Lauderdale Gay and Lesbian Film Festival (FLGLFF) promises an exciting variety of personalities and parties in conjunction with its fifth annual event, October 10 -13, at the newly remodeled Classic Gateway Theater in Ft. Lauderdale.
heart of the film festival is, of course, what’s shown on the silver
screen. But afterward, the festival is all about being seen,” said Mark
Gilbert, chair of the FLGLFF board of directors.
Following the Opening Night screening of G.B.F., lead actor Michael J. Willett,
whom the “Huffington Post” has called the “next break-out star” for his
performance in the film, will be the special guest for the G.B.F. Opening Night Party. An evening of cocktails, burlesque and beats hosted at Stache, a “1920s Drinking Den” in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Master mixologists will be on hand to serve uniquely crafted cocktails and beer courtesy of Bud Light. Sultry, sexy burlesque star Aurora Natrix will tantalize guests with her provocative show and then after her show, Stache’s popular resident DJ will provide the beats.
The party begins at 9:30 p.m. with the burlesque performance at 10 p.m.
