Ever have someone you talk to on the phone for the first time, and already feel you were separated at birth? That was Paige and I. Paige was referred to me by our mutual friend Kara, who’s family I get the joy of shooting each year. Here’s Kara’s family this year, and last. We LOOOOVE them! Well wouldn’t you know that a friend of sweet Kara’s would be a friend of mine…Paige & I spent our first phone convo cracking up at each other and pretty much cementing our friendship. Needless to say, we already have a few family outings and boating trips planned all together for the next few months. ANYWAY…

The joy of shooting for the Moe family is that they are all ridiculously fun and unfairly gorgeous…oh & they have chickens too, so the girls LOVED our hens. ‘Nuff said. Enjoy! xo

Maria and Nate are two very special, very sweet people and I was so blessed to get the opportunity to capture the beauty of their La Jolla wedding at La Valencia Hotel. I’ve known Maria’s sister-in-law and family for a while now…we gallop in the same hunter/jumper circles where I ride horses. Such an amazing family full of kind, fun people…needless to say, it was a joy to be there for the wedding in the midst of friends, and their family, sharing in Nate & Maria’s happy day!

The essence of Nate & Maria’s wedding: warmth, intimacy, laughs & beautiful sunny SoCal!

The majority of shots I captured of Nate & Maria are of them laughing…which is perfect, and perfectly THEM! Love their joy together…

Umm…Maria’s ring? Almost 4 CARATS of gloriousness. Yes…way to go Nate!

Such a perfect, sunny Southern California day…the views of La Jolla Shores were beautiful from La Valencia’s balconies!

Both Nate’s brother, Ed, and Maria’s brother, Joe, were HILARIOUS!! They had me in stitches all day long!

And this is the amazing family I am forever grateful to for introducing me to Maria & Nate! Joe is Maria’s brother and is surrounded by all these sweet, gorgeous GIRLS in his house! And every single one of them rides horses…my kind of family! Oh yes, and Miss Bella (in Joe’s arms) is only two days apart from my Mia. We have A LOT that brings us together…and it’s always so much fun! xo

San Diego Boudoir Photography – The Maxim-ness of Mrs. P

As soon as Mrs. P called me inquiring about doing a classy Maxim-styled boudoir session, my mind was buzzin’. And once we had meet in person, over drinks at the fabulous Flying Pig Pub, I couldn’t get her shoot out of my mind from there on out! Needless to say, on the day of the shoot, we had a BLAST! Champagne & strawberries, music cranked in our swanky suite, lingerie & stilettos all over the place, strobes firing off all the walls…as usual, it was a girl PAAARTAY! And Miss P…? She brought her game in the most beautiful way! This bride needs to be modeling, STAT! For know, her lucky hubby is going to have his socks blown off by what we captured here…

And no…she’s NEVER modeled before (except when she was three, she said). Right?! She brought her game (& patience)…BIG TIME!

Mile long legs… Doesn’t she look like a 6’0″ model?!

We created this in a simple, unremarkable hallway between the bedroom & bathroom of our suite. Love it!

I love the simplicity of the above left…sweet face, soft light, great color. One of my favs!

Mrs. P: THANK YOU for trusting me, bringing your rockin’ game to our party, and allowing me to share your beauty with other ladies out there. If they only knew just how beautiful you are on the INSIDE as well… Mr. P is one very blessed person, and so am I for having the pleasure of working with you and getting to know you. Cheers to both of you on your big wedding day and many years to come! I hope I get the call to shoot some beautiful babies in the future…no pressure, of course! xo

When my sweet friend Paige of Paiges of Style asked me to shoot her daughter Charley’s birthday party, I was immediately all in. Paige creates the most AMAZING celebrations…like my own Mia’s first birthday party. I am absolutely in love with this sweet family…and the fact that I get to capture the joy in them each year, is such a total blessing! These guys are so easy to photograph and so much fun to spend the afternoon with…I couldn’t ask for more.

Logan, I learned this time, will do just about ANYTHING for a TicTac.

Audrey is HAM CITY these days! Love her teeny dimples!
