Here are some fun letters that spell Happy Halloween.

Click on the tab in the right sidebar to download these three printable files, in either jpg or png format.

I made a banner using these, cutting out each letter and backing it with a layer of designer scrapbook paper and a layer of cardstock. You could also use old book pages that you've stained or stamped, to give a bit of texture.

I strung mine horizontally, but vertical could also work well if you have a narrow bit of wall. Have fun with these, and please visit my Etsy Shop, Digital Antiques, for lots more Halloween images - it's my favorite Holiday!

We are finally just about done with clearing the fallen trees and limbs that came down during the ice storm. We took advantage of some dry, sunny weather to till the vegetable garden and get it going for the summer. I can already imagine those tomatoes and the fresh corn. Yum!

There are two new Instant Downloads available in my Etsy Shop this week.

These vintage Airplanes and dashing Pilots can be used for Journal spots, tags and cards - think Father's Day. There are eight different Post Cards, and you can see them all here.

New Spring Medley Designs

I'm certainly ready for Spring this year, after the cold, snow and ice we've experienced. We had a huge ice storm at the end of February, with terrific damage to trees and power lines. There are trees down all over the farm, with months worth of work ahead. So some lighter, brighter Spring colors are really appealing right now!

These new designs will work well for the Easter season and on into the year, and should be really fun for Rabbit lovers.

Free Spring Alphabet

I'm slowly getting back to creating, after some long needed back surgery. I'm able to be up and doing things, but need to be careful for the next 3-6 months, which I'm finding is not my nature at all.

I have a new freebie for you, an alphabet with a distinct Spring feel. I hope it will be fun for you to use for monograms, stationery, gift cards, scrapbooking, or whatever you can think of. It's available for you to download using the tab on the right side of the blog page. I've made both .jpg and .png files available for you. Just remember, freebies are available for a limited time, then they're gone, kind of like the seasons. So download them to your computer now and enjoy using them.

Next, I'm getting to work on new designs for Spring. February weather here on the farm can be very cold and wintry, so it's nice to sit inside and think of Spring. I hope the weather is being kind to you, wherever you are.

It's time again for the traditional free Christmas Tags from Digital Antiques. It seems strange to call them traditional, but this is the fifth year I've offered free printable tags for you to download and print. Clicking on the Free Tags tab in the right sidebar will take you to the files in Box.com, and you can download from there. I've provided two kinds of files for you to use, jpg and pdf. Please be aware that these tags are available for a limited time, certainly until the end of the year, but when they're gone they're gone.

If you've never downloaded printables before, this is a good way to try out the concept. Of course I would love it if you would decide to visit the Digital Antiques Etsy Shop as well.

As I write this, very cold weather is slipping into Tennessee, with snow forecast for tonight. I'm so glad that all my animals have a place to stay out of the weather. Donkeys are tucked in the Barn, with fresh water and hay, and the dogs are curled near us in the house.

It's promising to be a long winter this time, and the Dog and I hope all of you and all your families will be safe and warm throughout.

I have to apologize for such a long absence. This year has been interesting for us, to say the least. I don't usually blog about personal things, but we discovered in March that my Hubs had a brain tumor. He had surgery to remove it in April. Thankfully, it was not malignant, and the surgery went very well. Anyone who has been involved in rehab from brain surgery will understand why my focus has been elsewhere these past months. Happily, he is back to very near his normal personality and activity, and I am back to designing printables, and sewing quilts.

New for Christmas 2014 is this large, ready to frame, Christmas Collage. I've had a lot of requests for larger designs, so expect to see them from now on.

This sweet little Christmas girl and her snowflakes come in two sizes, 8" x 10" or 4" x 6". Beautiful to frame and hang. Available through Etsy here.

Also new for Christmas this year are these Santas. I love them in the soft, Ecru tones, so subtle.

The Holidays are on the Way!

It seems like Thanksgiving and Christmas will be upon us before we can catch our breath. Our weather has been reminding me that Winter is close, too. We've had two nights of hard freezing, and the last of our green tomatoes are ripening in the kitchen. I've been dividing my time between graphics and quilting, and I hope to have some new quilts to share before long.

I've just finished these Christmas tags, which should be great for all your gifts, and also for invitations or scrapping.

I've also created some free Thanksgiving Tags for you to download.

It's hard to believe it will soon be September, and that another Summer has come and gone. Our weather here on the Farm has been very different, with so much rain and such cool temps it has seemed more like a long, extended Spring. Nevertheless, the leaves are beginning to change, and mornings can have a bit of a Fall feeling. Can Halloween be far away? Never for me, since it's my favorite of Holidays.

This year, as my Halloween Treat for you, I couldn't resist sharing these wonderfully spooky illustrations. They were used as parts of advertising Calendars by the Antikamina Chemical Co., which manufactured patent medicines in the 19th century.

New Free Printable Bookmarks

These bookmarks are based on some wonderful antique botanical drawings.

They can be used for bookmarks, tags, or as part of a card or journal design. When I make bookmarks, I print the design on matte photo paper, then back it with a sheet of designer scrapbook paper or cardstock. I use glue stick to glue the two layers together, and then cut out the bookmark. I also like to punch a hole at the top and add ribbon or yarn to finish.
