				<div class="et_pb_text_inner">Along with the benefits of modern technology, we have inherited a global burden of toxicity. Our human organism was never designed to cope with such an expansive spectrum of chemical substances and heavy metals, nor the sheer volume of them. For the first time in our evolution, we are obligated to schedule regular cleansing of our environmental exposure.</p>
<p>Cleansing refers to processes within the body that facilitates the elimination of toxic substances, also referred to as detoxification. The scientific name for cellular cleansing is ‘autophagy’, it describes repairing processes, where our cells can recycle its parts and eliminate oxidised fragments. This spring cleaning process was a natural feature of our hunter-gatherer origins, due to regular periods of involuntary food scarcity.</p>
<p>You see, there are 2 opposing metabolic states in the body: anabolic (growth) and catabolic (cleanse). They are designed to complement each other, just like Yin and Yang. They achieve perfect homeostatic balance within our bodies, provided they are given sufficient opportunity to perform their roles. By outlining the requirements to activate cleansing, it will become evident that our bodies rarely get a chance to clean house.</p>
<h4><strong>1. Parasympathetic Activation</strong></h4>
<p>There are two sides of our autonomic nervous system, the sympathetic is referred to as the ‘flight or fight’ state. It engages our adrenal glands to secrete adrenaline and is responsible for physical activity and focus. Any form of stress, exercise, urgency, excitement or embarrassment will active it. On the other side, the parasympathetic is referred to as the ‘rest &amp; digest’, which operates all the house-keeping functions, like; hormone regulation, immune balance, digestion, healing and … you guessed it – cleansing. Therefore, we must be in a relaxed state to permit the parasympathetic nervous system to be switched on, to facilitate any cleansing process.</p>
<h4><strong>2. Lymphatic Acid-Alkaline Balance</strong></h4>
<p>The lymphatic fluids of our bodies provide the internal environment of our immune system, referred to as the milieu of our biological terrain. There is a very fine line of pH, ranging between neutral (7) to slightly alkaline (8) to operate optimally. An acidic lymphatic system (pH lower than 7) will encourage microbes within it to pleomorphically develop into pathogenic forms, exposing our cells to more mycotoxins. Too alkaline is equally problematic, leading to muscle spasms, cramping and neurological issues.</p>
<h4><strong>3. Flowing Elimination Pathways</strong></h4>
<p>Once toxins are mobilised from their storage tissue, they need an unobstructed exit strategy. Most of the unpleasant symptoms associated with detoxing are derived from too many circulating toxins being liberated too quickly and not leaving the body fast enough. Pre-cleanse preparation that clears our primary elimination pathways of gut, kidney, lymph and skin will help avoid disruptive challenges. Constipation must be resolved before attempting any form of cleansing.</p>
<h4><strong>4. Fasting</strong></h4>

<p>Even though both digestion and cleansing are a function of the parasympathetic nervous system. The body cannot ignore food once ingested. Digestion of food draws many resources to breakdown, assimilate, absorb and circulate nutrients. This is an anabolic process designed to grow body tissue and repair damaged cells. Overriding any attempt of the body to cleanse toxins. When we avoid food, we invite the body to activate cleansing signals. This happens during quality sleep. However, our toxic load exceeds what can be eliminated each night.<br />

<strong>Benefits of Cleansing</strong></p>
<p>The benefits of cleansing are extensive and contribute greatly to elevating our quality of health and prevention and/or reversing of chronic metabolic diseases. It achieves this great feat by decongesting our lymphatic system and extracting disruptive toxins and heavy metals that antagonise cellular function. Without regular cleansing, toxins continue to accumulate over many years that calcify our arteries, harden tissues, sustain constant inflammation and disrupt neural circuitry. Many of the ailments associated with aging are a direct effect of a growing toxic load.</p>
<p>On a personal level, I’ve discovered some curious benefits from extended fasting. It appears to stimulate a metabolic reset. Like a recalibration of metabolic efficiency, producing more energetic buoyancy with an elevated, light feeling. Cognition is enhanced, dissolving any residual fogginess. The other fascinating experience is an obvious refreshed relationship with food and appetite. Hunger is naturally suppressed once ketones produced from fat burning rise sufficiently after three days of fasting. I describe it as food freedom, eating becomes a choice NOT a need.</p>
<h4><strong>How to Cleanse Safely</strong></h4>
<p>The safest way to improve your ability to cleanse effectively without health risks is to approach fasting in a very gradual fashion. Fasting is like any new activity, it benefits from practice that develops confidence over time. Initially, there will be some metabolic resistance to withdrawing from carbohydrate dependency. Think of fasting like taking your digestive system to the gym. Your fasting muscle will improve gradually over many workouts. There is a range of hacks that together will help make cleansing a joy that you look forward to every season.</p>
<p><b>They include:</b><br />
&#8211; Drinking at least two litres of water throughout the day with unsweetened electrolytes This will keep your cellular function afloat and flush the unwanted towards the exit door.</p>
<p>&#8211; If you don’t have the luxury of lapping it up at the resort and need to continue working like the rest of us. Then you will require supplementing with nutrients to resource those activities. This will also buffer the impact of stress, reducing the extent and frequency of the flight or fight state. For this reason, it is helpful to schedule cleanses away from more intensive events.</p>
<p>&#8211; Keeping physically active in gentle ways, such as walking, swimming, rebounding, yoga, qigong, tai chi and light functional exercises will maintain metabolism and help flush the lymphatic system. Saunas are also helpful in the same way.</p>
<p>-Monitor the pH of your urine daily, using litmus test strips. You can correct acidic results by supplementing with bicarb soda. For those with hypertension or high salt diets, use potassium bicarbonate instead.</p>
</div>
<p>&#8211; Lastly, take some kind of binder to absorb the toxins being eliminated through the bowel. Things like activated charcoal, bentonite clay, zeolite and herbal fibre blend are all very effective.</p>
<p>I hope this summary of the benefits of cleansing has inspired you to give it a try. For those of you are that are on medication or have acute allergies, please come into the clinic for an appraisal of your capacity for cleansing and what preparation measures may be warranted.</p>

<p>Vitamin C is an essential water-soluble nutrient for humans, which means it is required in our diet on a regular basis. We are one of the few species that cannot synthesis our own. This is due to lacking the enzyme (L-gulonolactone oxidase) required to convert glucose into ascorbic acid. The bioavailability of vitamin C depends on both intestinal absorption &amp; renal excretion.</p>
<p>Our dependency on Vitamin C was first discovered during early boat voyages that extended beyond a month’s duration, which produced Scurvy disease. The symptoms of Scurvy demonstrate overt Vitamin C deficiency. These include; fatigue, muscle weakness, aching joints, poor wound healing, gingivitis, bleeding gums and emotional distress. Without Vitamin C, we eventually die of infection &amp; uncontrolled bleeding … pretty dramatic!</p>
<p>The roles and actions of Vitamin C are exhaustive. It’s easy to see why we are so reliant upon it. Just to name a few of its main functions; antioxidant, antihistamine, collagen synthesis, bone and teeth growth, detoxification of heavy metals, vasodilation (open capillaries), cell membrane maintenance, adrenal &amp; ovary function, sperm motility &amp; regulates cholesterol metabolism.</p>
<p>When choosing food sources of Vitamin C, it is important to buy ‘seasonally’ fresh produce. Vitamin C content will be lost during extended refrigeration and transport. Seasonal fruits include Guavas, Kiwifruit, Strawberries, Citrus and Papaya. For daily Vitamin C rich foods, consider Leafy Greens, Broccoli, Tomato, Snow Peas, Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Bell Peppers and Parsley.</p>
<p>The amount of vitamin C we require these days is considerably more than in previous years, due to elevated demands of stress, higher toxin exposure and compromised digestive capacity. Achieving sufficient dosages can be quite tricky. Both Magnesium and Vitamin C are hydrophilic, which means they have an osmotic ability to attract &amp; absorb fluid. They are so effective that they are utilised as a healthy laxative alternative. Therefore, bowel tolerance will limit the amount we can absorb digestively.</p>
<p>Intravenous Vitamin C (available at BGH) is the gold standard for by-passing bowel tolerance to achieve medicinal levels in the blood. However, the newsflash is about a new nutritional technology that has produced Liposomal Vitamin C, which delivers ascorbic acid in a micro-lipid form. This form vastly improves assimilation and absorption rate, much higher up in the gastrointestinal tract. This new form of Vitamin C is … what all the fuss is about! Giving us access to a quite higher dosage range than ever before.</p>
<p>Vitamin C has become the poster child, during these days of essential immune resilience. Ensure that it is included in your Holistic Health Plan. Due to the water-soluble nature of Vitamin C, it is perfectly safe to supplement with every day. Maintenance dose for an adult is 1000mg twice per day. If you are suffering a cold, flu, respiratory condition or cancer, increase the dose to four times a day.</p>

<p>Did you know that you could detoxify your home, emotions, and even relationship? Detox is not just purely physical cleansing only…</p>
<p>Every week I treat patients who need to detox – make their homes, bodies, and lives cleaner and more able to take on the world around them. Well, today let me talk to you about the four most important secrets that I know, which will make all the difference to you as you detox. And let’s face it – there’s no time like Spring to clean everything out and make a fresh start – in your life – and in your health.<span id="more-15665"></span></p>
<p>You see, we are all exposed to toxins every day. They are not just in the workplace, public spaces, and industrial areas – but they’re also in our homes – as well as our relationships. Toxins are present in the food that we eat, the water that we drink, and even the air that we breathe – but did you know that life stress, your relationships with others, and even your emotions can be toxic? Because we are all exposed to such a broad range of toxins continually, I recommend that we all undertake regular physical, emotional, and relationship ‘cleansing’ – or detoxing.</p>
<p>Toxins are not just inconvenient – they can make you downright sick. Asthma, cancer, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, and depression are just a few of the many diseases that are associated with exposure to toxins. In fact, I regularly see patients who present with a broad range of symptoms, and upon evaluation and diagnostic testing, we uncover strong toxic exposure. Clearing these toxins goes a long way to help them recover. That’s why I wanted to discuss my four secrets to effective detoxing with you today.</p>
<p>First and foremost, I believe that detoxing must begin with decluttering your home.</p>
<h3>1.    Declutter your home</h3>
<p>Our homes are where most of us spend much of our time after a busy day. So they must have a relaxing ambiance and should help us feel lighter, freer, more serene, and more focused. This just isn’t possible if things are cluttered. It’s important to know that detoxing is not just about what you can and can’t eat or drink, it should include every aspect of your life. And this starts with decluttering your home.</p>
<p>A cluttered home is toxic because it creates stressed feelings within us as we look at the mess and feel guilty that it’s not cleaner. Furthermore, our brains function best when our surroundings are clean, uncluttered, and organized. We process the information around us more effectively when there’s empty space and structure – it creates a sense of peace within our minds.</p>
<p>Decluttering means you are removing everything that is not necessary and anything that you don’t want anymore. As I have said in my previous articles, decluttering is the art of letting go. I know it’s difficult to let go at times, but you need to in order to give space for something better and different.</p>

<h4 style="text-align: left;"><strong>My One Key Home Decluttering Tip!</strong></h4>
<p>All that you need is an empty box to use as an “Outbox.” Place it somewhere you will often see it. Today, get one thing from your closet that you don’t need or want anymore &#8211; something you haven’t used for the past six months or don’t plan to use in the next year. Repeat this every day. When the box is full, ‘donate’ or ‘delete’ it from your life by throwing it out. <p>When you’re done cleansing your home, pay attention to your toxic emotions.</p>
<h3>2.    Declutter Your Emotions</h3>
<p>Not many of us recognise the power of our emotions in affecting our health. But think about it for a moment… Remember a time when you felt incredible love for someone else – how did you feel health-wise? I bet your health felt great! Now, what about a time when you felt self-loathing, or hatred, or some other powerful, negative emotion towards yourself or someone else – can you think of a time? As you imagine that feeling, notice how it makes you feel physically. Does it make your tummy churn? Do you feel like you’re getting a headache? Or maybe you feel stressed and unsettled. If you felt any of these types of physical symptoms – either good or bad – you’ll know the power of emotion in affecting health.</p>
<p>But what can you do to declutter your emotions?</p>

<h4 style="text-align: left;"><strong>My Key Tips to Decluttering Your Emotions…</strong></h4>
<p>I have three words for you to remember when decluttering your emotions: Forgive, Focus, and Feel…</p>
<p><em><strong>Forgive</strong>.</em> If someone has wronged you in the past, or you feel a strong disaffected emotion towards another person, forgive them (and yourself!). Take some quiet time to imagine them in front of you and ‘talk’ to them and explain to them what they did to hurt you – and how you want to declutter your emotions – and that you now want to forgive them. If you approach it authentically from your ‘heart’ – you’ll feel different – lighter and happier. If you then wanted to send them a loving card, note, email, phone call, or gift – just to send them some extra love, then do it.</p>
<p><em><strong>Focus</strong>.</em> I have a saying I use in my life and when I work with others, and it goes like this: <em>‘Where Focus Goes, Energy Flows, and Reality Shows’.</em> This means that what we ‘focus’ on, shows up in our lives. Do you focus on your ill health? Do you focus on the negative aspects of relationships with others? Do you focus on what you don’t like about yourself (or others)? If so, then your energy will flow in that direction – and the results of that energy will ‘show up’ in your life. So, decide now to focus on one new, positive, empowering, exciting, fun thing. If previously you focussed on how sick you felt – now focus on all the times you feel ok, or well, or even great. Then watch what happens… Maybe those ‘great’ times will increase in frequency and duration. Remember – what you focus on you get – so focus on positive things and these will show up in your life.</p>
<p><em><strong>Feel</strong>.</em> We can ‘boot out’ our unhelpful emotions simply by replacing them with new ones. And this is my last tip for de-cluttering your emotions – replace unhelpful, old emotions with new ones – simply by engaging your ‘feeling’ power. By this, I mean that whenever you feel a negative emotion coming into your heart, simply say to yourself, ‘What would I rather feel instead?’ Then imagine a time that you felt that new, positive emotion – and your old emotion will be given the boot and the new one will take its place. Let’s use an example: Say you’re at work and a colleague says something that’s thoughtless and it gives you a feeling of emotional hurt. Ask yourself, ‘What would I rather feel instead?’ You may want to feel: joy, or forgiveness, or compassion, or empathy, or relaxed. Then just imagine a time you felt joyful, or relaxed, etc and hold onto that emotion for a few seconds – and notice that the old emotion has been simply replaced. Kinda fun eh?</p>
<p>Now, how about a toxic relationship? Have you heard about that? It’s also one aspect of life that we need to carefully address.</p>
<h3>3.    Declutter Your Relationships</h3>
<p>All of us have relationships in our lives which we know aren’t good for us. They may make us not feel good about ourselves, cause us to feel stressed or angry, or even feel controlled by others. Well, these relationships are toxic to your health!!</p>
<p>But what can you do to declutter those relationships?</p>

<h4 style="text-align: left;"><strong>My One Key Tip For Decluttering Your Relationships…</strong></h4>
<p><strong>Cut Energetic Ties</strong>. I can almost hear you say, ‘Huh? What’s she on about?’ Let me explain… You see, we are all connected – emotionally and energetically. For example, have you ever had a time when you thought about someone and then they called you or popped in – right then? If so, you’ll understand the power of an energetic connection. In some relationships, these connections don’t serve our higher good – they simply aren’t healthy for us. We can re-define and re-set those relationships simply by cutting energetic ties – and letting them re-establish in a more positive way. This is how you do it:</p>
<ol>
<li>Imagine you and the person you want to cut energetic ties are standing close to each other.</li>
<li>Look down and see fine strands of light connecting you both together – like fine spider webs made of light.</li>
<li>Imagine telling the other person that you respect them and that you’d like to re-establish your relationship with them in a more positive way. To do so, you’d like to cut your energetic ties and allow the relationship to reset itself in a more helpful way for both of you.</li>
<li>Then imagine you have a large knife, a sword, or a pair of scissors and cut those imaginary strands connecting you both. Watch the strands fall away, disconnecting you both.</li>
<li>Then watch the other person float away – and wish them the very best.</li>
</ol>
<p>It doesn’t need to take much time – but you do need to set yourself up in a space and at a time where you can give it your full attention. Try it and see how differently you feel – and how differently they interact with you. I’ve had many patients who’ve tried this technique and as soon as they finished, they got a call from the other person. It was almost as if the other person felt that something had changed in their connection. Interesting stuff…</p>
<p>I know that today I’ve spoken much about decluttering your home, cleaning up your emotions, and addressing toxic relationships – but what about your physical health? There are so many things we can do together to help your body detoxify naturally. So, take the time to talk to your Beyond Good Health practitioner about nutritional tests and assessments, toxin analysis, and detoxifying strategies.</p>
<p>But, I wanted to share with you my <strong>Key Tip for Detoxifying Your Body – Calcium Bentonite</strong>. This if my fourth secret to powerful detoxification.</p>
<h3>4.    Deep cleanse using healing earth</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" src="https://beyondgoodhealthclinics.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Healing-clay-300x300.png" width="300" height="300" alt="" class="wp-image-15687 alignnone size-medium" style="float: left;" />Maybe you have heard about healing earth, which is 100% made from bentonite clay, potent clay that detoxifies and cleanses the gut. It enhances the overall health of the digestive system and acts at the same time as powerful antioxidant.</p>
<p>Basically, bentonite clay is made from aged and weathered volcanic ash. It has a strong negative electromagnetic charge that affects the pH level (acid-base balance) of the body. <p>These changes will impact on the way in which I care for you, as well as my availability, so I wanted to write to you directly.</p>
<h2>Reduced Clinical Hours</h2>
<p>I have been working as a doctor for over 30 years. It has been exhilarating, challenging, extremely rewarding — and also very tiring. I have had fun pioneering new innovative ways of healing the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies and exploring the latest in healing technologies and modalities. I have had the amazing opportunity of caring and supporting the health of tens of thousands of wonderful patients like you &#8211; and it’s been the greatest blessing of my life.</p>
<p>But I also need a break… During the COVID-19 pandemic, I took time out to reflect deeply on the meaning and purpose of my life and my priorities. I hope you did too.</p>
<p>I always want to give you my very best and be on the top of my game every time I have a consultation. To be able to do that for the next few decades, I need to take some time off and re-calibrate my own life. I need time to do some deep soul searching, explore some other professional interests, consciousness exploration and focus on my own personal development so that I can always be at my best for you.</p>
<p>So, to help me do this, I’ve decided to reduce the number of hours I spend in the clinic for the time being. I know that this will make it harder for you to see me in the short term, but I promise that you will continue to get all the help that you need from the amazing practitioners at Beyond Good Health that you’ve always had. You will also meet our latest member, experienced integrative doctor <strong><a href="https://beyondgoodhealthclinics.com.au/practitioners/dr-daniel-ho/">Dr Daniel Ho</a></strong> who can service all your medical needs as he has recently joined our team from Sydney. As a medical team, he and I are very aligned and share the same values. I will still be here to support you and guide you — just not as frequently as before.</p>
<p>And once I’m refreshed again and able to give you my all, you’ll see me back perhaps in a new and innovative ways.</p>
<h2>Move to more Online Consultations</h2>
<p>Over this year in particular, I’ve been exploring with a group of key patients the prospect of running an online clinic. I know that it takes time for you to drive to the clinic, wait to see me, and then drive home. I know that your time is precious to you. So, I’ve been experimenting to see if the amazing effects we’ve been able to achieve in clinic consultations are also able to be achieved in an online format.  </p>
<p>Not only have I and my patients been pleasantly surprised with what we’ve been able to achieve together, in many ways using an online consultation format has been superior to attending clinic.</p>
<p><strong>Save Money and Time. </strong>Firstly, you save a lot of time (and money) driving to, waiting at, and driving home from the clinic — many of my patients have told me that they’ve been saving 2 &#8211; 3 hours for each appointment.</p>
<p><strong>Increased Flexibility. </strong>Secondly, you have increased flexibility because you can have an appointment with me wherever you may be — on holidays, at home, overseas, in Australia — no need to carve out a big chunk of your day to allocate to coming to clinic.</p>
<p>Because of the really surprising results I’ve been getting with online consultations, and because it saves you money and time, and reduces your stress levels, I’ve decided to move the vast majority of my clinic consultations to online. It’s simple, fun and easy. So, I look forward to having my next appointment with you online.</p>
<h2>Moving Outside Medicare</h2>
<p>You may be aware that my approach to healing is very different from other doctors you’ve gone to — even other integrative doctors. This is because I always aim to achieve the greatest positive impact on your health as quickly as possible (my motto is ‘<strong><em>get you better, faster</em></strong>…). To do this, I often need to look beyond what others have explored — into areas that are to do with your emotions, your spirit, your past and even your purpose in life. To fully practice in my integrity in a way that allows me to feel relaxed, authentic and be able to explore the limits of what is possible in healing without the stress and scrutiny of regulatory bodies, I have decided that I need to move my practice outside of the Medicare system, which has been designed for conventional medical issues.</p>
<p>So, with effect immediately, I will no longer be offering consultations within the Medicare system. For you, unfortunately <strong><em>this means that you will no longer receive a Medicare Rebate for your consultations with me</em></strong>. I know that Medicare rebates help you with your family’s budget, and I know that many of us are struggling financially at present. However, I can no longer afford to risk my peace of mind to continue operating under the scrutiny of the medical system and regulatory bodies that I am no longer aligned with. In these circumstances, I can only encourage you to see <a href="https://beyondgoodhealthclinics.com.au/practitioners/dr-daniel-ho/"><strong>Dr Daniel Ho</strong></a> instead if your needs fall within the Medicare system and guidelines.</p>
<p>And I want to help you…help you get better, faster — without extra financial stress…So I have decided that if you choose to continue to see me personally, I will offer the use of my latest technology, the Timewaver Med Scans (valued at $150) for only a $50 additional charge if it is performed during your consult with me (an extra saving of $100).</p>

<p>A <strong>belief</strong> is simply a thought that you have accepted as real. The beliefs in your mind have already created the situation that you are facing now. In essence, what you believe will be true for you.<span style="font-size: 16px;"> </span></p>
<p>New science is finding that recreating your beliefs should be the very first crucial step to health. In this article, you will learn how beliefs create disease and a simple 3 steps to change them from the inside out.</p>
<h3>Beliefs Create Your Reality</h3>
<p>The beliefs held in your subconscious mind run over 96% of the situations in your life. The programs control how you see yourself and the world around you, how you walk and talk and even how much money you make. <strong>Your subconscious works 24 hours a day to create the story of your life.</strong></p>
<p>As low as 1% of your thoughts are generated from the conscious mind.</p>
<p>Research shows that it is the <strong>beliefs embedded within the subconscious mind that determine your state of health.</strong> This means that if you believe you should be sick, then you will be. If you believe you are happy, or sad, then you will be. It is the beliefs in your mind that create your state of being.</p>
<p>A single belief has the power to create disease in your life.</p>
<p>Dr. Bruce Lipton, a leading cell biologist and medical doctor, has studied the impact of the mind over the body for over 20 years. In his popular lecture ‘The Biology of Belief’, Bruce says: “The mind is the primary cause of disease on the planet today… if we all knew how to take charge of changing our beliefs, 95% of the population should be living healthy, happy lives.&#8221;</p>

<p>Would it be fair to say that with the right training, you could change your mind and change your life?</p>
<p>The only way to truly take charge of your health is to change the beliefs that have caused the disease in the first place.</p>
<h3>Where Do Beliefs Come From?</h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Many of the beliefs in the mind are preconditioned. From the moment of conception you are downloading beliefs about your environment, your identity and your role in life. These beliefs can come from:</span></p>
<ul>
<li>The mother (through hormonal communication in the womb)</li>
<li>The genetic line (through the DNA)</li>
<li>Childhood experience</li>
<li>Ancestral beliefs</li>
</ul>
<p>Up until the age of 6, children are in a trance-like state, learning new subconscious programs and absorbing information like a sponge. This is so that they can learn the best way to deal with life.</p>
<p>For example, let&#8217;s meet a boy named Tim, playing in the toy store. Tim is 6 years old, behaving noisily and demanding a toy.</p>

Can I have it now?”<br /> His mother, nearing the end of her tether, finally snaps. &#8220;<br /> “Tim, you don’t deserve a toy, carrying on like that!”<br /> Tim learns an important lesson: “You don’t deserve”, and this becomes a program in his mind.&#8221;</p>
<p>This leads to an important point: unless you have changed your beliefs during life, much of the experience that you are having right now is likely defined by the same beliefs that you formed as a child.</p>
<p>Are they serving you? Is your life working the way you want it to?</p>
<h3>How Do Beliefs Work?&#8221;</h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Beliefs only form when you take on something as being real. As a child, everything that mum or dad said probably appeared to be real. Behaviour and belief is strongly embedded by the time you learn how to independently discern which information is true. You are literally given an entire framework for how life works by the time you step into your own two shoes.</span></p>
<p>In this way, everyone sees life differently because everyone’s interpretation of life is different, based on beliefs. Unique beliefs mean unique interpretation.</p>
<p>To use Tim as an example, he went on to become the owner of a multi-million dollar international franchise, just to prove to his parents that he was worth something! Of course, none of this happened consciously. All Tim knew was an aching sensation of shame that reminded him daily that he needed to work harder, to be worth more.</p>
<p>Yet still, the belief plays in his mind. <em>“You do not deserve that.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Even with his entire business empire, Tim still FEELS unworthy. Forty years of stress and hard work have compounded and he has a heart attack on his 40th birthday.</p>
<p>Every belief drives a behaviour. If the beliefs that you have are not saying good things about you or about life, the behaviour that you create can lead to disease.</p>
<p>Our beliefs of life are the primary cause for our behaviour.</p>
<h3>The Emotional Link</h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Basically, every belief that you have is an opinion about life that you have taken to be true. So which ones are right, and which ones are faulty? Which beliefs might be creating disease?</span></p>
<p>For every issue or disease there is a particular emotional pattern that links back to the corresponding belief. This emotional pattern could be called the “emotional response” or “trigger”. <strong>A trigger is an automatic biological behaviour based on the interpretation of life by the beliefs in the subconscious mind.</strong></p>
<p>You will likely recognise a trigger as an emotional pattern that throws you off your centre. It may be anger, rage, fear or sadness. Usually a trigger will send you into a mode of protection, stress or some sort of reaction.</p>
<p>The common theme is that you don&#8217;t know why you are behaving like this, you don&#8217;t know why this is happening to you. Perhaps it even appears as normal, like you have never known any different. You don’t know why because all the reaction is happening in the subconscious, below your awareness.</p>
<p>The emotional patterns and triggers can serves as an entry point to access the programming that is running the show, so that you can see what is going on and change the beliefs that are no longer serving you.</p>
<h3>How Beliefs Affect The Body?</h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Your body is an immense and amazing community of over 50 trillion cells.</span></p>
<p>Because your subconscious mind and beliefs talk directly with your cells, you can see that your mind is like a government system for your cells. Just like a government in the real world, if the mind is good, the cells are happy. If it is full of negative beliefs, the cells are stressed and unhappy.</p>
<p>Unhappy cells riot and cause disease. The type of beliefs creating the disturbance correlate directly with the type of disease the cells create.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">For example:<br /> <em>“I am defeated” can lead to diabetes.</em><br /> <em>“I am not worthy of receiving love” can cause heart attack.</em><br /> <em>“I am unsupported” can cause lower back issues.</em></p>
<p>Can you imagine that a single negative thought could begin a spiral into disease? Yet the trick is not to go belief hunting, but to listen to your body talking and learn the beliefs that are creating the disharmony so that you can change them into something new.</p>
<p>With practice and a pure intent, you can tune in to your community of cells and ask them what they need and what they want you to change.</p>
<p>Tuning into your body is a process of quieting the mind and listening to your cellular intelligence. If you simply sit and bring the issue or disease to your mind and ask your cells what is going on, your cells will answer, directly into your mind or with a feeling or sensation in the body.</p>
<p>This process is best done in a quiet space where you will not be interrupted.</p>
<h3>Diabetes As An Example</h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Diabetes is a chronic condition that affects the production of insulin in the body. Insulin is a hormone manufactured by the pancreas to convert sugars and starches into energy. Type 1 and type 2 diabetes have no recognised cure by the mainstream medical profession.</span></p>

<p>The current recognised treatment for diabetes is the medication and/or the injection of insulin into the body, along with blood sugar level monitoring, and a balanced and healthy lifestyle. This is a band aid treatment designed to cope with the disease, not heal it. Although it has saved many lives, this treatment does not consider looking at the possible belief behind the disease.</p>
<p>To get to the cause of the issue we can study the emotional link that presents itself. We can also look at the meaning in how this occurs as particular patterns of experience in the life of the patient.</p>
<p>The lack of ability to convert sugar into energy means that the patient will likely have trouble recognising and processing the sweetness of life. Good experiences may happen around them that seem unreachable. Therefore, there will be a feeling of missing out, lack and disconnection. They may need other people or situations to point out to them that they are actually having fun.</p>

<p>In this article, I’ll share 6 ways your body can successfully fight the coronavirus. Many people worry because there are no drugs to treat the coronavirus, however, in most cases the human immune system can effectively fight off the pathogen itself.</p>
<p>For starters, a virus like the Sars-CoV-2 needs cells to reproduce. People ingest the new virus through the nose, mouth or mucous membranes. Once in the body, they can cause an infection named Covid-19 or coronavirus disease. In general, the virus is very contagious.</p>
<p>It is also evident the coronavirus is far more dangerous for the elderly. To give you an example, the recent strong outbreak in North Italy showed a mortality rate of 4%, which is higher than in South Korea. The reason for this surprisingly high percentage is that around 30% of the age population in North Italy is older than 65.</p>
<p>The following facts may also surprise you &#8211; so far, less than 10% of all infected individuals showed complications. And most of them were older than 65 and had pre-existing conditions. The average age of all coronavirus related death cases so far is 80.</p>
<p>I don’t want to overwhelm you with statistics, however, the best way to counter this current mass hysteria spread by the media is presenting clear facts.</p>
<p>Let me just recap here. The coronavirus is highly contagious, but it is evident that the progression of symptoms depends on many factors such as age group, pre-disposition of a disease, weak immune system and stress levels.</p>

<p><strong>1. Apply Common Sense</strong><br /> The best treatment is prevention. Cultivating a strong immune system before illness attacks is the best way to go. As most viral illnesses that cause outbreaks are airborne, make sure you avoid crowded and closed places. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom. When you are in public places, avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.</p>
<p><strong>2. Stay Calm and Relaxed</strong><br /> Don’t pay too much attention to mainstream media as their profits feed on easy clickbait headlines spreading fears and bad news. We all know stress weakens your immune system. Practice meditation and deep relaxed breathing. Mindful practices such as Qigong, TaiChi or Yoga are great to balance and strengthen your energies and immune system. In the end, laugh more, and worry less.</p>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>Anxiety is one of the most common mental health issues in our modern living.   When I started practicing psychological counselling 20 years ago, the majority of my clients had depression issues.  In the last 5 to 10 years I have seen a significant increase in patients with Generalized and Social Anxiety.</p>
<p>Personally, I believe that our society’s rapid changes along with the high tech developments over the last few decades have played a major role in the epidemics of anxiety. There is no doubt the Information high technology and computerisation have brought us much convenience in life. In a way, it has also broken down the cultural barriers between countries and people, giving us a sense of “oneness” as a global village.   However, the flip side to such rapid changes is that we are forever inundated with huge amount of information, rapid changes in trends within a much shorter time frame force us to readjust. These changes often spin us off our sense of balance and control. The result is &#8211; anxiety.</p>
<p>As our daily living are strongly linked and influenced by I.T. and other high techs, our modern human behaviours and expectation seem to mimic the computer, making our living quite “robotic”. With the invention of ‘Photoshop’  and many other intelligent programs,  we now can easily touch up our images to make them “perfect”  and  “impeccable” within split seconds. However, in reality, to achieve such a “flawless” body shape and image is literally impossible, or that it takes a long time.  The over-emphasis on  speed,  image,  perfection,  goal-driven orientations in life often leave us  feeling  “inadequate”,  “guilty” and “highly strung” with  “high control” which results in us feeling  “embarrassed” and “out of control”.</p>
<p>In one documentary, it is reported that in Seoul, South Korea, there are around 500 cosmetic surgery shops alone!  With social media, we invite family and strangers the same into each other’s privacy, only to be obsessed and become even more paranoid about others’ opinions. With many public-media’s  manipulated “overnight success stories”, we create a whole generation  believing that “taking short cuts” and “over-ambition” are the way to go in life which can  result in confusion,  disillusion and  panic leading us to taking even more control, being even more highly strung and anxious as a vicious cycle.</p>
<p>In addition to the above factors, it is not uncommon that after prolonged or a series events of unresolved trauma of loss, grief, sickness or abuse that the survivors feel a complete loss of faith in life that they develop severe anxiety and panic attacks.</p>

<h3><strong>Common symptoms of Generalized anxiety (anxiety without specific reasons) include:</strong></h3>
<p>&#8211; Excessive worrying<br /> &#8211; Negative dwelling<br /> &#8211; Exaggerated  or over-generalized fears with anticipation of  worse-feared scenarios<br /> &#8211; Fear or worry-induced symptoms such as headache, dizziness, shortness of breath, dry throat, dry mouth,  chest pain,  pounding heart,  stomach  discomfort or pain,  nausea,  vomiting,  diarrhea,  sweating,  shaking,  physical  numbness,  tingling, cold chills , hot flushes,  fears of dying, fears of going crazy  etc.</p>
<p>While most of us enjoy the convenience  of self-diagnosis through Google; to avoid inducing further unnecessary anxiety,  it is  strongly recommended that a consultation with a qualified mental health professional is a must for any proper diagnosis and needed  treatments.</p>
<h3><strong>The following are a few simple tips for early signs of mild anxiety:</strong></h3>
<ol>
<li>Cultivate self-acceptance to replace the “fault-picking” “lack-focus” and “criticism of self and others”.</li>
<li>Realistic expectations to counter –balance the perfectionistic traits.</li>
<li>Make conscious efforts to keep away from toxic environments whether that be mentally, emotionally and physically.</li>
<li>Use “telescopic view” to replace “microscopic view” in life – e.g. Ask yourself, “If I were to to review this event or situation on my death bed, would it carry the same significance? Or do I have other better priorities to attend to for wellbeing and happiness?”</li>
<li>Prioritise important things in life by keeping it simple to match the core values meaningful to you</li>
</ol>
<p>Whilst the above simple tips may help to ease anxiety symptoms to some degree, the underlying causes of anxiety vary from case to case, therefore it is important to seek further professional psychological guidance and support to address unresolved trauma, loss, grief, bullies, and physical, emotional or sexual abuse as applicable.</p>
