  Originally uploaded by Rick Blythe. Just a shot from today's walk along the waterfront. The rays of light seemed worthy of a shot so I took it. What I didn't expect was the color rendition. On first viewing it looks like a sepia converted photo, but this is actually right out of the camera. Seasons and weather patterns have a way of doing this.

It's no spectacular photo, but it does capture the feeling of the moment.&lt;br/&gt;

The Nikon D3000 features a new body with slightly more rounded shoulders and a larger 3.0-inch LCD panel on its rear face. The control layout is nearly identical to that of the D40, ensuring that owners of the previous camera will feel right at home.   
By no means will this model blow away the seasoned photographer, however...&lt;br/&gt;

With this technique, the ratio of focal lengths of the main lens to the reverse lens is the magnification. Therefore with a 105mm lens and a 50mm reverse lens, the magnification is actually about 2:1. And since DSLRs have small sensors, it's actually more like 3:1, which should be obvious from the photo he provided. The screw looks huge!

Cosmetically there are very few changes from the H50, and from a distance it is quite easy to mistake one for the other. The controls are logically laid out, with dedicated buttons for most of the shooting settings, and anybody who has used a super zoom, especially a Sony one, will be right at home on the HX1.
