My first two kids always liked having a bar to hold on to and look over and also put their feet up on when relaxing. It it's lowest position, it's just right for my 1-year old to hold on to and grab her sippy or snack cup out of (She's a small baby - 40th percentile). At it's middle position, I can fit the Graco infant seat - it's a tight fit, though. ... Let me begin by saying I like well-designed, good-looking, useful products. I wanted to like the Mutsy spider. I was really disappointed. A lot of style with not a lot of good function here. Here are my complaints.

1) It's HEAVY. REALLY REALLY HEAVY... and awkward at that.
2) The fold is easy to do. But it doesn't stay locked in place and when you have to lift it into a car... see #1
3) The triangle-shaped basket is totally useless. If it were square and just shallow as it is you could at least "rest" something on top of it. No such luck.
4) The seat doesn't get vertical enough. My kid had a hard time seeing because he was so far laid back (in it's highest position)
5) the seat back is almost completely flat. It doesn't hold a smaller child very securely. Most strollers are sort of hammocked in the back to hold a child from falling over the side. if you kid fell asleep in this he would easily hang out of the side.
6) The sunshade is almost as useless as the basket.

Basically, it's too impractical for an everyday stroller (no storage, no cupholder, almost no sunshade), but it's too heavy to be considered a 2nd or "travel" stroller. ...

... I bought the hitchhiker buggy board for our 3 yr toddler to go onto our Valco baby Tri mode stoller. We opted for the board attachment vs. the toddler seat attachment since the toddler seat raises the center of gravity too much for a 3 wheeled stroller and it becomes very tippy. The hitchhiker is very adjustable and works with many strollers (although I tried it on a BOB stroller and it barely fit, so make sure you try before you buy). My Daughter loves standing on the board and this option is alot easier and more portable than a double stroller. After three months of normal use the part that held the wheel to the board (the wheel shock) broke. Valco baby USA was good at replacing the board but I can't help to think it will happen again due to the poor design of the wheel shocks. With the wheels offset from center, the shock does not compress smoothly and there is alot of friction and torque on the thin plastic parts inside, which I believe lead to the breakage. There is a one year warranty from Valco Baby but it may be good to check the return policy of the retailer you buy it from. ...

Overland Limited Jogging Stroller

... I'm a first time mom and this is the first jogging stroller my husband and I purchased. We liked it even before our daughter was born! We tried it out at the store and even though it's big it's a comfortable ride.

PROS: I like the style. Love the five harness strap. Great reclining position although my one-year-old isn't interested in this feature. Love the adjustable handle to keep my jogging/running form. Enjoy the 16" bicycle tires which make it fun for my daughter to go over bumps, ruts and pot holes with little disturbance. Great shocks! Wonderful storage below that's easy to access. Like that it's a front locked tire since I only use this jogger for jogging. I don't take it to the mall or for shopping -- just out on the trail. Love all the extra storage with the side pockets and pockets near the handle. Great hand brake and very useful for the downhill terrain. Wonderful foot brake, easy to use and keeps the stroller in place. I don't use the music player I keep my wallet, cell phone and keys in that compartment. Easy to lock.

CONS: A little on the heavy side. I'm able to put it in the back of our truck and bring it up and down our front steps, but it's definitely not a lightweight stroller. Canvas doesn't extend far enough out to keep the sun out of my daughter's eyes, but I do have her wear a wide brim hat. Folds up relatively easily but it's not all that small. It does take up space even when folded but this isn't a huge problem for us. This is strictly a jogging stroller and not a stroller for around town. It's too big and is difficult to maneuver in small spaces. Having said that I have no trouble with it on the trail and control it with one hand for the most part.

Overall I'm pleased with this stroller. My daughter is safe and comfortable inside and she often sleeps halfway through my morning jogs even when I do go over bumpy terrain. I think it was a great purchase for our money. We bought it at the first of the year and it was on sale so that was a good thing budget-wise for us. I'm very satisfied with the Jeep Overland jogger. ...

We just received this stroller two days ago. It is beautiful and looks every bit the price tag. We are somewhat worried about the size of the stroller because we live in the city. That said, the extra seat cushion is ultra comfortable and our daughter literally giggled when we put her in for a test-sitting!

The color combination is very chic and the wheels move smoothly even when pushed quickly down uneven city street.

I do wish the hood isn't so wide and high but it does offer uva/uvb protection and that was the main reason we choose this model over the lighter and probably more city friendly Maclaren strollers. ...

... I bought this stroller as an all-purpose, from running errands to rollerblading a smooth path at the lake. There were a couple of things I did like about the stroller, namely-

* the price
* the ease of pushing and turning while walking
* the sun shade, which pivots fully down to address low sun angle
* the simple fold and lock

However, significant cons resulted in my returning it after one week:

* when the swivel wheel is unlocked, while trying to pull it backwards (i.e., away from a car or out of an elevator) the front wheel immediately turned 90 degrees and jammed there, causing the stroller to stop rolling abruptly. This happened every time and the only way to address it was to push down to lift the front wheel then pull the stroller.
* the harness-- while easy to get on my kiddo (3 months), the nylon is not padded and would slip to the side of his crotch and cause him to sit a little askew, which looked really uncomfortable (he never protested, however)
* MOST IMPORTANT CON TO ME -- the stroller could not function as a jogger. As with so many of the other reviewers, once I got going at a decent clip on my rollerblades (my first trip out), the front wheel started to shimmy so violently that my son was bouncing in his seat. This is both unsafe and unacceptable for a new product.

Bottom line: This stroller is an excellent value if all you plan to do is walk. With the exception of the wheel turning 90 degrees when pulling in reverse (which honestly, I got used to working around) it performed well during the week we owned it on holiday in Mexico on rough cobblestone streets and bumps, and even on the beach), but if you plan to use it for any physical activity beyond that, I would not recommend it. ...

Joovy Groove Stroller Pink

... I bought the pink Groove for my 22-mth old. She's tall, and has oodles of space above her head before she hit the sunshade. The seatback is taller than most umbrella strollers. I don't think she could possibly outgrow this stroller. I could just fit myself (140 pounds, 5' 6") in the wide, extra deep seat! The foot rest comes up for extra napping length or to rest legs out on it. Fantastic recline - I would use this for a newborn without a concern (maybe tuck more padding underneath baby perhaps?) The recline mechanism is extremely smooth and actually one-handed. The fabric is thick and good quality - canvasy on front, possibly weather-protective on outside. The light pink is pastel and very vibrant/bright. The sunshade is magnificent (the real reason I bought this stroller) - unbeatable for sunny vacations. While this has an umbrella fold, I do not feel it is that compact - deep from top to bottom, about 15" wide even when folded and extra long in trunk. Also on the heavy side (for an umbrella stroller) for packing and unpacking or carrying whilst folded. The steering was fine on level ground, but it was quite a load pushing my 23 pound child with the 17 pound stroller uphill. It rode over grass no problem. Wheels are squeaky - typical these days. Handles extremely comfortable - I did constantly kick the back of the stroller wheels, though. The pocket on the back of the fabric is good for probably wallet, cellphone, keys and a couple of diapers and wipes. The drinkholders hold a 16oz water bottle but nothing wider, so not terribly functional, however you could put your cellphone/keys in this spot if you wanted, as it does velcro shut. Forget about using the basket for anything more than throwing individual small items in. Whilst it is an average-sized umbrella stroller basket, even with the seat fully upright, the access space from front to back is about 5 inches - most people would not fit a diaper bag through this space (I've never used a diaper bag, but even I was largely unimpressed with this basket). This really was a bit of a deal-breaker for me, as this was to be an outdoor vacation (x 3) stroller, so I figured an accessible, if not large, basket would be pretty necessary. I really wanted to like and keep this stroller (!), and may have if I didn't already have 2 other strollers (jogger for daily, rugged walks and freebie featureless umbrella stroller), but the large fold and extremely hard to access, small basket tipped me over the edge, and I returned my product. I figured I could pay a lot less to kick the back of a stroller (!) and to have a tiny basket. I also felt it handled bumps etc in an extremely average fashion - again, I could pay less to have bumps and jolts for the kiddo! Having said all that, my kid LOVES this stroller and will probably bawl when she realizes it's going back in exchange for the Esprit Sun Speed (half this price). Bottom line, if your kid naps a lot, this stroller would be a godsend. It also would be brilliant for sunny climes. Also reasonable stroller (because of full recline) if you don't have a 'car' stroller yet, to take your kid right through from newborn phase to probably age 4 or 5. ...

Phil and Ted's Sport Buggy Travel Bag

It DOES fit!

I was not at all impressed by the lack of intuition and instructions that come with the buggy and the case, even though I think the buggy itself is fantastic.

To fit our buggy I tried all different configurations, and I thought I would have to take of the (adult) handle bar (we don't use the child bar yet as our baby is still small), and couldn't see how to do that.

So I took off the front wheel (and am about to have another try with it back on) and the CANOPY - and it fit very easily.

So, I think taking off the canopy is the key to fitting the Sport Buggy into this Travel Bag.

Too bad Phil & Ted seem to try so hard at having "cute" instructions - they seem to have forgotten to make them useful.

Needed a stroller for my 4 mos. old and 2-1/2 year old with occassional use by my 4-1/2 year old - pleased with the sturdy frame, sleek looks, 50 lb/seat weight capacity. Remember that baskets are for umbrella stroller, they are a good size.

My second choice was a Maclaren Techno or Triumph but couldn't justify the cost and the Graco fit all my needs. Chicco only weighted to 40 lbs/seat and we have not had good results from a Combi single travel system. Pleased with this stroller, my four year old can push it. Cool seat adjusters to lay down and neat the way it switches from five point to three point harness. Easy to collapse and fits nicely in the car. ...
