How to avoid installing an unwanted windows update

You may sometimes face some problematic patches in your windows updates that you don't want to install them, in this case you can hide that updates from your important updates avoiding installing them mistakenly among other updates.

To do so follow as below:

1- Open Start menu, Control panel, Windows update
2- Click on "View available updates" right below the Install button
3- Now you can right click on your disturbing update and hit "Hide update"

Of course you can restore these hidden updates later from the main windows update window by going to "Restore hidden updates" on the left pan.

Google chrome and Firefox browser's fonts are not smooth anymore?!!!

You might have noticed that your browser's fonts (except for Internet Explorer) are changed recently. It's happening after getting some Microsoft windows updates during early Feb 2015 and more accurately it's occurring after installing the following update:
Secuirity Update for Microsoft windows (KB3013455)

Uninstalling this update would solve the problem :)

To solve the issue do as follows:
1- Go to your start menu and then open your control panel
2- Open Programs and features then click on "View installed updates" in the tasks on your left
3- Wait until it reads your updates then in the search box of your window type this: KB3013455
4- If you find this update "Secuirity Update for Microsoft windows (KB3013455)" just click on it and then hit the uninstall button from the upper menu
5- When it's done, restart the computer
6- To avoid re-installing it during later updates see this post

An error occurred while internet sharing was being enabled !

If you can't share your Internet connection and face the error: "an error occurred while internet sharing was being enabled", then you'd better first check your Firewall and ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) services to be automatically started (as you might did according to Microsoft Community ).

But It might not help you overcome the problem; if so, then you're probably using a modem (ADSL, Wireless router and so on ...) to access the Internet on your host computer. So it would be wise to check your DHCP range in your modem configuration. By default most of the routers have DHCP pools in 192.168.0.0 range, so I suggest you change your DHCP pool into 10.10.0.0 range for example.
Hope it solves the problem completely :)

How to solve the conflict problem between iPhone and wireless routers!

If your wireless router hangs when you try to connect your iPhone via WiFi, don't bother yourself by changing your wireless channels or other settings on your router or your cell phone, because the problem originates from DHCP operations. So here is what you should do to solve the problem completely:

First, check your wireless router's date and time and update it.

If the problem persists, you have to find out if your wireless router can reserve predefined IP addresses to your devices. Most of wireless routers have this feature, and normally you just need to look for "Address reservation" in your router's settings. It might be somewhere in LAN or DHCP settings.

All you have to do is to connect your devices (all of them your computers, laptops, and mobile phones) one by one, and add their MAC address in the "address reservation" section. Try to connect your iPhone device as the last one and restart your router if it hangs until you can detect the iPhone mac address and add it to the address reservation list. It's done.

(Note that you should assign their IP addresses from the DHCP pool which are mostly in the range of 192.168.1.0 or 192.168.0.0. By the way check out your DHCP pool in your wireless router first.)

In 3D Modeling workspace, you can simply use the trim command as below:
1. Select your set of objects.
2. Go to the section panel or solid editing and hit the "Extract Edges".
3. Now hit the trim.
4. Press Enter to select all.
5. Type "p", then press Enter.
6. Type "v", then press Enter.
7. Be careful to choose your desired UCS view.
8. Select your object to trim and press Enter :)
