7. Point the desired pitch and pull it slightly sharp and then push it a little backward. Make sure that you perform all this is a single movement in such a manner that it may rest only at the desired pointed pitch. It is very important to do it in one step because if not, when the pin un-torques after an immense pull the string will flat automatically. The exact pressure to be applied will come from the instinct and experience.
8. Do not use the long and steady movements to move lever, instead use the short and quick jerks.
9. If you want to use the mechanical advantage of the handle and also want a good control, always hold the lever with relaxed fingers and hand.
10. Play the key louder as it distributes the tension uniformly on the string which consequently assures a normally played tune.
11. Being a piano player try to sense the movement of both string and the pin through the lever handle.
