Not only does it look nice, when I ran on it, it’s smooth and can take a fair bit of pounding. The speed and incline change work very well. When compared to other machines it is quiet.

The TR3000i is built solid and is very sturdy. It doesn’t shake one bit when running. The weight of the machine does make it a challenge when first setting it up. You need to set out a place where you want the treadmill before delivery. Because the treadmill folds, it makes it easy to store when not in use. Lifespan’s customer service is top notch. If you call their customer service line, you will receive good advice and have all your queries dealt with.

Although the motor is adequate it would be better if it was a 3.0+ HP. This would make it a bargain for runners. There are a number of control buttons on the machine and display, so it might take some getting used to. If you do purchase this, make sure you find a local dealer for maintenance.

 What Others Have Said About The Lifespan TR3000i

On Amazon nearly all the feedback have been positive reviews. There was one review where a customer stated the machine was rattling. This is something that should not happen. I would give Lifespan a call, just to confirm whether the machine is faulty or not.

A really good treadmill for walking and running. Setting it up was easy plus it folds up nicely. I did end up buying a treadmill may so that I could place it on the tile floor. For a home treadmill, this treadmill offers some good features. I have highlighted the main ones below.

  • If you are looking for a treadmill that has a powerful motor, this is it. It has a 3.5 HP continuous duty motor which means you can run at high speeds without any worry. As mentioned in the buyer guide, a 3.5 HP motor is one of the highest specification motors you will find in home treadmills.

  • The heart rate control with the chest strap is ideal for serious runners looking for accurate measurements.
  • There is something called a cushion flex system that helps reduce the impact on feet, ankles, hips and other joints. If you have had walking or running related injuries the F85 Sole accommodates less pressurized impact.

My Opinion On The Sole F85 Treadmill

sole f85 treadmillI own this treadmill and since purchase I have been very impressed by it. I use it for regular running, and it is very smooth upon impact. It has been built with commercial treadmill features with home use, in mind. The built in fan is fairly standard and the speaker quality is not some top of the range sound system, having said that you are not purchasing it for those reasons. Although, I have had no problems with the treadmill so far, I did try emailing and contacting the support team just to see how responsive they were. Calling them is the best option.

Assembling the treadmill is fairly easy. It took me about an hour to do it, but you need to make sure you decide on where you want to keep the machine. You don’t want to be moving it around to often because of the weight.

The things that stand out for me are that it’s folding feature is very easy. Sole fitness offer a 2 year labor warranty should things go wrong. So far I have not needed to call about any problems. There is no cool down feature which to be honest is really a big deal. As I mentioned previously, I run on it at least 4-5 times a week on average 20 minutes and it feels solid, study and creates low noise on impact, which is ideal for home use. I would definitely recommend the Sole F85 treadmill for anyone that want’s an all round treadmill at a reasonable price.

Any Improvements?

  • The fan is fairly typical of most treadmills, just standard quality.
  • The built in sound system is not the best, but this is fairly a minor caveat.
  • You will  notice the speed adjustment is a bit sudden. When you change from running to say fast walking you will notice the slightly sudden change as opposed to gradual.

The Lifespan 1200i represents good value. Priced at less than $1000, it has some strong features ideal for walking and jogging. It is fairly quiet which is ideal for the home or apartment. It allows you to track your progress using the Lifespan Fitness Membership. It is also offering a lifetime warranty on the frame and motor, 3 years on parts and 1 year on labor. Having good warranty is important, just in case things go wrong.

Amazon ratings are very positive for this treadmill 4.5/5 stars. Having tried out the treadmill myself, I gave it a 4 star rating. I don’t just rate treadmills based on other opinions, I research and at most times try out the machine. Which retailer you buy from is entirely your choice, but you need to consider certain factors when you make your decision which are listed below.

Room For Improvement?

  • 2.5 HP motor is fairly standard for this price. It’s okay for walking and jogging, but not for serious running.
  • If you are on the heavy side, I know it says it can take up to 300lbs, but I would consider that as 280lbs.
  • No built in fan. Although most treadmill fans are not very powerful, it would have been good to have one built in.
  • The running surface of 20 by 56 inches is fairly standard. If you a fairly tall, you need to consider treadmills with a 60 inch surface.

Overall, the Lifespan TR 1200i folding treadmill offers good value for money. The machine weighs nearly 210lbs so it is easier to move around and fold. “I received this as a Christmas gift and I have to say I absolutely love the treadmill. The Lifespan TR 1200i folding treadmill is super quiet and is ideal for my 2nd floor town home. The driver took the treadmill off the truck and up the elevator and to my door. I was intimidated by the prospect of assembly so I paid my maintenance man $50.00 to assemble…money well spent. I could not be happier with my Lifespan and would recommend this treadmill”.

  • 14 workout programs. There is 1 manual program and 13 speed, incline programs.

This 5.65 treadmill doesn’t claim to have all the features a top model would have but at this price it would be hard to find a machine that offers solid features. The treadmill components are well built, and it works smoothly for walks and jogs. The design, features and warranty make this one of the top treadmills priced at $999.

It’s not a treadmill for serious runners and it doesn’t claim to be. If you are looking for a machine that is good for jogging at home, the smooth 5.65 treadmill fits the bill. It’s compact design makes it easier to store.

On the downside the fan is not great. If you are working out in hot summer months indoors, you will need an external fan. The machine is quiet but it would be better if you purchased a mat. I would give yourself an hour to assemble. The instructions are fairly easy to follow. The 20″x55″ walking surface is average suited for walking or jogging.If you are someone who is tall, you’ll most likely need a 60″+ inch belt.
