Sometimes I feel ideas starting to form but there isn't cohesion.
Like a joke without the proper punchline.

Sidebar: I am sometimes disappointed in myself for saying thoughts are personal, or this is my take, or any thing else that isn't me just stating this is true. I feel like I'm not committing enough to something that needs to be expressed by down playing it merit. I feel potential here, but am willing to acknowledge extremely rough form.

Prayers

I wanted to share a couple prayers that I use fairly regularly.
The food prayer came from KinderCare daycare at lunch time.
My typical bed-time prayer; I came up with it when I was about 10 and having trouble sleeping. It's a starting point I use if I don't know what specific things to pray about or I'm so tired I can't think about much.

I just thought I'd share and see if anyone else has prayers that that they are somewhat repetitive but they find useful. Of course prayer time needs to be authentic, intentional, and quite often topical to the situation going on through life. I try to make this heartfelt each time it's prayed, as I am wary of any form of worship that is repetitious for a religious or repetitions sake.

Food
Thank you Lord for this food.
I pray that it be a blessing and nourishment to our bodies.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Bedtime
I pray that I have absolutely, 100%, no bad dreams, thoughts or occurrences.
Please protect me from the evil of the devil, the harmfulness of man, and the destruction of mother nature.
I pray that you bless me, my family and friends, and their family and friends, and all of theirs.
Praise you Jesus, thank you Lord for all of my blessings.
Please forgive me of my sins.

The Bishop: Short film idea

I need help with this short film idea I have. Just to flesh out the ideas... it's based on a dream I had the other night.

A man of the cloth is holding a chess piece in his hand, he looks at the price for the whole set... he frowns as it is too expensive. It is a custom handmade set, metalwork pieces, fine wood or marble board. He talks to the store owner, asks if he can buy it piece by piece. They agree, so he purchases the bishop. He gets home and checks the mail, he sees a letter from the military addressed to him. He seems happy to open thinking it's a letter from his son, and then you see him become anxious and then deeply saddened... his son has lost his legs and 1 arm the letter reads. They are going to ship him home when it's safe to do so... so the man trying to resolve his faith, looks at the bishop piece as he takes it out and rubs it nervously. He's walking down the street, going to his office @ church, he sees someone in need and he helps them. He helps others to deal with his own feelings. As a couple days goes on you see him help people in and around his town in different ways. He never tells anyone what happened as he carries his burden between himself and God. And these people he helps learn of his heartbreak, and each one buys him a piece of his chess set. You see him at home looking at his chess piece and you see the past where he and his father are playing chess, and his son and a friend are playing checkers. The son smiles and looks over and runs up to his dad and asks about the game and why are there different pieces and why doesn't he jump the different colored pieces over one another. The father smiles and then you see him teaching the game over a number of years, different moves, and them getting a little older and older, and then you see the chess set being packed up and sent with his son in an army sack. Then you snap back to the present and he has a tear in his eye and wipes it away to answer the knocking at the door. One of the people bring him a chess piece, and another person, another, and the shop owner brings the board. He thanks everyone. A van pulls up, out comes his son with prosthetics. Everyone claps and then leave so they can have time together. They go inside and the man pulls out his bishop and places it on the board and asks if his son wants to play. They sit at the table and the son reaches with his arm and puts his hand on the pawn and says "It's good to be home, dad.'

Any feedback would be great, I would like to get this formatted into script form and also make this a short film for real. I know a few people, but more would be great. Thanks.

That comprises of the majority of all philosophy, secular knowledge, and detailed minutia of how the universe works at every level from micro to macro. I have wealth that eclipses that of all the kings of the ancient world. I am so consumed with entertainment that the thought of being bored is most miserable circumstance I fear. I feed into this ecosystem of human society's growth towards obesity... and I spend my time on Facebook?

Syncplicity is a PC to Cloud syncing tool that has the bonus of Google Docs integration.
I installed it to automatically download my Google Docs to my Dropbox, which would then backup to Dropbox.
Basically I just want a Google Docs desktop app that syncs to Dropbox.
If Google Docs was smarter about non-office docs and being able to display them, ie. a music / video file playing in the browser, I would be really happy. But alas, using multiple services in conjunction seems to be the web 2.5 thing right now.

Syncplicity Error
An error occurred that will shut down Syncplicity. The client reported this error to our servers. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Don't click OK, instead right-click the Syncplicity tray-icon, and click Display detailed status.
That should allow you to click Configure Syncplicity.
From there UNcheck the box for 'Display synchronization status symbols on top of file icons in Windows Explorer.

That seemed to fix the problem for me with that error. I suspect it has something to do with having Carbonite installed which also likes to put such status symbols on files that need backing up. I'm also uninstalling Carbonite because Mozy allows me to backup my external drive and has a low monthly plan of $4.95.

Doin' the Dishes

The maitenance guy came out yesterday to fix our dishwasher - scratch that - replace our dishwasher. I really like it over our old one from the other house because it doesn't drive me crazy with a loud wash-cycle. It has super-heated drying and washing modes, just it's modern and seems to do the job well. The heavy cycle did seem to take a long time to finish though, so maybe I'll try the lower settings and see if they work as well. Overall, I love this new appliance; the GE® Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher GLD4500RWW.

iPhone 4 Antennae: Whoops

iPhone 4 has notable antenna attenuation problem like other smartphones, but unlike other smartphones people cared. Apple Inc. is sending out free bumpers to anyone who wants one and refunding any monies to people who have already bought one. Furthermore, they are waiving the restocking fee if you choose to return the phone. Here's a video that pretty much sums it up, except for the additional info of free bumpers for everyone.
