Blog Under Construction!

2015-08-18T02:29:00.000-07:00

I am finally getting around to making this blog what I really want it to be; more like a fulfilled website with my full gallery, links to my shops, and a form for commissioning me.

I sincerely hope to make this an example of what can be done on blogger for artists, since we tend to not have the money to fund sites that require us to pay for their services.

I have yet to see a blog that has been an example for me of this, but many others have customized theirs to the point where it is almost unrecognizable as a blogger site, so I knew I could manage. If you like my site by the time I am done with it, awesome! And I want you to know that I did not use any coding while making the site the way I want it. Feel free to contact me for tips and help (or if you wanna pay me to make you one. :p). Once the contact page is finished, that is.

What has no white, but is still black and red all over?

I have decided to blog again. So you can expect me to revive a bit. I have a lot of projects going on, and finally making some money from working as a freelance artist.

My posts will probably include small updates on how my daily life is going, maybe some animal pictures, on top of the obligatory nail polish pictures.

In this shot I have posed with one of the picture jasper stones I am working on wire wrapping. Those fished peices will be included on my art blog as they get photographed or posted to etsy.

Thanks to all those who have stuck around and still follow this blog!

New Business Cards!

2013-09-03T12:07:00.000-07:00

Not the best picture I have ever taken, but the cards themselves are beautiful!

Has my three main sites for purchases listed, but not my facebook or blog since those are more about me just talking. XD The background is an actual painting I have done as well. :D

Let me know what you think!

I finally have my society6 page up and running!

http://society6.com/Aertidoll

I am posting art prints currently, but plan on adding cell phone cases, laptop skins, T-shirts, pillows, and whatever else that crazy site has! It is a great site, and the prices are awesome for those of us who can't afford to make these things on our own. :D

Check it out when you get the chance.

Finished Owl

Finished owl design, on a blue stained wood block. I have liked working on simplistic designs, recently.

The good uncle

2013-08-18T22:42:00.001-07:00

iOS camera captured this little moment perfectly. I may not focus on photography, but I really love the feeling of this shot.

This was an unplanned happening of my husband with my best friend's little girl.

Titan helping his new mommy(me) paint.

This guy is my new baby. His name came from his foster parents, Titan, but we love it. He decided my new prices are comfy. :D

Owl work in progress

Soon to be a painting. And as always the design and image is (c) me. So you may not use them without my written permission.

Back to Work

2013-08-06T15:32:00.000-07:00

I have been away... for awhile! XD I am back now, and back to work. I have a bunch of things to post, and a lot that will end up for sale on etsy, deviantart (for prints), and at local craft shows. I am looking for advice from the people around me who know art, to help me out with pricing, but I am lacking a lot of input, so feel free to leave comments with what you think each peice is worth or you would pay for it. (Framed/unframed, and please don't worry about insulting me, I know I have a lot of room to grow. :D)

I hope to get some new things posted here soon!

Lady Sunflower

2013-03-29T06:04:00.000-07:00

This was done as an Easter Gift for my mom, specifically to go in her spare bathroom... it just had this awkward blank wall that NEEDED something there... XD Also, did you know having a ladybug in your home is supposed to bring good luck? That must mean those houses that become infested with them have GREAT luck... >.< They stink when they die... so go with a ladybug painting.

Funeral Wreath

2013-03-13T05:40:00.000-07:00

First up the photo I worked from, taken by me as well. This is from a wreath of fake flowers that was given to my mom and I at my dad's funeral.

I turned the photo into a painting shortly after that same year. It is a treasured piece to me.
