Our experiences and those things that happen in our environment may seem like the culprit for the way we may be feeling, however, it is actually quite the opposite as how we are feeling ultimately stems from within and not without. It is how we think about things and situations that form our perception of events or circumstances.

How we perceive anything and everything within our lives forms the structure of what we continuously manifest into our surroundings as well as our life experiences. For instance, the woman who is constantly upset that her husband doesn’t do enough for her, or say the things she wants him to say in the right way, experiences life a lot differently than the woman who focuses instead on being grateful that she has a faithful, diligent husband.

There is always something to be grateful for in every situation or circumstance. Giving the focus to what we are grateful for in any given situation, magically produces more to be grateful for. Therefore those that strive to live in a continuous state of gratitude, and perceive everything within that state, are the people who live in extreme abundance.

It is very easy to focus on the negative aspects of the things going on around us and what we don’t like. However, when we do so, our world is very negative as that is the way we perceive it.

Changing our focus from the negative state into a state of gratitude takes a commitment to think and act differently. The more you stay conscious of your thought patterns and work to change your way of thinking, the easier it becomes until finally it is the natural way in which you think and respond. You will quickly see, the rewards for doing so are truly endless.

Energy Thieves – Who Are They?

We have all met them – some call them energy suckers, others may call them psychic vampires, or energy vampires among various other names. Unfortunately, no matter what they are called, the effect they have on us is the same.

Energy thieves are people who literally drain you of emotional energy. There are many who are completely unaware they do this to others. They are just trapped in their own emotional negativity and completely oblivious to the effect they have on others. They are the people in your life who constantly complain, but never care to find workable solutions to their problems. They are also the people who seem to constantly have major emotional drama, or worse yet, obsessive emotional mindsets that never seem to clear.

There are also some who are quite aware of what they are doing, and may do it intentionally on a whole different level entirely to be able to gain the energy they need for their own well being or higher state for whatever purpose it serves them. We tend to come into the company of these types when we are at high states of vibration, and abundance is naturally flowing. As we meet these energy thieves, they will be near rock bottom. Those of us who are here for rescue, especially those who are empaths, will encounter these types more so than others. These will also have a lot of emotional “baggage” or drama they either participate in or create.

Energy Thieves run in high states of emotion, mostly of the negative variety. They may often seem angry, sad, or even depressed. Deeper relationships with one will often result in continuously trying to please one whose standards will always be too high to reach. Energy thieves often seem very selfish and have little regard for how their actions are effecting your life or even your sanity!

How to Prevent Being Emotionally Drained by Someone

The best advice I can give in this regard, is to stay away from someone who is continuously draining you of every ounce of your emotional energy. I know that can sometimes be easier said than done, but you must make that commitment to yourself to not allow it for your own well being. Whether or not you allow this to be done to you, will not change whether or not the person will continue it. I assure you, they will move on to someone else!

If the person who is constantly draining you is someone you cannot control having to be around, such as in your daily work environment, there are still some things that can offer a little help such as certain natural crystals being in the environment, and natural salt lamps. It may also help you greatly to imagine yourself before walking in surrounded by a great white bubble that you ask for no negative energy to penetrate. If you are in an office or environment where you are able to, try listening to calming music periodically by headset.

Remember, there is a big difference between someone who is going through a hard emotional time and someone who this is a natural characteristic of!

Energy thieves can only continue to drain us emotionally in most instances if we allow them to. In this instance, as well as all instances, think of your mental and emotional well being, and do your best to be in the company of those who equally and mutually resonate to a positive frequency.

Seeing ghosts doesn’t necessarily make one know what they want or why they are hanging around. A lot of people who naturally see them may have a lot more fear than curiosity and may not have realized they can communicate with them as well. One who often sees ghosts is a natural medium. If you are a person who has always been able to see them or feel them, you are a natural medium, and there is a reason why you see them.

Just to make myself clearer, what I am referring to as a ghost is one who has passed from life, and has not yet gone with the light in spirit, or as some might say, crossed to the other side. Once in spirit, what they want is a different matter entirely.

What Causes One to Become a Ghost

There are a few different ways one might choose to stay behind after they have passed away. Most often it is because of a sudden or traumatic death, or some very strong emotional issue that has been left unresolved. Think of ghosts as just another person, and one who needs help.

A hard concept for us to grasp, is there is no such thing as time except here in the physical sense. One might say that time is an illusion of ours here on this side. What may be 100 years in our term of conception, to one who is lost or “stuck” here, is much different.

Those who may have had a sudden or traumatic death may be here for quite some time almost as if stuck in a time warp or a bad dream, and may actually not even realize they are dead. The simple realization of this on some level will often make those this is true for go ahead and cross to the other side.

Those who have a strong unresolved emotional issue are often another case entirely. In this case, most often they are quite aware they have passed and have made a conscious decision to stay here to try and resolve whatever this situation may be. In some cases, it may be justice. In other cases it may be love. There are certainly other cases as well. In most all of these cases, if there can be help to resolve whatever this emotional tie is, they will also go into the light on their own afterward.

The Many Ways a Ghost May Try to Communicate

If you are not a natural medium, you may find a ghost trying to get your attention by moving things, as well as making all types of noises they are able to make. However, if you are a natural medium, the majority of them will be aware they can communicate more clearly with you than others.

Natural mediumship most naturally comes to us through dreams. Those whose natural mediumship is stronger, may also find odd “coincidences” or even be aware someone is trying to communicate during the awake time.

As a ghost may be trying to share information about what has them stuck here, and what has them stuck here has a negative basis, the information received by a natural medium will also be of the same negative nature. To one that is also clairvoyant, they may literally be shown the events as they happened. For one who is clairaudient, the information may be heard instead. For one who is also empathic, all of the negative based emotion will be passed as feelings. For those who may have all of these natural gifts, the seeing, hearing, feeling may be experienced all at the same time, as in more of remote viewing, or these gifts may all come through separately as pieces of a proverbial puzzle. For these reasons, it is very helpful to keep a running journal of the events as they take place to help decipher the messages.

What Ghosts Ultimately Want

To put into one word what it is they want – Resolution. They want to be released from whatever it is that has them held here. Not only do they want it, so do the angels. The angels are always working to get these trapped entities back into the light of love where they are able to heal from the experiences of the life that has passed but still has them stuck here.

We always have the choice to be in the light of the love. Unfortunately these lost souls have lost that knowledge as they have traveled so far from the light, they are no longer aware of it.

A natural medium who works to rescue these lost souls works directly with the angels to help bring them back into the light of love on the other side. Any fear in doing so is unfounded as the force that surrounds the medium in help is much more powerful that anything that exists on this earth. If you are a natural medium, be confident in the fact that you are surrounded and assisted by the strongest force of love in existence, and please always keep in mind, as Virgil once said, “Love conquers all.”

There are many different paths of psychics, just as there are many paths of service with any gift, and many different areas of service that a person with natural psychic abilities may be drawn to. What each individual’s purpose is with their psychic gifts will vary according to personalities, interests, and ultimately each individual’s life themes.

For instance, one who is here with a justice theme, who has always been attracted to the situations where justice needs to be served and who is a natural medium, may find their path with their abilities best suited by working with law enforcement on missing persons cases, or other crime related cases. They may also be drawn to work with other avenues that bring justice in some way. Often spirits who have crossed to the other side connect with us through visits in our dreams. It is when we are in our dream state that they are most naturally able to connect with those who are natural mediums. This is why mediumship, in its natural form, is often more experienced by us in dreams. For those natural mediums who are also able to communicate with those spirits who may be stuck here as ghosts, you may also experience them in dreams. Even our guides will often communicate with us through dreams.

Visits from spirit in our dreams, are very different from our “normal” dreams and often have very similar characteristics. Most will agree, when awakened from these dreams, you may find yourself looking around for the person you were just talking to, or feel like you were somewhere else and just got zapped back in somehow.

Common Characteristics of Spirit Visits From the Other Side in Dreams

You are being talked to but notice in the dream the persons lips don’t seem to be moving.

The person in your dreams seems elevated just a few inches above the ground.

There is some “higher” or specific message given.

You are awakened immediately after, and feel either as if you were just left, or you have just arrived back.

The person talking to you seems “brighter” than normal.

You feel a sense of love and peace even after awakened. (especially for those who are also empaths)

The dream doesn’t seem to “leave” you, meaning, you have trouble getting it out of your mind.

Common Characteristics of Ghost Communication Through Dreams

These signs are much more harsh, and may be an area that causes fear until this is better understood and learned to work with in awake time instead of dream time.

Characteristics:

You have dreams where it feels as if whatever the experience is, you are actually experiencing it yourself complete with all the negative emotions associated with the experience. (most commonly considered nightmares) These dreams will make sense and will play out like a movie, rather than the common unconscious dreams that have elements that do not make sense. These dreams will leave you wondering who all these people were.

Dreams of people talking to you that are in clothing other than what is the norm for modern society. The clothing will be from a previous time in history.

Dreams of people where you can see their physical wounds, but otherwise, they look whole.

Dreams of people saying negative things but you feel what they are saying isn’t really being said to you, as if someone is showing you a “piece” of a conversation or event, or as if they are unaware you are witnessing what they are saying to someone else.

Dreams that you may not immediately remember, but you wake feeling as if someone is in the room with you.

Dreams where the “scene” you are watching involves a time in the past, indicated by things that are no longer a part of our modern world, such as older vehicles, furniture, etc.

Dreams Involving Guides

These dreams will seem quite different. Most commonly upon waking you feel as if you have connected with a very old friend who offered some wise advice about current situations or stumbling blocks in your life. Another common thing, for those in the natural state of mediumship, is you may not remember upon waking who you were actually talking to, or you may be confused because the person felt like a dear friend, but you don’t know the person here and now.

While these are a few common characteristics, they are certainly only a few. There are many other signs you are visiting with an energy other than one who is in the same state of “living” that you are though your dreams. One thing is for sure, and that is, these spirit visits in dreams hold messages for you, as well as others.

Natural psychic, medium, and empathic abilities may feel a lot more like a curse in their raw states than the gifts they really are. Even for those that the above statement is not true, many still have issues coping with, or fully understanding and learning to work with their natural psychic abilities.

Just because I’m a natural born psychic medium doesn’t mean I was also born above all the fear. For me, it was a long journey through lots of fears that led to using my natural abilities. I say I am both natural born and developed with my abilities as this is true. I had them from the beginning, but that doesn’t mean I always understood them or knew what to do with them! I learned that, and I can help you learn that too, along with helping you discover for what purposes you have these gifts.

Just simply learning to understand your gifts and how they work and why they work goes a very long way. There are times when one door must close before another can open. There are also times we hang on to things way too long because we are afraid of all that waits for us behind the new door. Don’t stare at the door that is closing so long that you don’t even notice the door standing wide open before you! Embrace the new opportunities that await you! Trust in the higher source that is guiding you to the experiences you need for your own growth, and willingly choose to make the very best of all situations that are brought to you. Everything is for a reason. We may not see those reasons in the beginning, but we will always come to realize what they are if we reflect upon them later.

Always remember you are exactly where you are supposed to be at this moment in time. Trust that knowing, take a few deep breaths, and embrace the change!
