There really are altogether too many products on the market that just can live up to consumers’ expectations of them. Usually that is because of all hyped Madison Avenue type advertising that surrounds those products. With Alpine White what you see is what you get. There is no fancy advertising, only the product web page. This keeps costs down for you and enables the manufacturer to provide a product that really works at a cost that is reasonable.

Click Here To Try Alpine White Right Now!

Alpine White is formulated with professional grade carbamide peroxide. This is the exact same bleaching agent that is used everywhere by dentists in professional dental whitening procedures. You can expect to get the exact same results at home that you would get from your dentist’s office at a whole lot less the cost.

The American Dental Association has openly stated that based on their clinical analyses at-home dental bleaching agents are just as safe as they are effective and they do provide results similar, if not the same as, the results you would get it to dentist’s office by paying significantly more money. If an esteemed organization like the American Dental Association can vouch for the authenticity of an ingredient you can be pretty certain that are really works.

Click Here To Try Alpine White Right Now!

But if you are like the rest of us you probably want to see for yourself if, indeed, Alpine White will really work for you to bring your teeth several shades whiter. The manufacturer makes it easy for you by giving you the option to take advantage of an introductory trial offer were all you need to pay upfront is the cost of shipping. If Alpine White didn’t work this would be a foolish offer to make.

Having dark stains, streaked or notched and discolored teeth can be an burden to some and these aesthetic imperfections may need to be helped by a dentist with teeth bonding procedures such as porcelain bonding, veneers or full crowns to provide a more beautiful look. Even though its not as simple as common whitening, the bonding may assist in achieving a more wholesome facial image.

Understanding dental bonding

Basically, dental bonding is actually a chemical process where a material is bound onto the tooth surface. It is commonly used as the layman term for veneers. Veneers are shell-like facings, usually composed of composite resins or porcelain that is connected to the expanse of your teeth.

When will you require dental bonding?

Reasons

1. Intrinsic staining or tooth expanse mis-formation that comes from:

· Getting older

· Trauma

· Medications (tetracycline)

· Fluorosis

· Genetic tooth malformations

· Erosion and chip

2. Extrinsic permanent staining not amendable by bleaching techniques

3. Discolored non-vital teeth that otherwise may require post crowns can also be veneered

4. To fix peg-shaped lateral teeth

5. To close proximal spacing and diastemas

6. To repair (some) fractured teeth edges

7. Particularly useful in children where more complete tooth preparation may have an increased risk exposure of the tooth pulp

When would you be unfit for dental bonding?

Contraindications for dental bonding

· Poorly motivated persons with a high tooth decay rate and significant amount of gum attachment destruction

· Gum recession, exposure of the root of teeth, high lip line

· Teeth that is located too near the lips of the person, severely twisted or overlapped teeth

· When lower front teeth meet in close approximation to the inner expanse of opposite higher front teeth

· Teeth are severely discolored

· Large existing restorations

What are the types of cosmetic dental bonding?

· Direct Bonding – With direct bonding, the veneers use bound composites. Direct veneers may not involve the removal of significant tooth structure. If tooth structure is not abolished, such veneers are considered to be a reversible procedure.

· Indirect bonding (Traditional veneers) – Indirect veneers use a ceramic ingredient, such as porcelain. The primary expanse of the tooth is prepared to provide space for the veneering material. Therefore, indirect veneers are not a reversible solution.

Composite veneers

Composite veneers can be made directly or more commonly indirectly. Indirect composite resin veneers are created in a dental laboratory from an impression of your teeth. A meager amount of enamel structure must be abolished for this indirect composite restoration.

A direct technique for composite bonding does not resort to as much extraction of enamel structure. Teeth acquiesced for composite bonding are confined, finished with pumice and acid-etched. A dental bonding agent and an optional murky can be added before the composite resin is fashioned onto the enamel expanse. This procedure can adjust the guise and symmetry of the teeth.

This procedure is immediate and requires only one visit. It is quite dirt-cheap and is great for adolescent teeth with large pulps. However it can look bulky and has the capability to condense, chip and stain over time.

Traditional Porcelain veneers

A porcelain veneer is great for older teeth. Assembling of a porcelain veneer uses an indirect technique and require development of the tooth by abolishing a thin layer of teeth structure, making a mold and delivering the a mold to the laboratory for casting of the porcelain veneer. A temporary veneer is made and worn until the next visit. On the second visit, the temporary veneer is abolished and the permanent veneer is placed and bound to the teeth expanse with composite.

Porcelain veneer can be bulky and if they are not done properly, can stain the margins and can chip. They are costly but have good beautiful properties and are more sturdy than composite veneers.

Lumineers

LUMINEERS are very thin (approximately 0.2 mm) and highly translucent dental bonding veneers made out of porcelain, letting them to seem like the natural look of enamel. Although traditional veneers are much thicker, needing the grinding down of the original tooth structure, little to no tooth elimination is necessary for the bonding of LUMINEERS because of its thin state. The LUMINEERS are bound to natural teeth in a similar way like composite veneers therefore doesn’t need anesthesia which is different from traditional porcelain veneers.

Pricing of Bonding

Dental bonding procedure prices vary according to the kind of veneers used.

· Porcelain veneers are more costly than their composite resin cousins. Traditional porcelain veneers are about 0.5 millimeters in thickness, and can possibly cost anywhere from $500 to $2,500 per dental bonding. In terms of time, porcelain veneers can last 10 to 15 years.

· Composite veneers are typically priced at approximately $250 to $1500 per tooth and are expected to last 5 to 7 years.

· The Lumineers brand may cost around $700-$1,300 per bound tooth. Lumineers claims to last for over 20 years.

There may be a fee for the primary consultation ($65-$102) and X-rays ($13-$135). Dental bonding are very rarely paid for by dental insurance.

Many parents ask their dentists what is “good” or “bad” for their children’s teeth. Usually they would like a list of what is okay and what is not okay for children to eat, in addition to following good oral hygiene rules. However, you should understand that it is not only the type of food which can effect teeth, but how frequently it is eaten that impacts the health of children’s teeth.

More importantly, you should understand that it is not only children whose teeth are at risk from certain types of food.

The Question of Sugar

For decades dentists, doctors, and nutritionists have been telling us not to eat sugar, or at a minimum to limit our sugar intake. Dental patients have been trying to qualify and quantify this rule ever since it was created, perhaps failing to understand the implications of how sugar effects the teeth.

Sugar and sugary foods lower the pH balance in your mouth and saliva. Because your tooth enamel is made of 95% minerals, this can and does cause the breakdown of the minerals below a certain pH. The pH balance in your mouth can be lowered by virtually any type of sugar, including:

Sucrose (brown sugar or granulated sugar)
Lactose (milk)
Fructose (honey, corn syrup, such as found in soda pop)
Glucose (such as in fruits, fruit juices, and honey)
Maltose (yeast, potato chips, crisps)

Quantity vs. Frequency

New information is leading dental professionals to believe that the frequency of sugar intake has greater impact on teeth than the amount of sugar consumed. However, this too is a misleading statement. More correctly: The amount of time that sugars are allowed to languish in your mouth determines the risk of tooth damage and decay.

This may lead you to believe that any amount of sugar consumption is acceptable if you are vigilant to brush your teeth immediately after eating. However, you should be careful not to damage your teeth by brushing with excessive vigor or frequency. Two or three times a day should be sufficient, particularly if you are careful not to allow sugars to remain in your mouth, or to eat or drink them very frequently during the day.

You Are What You Drink

One of the biggest dangers to healthy teeth is not only the consumption of soda pop, but the lack of water intake. In many countries, fluoride is added to the water supply in small doses to help prevent tooth decay and encourage healthy tooth enamel. In addition, water helps promote healthy teeth and gums by flushing debris and bacteria away and by providing your body with necessary nutrients. Simply replacing soda pop with water will go a long way toward protecting your teeth from damage and decay.

HEALTHY BABY TEETH

Did You Know…?

It is a little recognised fact that a child’s dental care actually begins in the womb. This is why it is important that mothers take top quality care of themselves during pregnancy. Pregnant women should make sure they eat a well balanced diet full of nutritious foods that contain all the vitamins and minerals that their bodies may need during their pregnancy. It is also very important that pregnant women to have a complete dental exam and have any cavities or gum disease treated as soon as possible. Currently, pregnant women are still entitled to free dental care in Britain on the NHS. If you are lucky enough to have a good dental insurance plan then it is likely that you have already been advised that a visit to the dental surgery during your pregnancy would be a good idea.

The Childs Developing Teeth

Your child’s first teeth usually begin to break through the gums from the age of about 6 months old. Every child is different and this age will vary – don’t worry if your child gets his or her first teeth before or after this. Every child has 20 primary teeth making their appearance between the age of 6 months and 3 years old. These first teeth are not around for long; usually children start losing his or her milk teeth between the ages of 6 and 11 years old. Your child’s molars should come through at around six years old. The last permanent teeth come out anywhere between the age of 12 and 21 years old.

By the time your child is around 8 months of age your dentist should be able to tell if the child will have any dental problems with their new developing set of teeth. While only a short term view it’s good to be made aware of any initial concerns should there be any in your child’s near future. They are not physicians but thanks to their knowledge and expertise in the dental surgery field they are often able to make helpful suggestions. The best reason for taking your child with you when you go to the dentist is familiarisation. You have a better chance of avoiding fear of dentists in your child if you take them with you to your own appointments.

When Should Your Child’s Dental Care Begin?

As a parent you should make a dentist’s appointment for your child every six months. By the time your child is one you should be starting proactive dental care. There is still a lot that a new mother can do from the very first time your child’s first tooth appears. Naturally you cannot use a tooth brush on a baby’s very first teeth, nor can you use adult toothpaste either. The bristles of a toothbrush are far too hard for a small baby’s gums, and the fluoride found in adult toothpastes is not good for them. There are many pros and cons relating to fluoride and although the argument on whether or not fluoride should be present in toothpaste will rage on for many years to come, it’s a good idea to avoid any toothpaste containing fluoride while your child is so young. Toothpaste is essentially just the lubricant at this stage, and the best thing is to use a soft cloth to simply wipe your baby’s teeth and gums. This will be enough to remove the sugars from breast milk, formula or other drinks containing sugars. Tooth decay can start at a young age due to the sugars found in foods. Simply wipe their teeth and gums after each feed and this will go a long way. It’s easier for parents to introduce low-fluoride toothpaste once the child has reached about two years old. For new parents it is important to seek your dentist’s advice on choosing your child’s first toothbrush and first toothpaste too.

A paediatric dentist should see babies with dental problems caused by injury, disease, or a developmental problem as soon as a parent is made aware of a problem. If there are dental problems which are caused by underlying issues such as poor circulation your paediatrician will make you aware of any additional treatments for you to look into.

Helpful Tips

1. Try Not to Share a Spoon. – It is common for parents and caregivers to often share spoons, forks, and other utensils with their babies. The saliva you may leave on the utensil contains bacteria that can cause tooth decay. You can help prevent early childhood tooth decay by making sure that your family practices good dental health habits. If you do use your baby’s spoon or test the milk from the teat of their bottle, make sure that you wipe it before giving it to them. If you keep your own teeth and gums healthy, you have less chance of transmitting any tooth decay bacteria to your kids.

2. Say No to Bottles at Bedtime.- However attractive the option sometimes, do not be tempted to put your baby to bed with a bottle – whether it be milk, juice, or any other drink containing sugars – as the acids within may cause early tooth decay. This may often be easier said than done!

3. A Healthy Diet Will Help Your Teeth. – Give your child nutritious foods to maintain healthy gums, develop strong teeth, and avoid tooth decay. These include fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Try to avoid too many foods that are high in sugar and processed carbohydrates, such as pastries, white pasta, and white bread. Even the fruits that are so good for your growing child contain sugars which cause rapid tooth decay, so you will simply need to find the best balance you can.

4. How to Clean the Teeth. – A soft cloth is sufficient to clean around your baby’s gums and first teeth as they start to come through. Use a very soft toothbrush and water to clean the teeth as more of them come through.

5. Fluoride Helps Develop Strong Healthy Teeth. – By the time, your baby is 1 year old; begin to use a small amount of fluoride toothpaste while brushing your child’s teeth.

6. Flossing Time – You should begin flossing your child’s teeth as soon as you notice their teeth beginning to touch each other.

7. On Their Own

- Your child can learn how to brush his or her own teeth at about 3 years of age. By the time they are four years of age, children should be brushing their own teeth twice a day – in the morning and before bedtime. Even though they are brushing their teeth on their own, you should still watch them and make sure they are brushing their teeth the right way.
