Thomas Gunn Miniatures has two new collections they are launching with new pieces this January 2012. Thomas Gunn Miniatures is launching a Napoleonic collection and a WWI collection to kick off 2012. The first piece of the Napoleonic collection is a RHA Crew with Rocket Launcher Set, which is available for $72.00. This piece can be seen and pre-ordered today here: NAPS001(A). The new WWI pieces includes a really nice Lawrence of Arabia figure. The figure is available for $95.00 USD. We have just gotten in John Jenkins Designs December 2011 miniatures new release. John Jenkins has added pieces to their Knights of the Sky, Battle of the Plains of Abraham, and 1st Sudan War collections.

New to the Knights of the Sky collection, John Jenkins designs has added a new WWI plane and a set of pilots for the Fokker Dr1 planes that have been released to date. The new plane is a Fokker Dr1, 213/17: JASTA BOELCKE, 1917. The Fokker Dr1 (ACE-11) is available for $208.00 and can be seen and purchased here: ACE-11. Thomas Gunn Miniatures has released 8 new pieces just in time for the holiday season. As with all Thomas Gunn Miniatures, the pieces are extremely limited with only 200 pieces of the A variation and 120 pieces of the B variations.

Thomas Gunn Miniatures added a new pieces to their Gunn Club collection of individual figures. The Gebirgsjager Sniper is available today for $32.00 USD. The Winter variation is limited to 100 figures, can be viewed and purchased here: GEB001. The Spring 1945 version is limited to 200 figures and can be seen here: GC009.

Thomas Gunn has also added a new set of figures to the Allies WWII collection with an American Mortar Team of two figures for $69.00 USD. The piece comes in two variations, the 82nd Airborne - ATW001A, limited to 200 figures and a set of Mohican Mortar troops - ATW001B, limited to 120 figures. John Jenkins Designs: New Figures

We recently got a few new pieces from John Jenkins Designs. There are a few more new pieces on the way as well, which should arrive later this month. There was a number of additions to various John Jenkins Designs Collections.

New to the WWI Aces collection is the German Mechanic and Oil Cart which can be seen here: GGC-03. The German and Oil cart are a nice addition to go with your favorite plan and come together for only $60.00.

The Nashorn was an effective, light armored, anti-tank vehicle with a PAK 43 Anti-Tank Gun. After its production in 1943 it remained in service for the German military through the remainder of WWII. The Nashorn was the predecessor to the more heavily armored Jagdpanzer IV, that carried a less powerful anti-tank gun, but was more heavily armored. John Jenkins Designs: Spanish Civil War and More

John Jenkins Designs: SCW-01

John Jenkins Designs has just shipped their June release of figures, they will be available at www.BgsToySoldiers.com this weekend. In this release, they have created a new vehicle as part of their Spanish Civil War collection. The Lancia 1ZM Armoured Car, SCW-01, pictured above will retail for $158.00 and is not limited.

The Lancia was the most important Italian armoured car of the First World War - it was built in some numbers and used against the Austrian and later German forces on the front on the north-east borders of Italy. Some were captured by the Germans and used to equip some armoured car units of their own, and Lancia armoured cars were used to train and equip American troops in Italy.
The basis of these cars was the Lancia 1Z 25/35-h.p. light truck chassis with pneumatic tyres, dual at the rear. The construction of the armoured cars was undertaken by the Ansaldo engineering firm, of Turin, and the vehicles were, in fact, sometimes known as Ansaldos or Ansaldo Armoured Cars.

A special feature also used in other Italian armoured cars was the rails, incorporating wire cutters at the tip of the rails, to enable the vehicle to pass through wire obstacles stretched across roads. The Lancia armoured car had a roomy hull (of chrome-nickel steel) and this was needed to accommodate the large crew consisting of the car commander, driver, three gunners and a mechanic.

The car weighed about 3950 kg. loaded including 25.000 rounds of ammunition. The engine of about 60 b.h.p. (35 h.p. nominal) gave a maximum speed of 70 km/h and the car had a circuit of action of about 500 km's. It had a crew of 6 men. The length was 5.240m, the width 1.9m, the height 2.89m, and the wheel base 3.570m.

A company of armoured cars were sent to Spain in 1936. These vehicles were used by the Italian forces during the attack on Malaga, where two platoons of armoured cars were deployed as well as three companies of light tanks.
