If you haven’t heard of Pentatonix, then now would be a great time to figure out who they are. Arguably the most popular “instrument free” musical artists around right now, Pentatonix first came to fame a while back when they won season 3 of NBC’s The Sing-Off. Since then their stardom has skyrocketed, and now they are bringing their unique show to Hawaii with a performance at the Republik. Pentatonix is a unique name for sure, but many who know music will realize that the group named itself after the world’s most widely recognized five-note musical scale. The group has been exploding over the last year, with tour dates all over the country. However, they are gaining even more steam with their YouTube videos, which are some of the most unique and soulful covers around. We have put a couple of their most popular ones below so check them out. Five group members make up the band, including lead vocalists Scott Hoying (21), Kirstie Maldonado (20) and Mitch Grassi (20), vocal bass Avi Kaplan (23) and beatboxer Kevin “K.O.” Olusola (24). Over 300 Will Lose Jobs as Sears Ala Moana Closes Early

Sears in Ala Moana is being forced to shut down operations over six months earlier than originally thought. The owner of Ala Moana Center is forcing the issue because they want to tear down the 300,000 square foot space. With this closing over 300 people will lose jobs, which is a devastating blow for our already fragile economy.
