They found that they just had to click the button and buy the item.

While I can assure you I can't design such a site, and I certainly am not going to reveal how to design it in a free article even if I can, there are many ways to make your site more friendly to your visitor.

Use the following tips as a guideline to the design of your new site, or to evaluate an existing site. They are going to make your site faster, easier to use and more pleasing to your visitor. If you don't make a sale on the first visit, they might just come back a second time and make a purchase.

DON'T REINVENT THE WHEEL
Probably the first thing you want to do is to visit some of your competitor's sites. It will give you an idea of what your site could look like, what features you want for your own site and serve as a starting point for the design of your site.

Perhaps the best advice I can give you here is to look at the sites from a customer's point of view. As a customer, what do you like or dislike about the sites? Would you buy from them, and why? Are you going to revisit again, and why?

EASE OF NAVIGATION
In many cases, you don't read a web site like you would a novel. You don't start from page 1, continue to page 2, and so on.

You would probably "read" a site like you would a reference book. Maybe you will read the introduction to get an idea of what the book is about, and then you will skip to the table of contents to look for the location of the information that you need. In some cases, you may turn to the index at the back of the book to see what pages of the book the information you want is referred to.

Notice the navigation aids - the table of contents and the index. The first will be found at the beginning while the second, if available, at the end of the book. This is a standard observed by all books.

Your site should be as easy to navigate.

- Main Menu. You should have a menu, located either at the top, left or right, that directs users to the various sections of your site. This menu should be available from every page of your site, and at the same location.

- Site Map. If your site is relatively large, and you feel that users may have a problem locating the information they want even with a main menu, consider including a site map. Site maps give much more detail than the main menu and users will have an easier time locating the information they want.

- Search Engine. If your site is a very large site, including a search engine is a good idea.

FAST LOADING PAGES
Many webmasters will have broadband or cable connections and they tend to forget about the poor souls still struggling with dialup.

It is best that you keep the size of your pages as small as possible to accommodate the users with slow connections. A general guideline is to keep the size of your pages below 100k.

GRAPHICS
Pretty graphics are nice to look at. But unless your site is about graphics, it's probably best to keep it to a minimum. It distracts the users from your site, and increases the load time for your pages.

Don't forget to optimize the graphics that you use. The jpeg graphic format is a compressed format. You can choose to compress it as much or as little as you want. The more you compress it, the smaller it becomes, but the image is of a lower quality.

To optimize your jpeg's, start with a jpeg of acceptable quality. Save the jpeg with more compression and view it. If you find the quality acceptable, save it again with even more compression. Keep doing it until you get an image with unacceptable quality. The image before that will be your optimized image.

Note that you cannot go from a low quality image back to a high quality image. So remember to save your high quality images into a separate directory before trying any optimization.

CONSISTENCY
We discussed consistency regarding the location of your main menu. This consistency should extend to all areas of your site. In other words, your fonts, color scheme, buttons, etc, should be the same for all pages of your site.

TESTING
The computer on your desk is called a PC, or personal computer. Whenever I am asked why a particular computer behaves in a strange way, I will remark that the computer is called a "personal computer", and thus will exhibit its own personality. :)

Similarly, surfers viewing your site will also have their own personal computer, with their own particular combination of software and hardware. Therefore, it is best to test your site under as many different types and versions of hardware and software as possible.

- Browsers. Although IE is the dominant browser, some of your users may be running other browsers like Netscape or Firefox. Test your site in as many different browsers as you can. Also, don't forget to test it under different versions of the same browser.

- Screen Resolutions. Don't forget to test your site under different screen resolutions.

- Java and ActiveX. Many sites depend on Java or ActiveX to display properly. If your site needs a Java enabled browser, try it with Java disabled and see how it looks. If possible, it is best that your site will function correctly even if the users have Java or ActiveX disabled.

Defining the Traffic Exchange Industry

I was attempting to explain what a Traffic Exchange is to one of my colleagues the other day because we were talking about books. I told him that I had recently written an audio e-book about the Traffic Exchange Industry.

Of course he said "what's that?" Whammo, just like that I had his interest and was preparing to educate a new convert. My associates who is a smart guy informed me that Traffic Exchange does not exist in the dictionary, that point got me thinking.

After our conversation and my webucation of a new Traffic Exchange advocate I cracked open my trusty Webster’s dictionary, I also did a search online of course. Do you know what I found out? He was right.

The closest thing to Traffic Exchange in the dictionary online or off was “traffic engineering” which is not really close to what we are talking about.

How can an industry exist when it is not even defined? No matter if you are a Traffic Exchange enthusiast, owner Or just an occasional exchanger (surfer). I plea to you to get behind me in defining what we do.

Been Burnt, Scammed, Taken for a Ride...

Well don’t worry, we have all been there. I doubt there is a single network marketer or homeworker out there who hasn’t at some point in their career fallen for an envelope stuffing scheme, been talked into selling potions and pills, tried chain letters etc. But the important thing is to learn from your mistakes and take something from every experience.

My first venture into working from home came when I answered an advert in a local paper which stated I could be earning £2000 a week part time, all I had to do was call. So I did and ended up trailing along to a meeting about how much money one could make from selling herbal diet supplements and how easy it all was. So I signed up and paid the £200 for the starter pack. Full of enthusiasm I started my 68 year old gran off on the diet. Well the first week she lost a few pounds and all was going well. I paid out another £100 to have a load of leaflets printed and spent hours putting these on car windscreens. By the second week, gran had given up on the diet as the stuff ‘tasted funny’ and she was bored with a milkshake three times a day!

Then I decided to try selling the products via the internet. It was a slow process but I taught myself html coding and built my first website. Then came the hard task of trying to market my site and get people to visit it. This is when I discovered that you could apparently make thousands very easily and with no effort online, simply by signing up for a website and placing a few free classifieds. So I joined every ‘next big thing’, every site promoting untold riches, only to find that the program disappeared after a few weeks, along with my money. But along the way I learnt what I should look for in an online business, the best ways to market online and my web design skills improved drastically. At times I became very disillusioned and felt like giving up when yet another program folded, or sponsor failed to get in touch and offer support but I learned valuable lessons. And after one such online opportunity disappeared and having convinced a number of people to join me in this, I thought enough was enough and started my own online program. Even that involved a steep learning curve, the site had to be revamped numerous times, parts of the program changed but I put the knowledge I gained from being a ‘newbie’ into building a good stable program. People need support, they want to see proper products and a realistic and achievable pay plan.

So don’t give up, from every bad experience you will learn something, be it a new skill, what to avoid next time, what advertising works or doesn’t and so on. Like life home based business, especially on the internet, is a learning experience which you must embrace.

50 Things That Really Do Matter

In my opinion, these things matter...

1. Listening enough to care and caring enough to listen.
2. Being a dreamer but not living in a dream world.
3. Saying "It doesn't matter" and meaning it.
4. Being a positive influence in any way possible, to as many as possible, for as long as I possibly can.
5. Balancing justice with mercy and fairness with common sense.
6. Being patient and patiently enduring.
7. Earning credibility instead of demanding compliance.
8. Valuing the wisdom of discernment, the danger of pleasure without restraint, and the joy of victory with integrity.
9. Being worthy of trust and trusting what's worthwhile.
10. Enjoying all things small and beautiful.
11. Words that heal.
12. Words that help.
13. Gaining what I desire without losing what I should gain.
16. Maintaining the passion of purpose while avoiding the pitfalls of making hasty decisions with little or no discernment.
17. Watching "You've Got Mail" one more time.
18. Enjoying life for all it holds instead of holding out for all it has yet to become.
19. Giving praise without demands and encouragement without expectations.
20. Hugs.
21. Healing wounds.
22. And helping people realize their dreams.
23. Knowing when I can, can't and shouldn't.
24. Laughter for the sake of laughter!
25. Leading while not forgetting how to follow.
26. Honoring the honorable and avoiding the painful errors of the disgraceful.
27. Knowing the power of commitment, the rewards of self- discipline and the meaning of faith in myself, God and others.
28. Smiles — lots of them.
29. Learning as much as I can for as long as I can.
30. Standing for what's right when everything's wrong, and saying "I'm wrong" when something's not right.
31. Letting the music play.
32. Knowing I can and seeking help when I can't.
33. Just doing nothing at just the right time.
34. Filling my mind with all that is excellent, truthful, full of hope, and worthy of thinking about again.
35. Kisses that say "I love you" more than "I need you."
36. Treasuring ideas for their untapped potential.
37. Caring.
38. Giving.
39. And having fun.
40. Refusing to believe lies about myself or others regardless of the source — including what I hear from within.
41. Trusting enough to see good in people without blindly trusting in the goodness of all people.
42. Success without self-absorption.
43. Showing I know the difference between keeping the rules and listening with understanding.
44. Winning with dignity.
45. Losing with grace.
46. Avoiding the bondage of bitterness, the deceit of wealth without character, and the vanity of pride without gratefulness.
50. Loving for all I'm worth because in the end it's worth it all.

Yours for a day filled with beautiful moments in time,
Lee

Musicians Cross Creative Boundaries Into Internet Marketing Why Not You

Did you know that the gurus are the headline acts in internet marketing. They know how to grab the audience through their instrumentation they use just like musicians know how to craft catchy lyrics that make you buy their records. NOT making every effort to understand and enlist personal contact and build a personal relationship with each contact.

Not just, "here is the sales pitch", but a first hand account of what a contact is looking for and what and how they can build together and receive all the benefits.

It is the FOLLOW UP and relationship trust and business building with contacts that make the money.

Don't always expect everyone to find what is being promoted so spectacular they are willing to spend their money at first glance. If what is being offered is truly worth the marketing efforts and the follow-up information to enlist the purchase there will be the need to follow up for each prospect many times. List the benefits and bonus offers for acting immediately, at the same time remember don't waste the prospect.

First make the Contact, develop them into a Prospect and direct them into becoming a Customer.

Step ONE
Now more of the Sales BATTLE begins!

Third mistake... NOT having marketing and follow up program, a winning sales agenda must be designed to build a series winning strategies to SCORE. That's the bottomline...making money, and building the income stream. In this case NEVER waste a precious newly found prospect! Time, money and effort has been spent, don't lose the sale. Equally important follow up and continued contact is just as necessary as the original "sales pitch".

This means asking for the order AGAIN and expand the need for the prospect to have the product or service being offered. Timing, opportunity, closing the contact is a talent....practice and follow up assures the best sales potentials are not lost. Once you have a prospect never waste that contact.

Step TWO
Bottom line: It is more cost effective to retain customers than to acquire them.
The Internet allows the gathering of a sale here and there, but the development of real and useful listing of clients is yet another task. The objective should be selling a product or service online. But wait, how much did that sale or contact cost?

A plan for repeat business and building a relationship for future profits is in order. Finding prospects and turning them into customers and then developing a long term client relationship will take time, but a lot less money than our original investment in the first sale.

Don't waste one dollar of your advertising budget.

Step THREE
Many times the successful marketing professional will lay out some bait, a free offer, a special discount or some type of bonus to get that first order. Why? The successful e-market professional knows it is important to complete that first sale, get a loyalty and trust underway in order to build a new business relationship. Just as a tree grows and branches out so can the success with one new client. Future orders, recommendations and most important, additional introduced contacts for future sales is at stake.

How to properly evaluate a Paid-To-SignUp (PTSU) offer

A Paid-To-Signup or sometimes called Guaranteed Signup offers are a great way to build downlines.

If your a customer, an advertiser or the advertising agency then how well the signup program works will make a huge difference on your bottom line.

Lets look at the players. The customer is the person that has decided to signup for the offer that is advertised. The advertiser is the person that is building a downline to help their business grow. The advertising agency is a site and process managed to bring the customer and advertiser together. The advertising agency handles the exchange of funds between the advertiser and the customer.

The two most signicant attributes of these programs are the incentive(s) for the customer and the cost to the advertiser. However, whether you are the customer or the advertiser you need to analyze the complete program before you can make an informed decision.

Here are some items that you need to consider.

1. Cost
2. Incentive
3. Verification
4. Marketing & Advertising
5. Communication
6. Ease of Use

Lets take a look at each item in more detail and see the impact on the players.

1. Cost
The cost issue impacts 2 players. The advertiser and the advertising agency. As an advertiser you are drawn to the lowest price available. But that could be your biggest mistake. Ask, why is this priced so low? Is it because the advertising agency just wants your money? How much work will the advertising agency do to help you reach the best customers? For the advertising agency it is extremely difficult to compete when advertisers demand the lowest price possible. Advertising agencies must price their service high enough to cover their total cost. Not only do they have to account for the incentive payment passed to the customer but they have to account for their service costs. The time required to manage payments, verification, advertisement review, and more.

2. Incentive
The incentive is the amount of money the customer will get for completing the signup offer. In fact the incentive does not have to be just financial. It can take many forms but most system are design for cash being added to a member account. Some programs have much more flexibility so they are not restricted by inflexible scripts used by the advertising agency. Pay attention to this because it may be your most important deciding factor for both the customer and the advertiser.

3. Verification
How often have you used a PTSU option and just get frustrated with the whole process. too often I best. In fact some members have been suspended or even accused of cheating all because the verfication process does not work. The problem with many existing sites using the same old coding technology is that the featured was design for the site owner and not the customer or the advertiser. If an advertising agency cannot design a manual verfication process then they are not going to be successful in automating something that does not work. So make sure you completely understand who does what and when. Do not get caught in a trap where the advertising agency says ..that's how the program works and you rejected 10 times so your account needs to be suspend. The advertising agency is paid to deliver a fair and honest verification process so do not accept anything less than high quality.

4. Marketing & Advertising
Okay your looking for an advertising agency to help you get signups but are you getting any advertising for your money. After all you are paying for advertising. In most PTSU sites you get a place to park a link, a few characters to describe what you are selling to the passing visitors. That's not really advertising but more like marketing. The visitor has to go see what is available so he goes to the market to see what is for sale. Does the advertising agency provide a way for potential buyers from the public to see the available signups? No, that is seldom the case. You have to have a membership before you even get to see what is available. Look for an advertising agency that works with you and helps promote the available signups. The advertising agency job is to drive customers to your site and help them consume what you have to offer.

5. Communication
How well you understand a Paid-To-Signup program is entirely dependant on communication. Today I see many PTSU programs that do a horrible job on communicating to the advertiser and the customer. You see the same text over and over that is written as if the site owner is just waiting for someone to screw-up. This standard text from a default program install is not what I call communication. Look for an advertising agency that adds value to the advertiser by providing all the necessary procedures, FAQ, forum discussion, etc. so the customer is not mislead. Expectations needs to be documented. Well written explanation on how the whole process works. Take your business to sites that provide such things as online chats, live support, help desk system and other means to help communicate the entire process. That way you will avoid a lot of frustrations and not wast your time and money.

6. Ease of Use
How easy is it for you to create a PTSU offer? This is an area that has been neglected by many owners that offer PTSU advertising. For the most part it is because every owner is using the same script. Look for a site owner that invests their profits back into their site and you will soon notice new customization in this area. PTSU offers are an excellent way to build downlines but the advertising agencies have not invested a lot of money into new fuctionality. In my experience of using PTSU advertising in several popular sites I have concluded that all are inflexible. There is no ease of use. That may sound harsh but it is a fact and its time to make change to meet the demand. You can see for yourself on this forum what I had to do to better serve the customer. The future is in automation and don't be surprised if fjPTC is one of the first advertising agency to deliver on the huge demand for ease of use.

I hope this article helps you in your quest to build your downline using PTSU programs

In the meantime I provide to you my own version of this very effective form of advertising. For those who try my PTSU process I welcome your feedback. I have a project that will revolutionize the PTSU market. I need more people using my process so I can fast track my project and deliver a much better service for everyone.

Trash trips at Ritz like MLM?

Recently I read a Time Magazine article about posh lodging places like the Ritz Hotel that are offering unique day trips to their guest - like trash pickups.

It appears the "new resort" patrons of today want to feel good about themselves by partaking in community events during the day and drinking "$15 cocktails by night" according to the Time piece.

So what does that have to do with Multi Level Marketing?

The reason the Ritz is offering these type of community activities for their guests is because the franchise understands there is a current consumer want for these type of services.

I would assume the Ritz marketing team also came up with the "thinking outside the box" idea as a means to offer something their competition didn't.

MLM is much the same. To standout in this industry you have to understand your consumer, market needs and offer something unique that your competition hasn't caught unto yet.

Creative thinking. That will always give you an edge over your competition. So don't be afraid to venture beyond the routine MLM advertising and marketing methods. Try something new and succeed even further.

Are Hands Free Systems Right For You

If you are looking for a way to make money on the Internet and work from home I hope this article will help you come to an informed decision about hands free systems.

There are many work-from-home programs on the Internet today that will promise you the world; however most of these programs don't deliver on their promises. You "the author" write content-rich articles that will reach and be read by many people online. With the internet being used more and more to research products and services, this gives you a chance to capture the attention and interest of potential customers. Not only that, you will have an opportunity to brand yourself as a expert in your field to any one who discovers your articles. And we are just scratching the surface. If you have not been using this strategy in your business, you are missing more than you know. So... how does article marketing work?

Here is a step-by-step guide of the article marketing process that you will follow while creating the articles needed to promote your business. Start with choosing a topic related to your business that you can easily speak freely about, you need a premium quality, informative and 300 minimum word article that will capture your audience. For example, if you are in a health and wellness business, you can write an article that fortifies the importance of taking the proper nutritional supplements. Always write about something related to your niche.

Next you will create your resource box to be placed at the end of your content. You should include a brief summary about you, your business opportunity and a link to your sales page. Remember to brand yourself as an expert! It is this link in the resource box that will create a funnel effect from your articles to your website. This technique has the potential to result in a generous amount of new highly targeted traffic to your site. Now you need to submit what you have written all over the internet. There are tons of article directories that offer free submissions if you are on a budget. But paying for submission to a site is not out of the question if you have money set aside for article marketing. When somebody finds your article listed in one of the many directories and finds it interesting enough to read though to the end, there is your link leading to your sales page or business opportunity.

If done right, your article should hook the reader and leave them wanting to hear more from you. Using article marketing in your business will increase your internet traffic and potential customer base. There is also a chance that your article could get picked up by someone in need of content for their newsletter of ezine, and their readers will see you as and expert and probably visit your link in the resource box. Knowing that article directories are displayed on various websites, and seen by millions of people all over the world, search engines will rank your site and index it much quicker.

This secondary article marketing technique is called back linking. Back links are links to your website on sites, with higher page ranks, that have already established themselves as a relevant source of information. Simply put, you will share instant success with the sites that link back to yours. Getting listed by search engines can be a long and difficult process, often taking months to result in traffic to your site. Even then, you may wait several months and end up with mediocre page rankings. Back linking is a very powerful technique to get instant recognition, in a short period of time, with the least amount of effort.

If writing is not your thing, or you do not have the time, you can hire a ghostwriter to write your articles for you. You can expect to pay anywhere from 5 to 10 dollars for each article. The price will vary based on your niche, the article word count, and the quantity of articles you purchase. Once upon a time, it was an idea that spawned its creation from mobile phones to video games to sneakers, even the food we eat and the movies we watch. Some of the biggest and most respected companies today began their business by creating and then selling an idea that later became a product. That little seed of genius that floats around in your head may just be your ticket to fortune, fame and a dream come true. Here's how:

Creating The Product

There are several ways you can create a product. One is to create it from an original idea, another to rehash an idea that's already there and modify it and still another is to find the market first and then create an idea that will either meet a need or create one.

Design Your Product

You could keep your product as an idea in your head but it's best if you put it down on paper. This will help give you a different perspective on how you want it to be. Ask yourself questions: What will your product be? What will be its purpose or value? What will it look like? Will its design compete with what's already out on the market or will it affect its marketability?

Don't underestimate design. According to Apple's Steve Jobs, it's so much more than just veneer; it's actually interior decor. That means it is integral to the identity and function of the product itself. For the latest iMac model, for example, Jobs fought not to have a fan installed on the equipment. This resulted to a more intensive engineering design but a far more superior machine in terms of thermal management.

Research The Market

Having a product is one thing while having a market to sell it to is another. Determine who will buy your product. Is there a real market for it out there? Will it sell easily or will it have to rely heavily on a lot of promotions and advertising?

If you don't have a clear idea what your product will be, it will help if you look at the industry you're interested in and see if there is a need that you can fill.

Selling The Product

The very first thing you should consider when selling your product is strategy. There is so much more to selling a product you have created than just pushing it at someone. Look at your product from all angles and determine how it will compete.

Decide On Your Product Sales Route

How and where you will sell your product will affect your pricing and even its production and handling. Will you be selling it exclusively online or offline as well? Will you be using an affiliate program or direct retail? If you use an affiliate program, will your pricing cover for the commissions? If you will be selling in bulk, can you give discounts off the original price? Can the selling method sustain your business and help it grow?

Set Your Pricing

The next concern you should have when selling your product is pricing. Pricing has been the downfall of many would-be entrepreneurs and even more established ones, so if you're not careful, it could ruin your chances of success.

Make pricing part of your strategy. Determine the cost of production including overhead expenses and then put a reasonable markup on the product. Pricing should cover everything from the creation of the product to its sales. It should also be priced in a way that makes it attractive and yet promote its value at the same time.

Supply And Demand

Another consideration is supply and demand. How long you will be selling your product will depend on how long you can continue producing it. Where will the materials be sourced and are there factors that will affect how the product will be produced in the future? Is there real demand for the product or do you have to create it?

If your product has been created as a result of another product or to accessorize and supplement it, do you foresee any modifications that might adversely affect your product sales? If you sell customized leather casings for iPods, for example, you could face some serious production concerns once it changes its size or design in a major way.

Your Competitors

When selling your product, you need to keep your eye on your competitors. What they sell, how they sell it, to whom they sell it and for how much will greatly impact your business.

Promoting Your Product

Now that you have created your product, it's time to begin promoting your product in order to sell it. What type of advertising do you need for the product and where will you advertise? Decide whether building a website is enough or if you need to tap other more traditional methods of promotion. You will have to review your advertising efforts from time to time to determine if it benefits your business or takes away from it unnecessarily.

Buying And Selling Domains: How The Business Of Names Can Help You Earn Profits

Who would have thought that money could be made from names? With the advent of the Internet, industry regulars slowly realized the gold mine sitting literally under their fingertips in the form of domain names. These days, buying and selling domains has become a real business, with some highly sought-after names selling for five-digit figures. The domain name ClearDay.com, for example, reportedly sold for $60,000 while Mercury.com made a lot more -- $700,000. Think there's a market out there for your domain name? Here's how you, too, can make money from a name:

Find Domains That You Can Sell Later On.

Generally, people who buy or 'grab' domain names don't really have industry-specific monikers in mind. If you like jewelry, for example, you don't have to stick to buying domains such as PreciousGems4U.com or SparklingJewelries.net. You can pretty much pick any name that strikes your fancy and then buy it.

However, paying for names that won't sell later will considerably drill a hole in your pocket if you're not careful. You could buy dozens of names for a small fee but if you're not going to use them or can't sell them later, what's the point of grabbing them, right?

Do a search on domains that have a potential or those that have shown some sort of following in the past few months. Use the Alexa toolbar to find out which domains or sites are these. Look for names that have registered a minimum of 1,500 to 2,000 hits 30 to 60 days prior to your search. If you're willing to pay more, look for domains that have registered five-figure hits because that's an assurance that these domains already have a strong following. You can either sell the domains back to their former owners or have interested parties bid on them. Either way, you'll profit from your efforts.

Automatically Bid On Domains.

You can't always spend hours online searching for domains to buy. Try online grabbing systems that let you automatically bid on domains you're interested in. Sites such as Pool.com and Snapnames.com are just two of these sites. You'll pay them a fee if they successfully grab the name on your behalf.

Get Your Domain Name Listed.

Before you can sell your domain, you have to be registered. That's how you can be 'legally' recognized. Getting the name registered also bestows upon you the right to claim it and if you so wish, sell it later.

Registering a domain name may be done for a limited period of time, usually as short as 12 months to as long as 10 years. Beyond the chosen period, the registration expires and you can choose to renew it and continue to claim ownership over it. Or, you can choose not to; at which point the domain name will be made available to another buyer. This is where you can sell the domain.

Register A Potentially Valuable Domain.

Many people scour popular shows and events to try to find out which personalities, events or gadgets are developing a following. If you've been watching shows such as American Idol, for example, and you check out sites that register domains, you'll find a few that are familiar. This is because some people will try to register a name of some rising star who will potentially become famous enough to want to build his own website someday. Since his name is already registered, he will want to buy it back and thus earn the investor a nice profit.

If you don't mind speculating, this may be a good route to take. Just remember, though that it can go either way in which the domain name gets sold or it gets ignored.

Build Traffic To Your Domain.

If you want to take this route and build your domain from scratch, prepare to work. If you have a domain name that you created by yourself or bought, you need to make it valuable to potential investors. Offer high quality content, build a reputation, link up with quality sites, allow your visitors to interact using your website. Once you start appearing on major search engines' radar and gain a good following, you raise the value of your website and your domain. When the time is ripe, you can then sell that domain for a nice, fat profit.

Practical Tips For Building Adsense Websites

Google Adsense has changed over the years but it remains as one of the most reliable and efficient ways to earn cash online. It also offers a solid method of using advertisements to earn money. Since most of the technical work is done by the company, website owners simply have to strategize carefully in order to make their sites compatible with high-paying Google ads. But since much of the control over which ads are placed on your website is out of your hands, can you truly build an Adsense-ready website? We look at the ways you can make this possible:

Build A Site With Adsense In Mind.

In a vast marketplace called the Internet, there are some happy accidents. A few blessed site owners were just happily typing along, providing great content in their industry-specific sites and lo and behold, Google Adsense came a-calling. Not only that, Google liked their sites so much it even placed high-value ads just to show its appreciation.

But like we said, these are happy accidents and if you rely on them, you have a 50-50 chance of succeeding. If you truly want to build an Adsense website, you have to make sure your efforts don't go unnoticed.

To build a site designed for Adsense, follow these steps:

Focus On Providing Content.

Not just plain content but good, high-quality content. The kind that people will want to read, the kind that attracts other sites. The key considerations here are relevancy and value. Google Adsense is notorious for being picky about the websites it places ads with.

Putting up a website with some content will not cut it. Your site has to offer consistently great content. So polish up your copywriting skills, research your articles, post useful write-ups or if you haven't got the time to do it, hire someone to provide content for your website.

Also, if you want to build an Adsense website, don't build a directory site. Google Adsense ads are rarely placed here.

Be In Good Company.

Google places value on the types of links your website has. The better the links are, the higher your website's value. Think of it as getting the thumbs up sign from recognizable and respected people in your industry. This, in spite of the fact that you yourself are not as famous as they are. Once Google reviews your website for Adsense, they will find excellent links and let you run quality Adsense ads.

Put Value In The Structure Of Your Website.

Other than content and links, a Google Adsense website is a well-constructed piece of work. If your pages often hold up a sign that says, 'Under Construction', Google won't bother with you. Try to eliminate or at least minimize any broken links and build a website that is well-designed and easy to navigate. A website that is easy to use is also attractive to visitors, who will otherwise leave in a huff if your website proves to be difficult and unfriendly.

Work With Keywords That Make More Money.

Some keywords cost just 5 cents while others can cost from $10 to $20 per click. These are the keywords you should go for. Imagine having 1,000 visitors clicking on a 5-cent ad versus 500 clicking on a $20 ad and you have an idea of the value of using the right keywords and phrases on your site.

Follow Google Adsense Policies.

Google has restrictions on certain issues, including sexual content, lewd language and materials that are unreliable. Check out their policies to find out within what boundaries you'll have to work. If you don't meet certain criteria, all your hard work will be ignored.

Optimize Your Website.

The more relevant you are to a certain topic or industry, the higher your chances of getting noticed. To build an Adsense website, focus on producing content and building links that increase the relevancy of your site. This helps place you in high rankings for search engine results. Produce content that will get you noticed and try to keep your offerings original. Original content has a better chance of getting good reviews than re-published ones.

Draw In Targeted Traffic.

If your site is all about football and you want to increase your relevancy for Google Adsense ads, your best bet is to attract traffic that likes football. They are more likely to click on your ads than people who aren't interested in your topic. Getting targeted traffic will help raise your revenues and help you earn more from your Adsense website.

Marketing Tools For The Internet Trade

For every business and tech-savvy entrepreneur, learning about all the possible tricks in the Internet marketing trade is really an absolute must. I used to work as full time retail assistant 8am to 5pm and with 2 young kids I was giving most of my hard earned cash to the childcare center.

One day about 9 months ago a friend told me how she was making $300 a day for just a few hours work on her computer. I didn't believe her but she showed me how she was doing it and decided to try for myself. I started off by doing some online surveys and also selling on eBay.

Anyway, before I knew it I was earning double what I got at my normal job for just a couple of hours of my time in the evenings and weekend, needless to say I quit that day job !

Ever since then I have carried on working from home and the great thing is that I work the hours that suit me and my family. I can look after my kids during the day, I can do the housework, I can socialize and I can do anything else I want, I just fit in my online work when it suits. I have total freedom and total control over my income. If I want extra money one week I simply just put in more hours.

There are a few paid online survey companies around but if you're going to sign up with one of these it's best to go with one that has been recommended to you by someone who has used them before.

As for selling items on eBay you can source products to sell from the many wholesale directories out there but be careful, I have paid money for wholesale directories only to find that some of the suppliers don't even exist or they expect to be paid by Western Union. (never pay anyone by Western Union !) By far the greatest genuine wholesale directory if you want to source products cheaply is Salehoo.

There are many other ways to make a successful living from home online and I have compiled a list that I call my Top 5. These are definitely good starting points for anyone thinking of giving it a go working from home: www.workathomeforever.com

Life is too short to be spending all your time making someone else rich, work for yourself and get the rewards you deserve !

Before you rush out and quit your regular job, start off with one of the systems from my top 5 list (or any other mentioned on my site) working from home in your spare time and build up until you are earning an income level you are comfortable with, it wont take long. If I can do it then so can you :)

Whatever direction you choose in life I wish you all the best and goodluck !

Running an Internet Home Business for Profit

Everyone has different reasons for wanting to work from home. Some would like to stay home with their kids, while others can’t work outside the home for health reasons. Whatever your reasons are, an Internet home business can provide an income.

Usually, any Internet home business is not going to make any money right away. It will take time and effort to build up your new business before it will be at all profitable. Regardless of what internet marketers may tell you, you will not be making thousands a week with any Internet home business. Usually those marketers are trying to lure you into their program, that’s why they promise so much.

A Solution to Stay at Home?

There are several options for working at home, and an Internet home business is one of them. The first step will be to decide if you are even capable of working at home on your own. Are you able to set a work schedule for yourself and more importantly, are you able to stick to that schedule? If you need someone telling you what to do and handing you projects throughout the day, working with your own Internet home business may not be the best answer for you.

Deciding what exactly you want to do with an Internet home business is your next step. Do you want to start your own business? Or would you rather sell something and be a distributor for that product? There are so many options available on the internet that it can feel overwhelming just trying to sort out the junk from the real opportunities. If you decide to work for someone else in an Internet home business, make sure you understand exactly what you are getting into.

Some will require money up front, while others will provide support and help you to get started. If you feel at all uncomfortable with anything they are asking you to provide or do, step back and slow down. If it just doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Or better yet, check them out online. If they are trouble, someone will have posted their experiences with the company online.

If you plan on an Internet home business of your own, what do you plan to do? Transcription is one job that can easily turn into a good Internet home business. It is something that can be sent through e-mail, and when it is done, you can return it to the customer. An Internet home business of your own will require a lot of groundwork especially since you are laying out the ground floor for yourself and probably won’t have anyone helping you.

An Internet home business is a definite possibility. However, it does take quite a bit of time and effort to find one that fits with what you can and want to do. Take your time, explore all of your options, and then the real work will start. It is doable, so don’t give up if it takes a little longer than you expected!

10 Steps To Successful Selling On eBay

So you want to be a successful seller with your own eBay business, do you? Here's a simple, ten-step path to eBay enlightenment.

Step 1: Identify your market. Take a while to sit and watch for what sells and what doesn't out of the items you're interested in. Any market research data you can collect will be very useful to you later on. You'll probably see the 'sweet spots' quite quickly - those one or two items that always seem to sell for a good price.

Step 2: Watch the competition. Before you invest any money, see what the other sellers in your category are up to, and what their strategies are. Pay special attention to any flaws their auctions might have, because this is where you can move in and beat them at their own game.

Step 3: Find a product: Get hold of a supplier for whatever it is you want to sell, and see what the best rates you can get are - don't be afraid to ring round quite a few to get the best deal. If the eBay prices you've seen are higher than the supplier's, then you're set.

Step 4: Start small: Don't throw thousands at your idea straight away - get started slowly, see what works and what doesn't, and learn as you go. Remember that it's very cheap to try out even the craziest ideas on eBay, and who knows, they might just work!

Step 5: Test and repeat. Keep trying different strategies until you find something that works, and then don't be ashamed to keep doing it, again and again. The chances are that you've just found a good niche.

Step 6: Work out a business plan: A business plan doesn't need to be anything formal, just a few pages that outline the market opportunity you've spotted, your strategy, strengths and weaknesses of the plan and a brief budget. This is more for you than it is for anyone else.

Step 7: Invest and expand: This is the time to throw money at the problem. Buy inventory, and start spending more time on your business. Set a goal number of sales each week, increasing it each time.

Step 8: Make it official: Once you've made a few thousand dollars worth of sales, you should really register yourself as a business. Don't worry, it's not expensive or hard to do - a lawyer is the best person to help you through the process.

Step 9: Automate: You'll probably find that you're writing the same things again and again in emails or item descriptions. This is the time to give up on the manual method and turn to automated software that can create listings for you, and respond to completed auctions and payments with whatever message you provide.

Step 10: Never give up: Even when it looks like it's all going wrong, don't stop trying until you succeed. If you keep working at it then you'll almost always find that you make a real breakthrough just when things are starting to look desperate.

Once you get into the swing of things, you might start thinking that you should quit your job and take up eBay selling part time. But it's not always as easy as that - there are all sorts of factors that you need to consider.

10 Sure-Fire Ways to Kill Your eBay Business

It's surprisingly easy to kill your eBay business, if you're not careful - sure, you can start over from scratch without it costing you anything, but do you really want to? Still, if you want your business to end up dead in the water, here are some simple ways to do it.

Lie about an item: Say it works fine when it sometimes doesn't work. Say it's in perfect condition when it has a scratch. Your customers will hate you!

Post whenever you feel like it: Make sure to leave your customers hanging around, wondering when their item is going to turn up. This makes sure they buy from someone else next time.

Let items end anytime: Few people will be around to care about your auction if it ends in the middle of the night. Why go to the trouble of working out whether auctions will end at a good time?

Don't bother with email: Customers are just timewasters anyway. eBay businesses are supposed to run themselves! Never give informed responses to questions about your item.

Sell rubbish: Really, it's just eBay. You can just sell any old tat from the market for a 200% profit. Let quality be someone else's concern - I mean, really, what do they expect for that price?

Refuse to give discounts: You know what your items cost, you know what your profit margin is going to be, and you're not going to negotiate. Remember that giving customers special deals might make them feel good and come back to you again.

Make your listings ugly: As many colours, flashing lights and animations as possible will really give those customers a headache. Write as much in CAPITALS!!!! as you can. Preferably big, red capitals. Be sure to use the fonts Impact and Comic Sans. For an extra special touch, see if you can figure out a way to add some music.

Don't take photos: It's such trouble, after all. If buyers are picky enough to actually want to see items before they bid on them, then screw 'em, that's what I say.

Write short descriptions: Be as brief as possible, and use lots of mysterious abbreviations. This obviously makes you look very cool. You can even just write the title again in the description box. Think of the effort you'll save!

Use reserve auctions: Now, this is a fairly controversial final choice, but it really is one of the best ways to scare away your customers. They'll see 'reserve not yet met', and click that 'back' button before you know it.
