			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The most common challenge that people I talk to face is how to incorporate fitness into their lives. They know they have to do something to get in shape but they really dont know how. It can be discouraging because of the abundance of information out there. So much that you may not know where to begin.</p>
<p>Our society has so many food choices that it is easy to pack on the extra pounds. Also our day to day jobs are less physical as they where 100 years ago so we have more sedentary life styles. We know there are benefits involved when we exercise and cleaning up or diet. However, most of us know dont know how or where to start.</p>
<p>So where do we begin? Or is the question: How do we begin?</p>
<p>The very first thing you need do is go to your doctor and get the approval to start exercising. Your doctor may also provide some helpful tips as well.</p>
<p>After you get the OK from your doctor, try these 5 things to help you get started:</p>
<p>Make the Choice to Start Exercising and Eating Right</p>
<p>Making the decision to do something provides a form of commitment you made to your self. Deciding that you need to change behavior creates new possibilities. When you say to your self I need to get in shape, it means something. You should be answering these questions in your mind: When can I work out? What exercises do I need to do? What foods should I be eating? Make your self think about the commitment you just made. Only then you can let go of the past and take steps to move forward.</p>
<p>Write Down What You Do</p>
<p>You need a reference that is realistic towards your weekly activity. Write down everything you do during the week. This should include work hours, commuting hours, nights spent with your spouse, your childs activities and anything else you can think of that you do. You should also include what you do on weekends. You should make a list for each day of the week. Heres why..</p>
<p>Some people set lofty goals like working out for 2 hours a day. This can be due to an old saying, More is Better. However, this is not the case. Knowing your schedule will help you set realistic goals and help you find a few hours a week to start exercising. Youll have a visual perspective on what you can and cant do with your routine.</p>
<p>Research and Get Information</p>
<p>Most people do not have enough information before they start a work out program. So how do we get the information we need? The good news is we live in the information age. Take advantage of your favorite search engine and learn a little bit about fitness and nutrition. However, do not go overboard and lose focus. Find a source of information you like and take notes. Find the simplest and easiest workouts and nutrition tips. Dont over load yourself with information.</p>
<p>If you have the money, hire a personal trainer for a few sessions to help you get started. Hiring a personal trainer is a great way to get started because you have made a commitment to meet someone to workout. Your goal is to have the trainer show you the basics on exercise and eating healthier. It may also be safer to learn how to perform the exercises (especially if you have not exercised for a while).<br />

Create a Simple Plan and Set Realistic Goals</p>
<p>Keep it Simple! Following a simple plan while on a hectic schedule is much easier than following an elaborate plan. You should have a plan of which days you want to work out and one goal to change your eating habits for the next few weeks. For example, I will work out for a half an hour for 3 days this week. I will eat a little less each meal. Simple is success.</p>
<p>Execute Your Plan</p>
<p>Now that you have a plan, all you need to do is follow it. This is another big step. You should look at your plan every day upon waking. You need be mentally prepared for the great day ahead of you. Having your daily schedule in hand will help you achieve your goals for the day. When you complete your workout for the day, highlight it or cross it off your list. It will show you that you accomplished something for yourself. No matter what you must execute. This will be the hardest (and most rewarding) step.</p>
<p>I hope these things help you get started on a new life of physical fitness. Life is filled with making decisions, knowing your commitments, getting information, planning and execution. Try these approaches for yourself and you will see that having your own workout and nutrition program is not as far fetched or complicated as you think.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Commonly known as pinkeye, Conjunctivitis is the inflammation of the outer most layer of the eye and the inner side of the eyelid. Conjunctivitis infections commonly come in one of three flavours: viral, bacterial, or allergic. There is, however, several other cases of less common conjunctivitis:<br />
- Chemicals<br />
- Thermal and ultraviolet burns<br />
- Foreign bodies<br />
- Overuse of contact lenses<br />
- Toxins<br />
- Vitamin deficiency<br />
- Dry eye, sometimes due to inadequate eyelid closure<br />
- Exposure to chickens infected with Newcastle disease</p>
<p>Lets take a quick look at the three most common types of conjunctivitis.</p>
<p>The first is viral conjunctivitis. This type is transmitted by contact with a variety of contagious viruses. These required viruses need not be any harsher than the common cold virus, as these cases are generally associated with upper respiratrory tract symptoms.<br />
<span id="more-197"></span><br />
Bacterial conjunctivitis is most commonly caused by the infected&#8217;s own skin or respiratory flora due to pyogenic bacteria. Another common way to spread infection, generally by females, is through sharing of facial lotions or eye makeup. And lastly, it is possible to share this kind of &#8220;pinkeye&#8221; through contact with other people and/or their environment.</p>
<p>The last form that we will be looking at is allergetic conjuctivitis. This type generally follows a seasonal pattern, and is more common among those with allergic conditions. Unlike the others, allergetic conjuctivitis tends to take over both eyes, and is accompanied by swollen eyelids. It is caused by reactions to such substances as perfume, drugs, cosmetics, contact lenses, or protein deposits.</p>

<p>Although for some the development of diabetes is inevitable, perhaps due to heriditery and other factors, for the vast majority it can be prevented by taking these 7 simple steps&#8230;</p>
<p>Before diabetes type 2 becomes fully developed you go through a stage known as pre-diabetes. This is where you start to show some of the symptoms, which if ignored, can lead to full blown diabetes.</p>
<p>Make these 7 action points part of your daily routine and you could stop this disease happening to you:</p>
<p>1) If you are overweight you risk developing diabetes. Reduce the amount of food on your plate so you gradually eat less and start to lose weight. Drink a glass of plain water or a sugar-free drink before your meal to take the edge of any hunger pains.<br />

2) Reduce the amount of fat you are eating; grill or bake foods instead of frying; use low-fat spreads and reduced fat meals.</p>
<p>3) Check the Glycemic Index of the food you are eating &#8211; knowing what each food contains helps maintain your blood-sugars, which in turn can prevent the full onset of diabetes.</p>
<p>4) Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. If you keep a bottle of water with you and sip frequently you&#8217;ll be surprised how much you do drink throughout the day.</p>
<p>5) If you are feeling peckish choose a healthy snack rather than a chocolate bar.</p>
<p>6) Use skimmed rather than full-fat milk in hot drinks.</p>
<p>7) Exercise is good for health. But if you are not use to exercise then start in moderation. 15 minutes gentle walking each day will ease you into a regular exercising pattern.</p>
<p>All of these action points are also the ones that diabetics are advised to take &#8211; if you take them now you might possibly prevent irreparable damage to your health.</p>

As with depression treatment programs that include medication, patients who receive EST also participate in a course of therapy to try and discover the root causes of the depressive illness.</p>

<p>I have studied and taken courses in acupressure. Studied some on chiropractic. I also have looked into psychological issues to do with pain and medical problems. And I am also a Reiki Master.</p>
<p>So now that you have a little about my background, and what fuels my writing&#8230; let&#8217;s get to the real content.</p>
<p>I am going to condense this article for convenience since it is a combination of four major studies in themselves, but you can get my e-book or read my full articles at my web site, which is healthgrowhealthier.com.</p>
<p>I have found that 4 major things play an important part in your spines health.</p>
<p>First, there is posture. I know this is not the first time you have heard this, but it needs to be said again and again.<br />
Posture should be noted in sitting, standing, and sleeping. Start taking note of your posture at all times. If it is not straight, then start working on fixing it.</p>
<p>If you sleep in a position like I have in the past, with both hands under your pillow while you lay on your side, you can pinch a nerve in your neck if your shoulder of the arm that&#8217;s up starts to relax and leans in toward your head or neck. It would be better to lay your arm of your upper hand down on your leg while one hand is under your pillow.<br />
And if you can, buy a few different thickness pillows for throughout the night. I do not know about you, but I can not have a high, fluffy pillow when I lay on my back. But a thin pillow gives me neck ache when I lay on my side.</p>
<p>The second thing on our list is the flexibility of your back.</p>
<p>What you want to do when you notice your back goes out a lot and you experience pinched nerves, is in getting your spine back into alignment and having it flexible.</p>
<p>Of course if you feel a chiropractor is your best choice, by all means seek one. But think about your progress if you could align your own back when ever you needed to. It&#8217;s not all that hard!</p>
<p>If you are in pain at the present, put ice or heat on the spot until the pain seems to lessen.</p>
<p>Do NOT, under any circumstances exercise while any of your nerves are inflamed or swollen!</p>
<p>To get your back more flexible you might want to learn kundalini yoga. Not all yoga styles are like those you may have seen on television, where they twist themselves up. Kundalini yoga has very good and useful spinal exercises developed to help flexibility. Kundalini Yoga is also a spiritual tool to help before meditation as well.</p>
<p>It is very important to strengthen your back and the surrounding muscles. This is the third step to a healthy back.<br />
Doing sit-ups is one such exercise, You do not have to do many sit-ups until you feel you can&#8230; step by step.<br />
Take all of these things slow and at the pace of your body. Your body will let you know what it is feeling. Pain is a warning sign.<br />
Just remember&#8230; taking pain pills is okay when you really need them. But also remember that they do not heal the problem, they only mask the warning sign, they simply stop the warning sign, but not the underlying problem.<br />
Health is more than just eating right. One has to consider mental health, environmental, and many other factors. It is not all that easy for a doctor to diagnose the complete problem and cure it, especially if it has roots in psychological issues and has gone a long time unchecked, and became a physical problem.<br />

The fourth and last step in back health is to start a daily stretching routine. You have<br />
seen cats and dogs stretch when they get up, try it for yourself!</p>
<p>The key to back health is in keeping it actively flexible and strong, or well supported by the stomach and back muscles. You may have to find that happy medium in between like I have, being too much strength in one area will pull out another.<br />
Each person is uniquely different in many areas. So never think what worked for someone else is going to work for you. You may have to build on someone else&#8217;s information and work it into your own, personal program.</p>
<p>I recommend you learn a little about acupressure as well to maintain your pain when it flares up.<br />
I have found that I can manage pain by using acupressure, simply by putting pressure on certain areas of the body. But that is something I suggest you seek a professional for help, or look for someone who does acupuncture, or take a course in acupressure like I did.</p>

<p>This is a truism as a healthy body is the prime requisite for success and happiness in life. People are increasingly being convinced that yoga makes for good health, contentment and happiness in present day stressful life and is not just an exercise regimen.</p>
<p>In this article we will discuss Anuloma-Viloma (alternate breathing) pranayama. Pranayama simply means proper management of the vital force &#8211; prana. Although the basic principle remains the same, many different types of pranayama have been devised, each with its own unique technique. Anuloma-Viloma or nadi shuddhi pranayama (nerve purifying pranayama) is one such kind and is considered one of the basic forms.</p>
<p>The practice of Anuloma Viloma is somewhat like the squad that regulates traffic on roads, looks after their cleanliness, beautification, etc and keeps the traffic moving smoothly and efficiently. The method involves breathing in (pooraka) through one nostril and vice versa. Therefore this pranayama has the name anuloma viloma, i.e. alternate breathing.</p>
<p>To practice this, you have to sit in any of the yogic sitting postures. To begin with, carry on normal breathing applying moola bandha (i.e. comfortable anal contraction). Keeping a stable moola bandha, breathe in and breathe out completely. Ensure that the moola bandha is not loosened during the process. Pause for a while between breathing in and breathing out. Breathe in deeply through the left nostril and breathe out through the right; then breathe in through the right and out through the left. Continue breathing this way, i.e. alternately from left and right nostrils, for one to three minutes.<br />

After reaching a comfort level in this way, you may move to the next stage. Close the right nostril with the right thumb keeping the other four fingers together. Now, slowly breathe in through the left nostril at a uniform speed. Repeat with the other nostril. While breathing in, raise the shoulders and expand the chest taking the ribs up. The lower abdominal region, however, must be held in.</p>
<p>Benefits: The respiratory passage is cleaned and this prepares one well for the practice of other pranayamas. Breathing becomes easy and regulated. The mind becomes and heartbeat rhythmic. Also aids in enhancing concentration, memory and other mental faculties.</p>
<p>Contraindications: Severe pain in abdomen, swelling on account of appendicitis, enlargement of liver, very delicate bowels or intestines, disorders of the lungs, severe throat infections, growth in the nose (polypus) or blockage of the nasal passage due to cold, etc.</p>

<p>The location of the patio umbrella is important. There are two categories of the location of the umbrella: through table and free standing. Free standing umbrellas are used in large outdoor areas. It could shade different kinds of patio furniture of any size and shape depending on your preference. A through-table umbrella is basically placed in the center of the patio table and is commonly used as focal point of the outdoor area.</p>
<p>2. Umbrella Stands</p>
<p>This is the support of your patio umbrella. The stand or base would depend on how you intend to use it. In choosing the standard base of outdoor umbrellas, you should consider a heavy-duty support that could survive any weather.
