Cosmetic Surgeries to bollywood Actress

2011-05-31T00:49:00.000-07:00

Michael Jackson was known for his obsession with cosmetic surgeries that brought about drastic changes in his appearance from time to time.
Our Bollywood celebrities are also no less daring when it comes to going under the knife, and quite literally. A lot of actresses have undergone cosmetic surgery and enhance their looks. This is what the actresses looked like before and after their
respective surgeries.

Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa shetty has reportedly has had, not one but two nose jobs done. And we all know that Shilpa Shetty was never so breathtakingly beautiful. Cosmetic surgery changed the course of her looks and, of course, her then sinking career.

Priyanka Chopra

Ex Miss World, Priyanka Chopra has never spoken about her changed looks. When she entered the industry, she had quite a fat nose which, not very surprisingly, became slimmer. We assume this change was not owing to her slender rise to superstardom and, probably, a cosmetic surgeon should be credited for this.

Kangana Ranaut

The pressure of the growing demands of the industry apparently consumed Kangana too as she went ahead for the enhancements of her ‘assets’. She was also seen with fuller lips in her recent movie which can be attributed to the same.

Shazahn Padamsee

After her very first film, Shazahn sported much poutier lips than she ever had. She apparently wasn’t satisfied with her innocent looking face and opted for a sexier avatar. We here think she looked much better without the dramatic pout.

Koena Mitra

Koena’s was a much public and embarrassing outcome of cosmetic surgery. The process of making her a princess backfired with Koena looking like the evil witch herself. In fact Koena’s beautification surgery gone horribly wrong will probably serve as a deterrent for many who are desirous of going under the knife.

Preity Zinta

Preity has come a long way from the ‘bubbly’ girl that she was. She has, reportedly, undergone a nose job, brow lift and face structuring. Her face is much sleeker now and she looks much graceful now.

Minissha Lamba

Another young victim falling prey to cosmetic surgery is Minissha Lamba. She too seemed to be fed up with her girl next door looks and narrowed down her nose for a sexier look. The action did not bring any positive results for her career as she still has only a few films in her kitty.

Rakhi Sawant

Rakhi Sawant has had many nips and tucks here and there, and that too, quite often. From silicon implants to nose jobs and lip enhancement, she has done it all. Sadly, the results are anything but positive.

As you can see in the pic above, Mallika has gone topless for the mag cover.

Katrina Kaif signed up for Dhoom3

2011-02-10T07:35:00.000-08:00

The news of Aamir Khan being roped in to play the villain in Dhoom 3 was a rage last week. However, the big question since then has been, who will be signed as the lead actress opposite him. Though a number of names were being tossed around by the media, Bollywood Today has learnt from its sources that Katrina Kaif will be playing the female lead in Dhoom 3.

Katrina, who is currently doing YRF's Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, has beaten the other contenders to clinch the role.

Though the rest of the cast, namely Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra remains unchanged, Aamir and Katrina's addition to the cast certainly heats things up. Considering the chemistry between Aamir and Katrina, the duo has put all questions to rest, with their photographic rendition of the classic film Pyaasa that garnered positive response from fans and industry folk alike.

Bollywood Today has also learnt from its sources that Aamir won't be charging his usual fee for D: 3. Instead, he will have a stake in the profits of the film. To be precise Aamir will have a total of 33% stake in the profits of the film. This will be the first time that YRF has permitted such sharing. However, though this may be a first for the production house, Aamir has cut down his share from the usual 40% that he had for the film 3 Idiots.

When we contacted, Rafiq Gangjee from YRF replied, "The casting for the girls of Dhoom3 has not started. Also, YRF does not discuss artist contracts and agreements."

While Aamir's publicist said, "The 33% profit sharing ratio is not true, besides we do not have any profit sharing ratio with YRF as such. While on the remuneration i will not comment."

While Yash Raj Films refrains to comment on this, we can safely bet that with Katrina being signed on for Dhoom: 3, and Aamir adding another shade to the film with his talent, the high octane torque film promises to be more than just fast bikes.

Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor most wanted celebs for Valentine's Day date

2011-02-10T07:22:00.000-08:00

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have topped a list of Bollywood actors with whom young boys and girls respectively would like to go on a Valentine's Day date, while Shahid Kapoor was declared the sexiest male star in a poll by a movie portal.

Ranbir received 39.4 percent votes, while Shahid followed close on the heels with 37.7 percent votes from female fans. Imran Khan, who recently tied the knot with Avantika Malik, is on number three with 15.9 percent votes. The minimum votes were cast in favour of Ranveer Singh of 'Band Baaja Baaraat' fame and dimpled boy Abhay Deol, who rounded up the top five with 4.5 and 2.5 percent votes respectively.
Among the females, Katrina took away the lion's share with 35.6 percent of the votes. The second most wanted Bollywood girl, according to the poll, is Deepika Padukone at 22.4 votes, followed by Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor with 17.5, 12.4 and 12.1 votes respectively.
The poll was conducted with over 2,500 respondents from Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

Kunal and me have our parent's approval: Soha Ali Khan

2011-02-10T04:45:00.000-08:00

Actress Soha Ali Khan, who's been dating co-actor Kunal Khemu after doing a movie together, admits that she's ready to settle down in a “couple of years”.

“I am in a comfortable space. We (she and Kunal) are both independent with our careers going well. We have met each other’s parents and have their approval. I think I’ll be ready to settle down in a couple of years,” says Soha candidly.

Isn’t she afraid of losing out on plum projects after marriage? “Why should I? Look at my mom (Sharmila Tagore), she had her biggest hits after marriage. If she is said to be an exception, then I would also like to be an exception like her,” says the actress.

The Pataudi girl is now keen to master cooking, especially to graduate from cooking stir fried chicken to mutton rogan josh.

“Kunal loves good food, and I know to cook just a couple of dishes. I can make stir fried chicken, which I think he likes, but I have made a resolution to learn to cook more dishes, especially rogan josh and Kashmiri dum aloo,” she says.

Though Soha admits to her shortcomings when it comes to cooking, she reluctantly admits to having the upper-hand in the relationship, especially in an argument.

“If I am angry then I can really say hurtful things. It’s something I don’t like about myself. I never raise my voice when I am angry, but simply cut off or answer in monosyllables. This is one aspect that Saif (Ali Khan) and I have got from dad… we would laugh when mother would fret and shout in anger, but with dad (Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi) it was different — we would simply freeze in fear,” she reveals adding, “But Kunal is generally chilled out about everything."

But didn’t Saif say that he’ll get married before Soha as he’s the elder brother? “That was just a tongue-in-cheek answer. Besides, if he takes 10 more years to get married, do you think I am going to wait for that long?” she counters.

2011-02-02T09:08:00.000-08:00

Bollywood's season of patchups sure hit its highest point this past weekend when Kareena Kapoor and her former flame Shahid Kapoor were spotted chatting at an awards function.Ever since they broke up in 2007, Kareena has been studiously avoiding Shahid at public events, leave alone talking to him. Subsequently, Shahid moved on to his current heartthrob Priyanka Chopra , whose cold vibes with Kareena are only too well known. Kareena, on her part, found steady love in Saif Ali Khan.Last weekend's incident has therefore made the industry sit up and take notice. The grapevine is already abuzz with one question: does it mean Shahid and Kareena are about to sign a new film together, much against what Saif or Priyanka would tolerate? At the awards' do, Kareena was making an exit from the hall after performing live on the stage.Shahid was having a conversation with Shah Rukh Khan just outside the stage. Onlookers expected Kareena to ignore Shahid and walk past the two actors. However, she chose to stop by and started chatting them up. "Kareena actually stopped because of Shah Rukh. You don't just ignore SRK and walk past him. Since Shahid was also around, she might have conversed with him for the sake of courtesy," says a source who witnessed the incident. So, after exchanging pleasantries, Kareena struck a conversation involving both SRK and Shahid. "They seemed in a jovial mood. Kareena was happy because her just-concluded performance had rocked. Shahid looked pleasantly shocked when Kareena spoke to him," said the source. The vibes between Kareena and Shahid have gone worse over the recent past because she and his girlfriend Priyanka have been regularly engaged in taking potshots at each other in the last few months.

Shahid Kapoor finds in Priyanka Chopra's home

2011-01-27T05:55:00.000-08:00

Income Tax officers, who went to raid Priyanka Chopra's home yesterday morning, were in for a surprise when they were greeted by Shahid Kapoor clad only in his shorts.
For a moment, they thought they had knocked the wrong door. Apparently, Shahid left the house soon after.

"Shahid was at Priyanka's house, but he didn't open the door. She has servants, so why would he open the door? Shahid had spent the night at Priyanka's place and she had come from walking the ramp at a fashion show for Shabana Azmi. The two are trying to spend as much time together before Priyanka starts the promotions for her movie Saat Khoon Maaf," said a source close to Shahid.

"Shocked as we were, we knew we had a raid to carry out and that's precisely what we did. It was meant to be a swift operation and security personnel in the building were not given a chance to warn the actor that we were on the way up," said an I-T official.
Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor were unavailable for comment."If I woke up as Priyanka Chopra one day, I would wonder what I was doing in Shahid Kapoor's bedroom and then walk over to my flat in the next wing," actor Shahid Kapoor had famously said on a popular chat show barely a month ago. Little did he know that the statement would come back to bite him.

Hrithik Roshan unveils his wax figure at Madame Tussauds[London]

2011-01-23T09:03:00.000-08:00

Hrithik Roshan on Thursday came face-to-face with his wax figure at Madame Tussauds in London. In homage to one of his most famous roles in the 2006 hit 'Dhoom: 2', he is shown in a short-sleeved, unbuttoned shirt, showcasing his famous toned body.

"I can't believe I'm here in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of myself. It's incredible just how detailed the figure is - they've really captured my look. I'm truly honoured to be included and hope my fans will like seeing the figure," Hrithik said in a statement.

The actor, who has hits like 'Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai', 'Dhoom:2', 'Krrish' and 'Jodhaa Akbar', among others, under his belt is the youngest male actor from India to be honoured by the prestigious Madame Tussauds wax museum.

Roshan was completely involved in the creation of the figure. He attended two sittings in Mumbai and London where sculptors captured a catalogue of reference photographs and hundreds of precise measurements. Hirthik also donated the red shirt and dark blue jeans his figure is wearing, a source said.

The figure took four months to make at a cost of 150,000 pounds and joins fellow Indian film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in the special Bollywood section of the museum.

To coincide with the launch of Hrithik's new figure, a new interactive touch screen display was also installed in the area, where guests can watch the dance moves of five Bollywood icons.

"We're delighted to welcome Hrithik and his family here today and to be including his figure in our Bollywood area. It is one of our most popular areas in the entire attraction and we know it's going to be even more so with Hrithik now featured in the lineup.

"The pose is so striking, it is sure to wow fans and get ladies' hearts aflutter. In fact, it has got to be one of the most daring figures we have ever created," public relations manager of Madame Tussauds Liz Edwards said.

There Will Be No interval in "Dhobi Ghat"

2011-01-19T08:43:00.000-08:00

Movie is realising on this Friday,This Movie is just 90-minute long, and therefore Aamir Khan's forthcoming film 'Dhobi Ghat' will be screened across the country without any interval.

Aamir personally visited the owners and managers of the multiplex chains. They've apparently now given it to him in writing that there would be no interval in the screenings of the movie.

Not just the multiplex chains and single theatres in Mumbai, Aamir has personally secured a similar never-before no-interval clause from theatres across India.

Directed by his wife Kiran Rao, the film is releasing Friday and stars Aamir in pivotal role along with Prateik Babbar.

Apparently the implementation of the no-intermission clause for 'Dhobi Ghat' will be closely monitored across the country. Errant theatres sneaking in samosa space into 'Dhobi Ghat' would be guilty of a breach of contract.

Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV, the co-producers of 'Dhobi Ghat', confirms Aamir's firm stand on the mid-point issue.

"Aamir spoke to all the multiplexes and they agreed to no interval. 'Dhobi Ghat' is only 95 minutes long and structured to be watched in one sitting without an interval, so yes, the multiplexes have seen the wisdom of his logic," said Kapoor.

Aamir's close friend filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who has been championing the cause of the abolition of the ritual, sees this as a big breakthrough in the process of guarding the creative sanctity of our films.

"Intervals are an unnatural brake applied in the middle of a film to sell samosas. There is no first-half and second-half in a film. This is an artificial division created purely to generate revenues through food sales," said Mehra.

"Bigg Boss 4" and its end, Shweta winner

2011-01-09T07:43:00.000-08:00

After raising far too many eyebrows along its 14-week run, 'Bigg Boss 4' has ended. With over-the-top cat fights, verbal abuse galore, a much publicised wedding, and romance that was often too intimate for viewers' comfort, the season did in a way live up to its promise of being bigger. But was it better?

Colors' 'Bigg Boss 4' had newer attractions, a state-of-the-art house, a live wire host in Bollywood star Salman Khan, interesting contestants, including two from Pakistan, and special appearances by film stars.

Season four saw incessant verbal abuses hurled over trivial matters, a sensation caused by the televised wedding of participant, actress Sara Khan with her beau Ali Merchant, and then the government hauling it up for 'offending good taste'.

It started with 14 contestants, including Mumbai terror attack accused Mohammad Ajmal Kasab's former lawyer Abbas Kazmi; thief-turned-detective Devinder Singh alias Superchor Bunty; actor Ashmit Patel, who was involved in an MMS scandal; former dacoit Seema Parihar and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's son Rahul Bhatt, who was friends with terror operative David Headley, accused of scouting targets for Mumbai attack.

There were two contestants from Pakistan - actress and former girlfriend of fast bowler Mohammed Asif, Veena Malik, and cross-dressing diva and television personality Begum Nawazish Ali, apart from Indian TV actresses, Shweta Tiwari and Sara Khan, former MTV 'Splitsvilla' contestant Sakshi Pradhan and model Aanchal Kumar, who hardly managed to raise the glamour quotient.

Others who participated in the competition of survival in a secluded house without any communication with the outside world, were Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari, model-turned-actor Sameer Soni and model Hrishant Goswami, later joined by WWE wrestler, The Great Khali and subsequently by the boisterous Dolly Bindra.

Hollywood bombshell Pamela Anderson was flown in to raise the mercury level as a special guest for three days on the already heated show!

This season courted quite a few controversies and troubles - starting Day 1 with Superchor Bunty's ouster following unruly behaviour in the house. Then followed objections by the Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) against inclusion of Pakistani celebrities on the show.

The entry of The Great Khali, whose humungous size of 7'1 and heavy voice, sent jitters down the spine of other contestants. The atmosphere in the 'Bigg Boss 4' house was quite calm, cool and friendly until Dolly Bindra made a wildcard entry, and shook the atmosphere with her loud and overbearing nature.

Abuses, fights and melodrama became a way of life after Dolly and Shweta began to settle personal scores violently. The fights got others like Ashmit, Sameer, Khali, Veena, Sara and Manoj involved too. In fact, Sameer and Dolly were asked to leave the show for their bad behaviour, only to return a few days later.

Where illwill was flourishing between many, romance was also in full bloom with Rahul-Aanchal's silent chemistry, Veena's one-sided attraction for Hrishant as well as Ashmit and Sara's growing closeness there for the public to see.

The Ashmit-Sara angle didn't last long - how could it when her long time beau Ali Merchant entered the show and proposed marriage to her. The two were set to say 'kabool hai' on national TV - but even that was replete with controversy.

The show was in a mess as the Sara-Ali love story took an ugly twist when Sara's family claimed that both Sara and Ali were already married, and a petition was filed in court against them for cheating the public.

Then the information and broadcasting ministry stepped in. The ministry sent a notice to Colors for 'offending good taste' and for the use of vulgar language in the show, and even went to the extent of asking it to shift the telecast time after 11 p.m.

Meanwhile, love was brewing elsewhere too - Veena changed loyalties and shifted focus to Ashmit, who willingly reciprocated. The two cosied up under a blanket, kissed and hugged each other often and shared sweet nothings, until Veena had to bid goodbye to the show.

After Sameer's elimination in the 13th week - four candidates remained - the consistent Shweta, loud mouthed Dolly, confused and restless Ashmit and The Great Khali.

But it was Shweta who finally emerged the winner and walked away with the trophy and a cash prize of Rs.1 crore at a befitting, star-studded finale.

All in all, a controversial - yet entertaining season of 'Bigg Boss'!

Yana Gupta offered 1 crore to go nude

2011-01-04T04:32:00.000-08:00

You may like it or not but the fact is, words like "naked yana gupta",‘yana gupta without underwear’, ‘yana gupta no panty’, ‘yana gupta without underwear pics’, ‘yana gupta wardrobe malfunction’, etc are highly searched especially in India. It may sound bad to some but it is true that the girl has got the publicity she wanted badly. It looks like the fashion faux pas was part of her game, because she laughed off about the whole incident, describing it as the ‘funniest day of her life’.

Explaining why she didn’t wear underwear, Yana said that she decided to do away with panties, as it kept getting stuck in her ass while practising dance moves for a television show. So, she packed up her things in the morning itself so that she could leave for the charity event straight from the dance floor, as she had no time to go home. However, she forgot to pack her panties. She added that she did try to find cover her private part by pulling her short black dress but the photographers managed to take her pictures.

But Fact is- Yana Gupta has made the hard work

easier for them. Yana is now reportedly being offered a whopping one crore deal by a foreign magazine. The offer, if accepted, will make Yana shed all her clothes, and be the USP of that edition of the magazine.

A British magazine has made the offer to Yana it appears. The item girl, who could not become an established actress in Bollywood so far, seems did just a small act to gain the much wanted attention. Recently, at none other than a charity event, the lady went without her panties. She not just missed her panties, but also wore a short mini dress, becoming the eye candy for many a camera men and audience.

To make matters more candid, Yana had back then stated that now she could be the brand ambassador for a underwear company. We are sure that the lady must have been approached by some big names of the industry. And now, it is her other clothes which have raised offers… not to be worn, but to be thrown away!

Meet Shahrukh's son Aryan Khan, SRK Jr!

2011-01-04T03:46:00.000-08:00

Shah Rukh & Salman Khan were spotted at the Mumbai International Airport on their return from Dubai after the New Year Celebrations. But it was King Khan's son Aryan who made his presence felt by stealing the limelight away from his dad and Salman Khan.

Bigg Boss 4: Dolly-Khali great at loggerheads

2011-01-04T03:34:00.000-08:00

'Bigg Boss 4' has reached the final countdown days and with just about five days left, the house has almost become a place of wild nerve racking doldrums hit zone.

The four inmates are in constant action these last few days as the task set in by Bigg Boss has them dancing to specific songs allotted by Bigg Boss to make the inmates enjoy the last few days of this sensational reality show.

With Dolly Bindra having her arguments with almost everyone in the house the only person left was Khali the great. Khali was the only person Dolly Bindra could relate to in the house and she called him Veerji which is a term used to address an elder brother.

However, things soured between the two ever since Dolly found out that Khali had hidden some ginger for Shweta Tiwari, since she loved ginger tea.

This was something that Dolly Bindra could not digest. So,all for the sake of the ginger Dolly and Khali the great are at loggerheads.

The banter was quite evident on Monday night’s episode as Dolly kept on pestering Khali with something or the other. She even asked why he had placed a wet towel on her clothes and taunted that Khali never worked and always wanted something or the other to eat the whole day, especially chicken!

Akshay and Katrina get mobbed by fans

2010-12-27T08:02:00.000-08:00

There are always two sides to a coin. While being famous comes with its own perks, there is a flip side too, which is of being followed by millions of ardent fans wherever you go. Though it's all for the love of the celeb, sometimes the fans can get into frenzy and create trouble for the star. Katrina Kaif recently had a first hand experience of this, while she was on a promotional tour for her upcoming film Tees Maar Khan.

It was in Dubai when Katrina was scheduled for a promotional event at a local mall where her fans gathered in thronging numbers. On seeing her car arrive, her fans mobbed the vehicle for a glimpse of the actress. The situation got so out of hand that Katrina's make up man had to double up as her security to escort the harrowed star back to the hotel.

While closer to home, on a nationwide promotional campaign, both Akshay and Katrina were left confined to the hotel in Ludhiana, all thanks to the fans who had gathered outside. Maybe the fans took the 'Catch me if you can' bit from the TMK's title track too seriously.

Katrina showed up diligently, much earlier, on X'mas night to shower b'day wishes on her "close friend and advisor", as she knew there were professional commitments on Dec 27, which would keep her away. After all the talk that Salman's digs at Ranbir Kapoor and her poor command over Hindi in the 'Bigg Boss 4' show drove Kat to tears, the actress sashayed into Galaxy Apartments in suburban Mumbai, even as eyeballs popped and heads turned crazily.

States a highly placed source, "Katrina paid a visit late in the evening, met up with Salman to wish him on his b'day. They hugged each other and had a blast bonding with each other, Katrina ate some food and they spent about one and a half hours with each other, and then she left."

Adds the insider, "By the looks of it, nothing seemed to be wrong with their relationship and Katrina seems to be quite close to the Khan family even now. When it was time to leave Salman escorted her all the way to her car and stood waving till her car zoomed off…
