I'm happy to say that I'm back to blogging again. I gave it up for awhile for a couple of reasons. One of them was because I was so busy. The other was because I am so accustomed to writing for commercial ventures, I automatically thought about keywords and SEO as I blogged and got distracted from the pleasure of writing for writing's sake.

I had a terrible flu for a few weeks. It was overdue. I had been driving myself too hard for two years, trying to build up a portfolio and client list. Sometime in January, I began to realize that I didn't have to push myself so hard, but continued to do so, It may sound weird, bu I believe my illness was my body's way of telling me to slow down and cruise. It had that effect, anyway.

The first thing I did was notify a couple of clients that I wouldn't be able to make my deadline, but would continue to provide them with urgent content. In both cases, they were happy to wait, The second thing I did was notify a couple of long-term clients that while I appreciated their business, I could no longer work for the introductory rates I charged a couple of years ago. They both agreed that was a good idea.

I did something unprecedented last weekend. I spent Saturday sprucing up my blogs and took the whole day off on Sunday. It is now Wednesday and I have felt so refreshed this week, I not only have been able to easily keep up with work, I've been able to write a few blogs and Hubs as well.
