Hey folks, Ben here just updating the news feed so you know the site isn’t dead. We are trying to get the comic kicked in the butt and back into action but it’s a bit hard to do when the writer is the one with all the free time, not the artist. We’ve got quite a script bank built up and all we need is free time for Sarah to draw it in. As she mentioned before if anyone has any interest in doing guest art or guest pages we will be more than happy to put it up if you send it to one of us, other then that I can’t put a date on when we’ll be updating again. It all depends on when Sarah’s work schedule allows or I suddenly develop the artistic skills to convert my scripts into pages.

Sorry again for the massive amount of fail we are displaying here, and we appreciate those of you who do keep checking in here.

Hey folks, just a quick note that we will not be stopping the comic. It’s on a bit of hiatus. Between the end of the school year and change of living situations for Ben and the possibility of my mystery illness being fibromyalgia, it’s been a little crazy.

If anyone has any fan art or fan comics they’d like to submit, please email it to me (sarah@paintthefence.com) or Ben (ben@beyond-rapture.com) and we’ll get it posted!

UPDATE: Had doc appointment today and got painful fibromyalgia test done. Seems to be pretty certain that’s what’s been plaguing me for the last year. Now that I have a diagnosis, my doctor and I can begin working on managing it. Means the next 3-6 months could be hell adjusting and tweaking medication and monthly doctor visits. Again, I deeply appreciate the wonderful support and words of encouragement and we work through this.

So we’ve missed two updates again and I’m here to give you the lowdown on why.

Sarah’s work issues although not totally resolved have reached the point where they aren’t beating her brains out. What has her stuck now is, as usual for this site, medical issues. I’m not gonna go into details, but I will say that it is a physically painful issue.

Not that it affects the comic in any way, but I haven’t been pushing Sarah to draw because I’ve been having problems  of my own. Long story short I got kicked out of my apartment by a crooked landlord and got scammed out of some money by a fake charity organization. No good deed goes unpunished, amiright? Anywho, I did manage to find a new apartment on such drastically short notice but it is a complete and utter shithole of a place.

I would love to tell you all when I thought the comic would be back on track but I have no idea. It’s all up to when Sarah feels up to doing it again.

WIP at the moment

Page should be up late Thursday night-early Friday morning, west coast time.  Things are still… hectic and becoming more so rather rapidly.  This coming page is pretty detailed to top it off, so taking a bit of time to complete.  I’ll at least post a WIP before I go to bed tonight if I don’t finish it.  Check my Twitter for possible ustream links.

Just to let you guys know what’s been going on. I’m looking at being demoted at work because I failed a supervisor personality test and can’t retake it. It’s extremely frustrating, disappointing, and like there’s been a glass ceiling placed over my head.

To spare you much more details, I’ve been under a lot of stress trying to save my position and non-paying things like webcomics have been pushed to the back burner. I’m going to get some sketches up, but it’s been difficult to be creative lately. And I’m sick now to top it off.
