Wrong, it is proven by scientists that social animals are more intelligent than lonely animals like the tiger, tiger's brain is 15% larger but it is not the size of the brain but what's in it, just like an elephant has a larger brain then a human and are not smarter than humans but do have a very good memory just like tigers.
Tigers do not need to hunt in groups because the jungle where they live they can hide and ambush their prey, lion's on the other hand need to hunt in groups because the African savanna is practically open and team work is necessary, that's what makes lion's smarter than tigers because they hunt in groups when necessary and form qualitions or kingdoms.

In reply to <a href="https://bigcatrescue.org/if-a-lion-and-tiger-got-into-a-fight-who-would-win/#comment-89962">Paul Ramos</a>.

Tigers only have stronger hind legs, but the lion's shoulders are bigger creating stronger paw swipes, and no, it is the lion who is dominant when they are pitted together, especially in feeding time the male lion becomes super agresive where tigers usually back up. Lion's carry the dominant gene in captivity and that's why ligers are bigger and that's because a liger's dad is a male African lion and a female tiger, in the other hand tigons are smaller than ligers and are about the same size as a lion or a tiger, this is because the tigon's father is a male tiger and the mother a lioness.
You need to do your research and stop spreading wrong information bro.

In reply to <a href="https://bigcatrescue.org/jaguarundi-facts/#comment-68436">Ken Gee</a>.

My dad and I saw one in our backyard in north east Ocala in the early 80's
The Yard backed up to deep woods . It was a black cat larger than a domestic long body with a long tail .
It was crouched down drinking rain water off the large in ground swimming pool cover
We were in the house looking out the window during the day . Dad's immediate reaction was panic and wanted to get a shotgun . I said no need to do that ,there is no danger .We watched him for a brief moment then he disappeared back into the woods .
We use to hear strange screams at night and what I assume were calls of this cat and crashing through the woods as it was running during the day . I often think about this encounter .

Lions are better fighters than tigers and lions also have the strongest muscle percentage of any mammal so lion would win

My name is Annie R.
I have visited BCR for years. I live in Tarpon Springs Florida. I have missed being able to go see the big cats. Hearing all the stories regarding the cats were at times heartbreaking. But, then witnessing all the love and care at BCR I knew they were in the best place possible. I’m thrilled reading all about their new homes. My husband and I are retired now and like to travel in our motor home. I look forward to visiting the BCR cats at TCWR. It really bothered me when tiger king came out and so many allegations were made against Carole. I’ve always admired what she and Howard have done. They’ve been an inspiration to the Tampa Bay community. I’m super glad when all things were made true…Carole and Howard are still looked upon as amazing, good people. I will continue to support and donate to all BCR efforts, as I believe in everything BCR stands for!

Yeah, but king is always the lion. An elephant or croc can kill a lion too in one on one fight but that doesn’t make them the king. Lion is called the king cz of it's kingly nature, appearance and braveness. Lion never comes back even if he is fighting a larger and stronger animal than it. Lion actually the king for so many reasons.
