I am excited to finally Launch this website as the time has come to move forward with this project.

A short introduction...

The Concept. The concept behind Better Know a Framework is directly inspired by a segment on the .NET Rocks podcast. In this segment the host (Carl) regularly discusses a class or a part of the .NET Framework as a way to expand peoples knowledge. My inspiration is to take this to the next level and bring screencast content to the development community in a similar fashion, a small segment at a time.

It is worth admitting though that this is not an original idea, many other sources of excellent screencasts exist (Example: dnrTV). That being said I believe that at the same time many aspects of the framework are still not covered well and therefore opportunities to contribute still exist.

Future. In the long-run I hope to make this an excellent source of content that helps people learn better ways of software development using the .NET framework and related tools. To make this possible I plan to not only include content created by me but also involve other passionate contributes (some of this is already in the works).

This wont be an easy process as creating and publishing screencast content is fairly difficult, but taking small steps forward will likely lead to success. This is only the beginning, so lets get started.

Thank you for visiting!
