Summer is one of the BEST times to take gymnastics classes. Classes are typically a little bit smaller and the kids are not in school, so their brains are not as “tired” from school all day. You don’t have to rush around doing all of your after school activities; you just get to come to gymnastics. Many people are worried about missing class because of vacations. Don’t worry! If you miss a class, just call us to schedule a make-up class when you return. If you miss two weeks in a row due to a vacation, you can come two times per week for two weeks to make up the missed classes. We offer unlimited make ups year round so you’ll never run out of them.

Also, by staying enrolled in your class, or enrolling for the first time in the summer, you are guaranteed your spot as we move into the fall. Since our level one classes are small (6 kids), they can fill up pretty quickly. If you’re enrolled, then you will be one of the six in the class. Remember, we don’t have sessions; our classes stay the same year round.

Don’t forget to tag Best Gymnastics in your pictures of your kids in the gym on facebook to win a FREE month of gymnastics, have your picture displayed in the gym and featured as our cover photo on our facebook page!  We still need 4 more pictures for the contest to be active in May.  Here are the details on how to enter:

1. Take a cool, creative picture of your child(ren) at Best Gymnastics. Take the photo during class or while waiting for class to start or after class or during Open Gym or a birthday party. It’s up to you!

2. Make sure you’ve “liked” Best Gymnastics on facebook.

3. Post your picture to your own facebook page and “tag” Best Gymnastics in the photo.

4. Every month Best Gymnastics will choose 1 winning photo and that child will receive a FREE month of gymnastics ($79)! Your picture will also be displayed in the gym AND be our cover photo on our facebook page! We’ll look for the most creative, funniest, most interesting, or cutest photo. In order for the contest to be active each month, 5 different customers must post photos.

5. You can post as many photos as you want as they’ll all be judged independently! We’ll simply look at the photos posted during the month.

Our office will be open Tuesday – Friday from 10:00am – 3:00pm to collect June tuition payments, take registrations for Best Gymnastics Summer Camp, classes, or any other services you need. Best Gymnastics Afternoon Open Gym Schedule Change is an update from Best Gymnastics.

During a camp session each child will have the opportunity to:

• Jump on any of our 6 large trampolines.
• Swing, jump and play in our Foam Pit.
• Play super, fun filled games while enhancing physical, social and cognitive skills as well as listening and following directions.
• Jump down our 40 ft tumble track.
• Make a creative craft to take home to you.
• Enjoy a delicious snack and juice.
• Have instruction time on either the beams, bars, trampolines, rings, parallel bars, vault and floor.
• Have lots of fun with friends and meet new ones too!

All of our camp sessions are lead and supervised by experienced coaches. Our priorities include safety, physical fitness, promoting self-esteem and all while having LOTS of fun! The campers will be divided into age appropriate groups and will rotate to different events in the gym. We keep the rotations relatively short to keep the students moving and having an amazing time.

Best Gymnastics Summer Camp is for ages 3 and up and is offered June 4th through August 24th (closed 7/4). Camp sessions are from 7:30am to 12:30pm and 12:30pm to 5:30pm and costs $25 per each five hour session. If students are attending our morning session they will need to bring a lunch. Sessions are filling up quickly so book yours today!

We offer two weekly specials:

• Five,  Monday – Friday 1/2 day sessions (AM or PM session) for $109

• Ten,  Monday – Friday, all day (AM and PM sessions) for $199.

Best Gymnastics | Pajama Party is an update from Best Gymnastics.

The Best Gymnastics Level 5 Girls Team competed at the Level 5-8 TAAF Texas State Championships this past weekend in Allen, TX, and walked away from the meet with 13 championship titles and a total of 24 individual and team medals. The girls took the silver medal in the large team competition, behind the first place team by only .125. Alexa Bean won the All-Around competition in Division 1C and the silver medal on balance beam. Savannah Bickhaus also won the All-Around competition in Division 3A. Competing in Division 1A, the toughest division in the competition, Sonia Bhattacharya won the silver medal on vault and Gabriela Capdevila won 4^th place on balance beam and 8^th place on vault. In Division 1B, Kaitlyn Kerns earned the gold medal on both floor and balance beam and a silver medal in the All-Around. Also in the same division, Morgan Russell walked away with a 7^th place finish on balance beam and All-Around and an 8^th place finish on bars and floor. In Division 1C, Sarina Bhattacharya won the gold medal on vault, a bronze medal on balance beam, and finished 2^nd place in the All-Around, .075 behind her teammate, Alexa!

In Division 2B, Stephanie Laseter won 2 gold medals, one on bars and one on balance beam, while finishing 5^th in the All-Around. In Division 2C, Kendall Bailey won the gold medal on floor and balance beam and 8^th in the All-Around, and Emily Pfeifer won a gold medal on bars with a session high score of 9.8! Emily also won a bronze medal on vault and in the All-Around. In Division 3C, Halle Holden tied for 1^st place on vault, and also won the gold on balance beam, and added to her medals with a silver on floor.

Aarthi Lokram competed in the Level 4 State meet the weekend before last and won the state vaulting title with a 9.85 in Division 1A. Adding in Aarthi’s win, the Best Gymnastics Level 4/5 team won a total of 14 state championships for the 2012 season! We’re so proud of all the girls’ successes, and can’t wait to see what they win next year!
