Big Brother Returns In 2012

CBS wants more of those great Big Brother ratings. The “eye” network has ordered up Big Brother 14 for a July 2012 premiere after seeing an increase in ratings going up to beat the numbers all the way back since 2004. That’s pretty good!

Of course we won’t know much about the new season until it arrives but here’s what we do know. Big Brother likes to repeat things that work well for ratings. If bringing back Vets last season shook the house then I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened again.

I think we can write off seeing another All-Stars season anytime soon since most of the recent seasons’ players who would have come back where just there this summer! Could we really put together a group of 14 recent HGs without those 6? Sure, I guess so. But would it be any good? Ehh…

So if you’re feeling lucky and possibly want to fend off potentially returning Vets then grab the Big Brother 14 application and get to work. You’ve got almost a full eight months until casting lock down in May 2012.

The Big Brother 9 season has wrapped up and it is time to look ahead at Big Brother 10.

We’ll be providing all the same great details and news for BB10 as we did here for BB9, but now we’ll of course be at Big Brother instead. In the mean time, keep chatting with other friends in the Big Brother Forum which will transition over to the new site later this summer.

I also just read that ABC has turned down “Golden Cage” another Big Brother style reality TV show from the same creator, John De Mol. It sounded pretty crazy to me. I think I’ll stick to Big Brother.

Big Brother 9 Winner Adam Backtracks On $100K Charity Donation

Looks like you can replace “heart of gold” with “tongue of silver” for Big Brother 9 winner Adam. Since the jury Q&A when Adam told his evicteed HGs that he planned to give $100K to charity, while soon-to-be loser Ryan said he’d get something nice for Jen, the plans seem to have changed.

According to BuddyTV, Adam has now decided against making that very large donation to his charity organization. Instead he plans to talk with some financial advisers and decide how to invest his winnings, which I’ve read come out to closer to $250,000 after taxes.

I can’t say that I’m surprised. There’s no rule against lying about certain things and not others. It was what the jury wanted to hear and it at least helped his 6-1 win over Ryan. Maybe he can make it up in Big Brother 14 spoilers later next year.

*Update*: I’m recapping tonight’s live finale here in the BB9 Forum.

Big Brother 9 all comes down to this. Tonight we’ll see the season finale of BB9 where either Adam or Ryan will be crowned the winner of a half million dollars. My immediate reaction to this Final 2 was that Ryan would win it, but I’m no longer confident at all in that assessment and have changed my prediction. But my big question is, if Adam wins this season will he still open his “salon”??

It all comes down to this. Only Adam and Ryan are left in the house after Wednesday’s exciting live eviction. CBS has announced that the tenth installment in the Big Brother series will launch in mid July!

Big Brother 9 is wrapping things up tonight with the conclusion to the three part HoH competition. Last night on BB9 we saw Sharon evicted and the start of the pre-recorded HoH comp.

The first 2 parts of this competition are already over (those spoilers can be found here), but the third and final part will be played out live tonight. Following the conclusion to the HoH comp we’ll also have a live eviction which will determine the Final 2.
