Ruby Rodriguez, a recognized celebrity in the Philippines, was one of those who auditioned for the upcoming The Biggest Loser Asia edition. The show, which is set to start on November 24, 2009, will air via Hallmark Channel. The Biggest Loser Asia will start at 9PM.

In this video of Ruby Rodriguez shared by YouTube user herestolifejane, Rodriguez said that her Biggest Loser Asia experience is not about Ruby the celebrity but Ruby the person.

Ruby Rodriguez and thousands of other hopefuls auditioned at Fitness First Megamall in the Philippines in the hope of getting the chance to compete in The Biggest Loser Asia. The winner of this year's much-awaited reality show will receive $100,000.00

Meet the female The Biggest Loser Asia trainer! One of the leading health and wellness experts from Down Under, Kristy Curtis has been hooked to fitness since she was a teenager. And now the personable and friendly 31 year-old has turned her passion into a successful career.

Early on in life, Kristy was drawn into the world of health and fitness due to her own body image struggles as a teenager. Having conquered that, Kristy went on to become a national aerobic champion. Kristy Curtis of The Biggest Loser Asia now runs her own personal training business is a Group Fitness Manager for an international fitness chain where she teaches a multitude of classes all over Sydney.

Of Australian-Chinese descent, Kristy has lived in London and worked in the corporate health industry and travelled all over the world spreading her message of health.

Kristy describes herself as someone who just can’t still. She’s full of energy, cheeky and sometimes too honest, she says.

“I am not good with idle time. I have to be running, riding, boxing, surfing (badly), or just simply moving otherwise I start to go crazy.”

Through her own personal struggles, Kristy strongly believes while there some things in life you cannot control, you can take ownership and responsibility of your health through eating good food, thinking positively and keeping your body moving. And it is reflected in her training style, which is best described as an integrated and holistic approach.

Finding out what lifestyle factors are affecting ones health is the key to achieving balance. She likes to give her trainees an education as to why they should be eating something or moving a particular way for example, as they are more likely to change their behaviour if they have a reason for it. As a motivator and role model, she always has a smile on her face and often builds a strong connection with the members in her classes and her clients to lead them better in the journey towards wellness.

Sarimah Ibrahim is the host of the first ever Biggest Loser Asia!

Sarimah is a Malaysian television host, singer and actress.

Sarimah, who is of Malaysian and Irish descent, will become the Biggest Loser Asia contestants' friend in the 3 months that they'll all vie for the $100,000 grand prize!

The Biggest Loser Asia host is also a popular product endorser. Among the products that she's endorsed include Clairol Herbal Essences Shampoo, Lexmark, Halls, Sprite, Malaysia Telecom and Laurier.

The eldest and the only girl among four children, Sarimah Ibrahim is able to converse in both Malay and English. She is also a 1st Dan black belt holder in Karate-Do Kenpo.

The Biggest Loser Asia is finally airing very soon! Biggest Loser Asia will begin airing via Hallmark Channel on November 24, 2009.

After months of auditions in various countries across Asia, the Biggest Loser Asia edition is now set to find that one sole spokesperson who can speak against obesity and get the chance to win a staggering $100,000!

Over the course of 13 weeks, one-hour episodes of the Biggest Loser Asia will air via Hallmark Channel and will feature "heavyweight" contestants from all over Asia. These Biggest Loser contestants will undergo physical challenges, exercise routines and even mental challenges. During their stay, the contestants will also get the chance to mingle with other heavyweight Biggest Loser Asia contenders.

I can't wait to watch the first episode of the Biggest Loser Asia! I'm a big fan of the Biggest Loser US edition and I'm really glad that there already is an Asian edition!
