The BERTual friends want to share this great poem. The poem is simply about life and everything else here on earth.

Nothing Gold Can Stay is one of Robert Frost's most famous poems. Written in 1923, this eight-line poem was published in the Yale Review in October of that year. It was later published in a collection — New Hampshire (1923; copyright renewed 1951) — that earned Frost the 1924 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry.~wikipedia.com

Nature's first green is gold

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.

In the Beginning

THE BERTUAL FRIENDS - perhaps the most notorious faction of the IT sector of the Javamatons. They are known as the Bad Boys while Prof. Catherine Nuyad called them the Macho Boys. But how did this group came to be?

These guys started as individuals. They do not know each other on their first day in college.

At the beginning, only two members are close as brothers - Wevino Lumapac (junboi) and Christian Carl Velasco (tianac). Joseph John Cezar (seph) was with Fulgencio Alidon at that time. Alberto Dominguez (berto) was with Gibson Siamoc and Gregg Varona. Aldrin Mirambel (drin) was with Grace Go. Cezar then started to hang-out with Wevino and Christian. This alliance of the three is considered as the embryotic stage of the Bertual Friends. These three are considered as the original members of the group.

"Kami man jud tulo ang una nga mga miyembro ani. Kana si Berto kay di mana original. Mao dako au nga sagpa na sa amoa nga BERTual friends ang gepangalan. hehehe. [We are the original members of the group. Berto is not an original member. That's why it is a big insult to us when the group was named BERTual Friends]" - Wevino Lumapac.

When Grace Go shifted to another course, Aldrin Mirambel befriended Jezreel Jer Crystal of the infamous Papzjer's Crew. Alberto went to a solo flight.

The second semester of the School Year 2008-2009 became the bridge to a whole new world for the guys. It was in this semester that all five men became classmates. They started playing DOTA together. And then at the end of the day, they go home together. They do things TOGETHER. And this chain of events bonded them and strengthened their bond. During the second semester of their last year in college, they coined their group name BERTUAL FRIENDS (from Alberto's name). And the rest is history.
