Angel Tree

Our Angel Tree already has quite a few donations under it. We collect toys, treats, food and other items all season long and then donate the items to 3 different rescue groups in the area. The groups benefiting this year are Double Dog Rescue, Hot Water Rescue and Our Companions. If you are interested in donating items to the Angel Tree, just stop down anytime during our business hours and lets all help give some homeless pets a fun holiday. And, of course, all of the pets on the tree are looking for loving, forever homes.

It is time for the always fun Pet Photos with Santa! Bring your pet to Best Friends in Avon on Nov. 20th from 10am -2 pm. to have his/her picture taken with Santa. We have 2 wonderful dogs from Hot Water Rescue that are looking for their permanent loving homes. Dixie is a pretty brindle Pitbull cross. She is so sweet and loves everyone and all dogs. She is almost 2 years old, spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. Bradley is a big Pitbull/Am Staff cross. He is a 3 year old neutured male and up to date on vaccines. He would do great in a household where he is the only dog. He loves to give big slobbery kisses and has lots of energy. Our Doggy Day Camp will be running until it gets too cold outside to keep the dogs out for an extended length of time. Does your dog like to make new friends? Best Friends Pet Care & Whole Foods Market has teamed up to put on a great charity event benefiting the WWF Gulf Oil Spill Relief Fund. The event will be held on July 24th from 11am-2pm at Best Friends Pet Care (60 Harris Rd, Avon CT). We will have carnival games for dogs & humans, contests, a doggy water park, vendors, pet adoptions with local rescue groups, food, face painting, and family entertainment. In addition, our vendors will also be providing lots of great goodies to all attendees and there will be great prizes for all of our games & contests. All proceeds from carnival game tickets will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund!
