FDA set to ban supplements in December!

If the FDA has its way, your favorite supplements will begin to disappear in a few weeks. The FDA has proposed new guidelines for supplements that may pull all but the weakest, least-effective supplements off the market as early as this December.

According to these guidelines, the FDA will have to put its stamp of approval on almost every supplement on the market. Supplement companies will have to spend millions of dollars to submit applications to the FDA for approval. And, as you'll soon see, there's no guarantee the FDA will ever approve any of the applications.

The FDA is telling the public that these new regulations apply only to "new" nutrients. However, there aren't any "new" nutrients. Remember, the nutrients in supplements are substances that occur in nature. This is what differentiates them from drugs. They aren't man-made chemicals. And people have used these products for generations. The only thing new about supplements is the scientific methods of extraction, the dosages, and the combinations. As our science improves, our ability to leverage nature improves. And the effectiveness of our supplements improves.

So the FDA isn't really attacking "new" substances. It's simply attacking the scientific advancements we've made in the area of natural health. This is as ridiculous as saying the earth is flat and putting a stamp of approval on it!

If these proposed guidelines become permanent regulations, the FDA will have the tools it needs to ban almost all of your favorite products. This would include products like probiotics, resveratrol, PectaSol, and Alginol. It also would include new forms of certain nutrients, such as Ubiquinol (CoQ10), tocotrienols, and lipoceuticals.

Why? Simply because science has found a better way to deliver these nutrients. Advanced Memory Formula, for example, has a fruit extract with European studies on safety and efficacy going back two decades. Remember, this is fruit we're talking about here. Not a manmade chemical. But because we just recently introduced it into the U.S., Advanced Bionutritionals will have to submit an application to the FDA for approval. And the FDA may never give its approval, forcing this incredibly effective memory-enhancer off the market forever.

As if that weren't bad enough, the FDA would have to approve other common nutrients. You would think minerals like magnesium, boron, copper, and others would already have the FDA's approval. Technically, they have approved their basic form. But the highly absorbable and far superior amino acid chelate forms of these minerals, like those in Healthy Resolve and Bone Support, are "new" and, therefore, subject to approval.

The guidelines also force any supplement sold in what the FDA considers "high doses" to go through the approval process. Remember, the FDA considers anything over the RDA to be "high doses," so most supplements would require approval.

It gets worse. The guidelines also could apply to any change in dosage that's occurred in the last 17 years. So if a product raised its dosage of vitamin C from 500 mg to 1,000 mg, that product will likely have to go through the approval process as well. So now we see the real scope of these guidelines. They could force almost every supplement off the market. The only ones you'll be able to find are those with the antiquated RDAs. Amazingly, any synthetic supplement, such as those sold by the drug companies, are exempt from these guidelines.

The FDA is saying these guidelines won't force any supplements off the market. But that's not true. Any supplement a company submits for approval must be removed from the market for 75 days or until the FDA grants approval - whichever is longer. Once the FDA has the application, the guidelines don't force the FDA to approve the supplement on any schedule. So the product could remain off the market indefinitely!

The truth is we can't trust the FDA. These guidelines are a direct contradiction to the mandate given the FDA by Congress. The FDA has proven it is a rogue agency obsessed with banning supplements one way or another.

Friend, this is a serious threat to your health! You already know how great supplements are for your health. Our bodies need as many nutrients as we can give them. And supplements are the safest way to get ample amounts. While supplements should never replace a healthy diet, this fact remains: supplements are safer than food. We hear about food-related deaths regularly. But supplement-related deaths are almost non-existent.

In 2008, the Poison Control Centers confirmed this. The government organization reported zero supplement-related deaths. In other words, while drugs were killing over 106,000 people that year, not one single person died because of a supplement. In 2009, only one person died from a supplement-related problem. And the Poison Control Center doesn't tell us what that supplement was - so it may have been someone abusing ephedra, which the FDA has already banned.

Rep. Dan Burton of Indiana said it best: "It is more likely that you will be struck by lightning and die in this country than it is you will die from using a dietary supplement."

And yet, the FDA wants to destroy your ability to take these completely safe life-enhancing nutrients.

Fortunately, the FDA guidelines are only in draft form right now. They have given us until December 1, 2011 to comment. At that point, they will decide whether to make the guidelines permanent or not. If they do, you will likely lose access to any supplement that can actually keep you healthy.

That's why it's absolutely vital you contact your elected officials immediately and tell them to pressure the FDA to abandon these draconian guidelines and leave the supplement market alone. Write your representatives and tell them about your experience with supplements. Tell them exactly what you take, how long you've taken them, and that you've experience zero negative side effects from any of your supplements. The more they hear about the safety of supplements, the more likely they are to pressure the FDA to back off these new regulations.

Please, please, please don't think the FDA won't take your supplements. Europe has already banned supplements and put thousands of people in the supplement industry out of work. It will happen here in the U.S. if we don't take a stand now.

So please take action now! There's a limited time to make your voice heard. If you don't take action today, you may not have access to any of your health-giving supplements tomorrow.

Facebook Spam .... Is That The Best Way To Market Your MLM?

Recently I have noticed a load of new mlm groups on Facebook and all they do is add random people to these group and you are greeted by a load of spam from everyone in the groups.

Now ask yourself what message are we sending by doing this?

Do you really recruit new reps into your company by spamming social networks or are you just throwing *** on the wall to seewhat sticks?

Lets say you recruit someone new are you going to teach them to do the same thing also of going to spam everyone on Facebook?

Why don't you try this instead and see if your results improve.

1. Find the needs of the people in the group.
2.Find their problems.
3.Provide a solution to those problems.
4. Position yourself as a person they would like to be.
5. Add real value to the group.

Do the above and see if it's better than spamming everyone.

I am really sick of being added to groups so that people can spam

How Much Support Do People Really Need?

To set the table for this question, let me share with you some comments made on my Facebook wall earlier today:

since there's a more than 95% FAILURE rate in this industry, I'd say that means that there's something VERY wrong with it... companies are NOT set up properly, the role of a sponsor is VERY important to new and inexperienced people...

For far too many "sponsors", their idea of "training" is to throw a bunch of worn out email and pdf's at the new recruit and tell them to "get on the corporate rah rah" call... ... which can be great... but are more like eating Chinese food... awesome while it lasts and, 20 minutes later, you can't remember what you ate (heard) and you are hungry all over again.

Let me first say that I believe any sponsor worth his/her salt is going to provide training and support to his team. It's not even a statement that needs to be made because....well, it should go without saying.

With that said, though.....how much support does a new distributor need? Obviously it's a question that will have many answers depending on who you ask. But it makes me think about how things were when some of us joined the industry years ago.

When I got started in my first serious endeavor, I went home from the meeting with

-- a company catalog
-- an 8-page booklet packet of 8 1/2x11 sheets that looked like it was a 10th generation copy of how the pay plan worked
-- the "pink copy" of my enrollment form
-- a cassette tape about the company

That was it. And that was probably more than a lot of the old-timers got when they joined the industry 10 and 20 years ahead of me.

And yet, I made it work. I enrolled 6 people in my first month. Within 90 days I was earning enough to quit my job. If I needed something and didn't have it, I either figured out how to do without it....or I create what I needed.

Back in the old "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" days, thousands of people got started and received little more than I did. Maybe a few copies of the cassette tape to hold them over until their own order came in. A booklet that explained how the tape system worked. A price list for products. That was about it.

A friend of mine joined Excel telecom in the 90s. He got a few nicer materials than I did but it was still nothing to really write home about. Most of it was company "propaganda"....no real sales tools or instructions on how to start building a business.

Fast-forward almost 20 years. Even the most LAME network marketing company offers 10X the amount of support that I (and many of you) lacked when we got started. And, from what I see, it seems that most companies offer at least some or all of the following:

A full schedule of conference calls
Recorded calls
PDF files
Weekly webinars and "over-the-shoulder" video training
Replicated squeeze pages
Printed materials
Autoresponders
Company sponsored promotions
List-building tools
Social media tools

And I understand that some of the things that we offer are a bit more complicated than the old days of "make a list of people you know". But, at the same time, whenever I hear people who say they "couldn't make money because they didn't have any support"......

....I find myself thinking, "Really? You honestly think you didn't have any support? You've got 100X the support that many of us had when we got started. And yet we had more desire than excuses. "

So it all begs the question: are people in our industry REALLY lacking support? Or are they lacking in self-reliance?

Skin In The Game - - How To Approach Your Start-up Package Promotion

Measure your offer to the individuals expectations for their business. If the prospect has been interviewed properly you'll know not to leave money on the table or promote a package that drives them off. Do they want to make a little or a lot? Do they want to make it fast or slow? Obviously the higher entry packages involve more product but they also unlock additional bonuses, higher percentage coded bonuses and the like. If someone is only looking to make a few hundred a month, odds are the product will be overload and the bonuses uninspiring.

Determine the need. Propose a solution. Present their options. Yes plural. Even after they convince you that they don't have any money they are still candidates for the bigger package. They are convinced based on limited knowledge. Knowing they have an option loosens that binding thought. Obviously if every thing is aligned with the highest package proceed to close on that package. Otherwise...

"Based on what you've shared with me, Rob, we have a couple of options for you. (Choice relieves the resistance that you might be forcing them into something.) You mentioned you only have $500 to get started and I can help you with that but.... The financial goals/timeline you have established will require a little more flexibility in your initial commitment. I wanted you to know that up front and I do have a package that pays additional achievement bonuses and higher percentages that could help us meet your needs, Rob, for [repeat their goals]. (Note US working to meet YOUR needs.). Your $500 can get started with our 500 Business Builder package that will (feature / result /expected yield) So you can see that to reach [repeat goals] in [repeat time frame] at this compensation level it can be done but you are going to need to reach more people which will require more time and more hours per week. Rob, is that stretch possible or should we look at the other possibility which would only cost a little more up front but qualify you for more and bigger bonuses faster? "

They'll look either way because if it's right they'll either find the money or confirm they really are limited but this also has them inviting you to break out the higher priced package that better fits what THEY stated they wanted despite what they claimed to have to spend. If it doesn't work, don't force it. You still have their commitment for the intermediate pack price.

Same scenario if they said they only have 100. you have a plan but... and plug the 500 into the example where I used the 999 or whatever.

On the 2 higher packs, If all else fails assess where the problem is and offer the prospect the evening to think about it if need be. Then if they aren't going to close on either, introduce your base pack with the understanding that it pays much lower but would give them the opportunity to get their feet wet in the business, entitle them to your group training calls, and once they begin building and see what is possible, upgrade.

It's about the prospect's needs not the prospector's. Help enough people achieve their goals and you will achieve yours.

Barry Minkow Below The Iceberg

Thought some of you who were around during Barry Minkow's bash-n-cash days might find this interesting.

As you may recall, Minkow publicly attacked several public MLM companies based on fraudulent charges with the intent to damage their share price (he was short these companies, of course).

This site is not meant to be just another beat down of Barry Minkow (who is going back to prison for extorting Lennar Home Builders). It is more an exposé of the ignorance and/or incompetence of those who were in a position to expose, and ultimately end, the several stock fraud and extortion schemes that Minkow was perpetrating on Usana, Herbalife, PrePaid Legal and Medifast, long before Lennar, and perhaps save his church and members of his congregation from harm as well (since his sentencing is has been reported by local news media that he scammed them, too).

Had any of the anti-MLM "fraud investigators" bothered to stop gratuitously and selfishly aggrandizing this man long enough to take a look beneath Minkow's iceberg they could have easily found what I and a few others found. Instead they chose to forgo any semblance of journalistic integrity and fully supported Minkow's scheme.

They not only directly contributed to his propaganda, they repeatedly praised and promoted Minkow's attacks within their own blogs and websites. This symbiotic relationship with Minkow would provide these MLM critics their Trojan Horse to, finally, get their anti-MLM baloney into the halls of the SEC and any other legal authority that had previously ignored them, but who were now paying attention to Minkow.

The Future of MLM?

I'll use successful to mean any income - mostly residual - from middle five to seven figure.

In our company there are:

1. Amish building from phone shed to phone shed, buggy ride to home.

2. Gens Y & Z working mostly on line and in their centers-of-fun.

3. Boomers mostly calling and meeting face-to-face with family, friends, strangers.

4. Moms networking home parties with other moms.

5. People setting up booths, tables, displays, and info centers.

6. Distributors placing classified ads and using Radio

7. All of the above all mixed together.

I think the future is all of that but growing more and more on line.

How To Pick A MLM Company

My reputation is very important to me... After joining a new start up company that didn't go so well... I'm a little embarrassed... and can't afford to make another mistake... so I want to share with you a little bit of my background and the process I went through to select the new company I chose. I believe it may also help educate you on how to pick a great company for yourself.

I'd also love to hear how others have picked their company.

I've been in network marketing for over 18 years. The majority of that time (12+ years) with ONE company. I would still be actively building that company if they had not made MAJOR changes continually that destroyed my team, enthusiasm, trust, and income. In the time that I was with this company... they had 7 different presidents, 4 different home office locations, 5 MAJOR compensation plan changes (and many other smaller changes), several price increases, several product changes, etc. This instability made it impossible to build a solid business... it was time to move on.

I've been looking for a new home for 2 years. After I realized things were not going to work out with this "Nu" company.... I started doing extensive research the last 3-4 weeks.... looking at literally 100's of companies... As a result... I couldn't be more confident in my decision. I have found a home I'm proud of.

Here's the process that I went through to find the company I chose...

The first thing I looked at was the product... the product was the most important thing to me. The product had to be backed by real science and research, able to produce real results, and have uniqueness. I was looking for something that I could confidently share with everyone... all ages... my closest friends and family... and believe that they would truly benefit greatly from it. It had to be something that was easy to explain and understand.

This alone eliminated a lot of companies for me!

The next thing that I looked at was the management and ownership. Did the company have a full management team of EXPERTS? People that had the experience, knowledge, and credentials to run a successful company. I was looking for a team of people that were mission driven, and had a purpose and passion for what they do. People that I believed were respected and had integrity. People that had a track record of success and the capital to do things right for the long haul.

This eliminated a lot of companies for me.

The next thing I looked at was the compensation plan. I was open minded about what type of comp plan it had... there are pros and cons to every plan... but I wanted a comp plan that was fair and balanced. I was looking for a plan that rewarded you for all the things you do - retail, build a team, and build leadership. I was looking for a plan that paid you well in the beginning when you just started... continued to pay you well as you built your team... and left some money in the end for true leaders. It had to be achievable... with reasonable, affordable qualifications and starter options.

The next thing I looked at was the marketing. look and feel. Did the company have a clean, professional, easy to navigate website? Did they have effective and compelling marketing tools... samples, brochures, websites, videos, testimonials, conference calls, webinars, presentations, etc. Was there a compelling story around the company and product? Did everything produce a professional, quality image?

I looked at the TIMING... was the timing right for the product? The product needed to be something that was attractive in today's market... especially something that the baby boomers would be interested in... but also have mass appeal to all ages. Was the timing right for the company? I was personally looking for a company that was fully launched and operational, but something not too old... so it had a lot of a lot of growth potential and not a lot of baggage.

Finally... I looked at the team / upline / corporate support, etc. Was there accessible leaders in the field and at the corporate office? Were they people I liked, trusted, and respected? Could they answer my questions truthfully and honestly without a lot of hype. Were they passionate? Believable? Likeable? Helpful? Was there adequate training? Was the "culture" something I could resonate with and be proud of?

This is how I picked the new company I am in. I didn't make my decision lightly. I'm not arrogant enough to think that there aren't other great companies out there... as I said many times... there is no "BEST" company out there for everyone...but I feel very confident in my choice FOR ME.

Policies and Procedures - - How Important Are They?

After three years of focused effort and constant observation of network marketing, I am starting to consider myself an "MLM veteran" and as such, one of the first things I look at when evaluating a new (or any) company is their Policies and Procedures.

I recently did an evaluation on an MLM company that I will allow to remain nameless, but I'd like to share a couple of excerpts from their P&P and get your feedback on the impact that these will have on the success or failure of the company.

Tools:
"Distributors shall not offer the [company] opportunity through, or in combination with, any other system, program, sales tools, or method of marketing other than that specifically set forth in official [company] literature."

Distributor Web Sites:
" ... Distributors may use only replicated websites provided by [company] to promote their business, and may not create their own websites to directly or indirectly promote [company] products, services, or the [company] opportunity."

Online Retailing:
"Distributors may not list or sell [company] products on any online retail store or ecommerce site, nor may you enlist or knowingly allow a third party to sell [company] products on any on- line retail store or ecommerce site."

Banner Ads/Capture Pages:
"Distributors may not use blind ads (ads that do not disclose the identity of the Company) or web pages that make product or income claims that are ultimately associated with [company] products or the [company] opportunity."

Spam Linking:
"Spam linking is defined as multiple consecutive submissions of the same or similar content into blogs, wikis, guest books, websites or other publicly accessible online discussion boards or forums and is not allowed. This includes blog spamming, blog comment spamming and/or spamdexing. Any comments you make on blogs, forums, guest books etc. must be unique, informative and relevant."

Sponsored Links / Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Ads:
"Promoting a [company] Replicated Website with sponsored links or pay-per-click ads (PPC) is not permitted."

Social Media:
"Social Media sites may not be used to sell or offer to sell specific [company] products or services or to present the [company] opportunity."

Commercial Outlets:
"Distributors may not sell [company] products from a commercial outlet, nor may Distribu- tors display or sell [company] products or literature in any retail or service establishment. On- line auction and/or sales facilitation websites, including but not limited to ebay and Craig’s List constitute Commercial Outlets, and may not be used to sell [company] products."

That's just a few of them... they all mostly involve marketing using the internet. My question is this - given the restrictive nature of these policies and procedures what are the chances of this company's success in growing to say 50,000 members?

Would these P&P turn you off from promoting this company (provided you were already confident in the product and pay plan)?

Would You Like To Buy a Box?

So I was at a horse show all of last week and decided to take some of my companies Energy Shots with me. Horse shows can be brutal for the trainers, grooms and exhibitors alike. Long days and night with very little sleep is typically the norm. So I figured , good market for energy shots.

Since the shots come in one ounce packets it was very easy for me to give some samples to people during my daily activities. The response was very positive and I moved about 20 boxes. However, in retrospect, their were a few comical instances when I followed up with a potential customer eg.

me: So did you get a chance to try the shot I gave you?

Potential customer: yes, I did.

me: Did you like it?

PC: Yes, I did

Me: Did you have more energy?

PC: Yes, it was great. I took it this morning, and I did not feel tired all day.

Me: Thats fantastic. Would you like to purchase a few packets or maybe a box?

PC: well...uh..mmm...oh I....mmmm.

me: you know, there is ony 2 reasons that you should get some of these. 1.If you would like more energy and focus during the day. and 2. If you would like to lose some weight. If neither of those appeal to you, you should not get any.

PC:well...uh...mmmm...yes...uhhhh

Me: Thats ok, let me know when you are ready to get some.

What I found comical is that for some people, no matter how well the product works for them, they just cant get themselves to buy when you ask them. Maybe they need to think about it. What about, I'm not sure.

Then there were also the people that bought 6 boxes from me on the spot, without even sampling it.

Just goes to show once again. People are all different.

Having A Retail-able Product

Having a retail-able product has been a lifesaver for me.

I can actually tell people "Hey this works and it is less expensive than anything similar that you will find in a store". I believe that most network marketing companies have good products, but from a retail point of view they always seem to be on the spendy side. Its been hard for me talking to someone about something and they say, well I can get that stuff at Costco for half the price. It may not be the same thing or, may not have the same ingredients but try to explain that to someone you just met.

Then I also found it hard to give out samples. How can you justify giving someone a $40 or $50 product that they may not buy or have any results with. Quick way to go broke.

Being able to give out samples that is about $1 per sample has been a game changer for me. So what if it cost me $50 for samples. I can get 50 people to sample my product and most everyone feel the results within 15 minutes. Most everyone end up buying from me because they feel the results within minutes. To me, that is effective advertising, probably way more effective than running a print ad for $50.

So, my plan is to do as much retail as possible, get my product into as many hands as possible and find business builders from that group. Is that not what most MLM companies tell you to do, but in most cases it seems that the only people that are willing to consistently buy products at high prices are the ones that are trying to build a business.

I always make sure that I have a few samples in my pocket, that way I am ready when the opportunity presents itself. Afternoons seem like an optimal time, because people are starting to run low on Energy. If they were to start complaining about being tired or low on energy, its very easy for me to say. Hey, try this, It works for me. You should have more energy within 15 minutes and its only a dollar. I also get a phone number from them by saying. Would you mind giving me your #, so I can hear what you thought of it.

If I'm still around them 15 minutes later, I'll ask them if they are feeling anything. Most people would have felt a warm sensation by now and an energy increase. They usually ask me where they could get some of the product. I hand them a business card or if I happen to have a few boxes in my car I can supply them right there and then.

I recently sold more than 20 boxes in one day using the above technique.

The market is huge, since everyone seems to be tired at some point during the day.

Sometimes, during my chat I also work in "Some people are also experiencing weight loss if they take this consistently. If increased energy did not peak their interest, chances are good that potential weight loss will. (most people feel they need to lose a few pounds even if they are not obese, so again its a huge market)

For me, I am always listening to what people are saying and seeing if I could find an opportunity to casually mention my product. Since I am GIVING them a sample, almost no-one says no to trying a sample.

Advice On Lead Capture Pages

If you're doing any kind of marketing online I think it's smart to have a squeeze page - but things have changed a lot from just a few years ago. It used to be that someone could watch a short little video and that was all they needed to request info. Now I think people are demanding a little more information before they opt in.

One thing I would caution you on - don't have the company name or logo on the squeeze page if you're doing any kind of direct advertising (online or off). From my experience I see a lot of people finding out the name of the company from the squeeze page and then they go to Google and do a search and look for the top earners.

Use a generic squeeze page and capture their info first - then they can be redirected to your system where they can learn about the company, product, etc.

A Message Of Hope & Encouragement!

Greetings friends and colleagues! This message comes to you with great hope and encouragement in these difficult times!

This last year has been a challenging one for my family. They mean the world to me and I will do whatever it takes to care for them.

A company I was dedicated to for seven years changing their compensation plan last August 2010, which dropped our leadership income significantly, falling and breaking my wrist and filing a law suit which still has not been settled in over ten months, no health insurance and piles of medical bills, another company that we had high hopes for shutting down, working to rebuild and not earning the income I believe I’m worth, another company that I was earning with for seven years threatening to terminate me because someone on Facebook said my likeness was on my ‘personal’ website for a competing company.

My husband commuting from Houston to Austin every weekend which has wore him out. Watching him die before my eyes and feeling helpless. So much stress was affecting our health. It’s been heart breaking not being able to send our younger son to college as planned. Becoming behind on expenses and almost losing our house. It all seemed hopeless. Every time I turned around it was something else, another arrow in the back.

I just kept praying and believing for God’s blessing and favor through all the refining fire and decided that I was never going to give up! After all I’ve been encouraging others for years not to give up. How could I just roll over and quit?

Last June 2010 I made a commitment to read my Bible from cover to cover and kept that promise, finishing it completely on February 2011. What a journey! So many stories of defeat, triumph and God’s promises being fulfilled! It gave me hope and a renewed FIRE!

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust (Believe) in him. Then, you will overflow with confident hope (belief) through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Then God really started to show us favor these last four months by moving us in an exciting new direction. We found a tenant for our lake house in four days which will allow us to keep that property and not have to sell in a down market, our son Luke was accepted into the US Air Force this August 2011.

It appeared that out of the blue, Marc Gitomer, a top income earner with a solid track record, called about four times back the end of April and we finally connected in May. I had never met Marc so didn’t realize who he was. He sought me out online and was impressed with my background and success in the industry. Actually Marc is not an Internet builder. He’s a belly to belly leader that picks up the phone and calls people, which is also what I do when I meet someone online. Their back ground had been in a very successful traditional business until Marc was struck by a drunk driver ten years ago. That accident devastated their lives and their highly successful event planning business in Philadelphia/New York.

I have since become extremely impressed with him and his wife Barb, their story of defeat and triumph and all they have accomplished to build a full time income and to be at the top of several companies in Network Marketing in the last seven years. Most of all I’m impressed with the respect I've received from them and the leadership integrity they have shown.

I did not set out looking for any of this to happen and have nothing but positive to say about the people I’ve worked with in the past. Marc and Barb happened to offer me a position at the top of their business with a new division started by their seven year debt free solid company and introduced me to the CEO and other top leadership who I've since connected with. It was shear timing and meant to be as they say. God’s timing to be exact. They introduced me to Kathleen Deoul and Korey Johnson, top industry leaders who I’ve also become highly impressed with. I’m meeting Marc, Barb, Korey and the CEO in Boca Raton Flordia Sept. 9-11 along with several experienced business leaders I’ve brought on board. We’ve all been invited to their red carpet opening and dinner with the CEO.

Everything started to fall into place and I had no idea at the time why this was all happening and most people have no idea and ask why are you doing this or I cannot believe you joined 'that' company? Funny how people sometimes make assumptions and judgments before they know the entire story behind the scenes of a person’s life.

Now we realize that it's been God's plan all along, and when He works He works fast. When things fall into place like this we better be prepared to obey when He says to move and do it now. I’ve learned not to ask questions or try figuring everything out myself. Just move when the cloud moves as the Israelis did in the Bible when following Moses to the Promise Land! I've been praying for many years for our family, my business, and it just seemed like nothing was happening except negative. I felt like a wounded bird with a clipped wing, literally with a broken wrist.

God has moved mountains for all this to happen because I received an offer several months ago to sell one business and that sale has finally gone through on August 16th 2011 a year after I lost the income with my other company. We transferred another business to our younger son James and his bank account to earn some extra income for college.

I developed a full time six figure income in this profession, starting as a stay at home mom in 1996 with no income of my own, no business experience, no corporate back ground, no degrees, not much credibility or contacts and very little confidence and have no doubt that I will do it all again because God promises to pay us back double for what we lost. I believe in His word and His promises.

“The Lord has commanded me to be blessed; therefore, I am blessed and cannot be cursed. I am the head and not the tail. I am above only and not beneath. I will lend and not borrow.” Deuteronomy 28: 3-14

There’s a lot more to this amazing story of defeat, triumph, and come back to rebuild the wall so to speak! Some of you may remember the story of Nehemiah rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem in the Bible. It’s an awesome and encouraging story of God fulfilling His promises!

“When you hear the blast of the trumpet, rush to wherever it is sounding. Then our God will fight for you!” Nehemiah 4:20

You sponsor or recruit people to do the same thing and the company also pays you a % of their sales.

They do the same thing and they get a % of the sales and you do also.

It's multi level marketing because you get % from many levels of sales.

Facebook Bubble Burst?

Has Facebook gotten too big?

Been coming across alot of things online about people leaving Facebook, from articles saying 6 million left FB in May (drop in the bucket I know) and other comments on message boards. One common theme that seems to be coming up about why people are getting tired of it is below.

I liked facebook in its early days, but it ruined it for me when my parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc started sending me friend requests. Now it seems like 1 out of every 10 people on my friends list is some sort of "independent consultant" for mary kay, arbonne, or some other company and they just use facebook to advertise their products, it's really annoying. I've actually un-friended family members because of this. One of my wife's cousins sells products for a company called Scentsy, nearly every time I'd post something she'd respond with "well we have so and so scented product that would be great for the occasion". I finally told her to F off and deleted her.

I like the ability to block all posts from certain "friends", it's cut down on the annoying clutter like farmville and crap like that, but like you I wish there was a way to block certain people from seeing my status updates. If they want to open my profile and look at my wall, then nothing's stopping them, but I doubt many people do that anyway.

Also, it's completely stupid how some people feel the need to "check in" every time they go somewhere.

I know that Google+ is in Beta right now and there is some good reviews coming from it. There is one thing in particular that I think Google+ will appeal to people over FB and that is the policies.

I actually have two facebook accounts. One is for personal (family, friends, college buddies, etc). The other is for my Lightyear business. Some of my family and friends are on both but because of the annoying ads it was important for me to separate the two.

I definitely look at the two accounts differently. I enjoy my personal account because it allows me to connect with old friends and keep updated on family (nephews, nieces, cousins, etc). But I also enjoy my business account. I get to share ideas, learn tips, keep updated with what's going on in the industry, network with other professionals, etc.

The problem I think happens when people mix the two and stuff happens like what is quoted above.

Facebook is for what? Communication with others? While I think having 2 accounts one for ads and one for personal is a good idea and do. I think fb is for whatever you want. It has gotten old and tired very quickly to me. "My dog is huge" "My kid is having a kid who ate a banana while chewing on a toy we got on a vacation we took last month while seeing grandma pass away and then we came home and it rained on us".

OK!! So if anyone can spew forth photo after photo and ask for prayer regarding their pet then I can hide their post, delete them as friend, or just say "WOW" in my head and move on. As much as people post total worthless drippings, I think it is ok to market something. It works the other way as well. Friends can hide, delete, etc.....

The myriad of worthless personal crap to the ultra important news flash of how this country is going into a debt load that may never be handled correctly, I think you are "ok" to post your business address, your website, your dogs maiden name...et al.

MY POINT.....facebook is a joke anymore and it did not take long to get there. It has the aspects for important networking (organizing a fundraiser for a health issue or non-profit event) but outside of keeping up with people you know 20 years ago.....this thing is a mind fornicator!

So, I was watching as Mr. x tours his new home, which has little to no furniture but it's got it's own Tennis Court. Made me think back to the days of Network Marketing Lifestyles and the way I'd think about what I could do with MLM. Now, we remember how a $1,000,000 monthly income was made with Excel, so this leads me to the questions.

and it's kinda a Kim Klaver type question...

IF Your such a Great Trainer and such, then why aren't you make a $1,000,000 per month check in Network Marketing? Ok, so $350,000 for a few hours is Good, BUT next month you're back to 0. Network Marketing is BETTER, Right? I mean, $650,000 per month network marketing check is better than trying to re-create the wheel ever quarter right??

What do you think. Did you buy the latest and greatest from Mr. X??

f I told you mr.x sold 1200 in 3 hours and the product cost $297, the math tells the story. Really, the core of this industry is LEADERSHIP. The top dogs, teaching at the REALLY big events. 10,000 people all taking notes about how Bubba simply tells people how his corn grows faster.

Ok, maybe not Bubba. Really though. If you've got the GURU skills to sell 1200 of your little teaching product in 3 hours, WHY are you not the TOP DOG in one of the top 20 mlm companies?
