4 Examples that Violate Human Rights

Dear Christians, we must speak God's loving truths to a lost and dying world.

True believers don’t distort Scripture to fit culture. They stay alert so they can recognize Satan's schemes (1 Peter 5:8).

They speak truth graciously but unashamedly (2 Corinthians 4:2; Luke 9:26; Romans 1:16).

Let these Canadian* examples warn you of what's beginning to happen worldwide:

☑ A school board member was “fined $750,000 for expressing opposition to the promotion of trans ideology in schools.” This money was distributed to LGBT teachers in the district for “injury to their dignity, feelings, and self-respect.” (source)

☑ A woman was fined $10,000 for expressing concerns about her trans friend’s surgery to remove her breasts. (source)

☑ A Montreal beauty salon was forced to pay $500 to a non-binary activist because they advertised men's and women's haircuts. (source)

☑ A woman was fined $8000 for using “she/her” instead of “they/them” with a co-worker. (source)

It's okay to silence Christians and show disrespect for our core values, but it's unlawful to disrespect or silence LGBTQ core values.

We’re in the midst of a battle. We must firmly stand our ground against “the devil’s schemes,” being prayerful and alert (Ephesians 6:10-18).

“You will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.” Jesus, Matthew 10:22

Let's be alert to the warning signs and faithful in prayer, standing firmly to the end!

3 Paths to Self-Deception

There are a number of paths to self-deception and self-destruction, but these three are very popular:

1. Hearing but not obeying God's Word

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” James 1:22-25

2. Excusing sin in ourselves and in others

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10

“Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

3. Thinking too highly of ourselves

“If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves.” Galatians 6:3

When we become self-deceived in any area of our lives, we make wrong choices and damage our souls. Let's carefully examine ourselves to make sure we are not headed for spiritual trouble:

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7

Things Look Different from a Heavenly Perspective

To see things from a heavenly perspective means viewing them in the light of eternity. This earthly life is brief—like a vapor (James 4:14).

People often ask why there is so much evil in the world, and many blame God. Yet they fail to recognize that our sin brought corruption into the perfect world God originally created.

But God, in His mercy, provided a solution for humanity through Jesus Christ. He died for our sins to restore our fellowship with God and to give us the hope of eternal life with Him—a life free from the presence of evil.

I once saw an illustration of a long rope. A tiny portion at one end was colored differently, representing our earthly life, while the rest of the rope symbolized eternity. Compared to eternity, this life is incredibly short.

God’s priorities are always centered on eternity. It is more important to Him to shape our character and teach us to live godly lives than to remove our problems. Our eternal destiny matters more to Him than our temporary comfort—even physical healing.

When we begin to see life from His perspective, our problems will seem less significant. We will understand that His purpose is to make us more like Jesus—to follow His will, obey Him, and remain faithful to the end (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).

Even if we don’t understand everything now, one day we will (1 Corinthians 13:12). Until then, let us renew our minds (Romans 12:2) and choose to see life from God’s perspective.
