Even though I have now been in America for a month, I still don't get it why they call it Football, the game in every aspect should be called Handball or Beateachotherupball or Rugby. Anyways I love reading Readers Digest and I found an article in which they explain football, very well. Girls, if you have an argument about football, read this, it helps your argument. Hope you find piece of mind with this article. link: Football: is it really a game? It tells what it does to players, what people think is a game, isn't. I can't write it here because the article can really explain better than me, it also explains why Penn captain Owen Thomas hanged himself at 21, how it was all connected to football, why Eagles safety Andrew Waters shot himself at 44 and why Dave Duerson, NFL safety, shot himself at 50. They take the brains of dead footballers and explain how they died. I bet I sound like a party breaker but its fact in there, and the more you disagree the more it proves my point. The writer tries convincing himself it's only a game but he has plenty of reason it's not and in any case I would take British Football over American football.

Have you ever wanted to do something but weren't allowed to? Well it's fine, because most of the time it's our parents warning us, but that has decreased. Why? Parents are spoiling children, giving them expensive phones or not checking on what they're doing on the Internet. Now, i know I sound just like you grandmother, but admit it... it's true. People have also been brain washed of manners, in school, in society you'll hear people say words so bad they could make a gangster blush. This is crazy! Children are acting as adults, the younger the fiercer the words are. I'm frankly ashamed of this generation and what has happened to them (yes, I'm from this generation). Whatever happened to spare the stick, spoil the kid? It's worked as a charm to anyone, but kids these days are so cunning it's like their the parents and by the saying above I don't mean they parents should beat the children, though the behaviour of children has gone to such as extent, I mean the children should know consequences but everything is like a playground these day, no seriousness.

The parents are taking orders from the children, admit it. The children don't even need to make a promise or do an extra chore or make a puppy face. Parents are 'vele' (Indian word), they're care-free, no worry in the world, just believing that their children are angels or will be angels if no pressure of discipline is put on them.

Outrageous clothes are being worn outrageous words are being said and outrageous actions are being committed. People don't get what a parents job is anymore or a child doesn't know what being a 'kid' is. They think it's being free or wild or just saying 'YOLO', its true you only live once, that's why live it as a human not a drunkard or juvenile delinquent, they don't realise that if you live once there is only little time we have so do best with it. Most people think it means get crazy or wild... well that does little help to anyone. I was reading this book 'Outsiders' this guy Bob is so spoilt, he's wild! Well, it's no surprise what happens, he picks a fight and gets himself killed.I was in a debate contest, about this issue (me vs. 14 other schools) and my line was (I wrote the debate myself :P) President Obama said "Keep your family computers in your living room, so you can see what your child is doing". Well, I like that, I'm not allowed to say 'stupid' in my house or was allowed to watch Hannah Montana and well... i grew up reading books and disciplined. Most children should look up that word it means 'mannered'. But another problem crops up, don't be too strict on your child, just enough that he/she knows the consequences and right actions and choices to take, if you're too strict they'll grow up with low self esteem and if too much a juvenile delinquent. It's a hard job parenting, but if done properly, it's worth it.

So all in all, be a good parent, to have a good child.

Missing someone?

Everyone has that feeling of missing someone. Whether it be a friend who moved to another country or a parent on a business trip, everyone gets lonely once in a while. When I went to another country as a visit and came back, I really missed my family members living in that country, all our jokes and being with them, after all it's not the goodbye that's painful its the feeling of not being with them that is. So how to stop that lonely feeling?

Well, for starters you can try to remember something he/she did that wasn't really nice or a bad habit you hated, now I'm not saying that you have to start hating them or despise them, just remember something that makes you think 'enough about him/her'
Start listening to songs, sure you already do, but whenever you get a sad attack, immediately put on headphones and zone out.
Start a new hobby, take up swimming or reading books or take advantage and start catching up on homework or studies. It'll help take your mind off depression, and you'll find a new interest and who knows makes friends because of it.
You can also write in a diary about how much you're missing that person, or tell your friend about it, but don't write too long of a diary entry just write a few lines and that's enough, everyday start minimising the number of lines to write.
But trying to stop missing someone doesn't mean to be cut off from them completely, it means to think of them occasionally but not obsessively. Start Skype, or if you have an iPhone then Viber or better yet Tango. They are really helpful to communicate with someone for free, in Viber you can talk or message someone for free if that person also has that application, in Tango you can do that and see them. Better yet you can write letters to each other. I have the perfect beginning "Missing you so much, it's like you're here". But its better if you dont tell them you miss them constantly or they'll be as upset as you.

Just remember they're probably missing you as much as you're mssing them.

Edgar Allan Poe was best know for his mystery and macabre stories and poems. I love his poem Raven. He was born in January 19 1809 -October 7 1849. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts; and also orphaned. He's know as the inventor of detective fiction genre. His wife died two years later of Raven. His death was a mystery, though people assume it was alcohol consumption or suicide. A movie was also made of him it's called the Raven, it's a really good movie, which also tell the story and events of his life, and also the reason of his death with their own story.

January 1, 2013, marks the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. One man who took full advantage of his new freedom was Jourdon Anderson, a slave who fled his abusive “Master,” Col. Patrick Anderson, in Tennessee, to settle in Ohio as a free man. Shortly after the Civil War, the colonel beckoned Jourdon back to the failing plantation. Jourdon sent a droll reply in his place.
Dayton, Ohio, August 7, 1865
I got your letter and was glad to find that you had not forgotten Jourdon, and that you wanted me to come back and live with you again, promising to do better for me than anybody else can. I have often felt uneasy about you. I thought the Yankees would have hung you long before this for harboring Rebs they found at your house. I suppose they never heard about your going to Colonel Martin’s to kill the Union soldier that was left by his company in their stable.
Although you shot at me twice before I left you, I did not want to hear of your being hurt. It would do me good to go back to the dear old home again and see Miss Mary and Miss Martha and Allen, Esther, Green, and Lee. Give my love to them all, and tell them I hope we will meet in the better world, if not in this. Who new? Street art could never be cooler! These are all I have for now.

This one holds the world record for the largest 3D street artwork measuring 1160 meters square and is 106metres long. This was made by Joe and Max who are London-based street artists.

This wonder street art was done by an insurance company known as HDI. The art looks like extremely real and shows us the creativity of the artists involved in making this.

This one is among the most incredible paintings done by Edgar Muller. His imagination is simply awesome. No one can say that this painting is artificial as it looks completely natural.

These days the number of suicides are increasing. Especially the number of teenage suicides, they keep on going up and up. It's all because of rejection or judgement that affects them. Believe it or not, we can stop it as easy as pie, we just need to understand the things going inside a brain of a teenager. In an old person point-of-view, teenagers are trouble makers, always up to no good. Well think of it, is it true? Maybe that kid fits in no where and got caught up with a bad crowd. or maybe that kid just wants to have fun, and doesn't realize that he/she is annoying you because that thing is 'really in' or maybe no one told him/her that it's mean. It could be right?

What is the first thing that comes in your mind when you look at a person with different colour hair like green with blue streaks, you mainly think "He/She must be in a gang or trouble maker", well maybe he/she just likes the way it looks. People have stories that other people won't understand.

What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you see a person with loads of tattoos? Well, I would first examine all the tattoos to see if it's not Zayn Malik hiding underneath, but otherwise you probably think they are hardcore or something. Well you could keep that in mind but maybe those tattoos represent touching moments of his/her past... maybe.

Remember, no one likes being judged. Theirs always a story behind a story.

These days its no secret that a lot of pressure is being put on girls. Usually its about their weight or the way they behave is not lady-like or something. But think about it:these days it has increased by a lot. What people don't understand is that pressure on young girls won't do much help, we girls believe that telling us easily or telling us the consequences in a nice manner can help a lot. That day I went to McDonald's on a trip to another place and a girl kept on asking for something and her mum would say "no... what about...." it made me just sad. What surprised me that I was reading Readers Digest (my fave magazine) and I read an article about secrets that fast food workers don't tell you, the things were just gross! But I read one which explained that the salad with a bit of chicken on it has as much as calories as the burger over there, why? Well it said something about the salad covering being really heavy. Shocker!
I don't know if you watch Bollywood stuff, but if you do you know Kareena Kapoor?She is a size 0. What's her diet? Eating every 2 hours (something healthy), don't believe me? Check out her dieticians book. It will tell you in detail. I eat meat but I didn't used to eat red meat, I got a problem with my tongue, it was horrible, it still stings whenever I eat. Another thing to notice is the models and actresses you see are not slim, they're usually skinny. But being fat or skinny, both are health issues, but yet when someone explains how skinny you are, you usually feel flattered. Why? Probably because of the stuff we're getting taught. Plus models and actresses are being paid to stay pin-thin. I would happily do that if I was paid over a million dollars.
In my religion they tell how to maintain health what to eat or not, I read that 'eat one-third of what you can eat, drink one-third of what you can drink and leave the rest for air, so you can have a straight posture.' And it was proven medically healthy. Our you can drink 2 glasses of water before eating to reduce 41% of body fat.

But the whole reason of this blog is not to tell you to stay real fat or over weight, I mean staying the right weight is always good and healthy. But never take it too seriously, because our body likes to get fed properly, no stomach deserves starvation, but no stomach deserves to be over filled.
