The server that all my sites were on went down in a big way on Friday the 13th. Luckily for me a lot of the sites were stagnant but my recently launched photography site Curt O’Neil Photographer - Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer went down HUGE and nothing was backed up.

Lesson learned.

Domino is 3 Today - How the Time Flies

So I don’t really update the blog anymore — there’s things on the way, I got busy, the house got fixed-ish etc etc. But it’s tradition for me to post about Domino and his birthday, so here it is. Domino is 3 today. Does anyone remember when we were talking about picking him out? It seemed like yesterday.

Domino has also informed me that it’s never to late to get him biscuits, balls, steak, meat, cheese, ribs, bones, cookies or any other edible item.

Battle of the Bands - April 26, 2008

This past Saturday the Superior Community Skatepark Association with the help of the Algoma University Students’ Union and Crank Sound put on a battle of the bands to help raise funds for the skate park. It’s been awhile since I shot so I headed to this good cause to get back into the swing of things. Below is the first batch gallery of some of the shots from the night. There are more to come and I’ll post again when they come.

Changes Are Imminent

So I haven’t blogged anywhere in a long time and when I do it’s brief updates.Â There are lots of changes coming down the line though.

For the first new development I’m looking at turning my photography into its own business.Â Right now attached to Murderfly Multimedia I mainly target bands as they are not affected by the name at all but for the general public I’ll have a separate photography entity.Â Same great shots, new great name, new photo specific site.

Considering I’m doing this I’ll need to build my portfolio in a timely matter and nobody benefits from this more than you.Â If you need photos for any of the following reasons or fit into a category contact me in any way you can (comment here, email, phone, instant message):

recently engaged
promo shots for your band
recently married and want to try a Trash the Dress sessionÂ (your dress does not need to be “trashed” for this
promo work for yourself, fun outdoor shots for friends/family/etc

From here other new developments is redefining what this blog will be.Â It’ll get a face lift and probably lose all it’s old content.Â Streamlining it a bit more.Â Murderfly Multimedia will also get a make over as it hasn’t been touched in over a year either.

Once again, stay tuned and hopefully as I progress forward you’ll come along for the ride with me.

I just upgraded my OS to Leopard about a week ago and still do not have my batch processing set up so the full gallery will come later (as I’m too lazy right now). Time of Ruin - Pictures

I shot the Sault’s newest metal band Time or Ruin on Friday, November 23rd at Foggy Notions. I wasn’t too big a fan of the shots that I had so decided to play with a bit of post processing techniques that I wanted to learn. I think the results are acceptible for a first try at it and at major post processing as well.

The first shot is actually the last one I worked and I had some ideas on how to improve the techniques I was learning a bit more. I went very over the top with the texture but I like it.

I have one more shot I’m working on but it needs some touch up work which is once agian a learning process thing for me so hopefully I’ll be posting that soon as well.
