My daughter and I were out shopping today and saw some of that new coffee creamer that has all the various candy bar flavors. Now, I absolutely love Heath Bar favored ice cream, but do I want it in my coffee?
Ummm. No.
As I told Amy, the &#8220;enjoyment factor&#8221; of eating Heath Bar stuff &#8211; at least for me &#8211; is all the crunchy bits as much as the flavor, so what would be the point of it in coffee or any other drink other than maybe a shake or a blizzard? Same goes for Almond Joys, too. Me no get this &#8220;candy bar in coffee&#8221; idea. At all. o.O

Have you ever had one of those months from hell? Well, in some ways that&#8217;s what this entire summer has felt like at times for me. And it&#8217;s not anything in particular either. Just a lot of little things adding up to make sure I can&#8217;t seem to get done the things that I want to get done.
But I keep trying.

Editing note: I&#8217;m reposting this because I had a &#8220;duh&#8221; moment and realized how to place the image in the post.
Oh, not mine. It&#8217;s just that considering all the hoopla and angst surrounding the situation with Superman in the comics, a LOL about Batman I just read literally made me laugh until I cried:
The Batman Family Story

Seriously, it just sort of puts the entire thing into perspective, ya know. Poor Bats. Women trouble is the least of his problems. ROTFL.
Which is always why I question his &#8220;loner&#8221; label. Right. The guy who has surrounded himself with an entire passel of dependents and other assorted attachments is a loner? Come again?
And on another note, what&#8217;s with the sword in that next to last panel? That does not look like it came out of a utility belt. o.O

Just a quick word on what&#8217;s happening with some of the posts appearing and possibly disappearing.
I decided to directly link the blog I have on Tumblr with this site and imported the very few posts that I did there into this one. Since most of them didn&#8217;t have titles they&#8217;re showing up as id #s for now, at least until I can sort things out. This doesn&#8217;t mean that everything I post here will show up there or vice versa but most of it will. I kind of think of the blog over there as being the &#8220;back porch&#8221; of this one, more freewheeling and spur of the moment.
I&#8217;d also decided this summer that I wanted to do a major redesign of the site. In fact, I almost took it completely offline for a month or so because I thought I was going to have to change programs and figured ...<div class="feedflare">

I had already decided I wasn&#8217;t going to comment on the topic of the Superman/Wonder Woman hook-up, because frankly I&#8217;m not all that invested in the outcome one way or another. This rather odd storyline will in no way impact the way I feel about Superman or Lois Lane no matter how long or short lived it is. As far as I&#8217;m concerned. I still have the &#8220;products&#8221; I already love to rewatch and reread and what they&#8217;re doing just doesn&#8217;t involve the characters I love but some other people I don&#8217;t know.
Is that short-sighted? Maybe. But, you know, fans and consumers have that lee-way. They can pick and choose.
In reading some of the comments over the last couple of days, though, I realized that my perspective as a romance reader gives me a very different insight into this situation. Granted it even took me a day or so to ...<div class="feedflare">

I’m a man who can fly, but it’s this woman who sweeps me off my feet.
There’s really not much more to say. Anything else is just a copy.

I&#8217;ve been saving this picture since I went to the Superman Celebration in Metropolis in June this year because I knew Lois Lane&#8217;s &#8220;birthday&#8221; was coming up. What can I say, we spent a wonderful day there where of course I picked up some wonderful Superman swag:

a Metropolis, Illinois, Superman swag bag to hold all the goodies in
a small wooden jewelry box that has absolutely nothing to do with Superman but that has a gorgeous picture of woman (girl?) in period dress reading on the top
three new Superman tee-shirts, all very different in style
a new Superman mug
The Kryptonite Companion, a compendium on Superman&#8217;s early years in the comics that I&#8217;d never seen before
a graphic novel tie-in with Lois &#38; Clark that I&#8217;ve also never heard of before
a couple of Superman Metropolis magnets
a Superman Metropolis keychain
and my absolute favorite and new prized possession, a Silver Age boxed Superman and Lois Lane ...<div class="feedflare">
