There are no reasons why I abandoned this blog. Maybe it's due to my other commitment I wasn't able to update this blog. But, I am (right now) determined to write frequently and to continue my mission to promote local and regional football in the midst of European football. Wish me luck! However, unfortunately I don't have much free time to "revamp" this blog. So, this blog gonna look just like before, nothing new except new entries.

For starter, tomorrow is the second leg of Malaysian FA Cup Quarter Final. I will update the results and highlights. See you tomorrow, Hasta mañana...

It was all done in Group A. The last fixture in that group just ended a few hours ago. This is the standing of the group:

Thailand won 3-1 against last year semi finalist, Vietnam thus eliminating them. Philippines won 2-0 against Myanmar. Highlights and Full Match is not uploaded yet by the AFF Suzuki Cup youtube channel. So, just wait and see.

Malaysia played so bad for the first fixture. The whole nation were furious on their performance. Thankfully, they bounced back and perform well against Laos. So, the opportunity are still open in group B for the final two spot. Thailand pretty much secured their place in the next round for group A.

Between The Post is Back! AFF Suzuki Cup New Kit

It's been 3 months, 3 days since my last entry in this blog. I felt ashamed for not updating it as I promised before. I will not make a false promise again, but I'll try my best to keep this blog alive. However, I'm on a break right now. As you can see above, the AFF Suzuki Cup is just for another 12 days to come. Unfortunately, Malaysia as a co-host nation didn't make a promotion or publicity about this tournament. So, I will try my best to do coverage on this tournament. For this entry, I will just show to you a couple new kits from a few country.

Malaysia team just released their new kit today. So does Singapore and Indonesia. Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia are using Nike as their Jersey producer. So, I assume Nike is releasing the kits at the same date. This is the video for the launching of new Malaysia kit.

The nation who won the women's world cup last year (if I'm not mistaken) failed to repeat their achievement on a different tournament, Olympic. However, I think this is not the entirely same squad who won the world cup. Nonetheless, USA won this gold medal match in this edition of Olympic. Congratulation to them. So, this is the highlights of the match:

Mata, Nippon? (Japan, Again?)

First of all, this entry is about the women's football in Olympic. The golden medal contender is now decided. It is between USA or Japan. Why did I said "Japan, again?". If you remember, Japan women football team won their World Cup previously. So, they are in the final again. But this time, it is in Olympic stage.

Olympic: Men's Football; What a Coincidence!

I feel pity to this blog because I have not update it for a loooong time. Yeah, I've told you that now I have another commitment, so I can't always update my blogs. Plus, I can't get a decent internet connection there. So, I can't help but not to update my blogs. But I still promise whenever I get opportunity to update, I will update. Many things happen and I missed to make a review of it. For example, Malaysia vs Arsenal, Malaysia vs Manchester City, and many more.

Enough of that, lets just talk about this Olympic in London. I'm not able to watch football games because I don't know, maybe I don't have much time to watch it, or I'm just to ignorant to watch football games in Olympic. But, here is the current result for the latest games of Men's Football:

Did you see what I see? I see coincidence! In the semis, each South American team will face each top two Asian team. Isn't that a great coincidence? Nonetheless, I didn't follow much about this particular event, but I hope Asian will win.

Back to our topic. Last night, Ukraine was denied a goal because of the referee mistake. The replay clearly show the ball was crossed the line. So, I suggest that the "Goal Line Technology" (GTL) should be applied as soon as possible. So, earlier this evening, I just read the President of FIFA tweet about this issue:

So, what do you think? Why he didn't say anything when the same thing happen in the 2010 World Cup for an England goal that was also denied? Nonetheless, this issue has come to surface.

Last two group stage matches played last night,

England vs Ukraine

I don't really watch the game but I follow updates from twitter. They said England wasn't very serious in first half. And as for their goal, it was a mistake from the Ukrainian goalkeeper who can't catch the ball firmly. Later Ukraine should score an equalizer but denied by the referee who thought that was not yet cross the line. Even the UEFA "goal assistant" said so. But the replay show us the other result. The ball was totally crossed the line. The same script when England lost to Germany in World Cup. I thought they've test the "Goal Line Technology", but it seems they still want to use the "goal assistant" to validate the goal. I think so far it is only in Europe because I never saw an extra referee stay beside goal in any other matches outside Europe. Still, make human error. It just a detector, it won't delay to much time of the match. And Andriy Shevchenko announce his retirement from international football after they lose to England last night. Sweden vs France

I feel sorry for Sweden though, but it was their game plan that they've lost on the previous two matches. In this match, they really put up a good fight. And France lost against them. Too bad, even France lose, they still qualified to the next round. So, here is the highlights, you gotta love Arabic commentator:

Last night Malaysia Super League results is as below:

So, Selangor won big. Actually that was helped by a red card to a T-Team player. I'm not sure who was that because there's no live broadcast for that match. Still, congrats to Selangor. I watch Terengganu vs Lions XII match. Obviously I support Terengganu because I always oppose team from Singapore. However tonight, Terengganu really show a disappointing performance. They've control the game. They got the possession, but always wasted many opportunities. And they got punished by the few last minute goal by the Singaporean. Good job guys. If Terengganu win and last night Kelantan won 1-0 against Kuala Lumpur, Kelantan will closing the gap with the Lions XII. I know, Lions XII got more matches played compared to any team in the Malaysian league. And apparently Sabah really got issues. That's all, thank you.

No surprise in group C when both former World Cup winner manage to go through the next round despite match fixing controversy for Italy.

Croatia vs Spain

I support Spain. But they love to play passion and possession game. So, I became very impatient in this match thus I switch to another match. I thought they'll go draw. But if that so, Italy will lead the group. Fortunately, last few minutes before the long whistle blown, they manage to score. But I'm curious. Isn't that an obvious offside? I'm not an expert though. So, maybe somebody can help me out here. This is the highlights:

I feel sorry for the Irish. Their fans I could say one of the most loyal fans in the world. Their team NEVER WON any of their matches in this tournament. And they've lost all of them. Yet, their supporters keep singing, smiling and supporting their players. I respect that. As for the game, I can't say much. It's entertaining. The action was back and forth. Irish also got their chances but they facing the big problem which is how to finish it. Nonetheless, here is the highlights:

Tonight, there were six Malaysia Premier League matches going on. So, the results are as above. Sime Darby, finalist of Malaysia FA Cup lost. Pahang, second place in the league, lost. Harimau Muda B, second win in a row after losing so many matches, and this one they won in a big margin. ATM, the league leader won big this time.

Lastly, in Indonesia Super League, Pelita Jaya won 2-0 with Safee Sali scored the first goal. That's all.

Malaysia U22 thrive yesterday when they defeated Qatar U22. The same squad when they faced last year in Qatar which ended with Malaysia lost 4-0 to them. Malaysia showed very promising improvement since they're having training in Europe(Hungary, Slovakia) and the match with China U22. Malaysia won 2-0 yesterday but both team gotta play with 10 men when Malaysian wonderkid, Nazmi Faiz was sent out because punching opponent for a tackle he made to his teammate. Portugal vs Netherlands

Group B. The death group they said. Well it was actually right when the finalist of recent World Cup ends up with all lost in this edition of EURO. Very unfortunate when they lost last night to Portugal who come as a hopeless side in this tournament when they lost 3-1 in their prep match against Turkey. And they were leading 1-0. But Christiano Ronaldo was fired up in this match when he scored both of Portugal goals thus sending their team to the knockout round. Congratulation to him by scoring two goals in a match with two different hairstyle. ¡Bravo muchacho! So, lets just watch the highlights shall we?

Denmark vs Germany

I guess Germany didn't want to end this group stage with a draw. Actually a draw was enough for them to go through to the next level. They want clean sheet. So, I guess Danish didn't stand a chance to win this game. However, they're not playing bad. It's just German is a much better team. And Danish put up some fight too. If not, the game will not ended with a 2-1 scoreline. Lets just watch the highlights:

My favorite team in Group A has been eliminated! At first, I'm completely lost on why Russia didn't qualify to the next stage. Russia's goal difference is way much better than Greece! In their first match, I believe that this will be an easy group in this tournament. But when they draw against Poland, I'm starting to think again. And they sealed their fate in their last match in the group. But still, I think the head-to-head rule is not fair. But that is one man opinion right? Lets just watch the highlights;

Moving on, Republic Czech is always a favorite in my eye in this match. The host nation will face a much better defenders in Republic Czech compared to Russian. Again, I just don't quite sure why they lost 4-1 to Russia in their first group match. Nonetheless, lets just watch the highlights;

Tonight full result. Hmmm...another bookie match Singapore? 9-0! I don't want to accuse but it seems really fishy.

Perhaps FAM should not allow Singapore back in the M-League? You know why Malaysia facing the downfall of their awesomeness? You don't have to guess because it's really obvious that the reason of Malaysian downfall was because of the fixing match scandals. Many talented players has gone and we need to wait another twenty years to climb back up at least now in South East Asia. So please, no bookie. Just see Singapore, they don't have many outstanding local players to represent their country. They need to rely on the foreigners to get the result. I'm not saying there are no talented players in Singapore. It's just that's not that much. Or perhaps I just making an false statement. If that so, I'm sorry. And why Brunei need to begin from FAM league while Lions XII don't have to if they want to play in the M'League? Why are they so exclusive?

Lastly, I'm sorry for not updating on the EURO matches. I'm having another things to do. But I'll compile the current results on the next entry.

REVENGE IS DAMN SWEET!!!

Sorry for a late post. Actually I want to post this entry yesterday. But, there was no photo. Nonetheless, revenge is truly sweet. Malaysia faced Singapore in a two-legged friendlies and Malaysia robbed in the first leg by the referee. However last night, Malaysia ended their non-winning streak against Singapore for the last 8 YEARS!. Last time Malaysia won against Singapore is in 2004 with also the same result. However, the few last minutes, the referee from Thailand seems to be on Malaysian side. Singapore got a red card, Bunyamin should have been sent off for the action he made but referee didn't give him the second yellow card.

Overall, I can say I'm really satisfied with Malaysian performance that night. They played fast, effective and entertaining game. And yet, they didn't look too tired at the end of the match. However, they still need to improve their finishing touch because Malaysia should win with a bigger margin last night. This is the goals from last night match. Greece vs Czech Republic

Czech Republic scores a double quick goals in less than 10 minutes. I'm not sure what's the Greece problem. I can say all the goals from that match was a mistake/misunderstanding between goalkeeper and defenders. Czech Republic was quite lucky then when their defenders didn't do much mistakes anymore after conceding a goal to Greece. Poland vs Russia

Wow...I didn't expect the result was like that actually. It seems that Poland might get through to the next round comparing to their performance last night. Fans fight, brawl and bring the rivalry again on the pitch. I expect this will be an easy win for Russia. They've won 4-1 against Czech Republic in the first fixture. And Czech Republic won 2-1 against Greece which Poland draw in their first fixture. Logically, there's not a problem facing Poland. But, I'm wrong. Poland showed me that they can play as good as the Russian. They're practically even. I can't pick which team were more superior last night. Well done Poland! You just made this tournament look interesting. Just watch this highlights, I finally found an Arabic commentator in that highlights. You know, I love Arabic and Spanish commentary. They're just so passionate.

A little late post but here is it; the two matches yesterday for the Group D:

France vs England

Thank goodness, I thought this most-talk-about match will kick-off on 2.45 a.m (Malaysia time). If that's the case, I couldn't watch it. Turns out, the co-host country played a later match. I can say french were playing slow and steady build-up to attack while England played fast-counter type tactic. So, it seems like french controlling the match yesterday but actually they're quite even. Just like Spain vs Italy the day before. And the result was also the same; 1-1. England scores first. Nine minutes later, Samir Nasri scores a stunning equalizer. Second half, not really entertaining for me. Because both team just cancelling the opposition attack. Let's just watch the highlights, shall we?

I didn't watch the game. I was already in my dreamland. But I've watched the highlights. Ukraine making a comeback after trailing with a goal. Basically I could say "it's the battle of two striker-captain"? Correct me if I'm wrong. I didn't watch the game. All the goal was scored by both of their team captain and both of them were a striker. The most influential person on the pitch of each team. Last night, there were two matches on the Group C first fixture between:

Spain vs Italy

Spain v Italy by ongrojinho

That match was actually fairly entertaining. Spain played with no striker in the starting line and manage to dictate in the midfield section. However, Italy seems to be a threat in the first half. De Rossi played well in the defensive line to deny any goal opportunity. Entering the second half, Italy still pressuring the Spanish defender. Mario Balotelli is off, Di Natale is on. It didn't took him a long time to score a goal. And Spanish didn't also wait too long to equalized when Cecs Febregas score the equalizer next three minutes. Spain at last put a striker upfront. Torres got two great opportunities but I don't know, maybe wrong judgement? So, he didn't score any. Full time: 1-1.

Ireland Republic vs Croatia

I'm sorry because I don't think I could manage to watch the second match on the day because it is too late for me to sleep. I don't want to jeopardize my body to watch the match. Well, you can't call this blog a football/soccer blog right if I didn't give you this EURO 2012 coverage? Actually I might become lazy to update this blog. But I'll try to get rid my laziness as soon as possible. As I was said before, I'm still updating my official blog each and every day. So, let's do this real fast.

Group A

First match

Opening match. Both of them are not a very popular team but, the match was actually pretty entertaining. Full of drama. Two red card, one penalty saved, and action back and forth. This is the highlights:

Second match

I'm not sure which team is the favorites in this match. But in my personal opinion, I think Russia indeed a favorites. Why? Because Czech Republic doesn't have many superstars anymore. I can say most of their stars are quite old already. Peter Cech? Old...But, for a goalkeeper, age is not too important. Milan Baros? Too old... Lets put the age issue aside, in this match, Russia was certainly played better than Czech Republic. So, lets just watch the highlights:

First match

What can I say? The dutch clearly a favorite in this match. They were the World Cup finalist. Denmark just lost to Brazil in their recent friendly. But, anything can happen in the football. And even you're playing better and beautiful football, in the end the result is what matter. The dutch got a load of chances but they wasted it. Danish just got a few chances, but what matter is they finished their job by scoring goal. And that's matter. Don't care if you're playing "total football" or not. So, lets watch the highlights:

Second match

Germany vs Portugal. People can almost predict it that the Germans will win this match. And fortunately for the portugese, they didn't lost big. Just 1-0. Portugal didn't win in any of their warm-up friendlies matches and lost to the non-qualified team, Turkey 3-1. So, people can say they're not a valid contender in the group B. Lets watch the highlights:
