I had my interview yesterday and it went really well! I'll be working at Curves. There are three locations I'll be working at in this area....and before you ask, yes there is one in beaumont, and no I will not be working at that one...thanks.

I'm really excited. The hours are almost perfect and they all seemed really nice. I start my training on Thursday and then its work work work! I'm not sure exactly what all my duties will be right now, but I will find that out on Thursday when I get there and send yall some more updates.

The best part of this job is...i get to wear workout clothes and a t-shirt, no makeup, and no desk to sit behind (thank god!)

Now aside from the job stuff....I am also working on a new site. Its going to be a vintage scrapbooking site. So as soon as that is live I will post here for you all to check it out!

The J.O.B. update

So some of you know but some of you don't, so I'm bringing you the latest news on the job search. I know I last reported that indeed I had found a job and would start working last monday (the 3rd). However, the bird lady had flown the coop, in a manner of speaking, (and thats putting it politely).

Sooooo...I have decided to pursue other things. I have heard back last week from one place that I sent my resume too and they are very eager to meet me. This is also a much better job, I might add, than the one I would have been doing (*coughs* tweet!)

I have an interview this upcoming monday (st. patricks day the 17th), so everyone keep your fingers crossed and wish me the best please. In all honesty, I just need some help getting my other ventures off the ground while still paying my bills. So, I really hope this works out and I can do that and also work at a job that a) i like and b) is just a really good job!

Hey yall....this is something I wanted to share with yall. I know some of you will hate me for this lol...but thats ok. I came across this today after seeing the full video when it came out a few weeks ago.

I know some of you have already seen the full video but here is an explanation by Will.I.Am himself about how it came to be. I've also included another link below it if you want to see the full video. I highly recommend seeing it simply for the inspiration. If this video doesn't give you the tingles and make you a bit teary then I would suggest seeing a doctor very soon (a mental health professional!

New job and new opportunities

So as some of you know, I will be starting a new job on Monday. I'm working at an aviary, monitoring the growth of baby birds. I'm really excited, mostly because I wont have to deal with any people (hehe). Thats right...no more grumpy people on the phone to talk to all day. I am however keeping the job just for the time being to pick up a few extra hours on the weekends to supplement my income a bit.

Another exciting venture that only some of you know about: I've been working on my own website and creating a few products to sell and market through that site. This past week things have grown by leaps and bounds and I'm going to be announcing a few products that I've created very soon. You will all be the first to see them (with the exception of ebay and etsy users...so basically the whole world).

I'll be adding my listing to this page as well so you can have a look at what's available while you're here reading.

so i started my internet marketing blog. i thought i'd share a little bit about it for those that dont know what internet marketing is. i'm very new to it myself so the purpose of the new blog is show my progress, share what i know and for others to leave some tips. so, of course, it will be in a much more professional format ( i used upper case letters *gasp!*) because i want to be able to publish some of the posts eventually in article directories and such.

sooo i think its really time to start this new internet marketing thing. i'm fed up with my job and i'm really ready to make something happen here. this month i'm setting up my own scrapbook niche site. i'm really unsure of the whole html thing at the moment but i guess it will be a learning process. plus when it comes to auto responders, sales copies, writing millions of articles...i'm not too clear on that either. but...we will see how it goes...gonna build slow and of course keep you updated on the progress. check back here soon for an update and possibly a new site!

you either love it or you hate it. for the longest time i hated it. all those ppl running around with flowers and candy and me sitting at home watching tv and stuffing my face full of chocolates..that i bought for myself lol.

so i've decided this year to make the most of my alone time (even though i have someone....far far away...*miss you x*) and also to share some secrets with the rest of you.

for all those going solo this year....spread the love to your fellow singletons by sharing a smile. smilebox offers a free service that you can download and create ecards and slide shows that you can post on your own blog or even send to friends and family in an email.

sports fans raise your hands please! super bowl XLII is in less than 4 days now and there are millions of excited fans all over the country just waiting to stuff there faces with chips and dip and scream at every fumble. now if you're like me....you go only for the chips and the commercials...mostly the chips! just kidding.

SOOO! in honor of the super bowl this year, i have decided to post super bowl commercials for those of you that missed them. of course you will have to wait until they air...don't be getting too greedy on me!

ok so im supposed to be asleep right now bc i have to be up at 5 am to work. i even went to bed early just so i could get extra sleep b4 tomorrow morning...but i just cant sleep. my mind wont shut up about everything....mostly about how pathetic i have been in january. i havent done a single thing...TONS of planning....but nothing concrete. disgraceful!

SO!...i'v decided that enough is enough....seriously. my stomach is killing me tonight....another reason i cant sleep...but again my fault. ate too late and too much and i didnt go out and exercise as much as i needed to this week in order to feel better. so yea...i've had it...no more lazyness!

i really need to make some goals and hit them hard....now let me have a good think and i'll get back to you on those....

Fun and easy christmas tags

now we all know that christmas is fast approaching and we're all really concerned more about the gifts than the wrapping....but once you get all your holiday shopping done why now take a few extra minutes (5 to be exact) to spruce things up a bit? this is a great example that literally took me 5 minutes to do and cost me next to nothing to make. i started with some scrapbooking supplies that i already had laying around my craft box.

3 inches of twine
1 luggage tag
an old dictionary (falling apart)
stickers
elmers glue stick
and a black pen
..oh and my creativity!

so basically i looked through the dictionary for a word or phrase that would be appropriate for the gift i was giving. this one will be used for a ladies white elephant christmas party (these ladies meet regularly for a bible study every week)... so i chose the term good-fellowship.

i cut out the definition and and simply glued it to the luggage tag with the glue stick. this one in particular is great because it starts out dark blue and then dries clear. so if you've made any mistakes or put too much glue you can clean it up easily. then i just took some stickers that i had stashed away...these look like buttons. i used them just as a small embellishment to add some texture to the tag.

once everything was dry i wrote happy holidays on the tag and just embellished that a bit as well. this is where you get to be most creative. if your not artsy fartsy in the drawing department, you can simply use rub-on transfers...or even your computer!

last but not least i attached the twine to the luggage tag and then tied it onto the ribbon of my package.

remember this is just a very simple way to embellish your gifts and make it look like you put a lot of time and effort into your gifts ....even though you only spent 5 minutes! don't worry...i wont tell!

ok so i came to write about my new idea for the shape of this blog and got distracted by another blog lol.....i'm like Hansel and Gretel following the links all over the internet. anyway...its been a bit difficult to really have a direction for this blog. when i started i wanted this to be about anything and everything. but.....random = good, boring = bad. ALAS! i have decided to showcase a few things here. mostly some things i have been working on. hobby/creative stuff....and i'd like to showcase some others as well.

when i have the time i'm a very crafty person (no not sneaky....think gluey and glittery!) its getting close to christmas too and its about to become craft central here. so i thought....what a great way/time to showcase some of the artsy stuff i do. basically sharing my creativity with the world! (dont you feel special?!)

i never really look at the news when you first log into blogger but i glanced down tonight and saw the blog of note. it's sasha cagen's to do list blog. so i thought....ok lets have a peek just to see what it is. turns out she has now published a book of other people's to do list and the stories behind them.

i am an obsessive list maker myself...so much so that my boyfriend teases me constantly about it. i've always collected blank journals and notebooks whenever i find one i like. i save them and eventually they are all filled up with lists. i plan everything in these books from what to do that day/week/month to craft ideas, emails to return, groceries, phone calls, letters to friends that i never send....everything.

if your like me defiantly check this blog out. its so interesting (at least i think so lol) and its kinda cool to see what we all make lists about....and best of all you can see that your not the only one writing down strange things to do during your day!

The colder weather seems to have brought more yucky-ness. i'm feeling a lot worse than i was last week. and now that i have hit a bit of a plateau with my work online, i'm feeling a bit lazy. a break never hurt anyone right?! or should i really be using my free time to press onward? i thought you might say that....so i have developed a plan of action for this week....now whether it gets done or not...meh...i guess we'll see. stay tuned!

ewwww....seems i am very sick this morning. coughing all night...i've been losing my voice this past week. i really really really! dont want to get sick. plus living in an old dusty house doesnt help either....it gets harder to breathe everyday. i was hoping the cooler weather would clear that right up but it seems to have brought more problems with it. thank god for theraflu! that stuff kicks the cold bug's rear right out the door.....i'm off to go find some!

Yay! my sites are working now! there are a few that seem to be a bit of a problem but im sure a quick call to the tech ppl at my hosting company can get them fixed up nice. plus with work...i've decided to stick it out as long as possible till things start to pick up on all my other little projects. and ...its pretty much useless to contact a PAL to help....they never know what to do...so it looks like i'll be restarting my computer a lot. i guess it beats spending 3 hours trying to find someone to help me.

ok so its been waaaaay too long since i last posted and i think its time for an update. i've been working mostly on getting some niche sites up to do a google adsense experiment. so far...lots of problems and complications but i'm told that by tomorrow we shall we some results! i've also been working on my travel site a bit. trying to add more to it and get some readers. hopefully that will start coming along a lot faster once i can free up some time from my real job...bleh.

Another reason for the delay in posting...work! i work from home and i tell you....im starting to think its not even worth the trouble. the company i work for has a certain software we use to trace and record our work on. the problem is...it rarely works the way its supposed to and on top of that...when your not that technically minded...like myself..the best you can do is restart your computer to fix it. so if the problem is larger than a simple reboot....good luck trying to find someone to help you....*big frown* i wish i was more of a computer nerd so i could just do it myself. HUGE time saver and maybe...i could make more! who knows!

its finally fall here in Texas...well sorta..which means its below 90 degrees for the first time since well...last fall. And the best part is that we still have the sun since its kinda summer too. so basically...the perfect day outside at this very moment. why am i sitting here typing?! But yea, pretty much the best time of year here in Texas but unfortunately these types of days are few and far between. you have to grab them while they're here and at all costs. that includes skipping work/school/chores/homework/football practice...and the like. because seriously..if you don't go outside right now...you are wasting a perfect day and...thats no good at all. yep ok i know...i'm going right now...
