A Life Saver!

I discovered this product many years ago when I was a competitive swimmer and surfer. I needed a source for rocket fuel and this was it!

Then years later in the middle of a difficult pregnancy I needed a source of excellent nutrition for me and baby to be! ALL One to the rescue again!

NOW at the ripe old age of 50 I have been diagnosed with advanced stages of Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis and finding very little in the way of real foods to nourish my sick body. Once again I have stumbled back upon Nutritech's ALL One.

With the help of my ALL One powder and an organic SCD Diet I have beaten my diseases into submission and remission. If I could I would give this product 100 stars not just 5.

Excellent immune booster

I have been taking All One Vitamin Powder Original Formula for over 3 years. I am very happy to announce that my immune system has improved significantly, and I have plenty of energy throughout the day. I was able to avoid catching common cold or even a flu during the flu season without taking a flu shot in spite of the fact my colleagues at work have been coughing around me :o)
I used to have anemia, which is a hemoglobin & red blood cell count deficiency. After taking this vitamin drink for a few months my hemoglobin level & RBC count have returned back to normal.
The vitamin powder contains over 50 essential vitamins & minerals. It dissolves quickly in a glass of water/juice. It is also highly absorbable compared to a tablet or a pill.

Truly amazing - speed,conv. and accuracy

Bought this couple of weeks back consequent to my son developing high fever and which fluctuated considerably. This caused the Red Cross $9.00 digital thermometer useless as it takes approx. a minute (under armpits) to record temparature. Our doctor advised us to buy Braun based ear thermometer.
First off - there are quite a models available. After taking to doctor and doing research - the 2 new models are IRT 4520 and IRT 4020. These are EXACT copies (all functionality) like their PRO 4000 versions! The ExacTemp feature has a pre-heated tip which is more comfortable for the ear. The older models (PRO 3000) is about $80, but uses lithium batteries and I don't think has pre-heated tip.
Has a "sort of" battery meter. Starts to show - that battery's low, flashing means - will effect results. (Very good)
Usage: Switch on, place tip (with tip cover, without cover, doesn't work), push START and WITHIN TWO SECONDS you get the temperature. Slightly hold the ear in order to place the tip INTO THE EAR HOLE to get best INTERNAL EAR CANAL reading. The readings are stored for access later - total 8 memory readings. Auto shut-off: 60 sec.
The storage is into a white canister type case, which has HORIZONTAL standing (not good - as VERTICAL standing would have been better or if provided ALSO - good).
The given 21 nos. of lens caps are very little. Thankfully, the whole package of lens caps goes INSIDE the thermometer case, storing them together. I have put a Clorex cloth inside the case and into which I push the thermometer, this disinfects my cap and keeps the thermometer disinfected. (Just remember to change the cloth occasionally)
Size-wise it's a bit thick and thus slightly problematic to carry along but due to it's accuracy/etc. worth the hassle.
The ejector is very useful. Just press it and the lens cap is THROWN forward. Be careful, it's literally EJECTED out. (Point towards garbage can - I hit my wife's nose...;)
Note: If you get covers for the PRO 4xxx series - you can use it with IRT 4520. That's very good. The batteries are regular AA series and last a bit. The IRT 4020 has 1 extra feature - has a protective plastic cap covering the disposable lens caps. That's actually very useful. So, if you get 4520 and 4020 at approx. the same price, I would opt for 4020.
There are some calibrations possible, but advice you NOT to do so. If you keep pressing the I/O button even after OFF, then you can switch between Celcius/Farenheit settings. You can set the optimal temperature of the tip, define ambient room temp, etc - Keep i/o button pressed, after OFF starts to FLASH, there will be loud beep - immediately release the I/O button. Then keep pressing (short presses) of the I/O to switch.
Note: ALTHOUGH NOT STATED, IT'S ADVISABLE to have the thermometer calibrated professionally *KAZ, in US* annually.

Any diff. between ExacTemp and non-Exac?
Yes - the pre-heated tip.
Any diff. btw the Professional (+$200) and this?
NONE in functionality, the PRO's just more heavy duty, with anti-theft features, base-station, etc. (all sold as accessories)
Any diff. btw this and the "Compact" one?
Yes - this has ExacTemp, has Memory functions, overall - quicker.
Does the PRO series lens cover fit?
Yes
Difference with IRT 4520 and IRT 4020?
IRT 4020 has a protective cover ON top of lens cover. IRT 4020 - difficult to buy. Pro 4xxx series REPLICATES IRT 4520, not IRT 4020.
How accurate?
Very accurate. I compared with mercury-based prof. thermometers.
Usage tips?
Use the SAME ear (you'll notice each ear records diff. temp)
Hold the ear slightly up, push gently the tip INSIDE and press "Start"
Can I use it "orally", rectum, arm-pits?
I don't think so, it's gonna be difficult, the tip's designed for ears. Although stated possible - can't imagine how.

Any features I would have liked?
Yes, the following:
(a) Memory feature has the date/time included
(b) The memory feature has the LEFT ear and RIGHT ear set. (i.e. 2*8 memory locations, at least)
(c) Ability to switch off the BEEP
(d) A 2nd. display where the "Start" button is to see the temp. immediately (priority - low)
(e) More thin - the overall product
(f) Lens covers are very costly
(g) The case should be able to STAND, not lying down only

Quick readings, great value.

I am sure I am not the first parent who has had to try and keep a struggling child steady while waiting 2+ minutes for the thermometer to register a reading. In this regard, the Braun ThermoScan is ideal. It takes an accurate ear reading in just a few seconds! The probe also does not feel cold to the touch, so my child actually seems to like having her temperature taken. The only drawback so far is that the LCD panel is not back-lit. It is impossible to see the reading in the semi-darkness, and one has to go to a light source to check the measurement. Otherwise, a great product.

easy to use, however, screen does not light up so when you take temperature in the middle of the night (which if you have kids is all the time), you still need to turn on a light to read - a major shortcoming in my opinion

good solution for potty training
I like our Baby Bjorn potty chair, but let's face it - emptying a potty chair is a chore. I wanted to find an alternative that would enable our son to be more independent in using the big boy potty. I'm sure my husband thought I was nuts when I purchased this, but it's a great way for our son to be able to climb up onto the potty himself. The handles are easy for him to grip - though he's still learning how to climb the ladder then turn around to sit. The 'splash guard' in the front keeps the pee in the potty. The only thing that kept me from giving this a 5 star is that when us big people want to use the potty we have to set this aside. So we have this in one bathroom, and still have the Baby Bjorn potty chair to use elsewhere in the house. I'm glad I bought this.
Great Potty Reducer
I purchased this for my daughter (3yrs), because I got tired of the potty chair (Messy). This is great.
She likes climbing up on it, it's well made and sturdy and super easy to remove when an adult wants to use the facilities as well.

My son is 2, he's started using the reducer also. I never used a traditional potty chair with him--I started with the potty reducer right away. I have to be careful which way he's "pointing" -- the guard isn't mistake proof--but it works when you pay attention to what's going on. At first I thought this potty reducer was a little expensive, but I wish this had been my first choice. I wasted money and time using a traditional potty chair.

Great customer service from Juvenile Solutions. I sent them an Email letting them know that my box was missing a screw--they actually mailed me one. Now how many businesses do that? Not many...not once they have your money.
Worth the money!
My little boy is two and a half and decided he was ready for potty training. I had ordered this ahead of time so I got it out after he used the little training potty a couple times. He has always been scared to death of the big potty but didn't think twice about getting on when he saw this setup! He immediately started using it every time and did not want to use the little potty. I have had no problem with pee escaping outside the seat, it's been a very clean setup for us. It took him a few days to get used to getting up on the stair and turning around to sit down but a week later he can do it all by himself. In case anyone is needing the info, as I was when shopping, we have elongated toilet bowls and this fits just fine for us. Also, it really does slip right off the toilet and fold up to the side very easily. Much better than the kind that attach to the seat.

AIDS AND DRUG ABUSE
The two groups at greatest risk for AIDS are homosexual or bisexual men and people who shoot drugs. People who use needles to inject drugs (including mainliners and skin poppers) get the virus by sharing their works with other users who already have the AIDS virus in their blood. You can't always tell who is infected with the AIDS virus. Most people actually carrying the virus don't look any different than anybody else, they look and feel well, but they can still spread the disease. Symptoms of AIDS may not show up for many years and some remain without symptoms even then. Thousands of IV drug abusers already have AIDS, and many thousands more are carriers of the virus. Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a serious condition that affects the body's ability to fight off infection. A diagnosis of AIDS is made when a person develops some form of life-threatening illness not usually found in a person with a normal ability to fight infection. To date more that fifty percent of all the persons with AIDS have died. Shooting drugs has now been determined to be one of the biggest problems facing America today. While the homosexual community has put on a media campaign alerting and educating the public about the dangers of AIDS, nothing is being done to stop the widespread sharing of needles among drug users. Remember, if you shoot drugs, you are in danger of catching AIDS. The best advice for protecting yourself and people you love is to stop shooting drugs. It is also important to note that women who shoot drugs or who live with men who shoot drugs sometimes gives AIDS to their babies, either before or shortly after birth. Babies born with AIDS become ill very quickly. Most individuals infected with the AIDS virus have no symptoms and feel well for a long time before eventually developing such symptoms as fever and night sweats, weight loss, swollen lymph glands in the neck, the underarms and groin area, sever fatigue or tiredness, diarrhea, white spots or unusual blemishes in the mouth. These symptoms are also symptoms of a number of other illnesses and that should be taken into consideration. Anyone with any of these symptoms for more than two weeks should not panic buy should consult their doctor. The AIDS virus is not spread through normal daily contact at work, school or home. There have been no cases found where the virus has been transmitted by casual contact with AIDS patients in the home, workplace, or health care setting. There is an antibody test that detects antibodies to the AIDS virus that causes the disease. The body produces antibodies that try to get rid of bacteria, viruses, or anything else that is not supposed to be in the bloodstream. The test may show if someone has been infected with the AIDS virus. While the testing procedure is considered accurate, it does not tell who will develop full-blown AIDS.

I've been lactose intolerant for a dozen years and started using Digestive Advantage two months ago. Following the instructions, I took two pills the first two days and one pill daily thereafter. The first week it cleaned me out such that I was "dropping the kids off at the pool" a few times a day. In a week my movements returned to normal and the testing began.

Test one, 1 week in: Chocolate ice cream - that delicious treat the used to leave me releasing military grade stink bombs. Result: Complete success. No bloating, no diarrhea, no stink bombs.

Test two, 1 month in: Annie's white cheddar mac and cheese prepared with real milk. The dish that made me realize I was lactose intolerant. Result: Fair success. A little bloating, but no diarrhea or effluvium.

Test three, 2 months in: Indian buffet - a WMD for the lactose intolerant. Chicken in cream sauce, spinach paneer, rice pudding. Result: Complete success. I enjoyed a peaceful night air all evening long.

Test four, 2.1 months in: Creme Brulee. Result: Failure. GanedenBC30 meets its match ... and I suffer through a night of a malodorous funk that would make a dung beetle ask for a courtesy flush.

The small green pill you need to take each day contains lactase enzyme and GanedenBC30. The lactase is probably in there just for show since anyone who has taken lactase knows you need to take it with the offending food. You take the Digestive Advantage pill just once a day at an unspecified time. The action is from the GanedenBC30, which is the brand name for Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, a bacteria that breaks down lactose and complex sugars. On August 19, 2010, I went to the doctor. My complaint: constant low-grade abdominal discomfort, six to eight months of continuous steatorrhea, diarrhea about once a week, pronounced weakness and getting worse, fatigue, low dips in blood sugar, seventeen pounds of weight loss, insomnia. The doctor gave me a physical exam and requested several batteries of blood tests. They found nothing.

On the day I went to the doctor, I stopped taking Digestive Advantage (DA) since it was the only variable I had to eliminate. I had been using it for at least two years, and initially, I was as impressed as all the reviews are here. However, within twenty-four hours of stopping it, I noticed an improvement in my steatorrhea. I remained off of DA and continually improved. Now, on September 7, 2010, I am gaining weight, my strength is back, I have no abdominal discomfort, and everything is improving. I feel like a new man. I have normal poops again!

For me, long-term use of DA became a health liability. If you are using DA or planning on trying it, please keep my symptoms in the back of your mind. Maybe DA will only affect me in this manner, but I feel obligated to warn others.

I will no longer use it.

UPDATE: OCTOBER 4, 2010: It has been 46 days since I quit taking DA. There has been no return of symptoms, and my health is great. Consequently, there is absolutely, positively no doubt that long-term use of DA interfered with my ability to properly digest food. Also, it is only now that I recognize just how sick I was. The digestion problems came on so gradually that it took me months to notice the full extent of the sickness and several more months to finally suspect DA.

I will be writing a letter to the manufacturer and to the FDA. In my experience, long-term use of DA will inhibit your digestion and make you very sick.

UPDATE: OCTOBER 8, 2010: So I just learned that there actually is a condition called Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). It is a condition in which too much bacteria forms in the small intestine, and it interferes with digestion. The symptoms? Everything I listed in the beginning of this review.

DA is a bacteria (bacillus coagulans). You take it everyday. I'm no doctor, but it is no stretch of the imagination that DA caused me SIBO. You can read about SIBO here: [...]

By the way, I emailed the company on October 4. They have not responded. As for the FDA, I forgot: they do not regulate dietary supplements. It is a buyer-beware market.

Stress combined with fatigue is always a problem for many people. This can be due to overwork including the things to do in the house. In the U.S., it is one of the most common complaints that doctors receive. That is why individuals are always searching for ways on fatigue stress relief.

Keep in mind that fatigue can have underlying diseases. These diseases can be:

• Cancer

• Hypothyroidism

• Anemia

• Cardiovascular disease

• Diabetes

Well, these diseases can cause a lot of stress. Luckily, there are body fatigue remedies that can be implemented. These remedies are natural ways and treatments that are advisable from a doctor. Without further ado, here it is my friend.

Vitamins and Minerals

Vitamin and mineral supplements can be a fatigue stress relief. Because our body sometimes lack these parts of our nutrition, it is advisable to consume these vitamin and mineral supplements.

Most mental health problems are caused by a toxic mind! Isuffered my fair share, including : Depersonalisation, depression, phobias, paranoia, OCD etc., I could not get any help from medical professionals so I decided to find my own cure!Once the toxins are removed from your brain all your problems disappear! Frightening interaction with Prozac and Benadryl

I was recently prescribed Prozac, 20 mg, and had a very scary episode while trying to fall to sleep.Occasionally, I take a Sominex (which contains diphenhydramine HCl, also known as Benadryl) to help me get drowsy at bedtime.Well, I did take one last evening, having taken a prozac earlier that day. When I would reach the point of falling asleep, I would be jarred awake with start and here's the scary part. At the same time, I would scream, at the absolute top of my lungs, a blood-curdling primal scream that must have freaked out my neighbors below.This happened an estimated 30-50 times, each time screaming so hard that my voice was a bit hoarse in the morning. I don't think I was ever able to fall asleep at all, because each time I reached that point of crossing over into sleep, I would be awakened by the sound of my own screams.I have had this occaisionally before, but never all night long. I did report this to my doctor, and he immediately told me to discontinue the Prozac until I can get in there for another SSRI.Anyone ever have sleep disturbances with Prozac or the other SSRI's? If anyone heard me, they would have thought they were living next to a lunatic.

Excessive sweating and Anti-Depression Meds

I suffer from depression and anxiety and am currently taking Wellbutrin and Buspar and sometimes Klonopin for palpitations. These are my preferred medications as they are the only ones that work for me. Only problem is I sweat like crazy, (especially in the summer). I feel soaked from my head to neck and my back. I know it is a side effect of the wellbutrin. I've tried Cogentin and Topomax but they make me feel drowzy. Does anybody out there have any ideas on how to control this?

Use this technique even during the work, and whenever you are involved in a difficult situation. Many times I've thought of leaving it all behind (including my marriage, sometimes) & going away-far, far away. Then I think of just getting rid of all my material things (they're crowding my mind, time and space) & dropping whatever I can, while looking for a way to start over. Has anyone ever done any of these? Just start over? How does one "start over"? Can it be done?

Magnesium for depression and anxiety

I recently started taking magnesium to help me fall asleep. What I didn't expect was that it would dissolve my depression and anxiety symptoms. It's seriously changed my life. I think rationally now while still being able to feel things strongly when I want to. Magnesium is inside every cell and therefore improves functionality of all your neurotransmitters. Advice for going off Welbutrin XL

Hello. First-time poster here. Have been on Welbutrin XL for years (post-partum depression after my son was born in 2000). When I mention going off meds to my GP (was under his care when we finally settled on Welbutrin), he asks how I'm feeling and, since I say 'more or less fine', he thinks I should stay on Welbutrin and that it is actually doing my brain some good. I, on the other hand, wonder how I would fare Rx-free after all these years. Any advice? Anyone? Thanks.

Entangled in DarknessI've just published a novel inspired by real life struggles with mental illness, especially depression and bipolar disorder. At its heart, it is really about the struggle of a person, of a family, of friends and loved ones, in the face of mental illness, bipolar disorder, depression, suicide, self-injury, hospitalization, etc. I hope people can read it and find some sort of empathy or understanding for those struggling with mental illness. Long term depression

First of all, I was writing on the Cats and Dogs discussion boards, but I am assuming this is about depression in human beings. I am an expert here. I have had serious, sometimes suicidal depression for a full 30 years. Only in the past week or so have I felt even a little bit better - more optimism, notice things more, feel sharper in my brain cognitions every day. Of course, this brings on more problems, but I'm trying to cope as best as I can. I've truly forgotten what I was like before this depression hit - I know I was raising 2 kids as a single parent, working full time, going to college at night to get my degree, and taking care of maintenance and yard work, etc. on my house I owned by myself. I look back now that I am considerably older and less healthy and wonder greatly how I could have done all that without going totally insane.So there is hope for those who feel hopeless, who feel like it will never end. I'm not sure this will last, but so far I'm enjoying it, except for this seeming necessity for my brain to break every subject down to its nano-pieces - but then my brain was like that before. I had to retire 8 years ago because the depression was so bad and because I have MS which cannot be cured, and I had a reakdown. I still don't think I could work if I wanted to because my brain cannot handle the sudden input of too much sensory data, so I know the pace of a busy office is more than I could cope with.I've been seeing doctors and therapists since well before 1994 and been on dozens of medications, which I don't mind telling about (some people just will not help themselves when it comes to this disease, they think it's a personal weakness and it's NOT).I have studied this subject on my own and read so much about other cases that I could write a book on the subject, and I may yet do it because I like to write.

Children with Depression/Hearing Voices

My son has Depression and is in Treatment- his Therapist now suggests Medication- also because my son says he hears voices! I know , he is very stressed because of School and very depressed because of Anxieties ...but I am not so sure about the Voices ( he tells me, that he is only saying that to get attention, he thrives for attention all the time , tld my husband and his sister the same and then tells other People like teachers and Therapist , that he hears voices!!??) and Medication. He is 14 years old. Kind, not violent, but lonely and very quiet. Who is going through the same and would want to exchange or give me advice?

Improved understanding of both depression and anxiety

Greetings. What follows is a very valuable and improved understanding/description of both anxiety and depression, including how they are related. Comments and questions are welcome.In both depression and anxiety, the emotional disintegration and contraction of being and experience involves increased feeling at the emotional center of the self. In anxiety, this is consistent with excessive concern, the reduction in the desirability of experience, emotional imbalance (or variability), bodily aches and pains (i.e., emotional disintegration), the mind "going blank", panic attacks (involving a sort of generalized paralysis and loss of experience), etc. Comparatively (and similarly), in depression, there is a contraction, detachment, disintegration, and loss of being and experience that also involves a loss of emotion. The desirability and extensiveness of experience (including memory) in both depression and anxiety is reduced; as there occurs a significant loss involving the comprehensiveness and consistency of both concern and intention. (Desire consists of both intention and concern.) The loss of desire in both depression and anxiety involves a significant reduction in the comprehensiveness and consistency of both intention and concern as they relate to experience in general; and this has the dream-like effect of reducing thought, emotion, and memory, including the desirability and totality of experience as well. Depression is known to involve apathy and a loss of concern. However, the narrowing (or excessive concentration) of concern in anxiety also constitutes an effective, actual, and overall loss of concern (in relation to experience in general). Concern is excessively concentrated and disintegrated in both depression and anxiety. With anxiety, however, concern may be concentrated (or compressed) at an even higher level of feeling, thereby resulting in the feeling of excessive concern, panic, the mind "going blank", etc. Ideally, concern is balanced and improved in conjunction with an increase in the comprehensiveness and consistency of intentionality in regard to experience. Elevated and sustained desire and energy are connected with both courage and genius, and with the advancement of consciousness and life as well. In opposition to this, the disintegration and contraction (and this includes detachment) of being and experience go hand in hand. In depression and anxiety, being and experience become excessively (and increasingly) dream-like, inanimate, and unconscious. In considering the excessively dream-like (and unconscious) nature of depression and anxiety, consideration should also be given to the fact that the emotional experience of the dream even includes the experience of touch. Emotion is differentiated (and manifest) as sensory experience and feeling. There's no book which can help me how to be more positive...Why? Because it's really impossible to feel good when you don't have a job and you spent a great deal of money for your education. When you live in a country where nobody wants to hire you because you are over 35 - it's really depressing. There are no doctors that can help in such situations. Bills have to be paid, food have to be bought...
