Barbarous as it was... No one ...not even a person endowed with the slightest fraction of decency would either support or condoned the inhumane actions purpotrated by the militant outfit Hamas on the 8th of October ... Hamas went on a killing spree that can't be justified by any religious doctrine nor by any other order of reasoning...It was outright brutality and massacre ....Period. At the aftermath, as expected retaliatory measures by IDF were inevitable... Israel has to protect the sanctity of its people and nation.It is of patriotic obligation and so, deemed justified. In spite of being loathed for her alleged involvement in the daily affairs of the Najib Umno led government and of the luxuries she attained as the PMs spouse... the criminal justice system erred tremendously in convicting her on the corruption charges...

What is clear, she was never in anyway bestowed with the authority to dictate terms nor determine a bias conclusion to any decision process..

As a spouse of a highly influential figure..the ultimate 'power' she had was purely persuasion to have matters done in her favour...

Persuasion obviously in these circumstances can't be construed as an illegal act .

In contrast , those who were in authority who succumbed to 'instructions' amid abided to approve the deal are the culprits that'd broke the anti graft laws..

In citing, the purported handing over of cash, the main player was Rizal Mansur, a personal aid to Rosmah at the time.

Rizal was slapped with the same charges .. The prosecution later used him as a prosecution witness..

By dropping all charges against him, Rizal was ever willing to assume the role of a turned coat..

What must be noted is that Rizal Mansur was never an agent provocateur prior to his detention .. His 'hostility' towards Rosmah began right after he struck a deal with the prosecution...

Malaysia has an excuse for banning Israel's participation bcuz of Palestine... and the ipc has a reason to strip Malaysia the right of being host to the world para swimming championships for Jew bashing...

Politics,religion and race falls in the equation , what are the ordinary citizens stand on this?

Malaya with a 60% muslim malay populace would almost certainly echo in agreement the government's decision.

But what about Sarawak or Sabah for that matter, are the two Borneo regions in solidarity with their Malayan counterpart on this particular issue??

Perhaps both the state's SLAs are reluctantly in favour of the central government's decision bearing in mind the central government holds the prerogative of overseeing foreign policies. Nevertheless there is an "air of doubt" that the majority of Borneo Malaysia citizens are able to see eye to eye on the issue.

Sarawak in particular where the events are supposed to be held is a non muslim majority region and neither quibbling about semantics over allegations of Israel's war crime committed against the Palestinian people nor religious fanaticism least of all being anti semitic comes close to be associated with its people.

Unlike their overwhelmingly in numbers Malay Malayan counterparts that are shrouded in hatred towards the Zionist regime and take on reality is bent the people of the two Borneo regions are sensible enough to keep their mental fraternity intact thus enabling to distinguish between a sporting event and what is political correctness (whatever that means)

Down the years, It has become a norm for natural disasters to strike the coastlines of the Nusantara Archipelago this time of year.
The latest, being the Sunda Straits Tsunami lest then a week ago.

Hitherto, two or three decades ago South Asia was frequently at the receiving end the wrath of nature's fury. Almost at precise intervals each calendar year recurrence of flash floods (unlike the ones we are accustomed to) "ran" berserk in those territories . Waters were recorded to rise at unprecedented heights of 20 to 200 feet completely inundating an entire settlement destroying crops, livestock and laid claimed to a high number of human casualties..

In forthcoming years it is predicted the heartland of America will experienced a catastrophic calamity in about the same calendar year, and it won't be brought about by an arsenal of Chinese , North Korean or Russian nuclear warheads raining on their skies but that of natures rage of super typhoons, tornadoes,tidal waves etc.

While we( Malaysia) are blessed by the elements to be positioned in a buffer zone, any tilt in the world's "paksi" an ancient Urdu word denoting an invisible astronomical thread literally described as "God's Hand" in the dead sea scrolls that holds us(earth) in orbit, spells disaster.

As we go about celebrating the gift and life's joys this festive season take heed and be cautious that the man upstairs flirts with the extravagance , self-centeredness and despicable hypocrisy that surrounds us.

Pesta Kaamatan atau nama lain iaitu (Tadau Kaamatan) atau di dalam bahasa Kadazan "Magavau" merupakan upacara perayaan khas untuk menghormati "Bambazon" iaitu untuk menghormati semangat padi. Perayaan ini adalah amalan secara tradisi Kaum Kadazan-Dusun sejak zaman berzaman. Perayaan "Magavau" ini biasanya diadakan selepas selesai menuai padi. Pesta Kaamatan yang dirayakan dewasa ini telah diluluskan oleh Majlis Undangan Kerajaan Koloni sebagai cuti umum Sabah sejak tahun 1960 lagi, oleh Tun Haji Mohamad Fuad Stephens, Ketua Menteri Sabah yang pertama.

Kondisi jalanraya di keseluruhan Negeri yang jelas tidak mengambarkan kesimbangan dari segi pelaksanan walaupun kekayaan hasil bumi Negeri Sabah merupakan penyumbang utama kepada pembinaan lebuhraya di Malaya.
Political Will yang rapuh dikalangan pemimpin negeri adalah punca utama keadaan ini berlarutan sejak penubuhan Malaysia.

Ini merupakan perkara perkara asas yang menghantui rakyat namun penyelesian belum kunjung tiba.

Ketiadaan bekalan air paip ' treated water' dan bekalan elektrik di kawasan pedalaman Sabah perlu dititik beratkan mengatasi isu budaya atau sosial. Kemiskinan dikalangan orang asal yang masih berluasa mencerminkan sebuah Negara yang gagal.
Perlu ditekankan untuk sebuah negara demokratik diistiharkan berjaya adalah dengan meniliti cara bagaimana layanan terhadap etnik indigenous minoriti oleh pihak berkuasa.

Kemiskinan tegar kalangan orang asal pedalaman Sabah mengharungi kehidupan tanpa bekalan air paip, tanpa elektrik, tanpa amenity asas.

Sehubungan ini , untuk mencabar kewibawan "Status Quo" sedia ada , penekanan secara confrontational keatas keperluan mengubah struktur agihan nisbah royalti minyak beserta dengan kuasa otonomi Sabah dalam pembentukan Malaysia merupakan antara isu panas dekat di hati penduduk negeri yang bukan setakat mampu melonjatkan populariti sebuah parti politik tetapi mampu juga mengubah pattern pengundian secara overall pada pilihanraya akan datang.

Dalam pada itu , ketentuan meletak calon pada pilihanraya akan datang perlu penilitian rapi . Sebaiknya calon terdiri dari muka baru tidak tercemar atau memikul " bagasi " politik .
Matlamat ini perlu disebut secara terperinci dalam manifesto .

Disusuli matlamat untuk merealisasikan pembinaan loji loji penapis minyak mentah serta konsentrasi aktiviti 'down streaming' hasil kelapa sawit dan oil and gas berpusat di Sabah dan langkah proaktif seumpamanya.

Parti Warisan sekiranya ingin menjadikan angan angan menarujui pucuk pimpinan negeri menjadi kenyataan perlu dalam masa terdekat ini menonjolkan keupayan untuk mengungguli Parti Parti lawan dari sudut kemampuan membawa perubahan radikal dalam soal sosio- ekonomi rakyat Sabah dan yang lebih utama mengadaptasikan pendekatan agar hasil bumi Negeri diagihkan secara saksama kepada segenap pelusuk warga negeri melalui konsep welfare state iaitu What belongs to the State goes back to its people literally.

That's a pretty impressive line-up of people by anyone's yardstick.

Yet, 25 years later, where were those nine industrial giants?

Let’s examine what happened to them 25 years later.
1. The President of the then largest steel company (Bethlehem Steel Corp), Charles M Schwab, lived on borrowed capital for five years before he died bankrupt.

2. The President of the then largest gas company, Howard Hubson, went insane.

3. One of the greatest commodity traders (Wheat Speculator), Arthur Cutten, died insolvent.

4. The then President of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was sent to jail.

5. The member of the US President’s Cabinet (the member of President Harding's cabinet), Albert Fall, was pardoned from jail just to be able to go home and die in peace.

6. The greatest “bear” on Wall Street, Jesse Livermore committed suicide.

7. The President of the then world’s greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, committed suicide.

8. The President of the Bank of International Settlement, Leon Fraser, committed Suicide.

9. The president of the largest utility company, Samuel Insull, died penniless.

What they forgot was how to "make" life while they got busy making money!

Money in itself is not evil; it provides food for the hungry, medicine for the sick, clothes for the needy. Money is only a medium of exchange.

We need two kinds of education:

a) One that teaches us how to make a living,

and

b) One that teaches us how to live.

There are many of us who are so engrossed in our professional life that we neglect our family, health and social responsibilities.

If asked why we do this, we would reply that "We are doing it for our family".

Yet, our kids are sleeping when we leave home. They are sleeping when we come back home!! Twenty years later, we’ll turn back, and they’ll all be gone, to pursue their own dreams and their own lives.

Without water, a ship cannot move. The ship needs water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will face existential problems. What was once a means of living for the ship will now become a means of destruction.

Similarly we live in a time where earning is a necessity but let not the earning enter our hearts, for what was once a means of living will surely become a means of destruction for us as well.

So take a moment and ask yourself, "Has the water entered my ship?"
I hope not!

Hope the above story will drive all of us in a better direction in life.

Since day one prior to the formation of Malaysia, Malayan authorities and political counterparts never in the true essence of the word respected neither Sabah nor Sarawak as equal partners

They - Malayans , were up till this present day disillusioned by a superiority mental psyche towards their eastern counterparts in the "wild east" , a termed fondly used by the Malayan controlled central government to describe more than anything else the backwardness of the two Borneo States..

A Colonial masters legacy so damming an inheritance embedded deeply in their mental fraternity - a superiority complex which has been a stumbling block detrimental to both Sabah and Sarawak at fostering good relations with their partner across the South China Sea.

Governed by their superiority mindset , Sabah and Sarawak have remained at the loosing end , look down upon, shunned and reduced to being second class citizens.

The central establishment without an iota of guilt has gone to the extent of shoveling aside a legit agreement that both Borneo provinces are equal partners in the formation of the country thus reducing the two independent provinces to mere states , a precursor to numerous other disrespectful initiatives undertaken against the people of these two entities.

Undermining stipulated rights of Sabah/Sarawak are political master plans perfected down the years by the powers that be to continue having a strangle hold on the populace.

Demographics have been altered for political expediency. Jobs in both states are scarce due to the monopolistic pursuance of the central government, Native and state lands taken up by huge Peninsular base public listed companies leaving the natives of the land with nothing but small plots to toil for a livelihood hardly enabling to make ends meet.

More significantly, and to add salt to wound , Sabah and Sarawak have always been contributors not consumers of the country's coffers.

Why are we made to haggle when the bulk of natural resource are ours to begin with?

This is our 54th year as Malaysians yet the exploits of our beloved state has not hindered - lopsided policies prevailed to this very instant.

In areas where they failed to impose their policies either by coercion or sinister plots , arm twisting tactics are applied and the all important aspect of our well-being which is security as a bargaining chip.

All these "short change" ,"one-sided affair" and "unfair policies" , boils down to one vivid manifestation which is , since the birth of Malaysia , Sabah's prerogatives were handled by a lesser than formidable leadership.
Sarawak has fared much better in this field.

The State yearns for a principled , determined , and a leadership with sheer guts to chart it's course.

Previous leaders notably the late Tun Mustapha was too ill educated to put up a sound diplomatic argument. Tun Sakaran in turn was a clear stooge.

Harris Salleh was over zealous to achieve his personal golds forgetting the very people who put him in power were over the passage of time revolting against his stance on issues affecting the state. Needless to point out his role in the 85' saga and the skirmishes that followed.

The Kitingan brothers on the other hand were pseudo statesmen , early at their tenure appeared all fired up only to self decimate. .
.
Our best bet were with those who perished in the double six tragedy unfortunately their reign were cruelly halted prematurely.

The major factor why Sabah was enticed to be part of Malaysia is base on the MA63s solemn assurance of the State's status as an autonomous region within Malaysia..

Due emphasis by our own representatives on the distortion of Malaysia Agreement 63 was never a prerogative that saw the light of day in the August House.

Decades later it takes an ethical Malayan Parliamentarian to voice out as visualize in the clip below Sabahs plight in a Dewan Rakyat sitting further echoing the lackluster cum inferior attitude of our own people's representative.

The best case scenario for Sabah at present is to usher in a new breed of politicians unblemished and without baggage to continue the aspirations pursued by victims of the double six tragedy.

Joceline is right to point out that Musa has been wealthy long before his involvement in politics. This fact sets him apart from many opportunists clowns masquerading as politicians who are in it(politics) for monetary gain. The emphasis on his kin's as Joceline puts it , living a moderate existence is however uncalled for. Pretending to live modestly and by contrast genuinely living a modest life are subject matters that differs.

Perhaps many would agree , voters are ready to give Musa another five year term to run the state only if he is not in cohorts with UMNO. This is the ultimate setback hoovering over Musa's head and that of his future as CM.

Sabah and Sarawak are twice the size of Malaya as Jocelyne points out clearly, nonetheless what she presumably fails to mention is the amount of revenue extracted each day from these two Borneo entities solely for the benefit of Malaya while Sabah and Sarawak abudantly blessed with natural resources receive peanuts in return hence the mocking remarked ' two of the poorest states'

Taking into account previous political establishments , UMNO has reached the pinnacle of its might with much fanfare but little to shout about as far as real economical , infrastructure and development progress particularly for Sabah. Besides, its the norm for the state to try out new Leadership and Political affiliates at the end of the five year mandatory allocation given a twist of good faith stretching to the
extent for the incumbent remaining in office for a spell of two or three terms the most.
Chief Executive Officers of previous administrations had a first hand experienced of this phenomena ,their so called 'Waterloo' before their third term was up. Musa must be thanking his lucky stars for not having to go through similar predicament.

Saya orang asli Wilayah Sabah iaitu sebuah wilayah independent yang menjadi salah satu Wilayah teras di antara empat Wilayah dalam pembentukan sebuah negara daulat yang kita kenali sebagai negara Malaysia...

Perlembagaan Persekutuan atau lebih tepat dirujuk sebagai " Perlembagaan Wilayah Malaya 1957 " dan/atau artikel 153 serta klausa klausa yang terkandung didalamnya dan pindaan seperti " hak istimewa indigenous Sabahan/Sarawakian yang disogok pakai muat hanya selepas pembentukan Malaysia enam tahun kemudian pada 1963...

Persoalaan utama yang sepatutnya diutarakan lebih setengah abad yang lalu... , Siapakah pemimpin / badan menerajui pembikinan draf dan pemeterai perundangan Perlembagaan Persekutuan 1957 yang meliputii yakni tongak perundangan keseluruhan wilayah Malaysia hari ini? Adakah wakil pemimpin Sabah/Sarawak terlibat sama?

Jawaban pada soalan kedua adalah tentunya tidak kerana Sabah/Sarawak belum menyertai apa-apa perundingan pada masa Perlembagaan itu digubal dan Negara Malaysia belum wujud. Dalam hal demikian , apa yang dikenali sebagai Perlembagaan Persekutuan adalah tidak releven dan tidak significant pada penduduk wilayah Sabah/Sarawak dan seharusnya di declare null & void setelah terbentuknya negara baru , Malaysia.

Datuk Salleh Said , a prominent Sabahan and ex Chief Minister of the state in his capacity as a state leader should set the records straight. Hence , denounce the significance of article 153 of the so called Federal Constitution and whatever relevance it has on the lives of both the people of Sabah/Sarawak. Going into confrontation with a Malayan politician over the matter doesn't denote the leadership quality of a genuine Bajau warrior such as the legendary Paduka Mat Salleh.
What he should rightly be doing , is to do a Ghapur Salleh on the Federal authorities by telling the Deputy Minister of home Affairs to go fly kites for the nincompoops irrational suggestion of wanting local Sabah tourist attractions to close shop as a resolute " hard thinking " government way to prevent further abductions by the lawless AbuSayyaff bandits instead of compelling enforcement agencies to buck-up or pull out.

Kembali kepada hudud ,The hudud and its decree. I will not dwell on race , simply because i conclude , to mention anyone's race in Malaysia is malicious and filled with ill intent. Sabah/Sarawak known to live in harmony since time in memorial have had it , the racial bigotry spilling over the other side of the Peninsular fence.

Notwithstanding religious or racist bigotry, The hotly debated hudud and the staunch penalties that follows.

On this particular subject i will stray away from the honorable late Karpal Singh...This is not solely about religious believes per-Se and far from " the best of two worlds " normally associated with the Hypocrite Malay Malayan who wants to be seen and praised as pious but let out of the den , will be scavenging for cheap sex be it amongst their sub-ordinates or low down prostitutes.

These weasels , mainly Government or GLC employees away from Malaya where they pretend to be holier than thou show artists experiencing for the first time the moment they set foot in the east the free spirited ways of Sabah/Sarawak evolved to their true colours. There are so many witnesses to profess to this behavior and many more caught on candid camera performing the act , to prove a point. One of these low down skunk was the previous Sabah state POS Area Manager circa 1995 to 2002 who not only set a bad example and left a bad mark on Sabahans but also set a trend of having free sex amongst his subordinates.

Hudud and its harsh laws should be seen as a deterrent rather than a punishment... and should be considered on grounds transgressing the fundamental notion of human liberty.. Besides human liberty is to do good not bad... The decrees found in hudud are not hostile to other faiths as most are inscribed in the holy bible as well as the torah. Adalah tidak jujur untuk meminta sokongan pengundi tetapi enggan menyatakan pendirian sebenar mengenai isu-isu yang sensitif seperti Perkara 153, UiTM dan hudud.

Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) perlu kekal sebagai satu-satunya institusi Melayu, kata Pro Canselor Tan Sri Dr Abdul Rahman Arshad.
Tan Sri Dr Rahman mengulas gesaan calon DAP dalam pilihan raya kecil parlimen Teluk Intan Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud agar peluang samarata diberikan kepada semua untuk memasuki institusi pengajian tinggi awam di negara ini.

Justeru itu, Tan Sri Dr Rahman berhujah bahawa UiTM ditubuhkan berdasarkan peruntukan Perkara 153 Perlembagaan Persekutuan Malaysia dan seterusnya menekankan bahawa hak atau keistimewaan Bumiputera tidak harus dipersoalkan.
Jelas sekali, ini merupakan taktik DAP untuk meraih sokongan pengundi Cina yang kini berada di persimpangan jalan sama ada menyokong DAP atau Barisan Nasional (BN) pada pilihan raya kecil itu.

Bagaimanapun, strategi kempen yang menyentuh isu sensitif bakal mengundang risiko kerana kemungkinan ia akan merubah senario kepada persaingan Melayu lawan Cina atau bukan Melayu.
Sebelum ini, Dyana Sofya telah membuat kenyataan mengenai hudud — Undang-Undang Syariah Islam. Dalam kenyataan itu, Dyana Sofya menunjukkan dia menentang hudud kerana itulah pendirian parti yang diwakilinya.

Hari ini Dyana Sofya enggan mengulas mengenai perkara itu mungkin kerana menyedari komennya sebelum ini tidak memberi impak yang diharapkan.
Pilihan raya atau pilihan raya kecil merupakan platform dan peluang untuk calon-calon untuk menerangkan dasar dan ideologi parti mereka kepada pengundi.

Disinilah mereka memperjelaskan kepada pengundi tentang pendirian parti.
Mereka tidak sepatutnya memberitahu kepada pengundi “tidak mahu memberi komen” apabila ditanya tentang sesuatu perkara kerana ia bermakna mereka tidak bersifat terbuka dan menyembunyikan sesuatu perkara dari pengetahuan pengundi.

Jika DAP tidak bersetuju dengan peruntukan Perkara 153 dan UiTM sebagai sebuah institusi Melayu, dan menentang usaha PAS menggunapakai undang-undang Islam, maka ini perlu dinyatakan dengan jelas supaya pengundi akan tahu pendirian parti yang mereka undi.
Adalah tidak jujur bagi parti untuk meminta sokongan daripada pengundi tetapi enggan menyatakan pendirian sebenar mengenai isu-isu yang sensitif seperti Perkara 153, UiTM dan hudud.

This is a video of a homeless man in Santa Barbara and his pets. They work State Street every week for donations. The animals are pretty well fed and are mellow. They are a family. The man who owns them rigged a harness up for his cat so she wouldn't have to walk so much (like the dog and himself). At some juncture the rat came along, and as no one wanted to eat anyone else, the rat started riding with the cat and, often, on the cat!

The dog, will stand all day and let you talk to him and admire him for a few chin scratches. The Mayor of Santa Barbara filmed this clip and sent it out as a holiday card.

Bribing Voters Malaysian Style–An Example for the World

Watching Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak entertain BN supporters at the Stadium Putra in Bukit Jalil recently was like attending an orgy of greed and self-indulgence at a crooks’ convention. In what could be the final line-up of BN leaders before they disappear from public view, Najib’s last act encapsulated UMNO’s rule – corruption and abuse of power.

His final attempt at wooing voters with cash handouts will corrupt the nation’s morals. Most leaders encourage their citizens to follow honest and hardworking paths in life, but not Najib. He is a feckless Prime Minister, a dishonourable Malaysian and a moral degenerate.

To cries of adulation, Najib announced various increases in handouts like the BR1M payment. He denied that these were “vote-buying” tactics. When he said that some payments would be given yearly, the crowd burst into a frenzy.

Former PM Mahathir Mohamad is allegedly the driving force for establishing the evils of corruption in Malaysian politics, but is Najib an evil conspirator or is he a victim, too?

Clearly, Najib attracts some sympathy. Son of a former Prime Minister, born into privileged Pahang society, a ladies’ man and a bon viveur, Najib wants for nothing and could have used his impressive lineage to help the rakyat.

At the launch of the BN manifesto, Najib charted his political ascent: “I started as a backbencher, then Deputy Minister, then Minister, Menteri Besar, Deputy Prime Minister, then PM. The principle of my struggle is that of loyalty to my superiors. I served under three prime ministers and was loyal to all. Was Anwar loyal? Definitely not.”

The untimely death of Najib’s father (n 1976), Abdul Razak Hussein, catapulted Najib into politics but few would be impressed by Najib’s lacklustre performance as a career politician. Ironically, Najib’s personal tragedy lies along the path that led him to wealth and power.

Despite his political pedigree, Najib cannot empathise with the rakyat. His other encounter with “normal” life, was a brief stint in the corporate world. He sees little of the rakyat’s suffering and has experienced few hardships in life.

One could always argue that Anwar has proved his loyalty to the rakyat. He dared to challenge Mahathir, but was punished: however, to what or whom is Najib loyal? Money, power or both?

The moment Najib started to milk the taxpayers’ money, he became a prisoner of the system. Our leaders are good at taking what does not belong to them.

Mahathir dispensed with transparency, accountability and responsibility. Cronies were encouraged to embrace a culture of entitlement. They are used to receiving something for nothing. Mahathir compromised our work ethics, our culture of honesty, sense of values, respect for the judiciary and the police, self-respect and respect for one another.

Offers of cash, with the promises of more, risk the nation’s finances. Who foots the bill? Will the crowd be euphoric when taxes are increased? Will they be jubilant when subsidies are reduced?

Corrupt leaders have studied and worked the system to their advantage. Their success is mainly due to our apathy and our inability to ask challenging questions. Politicians succeed because they are able to massage the greedy side of our human nature. Whilst we were engrossed with our RM500 BR1M payment, we overlooked the billions of ringgits acquired by politicians through commissions and land deals.

Subsidising the lifestyles of the corrupt

Why should we subsidise the lifestyles of corrupt politicians? They live off us like drug addicts consume drugs. Like drug addicts, they are not interested in stable employment or earning a decent living through an honest day’s work.

Najib is UMNO’s evil conspirator but he is not a victim, like us. Najib is trapped by his lifestyle and the vicious cycle of fame and debauchery. Neither he nor his peers feel they have done anything wrong. They believe that they are entitled to the culture of “something for nothing”.

Shahrizat Abdul Jalil has shown no remorse for the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) scandal, whilst Taib Mahmud has expressed contempt for the MACC in investigating allegations of his corruption. Both Najib and his self-styled First Lady, Rosmah Mansor, have denied allegations of murder, corruption and excessive spending.

The tragedy of Najib is that he is unprincipled. He could have achieved greatness by being an able leader, by putting his nation first; before him or his wife. In times of crises, he invokes the memory of his father’s good deeds. He is just trying to hide behind his father’s laurels, like a child hiding behind his mother’s apron. In the end, he failed everyone, including himself.

Even Tok Mat (above) cannot be deceived

A few years ago, UMNO politicians boasted of being able to trounce the Opposition at the polls. The rhetoric gradually reduced to that of a hung Parliament. If people could be used as a barometer for despair, then Mahathir is one. He entered the fray, and warned Najib that if he did not perform, his deputy would take charge.

UMNO realised that their internal power struggles were turning the rakyat against them. They knew that a failure to win GE13, would signify an end to their political futures and personal freedom. They knew that if at any time one of them had fallen, they would all have been toppled, like a house of cards.

Saturday’s launch was an open show of bribery which shames everyone. UMNO knows it faces defeat at the polls, but it has gone past caring.

Anwar Ibrahim is not perfect and it would be facetious to claim that the Opposition parties are unblemished; however, only fools would be seduced by more lies that UMNO needs more time to reform.

Lest people forget, Anwar’s ill-treatment at Mahathir’s hand awakened a moral desire, in each of us, to be rid of racist and religious bigotry, and the desire to establish a just and equitable society. Even if Anwar could not continue with the struggle, the spark he lit has already ignited the embers of consciousness in most Malaysians.

Cecil admitted Najib asked him to draft SD2 , says Americk

It looks like the noose is closing in on Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, who has long been suspected of involvement in the sensational Altantuya Shaariibuu murder..

At the annual general meeting of the Malaysian Bar in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, lawyers were told that prominent colleague Cecil Abraham had admitted to acting on Najib’s instructions to prepare a second statutory declaration (SD2) for the purpose of overturning a first (SD1), which had been prepared by another lawyer.

To Najib’s critics, it is poetic justice that Abraham’s confession was revealed on the very day that the signatory to the document was cremated. P Balasubramaniam, the private investigator who had been enticed into signing the Abraham-prepared document, had died just a day ago of a massive heart attack.

In 2008, Bala had stunned the country when he made public SD1, in which he had linked Najib to the Altantuya murder. That document had been prepared by his lawyer Americk Sidhu.

Within 24 hours, as Bala later revealed, he was given a large sum of money to sign Abraham’s SD2 and then made to flee to Chennai, where he had lived in exile with his family until last month.

“Cecil met me and admitted to drafting the second SD without Bala’s instructions. The instructions came from Najib,” Malaysiakini reported Americk as telling members of the Malaysian Bar at their closed door meeting.

This is murder, don’t hide behind silence

Bala’s role in the Altantuya saga began when he was hired by Najib’s close aide Razak Baginda. His job was protect Baginda and daughter Rowena from Altantuya who had been blackmailing Baginda before she was killed.

In an immediate response, Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo called on Najib to come clean on the matter.

“Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak should respond to the allegation by lawyer Americk Singh Sidhu that the second SD of the late PI Bala was prepared on his instructions,” Gobind said in a statement.

“The Bar Council should also tell us why there has been a delay in the probe into this complaint. The Bar Council is obviously unusually slow in its probe of this matter.

Other Opposition lawmakers joined the call to the PM, who has made matters worse for himself and his party with his refusal to respond.

Americk and Abraham are senior lawyers, well known in the industry, and it would only bolster the public perception that Najib and his wife Rosmah Mansor were somehow tied in to the murder of the 28-year-old Mongolian national.

To dissolve Parliament on Monday?

Altantuya was killed by two of Najib’s former bodyguards in 2006 after she pestered Baginda for what she had told Bala was a US$500,000 commission for the Malaysian government’s purchase of submarines.

At that time Najib was both Deputy Prime Minister as well as Defense Minister and it was he who gave the green light for the navy’s procurement of 2 Scorpene submarines.

Altantuya is believed to have acted as translator for Baginda, who had helped negotiate in the deal with French arms maker DCNS. Baginda was initially charged for abetting in her murder but was controversially acquitted while the two bodyguards were sentenced to hang.

The two men have appealed and their case is due to be heard in June, which Najib’s critics have pointed out would be safely past the date of the country’s 13th general election. The government-controlled press have hinted that Najib would dissolve Parliament on March 25, with voting day sometime in April.

However, there are now red-hot rumors that Najib will dissolve Parliament on Monday, March 18.

The main reasons cited for the change in plan are his mishandling of an intrusion by armed Sulu gunmen onto Malaysian shores, his exacerbation of the ensuing fallout by trying to pin the blame on Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim and Batu MP Tian Chua, plus the renewed focus on the statutory declarations following Bala’s sudden death.

Did not want the truth to get buried

Americk, who had broken the news of Bala’s demise to the press on Friday, said that in revealing to the Bar what had been told to him, he was breaking a promise to Abraham not to tell anyone.

However, Americk said he did so because he did not want to let the trail to the truth behind the Altantuya murder get buried with Bala’s death.

“I informed the AGM after much torment of a sleepless night,” said Americk, who had been visibly been shaken by Bala’s death, describing the 53-year-old investigator as one of the “best Malaysians”. [P.I. Bala's death: All eyes now swing to SD1 detailing the Najib-Altantuya link]

“I told Bala before he died that Cecil had confessed to it and he was quite happy about it. I told him to let nature takes its course. He agreed with me and I have to continue with this for Balasubramaniam.”

According to Americk, he met Abraham at a restaurant near his office two weeks ago. The meeting was arranged by another lawyer. Americk does not plan to complain about Abraham to the Bar. The act of drafting a second SD to nullify the first is illegal under Malaysian laws.

“Cecil admitted to me that he was the one who drafted the second SD and that he was under Najib’s instructions to do so. Cecil apologised to me for it and I accepted his apology,” repeated Americk.

Sirul’s statement and who ordered the killing?

On Thursday, Americk had detailed out how he and Bala came to draft the SD1 amid accusations from Umno-linked blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin that Bala did so because he had been offered money by Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim. Americk denied any money was taken from anyone for SD1, which he confirmed Bala had wanted to effect to point out the discrepancies in the government’s investigation of the case. He also accused Raja Petra of trying to confuse the issue so as to deflect attention from the key question in the murder case that till now remains unanswered – who had ordered the killing?

Today, Americk reiterated this point. According to him, it had been clear to them that all along the two bodyguards Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar and Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri were acting under orders.

“If you look at Sirul’s 112 cautioned statements, he categorically had said that they were offered RM50,000 to RM100,000 to get rid of this woman. The question here is who ordered it. Why the chain of command was not brought up in court. We have Musa Safri (Najib’s former aide de camp), their superior officer, but he was never introduced as a witness.

Bala was among those who last saw Altantuya alive. In fact, it was he who confirmed her identity to one of her killers, Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri.

“After talking to Aminah (Altantuya) for about 15 minutes, a red Proton aeroback arrived with a woman and two men. I now know the woman to be Lance Corporal Rohaniza and the men, Azilah Hadri and Sirul Azahar. They were all in plain clothes. Azilah walked towards me while the other two stayed in the car,” Bala wrote in item 29 of his SD1.

“Azilah asked me whether the woman was Aminah and I said ‘Yes’. He then walked off and made a few calls on his handphone. After 10 minutes another vehicle, a blue Proton Saga, driven by a Malay man, passed by slowly. The drivers window had been wound down and the driver was looking at us.” (item 30 in SD1)

“Azilah then informed me they would be taking Aminah away. I informed Aminah they were arresting her. The other two persons then got out of the red Proton and exchanged seats so that Lance Corporal Rohaniza and Aminah were in the back while the two men were in the front. They drove off and that is the last I ever saw of Aminah.” (item 31 in SD1)

Of mortality and guilt: A vindication for Bala

Bala’s body was returned to his family late on Friday night after an autopsy that confirmed cause of death was due to a heart attack. Last rites were performed for him this afternoon.

The 53-year-old had returned to Malaysia last month amid a hero’s welcome for his brave decision to come out and reveal all to the public. However, heart disease does not know how to discriminate and he was forced to interrupt a tell-all tour of the country to seek treatment for 3 clogged arteries a couple of weeks ago.

“Malaysia lost a brave man in the person of P.I. Balasubramaniam. However, those who believe that now the truth will never be known are wrong. Bala has made much information known such as the involvement of Nasir Safa, Musa Safri and Nizam Razak. The public knows who these personalities are. One day, the full truth will be know,” MP for Subang Sivarasa Rasiah had told Malaysia Chronicle.

Indeed, that day of reckoning for Altantuya and also for Bala, whose reputation has been besmirched by accusations that he was a mercenary who ‘sang’ for money from the Opposition, may come much earlier anyone had anticipated.

Mortality and guilt are a potent cocktail. Perhaps in the days that come, more of those involved in what is now clear to see was a massive cover-up to shield Najib and his Umno party will step forward and take their place in history by telling the truth.

Not just for Altantuya, Bala, or the nation but most of all, for themselves and their children.

All eyes on SD1 and SD2: The Najib link

Meanwhile, all eyes are on the SD1 drafted by Americk and SD2 drafted by Abraham. Bala was after all among those who last saw Altantuya alive. In fact, it was he who confirmed her identity to one of her killers, Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri.

In SD1 (scroll below), Bala had detailed Najib’s connection to Altantuya in item 25 as told to him by Baginda. Many parts were corroborated by Altantuya when she spoke to him just hours before she was killed, in item 28:

In items 49, 50, 51, 52, Bala again mentioned Najib.

25. During this discussion and in an attempt to persuade me to continue my employment with him, Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that :-

> He had been introduced to Aminah by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at a diamond exhibition in Singapore.

> Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak informed Abdul Razak Baginda that he had a sexual relationship with Aminah and that she was susceptible to anal intercourse.

> Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak wanted Abdul Razak Baginda to look after Aminah as he did not want her to harass him since he was now the Deputy Prime Minister.

> Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Abdul Razak Baginda and Aminah had all been together at a dinner in Paris.

> Aminah wanted money from him as she felt she was entitled to a USD$500,000.00 commission on a submarine deal she assisted with in Paris.

28. Whist I was talking to Aminah, she informed me of the following :

> That she met Abdul Razak Baginda in Singapore with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

>That she had also met Abdul Razak Baginda and Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at a dinner in Paris.

>That she was promised a sum of USD$500,000.00 as commission for assisting in a submarine deal in Paris.

>That Abdul Razak Baginda had bought her a house in Mongolia but her brother had refinanced it and she needed money to redeem it.

>That her mother was ill and she needed money to pay for her treatment.

>That Abdul Razak Baginda had married her in Korea as her mother is Korean whilst her father was a Mongolian/Chinese mix.

>That if I wouldn’t allow her to see Abdul Razak Baginda, would I be able to arrange for her to see Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.\

STATUTORY DECLARATION (Bala’s first SD or SD1 drafted by Americk Sidhu)

I, Balasubramaniam a/l Perumal (NRIC NO: xxxxxx-xx-6235) a Malaysian Citizen of full age and residing at xxxxx, Selangor do solemly and sincerely declare as follows :-

1. I have been a police officer with the Royal Malaysian Police Force having jointed as a constable in 1981 attached to the Police Field Force. I was then promoted to the rank of lance Corporal and finally resigned from the Police Force in 1998 when I was with the Special Branch.

2. I have been working as a free lance Private Investigator since I left the Police Force.

3. Sometime in June or July 2006, I was employed by Abdul Razak Baginda for a period of 10 days to look after him at his office at the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang between the hours of 8am to 5pm each working day as apparently he was experiencing disturbances from a third party.

4. I resigned from this job after 2 ½ days as I was not receiving any proper instructions.

5. I was however re-employed by Abdul Razak Baginda on the 05-10-2006 as he had apparently received a harassing phone call from a Chinese man calling himself ASP Tan who had threatened him to pay his debts. I later found out this gentleman was in fact a private investigator called Ang who was employed by a Mongolian woman called Altantuya Shaaribuu.

6. Abdul Razak Baginda was concerned that a person by the name of Altantuya Shaaribuu, a Mongolian woman, was behind this threat and that she would be arriving in Malaysia very soon to try and contact him.

7. Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that he was concerned by this as he had been advised that Altantuya Shaaribuu had been given some powers by a Mongolian ‘bomoh’ and that he could never look her in the face because of this.

8. When I enquired as to who this Mongolian woman was, Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that she was a friend of his who had been introduced to him by a VIP and who asked him to look after her financially.

9. I advised him to lodge a police report concerning the threatening phone call he had received from the Chinese man known as ASP Tan but he refused to do so as he informed me there were some high profile people involved.

10. Abdul Razak Baginda further told me that Altantuya Shaaribuu was a great liar and good in convincing people. She was supposed to have been very demanding financially and that he had even financed a property for her in Mongolia.

11. Abdul Razak Baginda then let me listen to some voice messages on his handphone asking him to pay what was due otherwise he would be harmed and his daughter harassed.

12. I was therefore supposed to protect his daughter Rowena as well.

13. On the 09.10.2006 I received a phone call from Abdul Razak Baginda at about 9.30 am informing me that Altantuya was in his office and he wanted me there immediately. As I was in the midst of a surveillance, I sent my assistant Suras to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office and I followed a little later. Suras managed to control the situation and had persuaded Altantuya and her two friends to leave the premises. However Altantuya left a note written on some Hotel Malaya note paper, in English, asking Abdul Razak Baginda to call her on her handphone (number given) and wrote down her room number as well.

14. Altantuya had introduced herself to Suras as ‘Aminah’ and had informed Suras she was there to see her boyfriend Abdul Razak Baginda.

15. These 3 Mongolian girls however returned to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office at the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang again, the next day at about 12.00 noon. They did not enter the building but again informed Suras that they wanted to meet Aminah’s boyfriend, Abdul Razak Baginda.

16. On the 11.10.2006, Aminah returned to Abdul Razak Baginda’s office on her own and gave me a note to pass to him, which I did. Abdul Razak Baginda showed me the note which basically asked him to call her urgently.

17. I suggested to Abdul Razak Baginda that perhaps it may be wise to arrange for Aminah to be arrested if she harassed him further, but he declined as he felt she would have to return to Mongolia as soon as her cash ran out.

18. In the meantime I had arranged for Suras to perform surveillance on Hotel Malaya to monitor the movements of these 3 Mongolian girls, but they recognized him. Apparently they become friends with Suras after that and he ended up spending a few nights in their hotel room.

19. When Abdul Razak Baginda discovered Suras was becoming close to Aminah he asked me to pull him out from Hotel Malaya.

20. On the 14.10.2006, Aminah turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house in Damansara Heights when I was not there. Abdul Razak Baginda called me on my handphone to inform me of this so I rushed back to his house. As I arrived, I noticed Aminah outside the front gates shouting “Razak, bastard, come out from the house”. I tried to calm her down but couldn’t so I called the police who arrived in 2 patrol cars. I explained the situation to the police, who took her away to the Brickfields police station.

21. I followed the patrol cars to Brickfields police station in a taxi. I called Abdul Razak Baginda and his lawyer Dirren to lodge a police report but they refused.

22. When I was at the Brickfields police station, Aminah’s own Private Investigator, one Mr. Ang arrived and we had a discussion. I was told to deliver a demand to Abdul Razak Baginda for USD$500,000.00 and 3 tickets to Mongolia, apparently as commission owed to Aminah from a deal in Paris.

23. As Aminah had calmed down at this stage, a policewoman at the Brickfields police station advised me to leave and settle the matter amicably.

24. I duly informed Abdul Razak Baginda of the demands Aminah had made and told him I was disappointed that no one wanted to back me up in lodging a police report. We had a long discussion about the situation when I expressed a desire to pull out of this assignment.

25. During this discussion and in an attempt to persuade me to continue my employment with him, Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that :-

26. On the 19.10.2006, I arrived at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house in Damansara Heights to begin my night duty. I had parked my car outside as usual. I saw a yellow proton perdana taxi pass by with 3 ladies inside, one of whom was Aminah. The taxi did a U-turn and stopped in front of the house where these ladies rolled down the window and wished me ‘Happy Deepavali’. The taxi then left.

27. About 20 minutes later the taxi returned with only Aminah in it. She got out of the taxi and walked towards me and started talking to me. I sent an SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda informing him “Aminah was here”. I received an SMS from Razak instructing me “To delay her until my man comes”.

28. Whist I was talking to Aminah, she informed me of the following :-

That she met Abdul Razak Baginda in Singapore with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

32. Abdul Razak Baginda was not at home when all this occurred.

33. After the 19.10.2006, I continued to work for Abdul Razak Baginda at his house in Damansara Heights from 7 pm to 8 am the next morning, as he had been receiving threatening text messages from a woman called ‘Amy’ who was apparently ‘Aminah’s’ cousin in Mongolia.

34. On the night of the 20.10.2006, both of Aminah’s girl friends turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house enquiring where Aminah was. I informed them she had been arrested the night before.

35. A couple of nights later, these two Mongolian girls, Mr. Ang and another Mongolian girl called ‘Amy’ turned up at Abdul Razak Baginda’s house looking for Aminah as they appeared to be convinced she was being held in the house.

36. A commotion began so I called the police who arrived shortly thereafter in a patrol car. Another patrol car arrived a short while later in which was the investigating officer from the Dang Wangi Police Station who was in charge of the missing persons report lodged by one of the Mongolians girls, I believe was Amy.

37. I called Abdul Razak Baginda who was at home to inform him of the events taking place at his front gate. He then called DSP Musa Safri and called me back informing me that Musa Safri would be calling handphone and I was to pass the phone to the Inspector from Dang Wangi Police Station.

38. I then received a call on my handphone from Musa Safri and duly handed the phone to the Dang Wangi Inspector. The conversation lasted 3 – 4 minutes after which he told the girls to disperse and to go to see him the next day.

39. On or about the 24.10.2006, Abdul Razak Baginda instructed me to accompany him to the Brickfields police station as he had been advised to lodge a police report about the harassment he was receiving from these Mongolian girls.

40. Before this, Amy had sent me an SMS informing me she was going to Thailand to lodge a report with the Mongolian consulate there regarding Aminah’s disappearance. Apparently she had sent the same SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda. This is why he told me he had been advised to lodge a police report.

41. Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that DPS Musa Safri had introduced him to one DSP Idris, the head of the Criminal division, Brickfields police station, and that Idris had referred him to ASP Tonny.

42. When Abdul Razak Baginda had lodged his police report at Brickfields police station, in front of ASP Tonny, he was asked to make a statement but he refused as he said he was leaving for overseas. He did however promise to prepare a statement and hand ASP Tonny a thumb drive. I know that this was not done as ASP Tonny told me.

43. However ASP Tonny asked me the next day to provide my statement instead and so I did.

44. I stopped working for Abdul Razak Baginda on the 26.10.2006 as this was the day he left for Hong Kong on his own.

45. In mid November 2006, I received a phone call from ASP Tonny from the IPK Jalan Hang Tuah asking me to see him regarding Aminah’s case. When I arrived there I was immediately arrested under S.506 of the Penal Code for Criminal intimidation.

46. I was then placed in the lock up and remanded for 5 days. On the third day I was released on police bail.

47. At the end of November 2006, the D9 department of the IPK sent a detective to my house to escort me to the IPK Jalan Hang Tuah. When I arrived, I was told I was being arrested under S.302 of the Penal Code for murder. I was put in the lock up and remanded for 7 days.

48. I was transported to Bukit Aman where I was interrogated and questioned about an SMS I had received from Abdul Razak Baginda on the 19.10.2006 which read “delay her until my man arrives”. They had apparently retrieved this message from Abdul Razak Baginda’s handphone.

49. They then proceeded to record my statement from 8.30 am to 6 pm. everyday for 7 consecutive days. I told them all I knew including everything Abdul Razak Baginda and Aminah had told me about their relationships with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak but when I came to sign my statement, these details had been left out.

50. I have given evidence in the trial of Azilah, Sirul and Abdul Razak Baginda at the Shah Alam High Court. The prosecutor did not ask me any questions in respect of Aminah’s relationship with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak or of the phone call I received from DSP Musa Safri, whom I believe was the ADC for Datuk Seri Najib Razak and/or his wife.

51. On the day Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested, I was with him at his lawyers office at 6.30 am Abdul Razak Baginda informed us that he had sent Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak an SMS the evening before as he refused to believe he was to be arrested, but had not received a response.

52. Shortly thereafter, at about 7.30 am, Abdul Razak Baginda received an SMS from Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and showed, this message to both myself and his lawyer. This message read as follows :- “ I am seeing IGP at 11.00 a.m. today …… matter will be solved … be cool”.

53. I have been made to understand that Abdul Razak Baginda was arrested the same morning at his office in the Bangunan Getah Asli, Jalan Ampang.

54. The purpose of this Statutory declaration is to :-

State my disappointment at the standard of investigations conducted by the authorities into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Altantuya Shaaribuu.
Bring to the notice of the relevant authorities the strong possibility that there are individuals other than the 3 accused who must have played a role in the murder of Altantuya Shaaribuu.
Persuade the relevant authorities to reopen their investigations into this case immediately so that any fresh evidence may be presented to the Court prior to submissions at the end of the prosecutions case.
Emphasize the fact that having been a member of the Royal Malaysian Police Force for 17 years I am absolutely certain no police officer would shoot someone in the head and blow up their body without receiving specific instructions from their superiors first.
Express my concern that should the defence not be called in the said murder trial, the accused, Azilah and Sirul will not have to swear on oath and testify as to the instructions they received and from whom they were given.
55. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same be true and by virtue of the provisions of the Statutory Declaration Act 1960.

STATUTORY DECLARATION (Bala’s second SD or SD2 alleged to have been drafted by Cecil Abraham)

I, Balasubramaniam Perumal, do solemnly and sincerely declare as follows:

I have been a police officer with the Royal Malaysian Police Force having joined as a constable in 1981. I was subsequently promoted to the rank of lance corporal and finally resigned from the Royal Malaysian Police Force in 1998.

1. I currently work as a freelance private investigator.

2. I wish to refer to the statutory declaration I affirmed on July 1, 2008. I refer specifically to paragraphs 8, 25, 28, 49 and 50 to 52, wherein I have stated inter-alia that:

Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that he was introduced to Altantuya Shaariibuu by a VIP;
Najib Razak informed Abdul Razak Baginda that he had a sexual relationship with Altantuya Shaariibuu and that she was susceptible to anal intercourse;
Najib Razak instructed Abdul Razak Baginda to look after Altantuya Shaariibuu as he did not want her to harass him since he was the deputy prime minister;
Najib Razak, Abdul Razak Baginda and Altantuya Shaariibuu had met and all been together at a dinner in Paris;
Altantuya Shaariibuu wanted money in the sum of US$500,000 as a commission for a submarine deal she assisted with in Paris;
Altantuya Shaariibuu met Najib Razak in Singapore;
Altantuya Shaariibuu wanted me to arrange to see Najib Razak;
I told the police about the relationship between Najib Razak and Altantuya Shaariibuu but when it came to sign my statement this detail was left out;
The prosecutor during the course of the trial in the High Court of Shah Alam did not ask me any questions in respect of Altantuya Shaariibuu’s purported relationship with Najib Razak or of a phone call I received from one DSP Musa Safri, whom I believe was the ADC to Najib Razak and/or his wife;
Abdul Razak Baginda informed me that he had sent Najib Razak an SMS the evening before he was arrested but did not receive a response; and
Najib Razak sent an SMS to Abdul Razak Baginda on the day of his arrest to the effect that he was going to see the IGP that day and that the matter should be resolved and for Abdul Razak Baginda to remain calm.
3. I wish to retract all the statements that I have made in paragraphs 8, 25, 28, 49 and 50 to 52 of my statutory declaration dated July 1, 2008. The statements contained in paragraphs 8, 25, 28, 49 and 50 to 52 of my statutory declaration dated July 1, 2008 are inaccurate and not the truth. I wish to expressly state that:

At no material time did Abdul Razak Baginda inform me that he was introduced to Altantuya Shaariibuu by a VIP;
At no material time did Razak Baginda inform me that Najib Razak had a sexual relationship with Altantuya Shaariibuu and the she was susceptible to anal intercourse;
At no material time did Abdul Razak Baginda inform me that Najib Razak instructed Abdul Razak Baginda to look after Altantuya Shaariibuu as he did not want her to harass him since he was the deputy prime minister;
At no material time did Razak Baginda and/or Altantuya Shaariibuu inform me that Najib Razak, together with Abdul Razak Baginda and Altantuya Shaariibuu had met and all been together at a dinner in Paris;
At no material time did Altantuya Shaariibuu inform me that she wanted money in the sum of US$500,000 as a commission for a submarine deal she assisted with in Paris;

At no time did I tell the police during the course of their investigations about any relationship between Najib Razak and Altantuya Shaariibuu as no such relationship existed to my knowledge. Accordingly, the statement I signed before the police is complete;
At no time did Abdul Razak Baginda inform me that he had sent Najib Razak an SMS the evening before he was arrested; and
At no time did Abdul Razak Baginda inform me that Najib Razak had sent him an SMS on the day of his arrest to the effect that he was going to see the IGP that day and that the matter should be resolved and for Abdul Razak Baginda to remain calm.
4. In addition, I wish to retract the entire contents of my statutory declaration dated July 1, 2008. I was compelled to affirm the said statutory declaration dated July 1, 2008 under duress.

This should be the most important issue facing Sabahans today. It must be easier to “feel” the impact of the higher prices of consumer goods in Sabah and Sarawak attributed to the implementation of the cabotage shipping policy because we see the numbers go up in grocery stores .

However, the reality is that there is a greater financial hit on tax-paying Sabahans than is evident because of illegal immigration’s impact on reduced wages, etc. Illegal aliens cost the state of Sabah millions if not billions of dollars each year.

The state also spends an estimated tenths of millions a year of tax payers dollars on health care for illegal aliens . With the costs of schooling and incarcerating illegals, the combined strain on the state and country for illegal aliens in Malaysia is easily in excess of RM2billion per year.

Let us be reminded that theses are not”undocumented immigrant/refugees” we’re talking about here. These are illegal aliens who entered this country illegally. These persons are genuine Illegal Immigrants, or more simply put, Illegal aliens who as their first action have demonstrated a disrespect for the laws of the nation they have entered.

There was a time in the early 70s when the majority of the illegals who crossed the Philippines/Indonesian border were not the dregs of their countries society , they were then as in the case of a Filipino migrant, fleeing a civil war; but times have changed.

Those who come here now seem to be a more criminal element…they are transporting drugs. They are involved in gangs and have been in trouble in their motherland before they came here. They are not coming to work hard and become Malaysians; they are coming to rape the system.

I have lived on islands along the Philippines border. I’ve seen the changes in the way the illegals travel across the Sulu Sea. These days, they are ruthless and plunder everything in sight arbitrarily, with no regard for property or livestock.
They never used to break into homes along the way – now we have to lock and bar everything. And the crime rates continue to rise wherever they congregate. Thirty or 40 years ago, this wasn’t true…and it’s annoying.

When laws cease to be recognised or applied and enforced, chaos is most often the result, and the state of Sabah is in its worst shape then ever before with 58% of its three plus million population are either PTIs or persons with dubious Malaysian citizenship .

Welfare, free health care, and other public services accorded to these illegal immigrants is pushing Sabah to the brink. Needless to mention of the countless of genuine Sabahans killed each year by Illegal immigrants and countless others maimed for life that illegal immigration doesn’t hurt.

These statistics alone ‘shall’ by any means serve as a guideline to any given politician who flirts with the idea of granting this segment
of the states population amnesty regardless of the fact that an RCI is carried out to look into the illegal immigrant menace.

Just because the current system is not working is not a reason to reward lawbreakers with the prize of Permanent Residence.

And since an idea as stupid as this (granting of PR Status) happens to come from the president of an opposition party , the present administration should see this as a good omen and since support from the east guaranteed BNs hold on to Putrajaya, it would be a political right thing to do on Prime Minister Najib’s part to look into the mother of all problems plaguing Sabah and at the same time manufacture remedial measures to solving the ‘ legalised ‘ illegal immigrant fiasco .

Many argue that immigration is a social issue, but it’s a fiscal issue as well. The illegal immigrant population has grown by an average of hundredths of thousands per year since 1972, plus an additional hundredths of thousands new births in those households.

That’s approximately a million new people every decade, and almost all immigrant families are using welfare, especially Medicaid welfare.

When Nobel Prize-winning libertarian economist Milton Friedman was asked about unlimited immigration in 1999, he stated that “it is one thing to have free immigration to jobs. It is another thing to have free immigration to welfare. And you cannot have both.”

‘Let’s regain Sabah’

Former Senate president Ernesto Maceda said president Aquino should renew efforts to reclain Sabah from Malaysia.

MANILA: President Benigno Aquino should renew efforts to reclaim Sabah from Malaysia by bringing the matter before the United Nations (UN), a move that could also prevent the outbreak of violence between Malaysian troops and armed followers of the Sultan of Sulu province.
“It’s time to act to regain what is rightfully ours,” said former Senate president Ernesto Maceda on Sunday as he urged the government to immediately tap peaceful channels to avoid conflict.
“The Philippine government should now seriously consider bringing its claim to the United Nations . . . it has been neglected and sleeping for a long time,” the former senator stressed as the standoff between Malaysian security forces some 300 armed Filipinos from Mindanao, who came to Sabah last week to assert the sultanate’s claim continued.
The Manila Times says that a group of Muslim Filipinos had gone to Sabah to assert the historical claim of the sultanate of Sulu on the territory, which is located on the northern tip of Borneo Island.
Maceda said that “renewed government efforts is the only way to stop the followers of the Sultan of Sulu from taking up arms and invading Sabah to press their claim.”
“The people of the sultanate of Sulu have a legitimate claim to Sabah considering that the British and Malaysian governments used to pay rentals for Sabah to the sultan of Sulu,” he pointed out.
Rent
The senator said Philippines should press its claim on Sabah because history shows that Malaysia is only “renting” the island.
“We have not actually abandoned our claim to Sabah. In fact, until some years back, Malaysia actually paid the heirs of the Sultan of Sulu a fixed amount as rental for their occupation of Sabah,” Pimentel noted.
He explained that the country’s claim was only sidetracked by political events, particularly the outbreak of armed conflict in Mindanao, when the Moro National Liberation Front launched a separatist movement in the 1970s.
He proposed proposed that teachings about the country’s claim to Sabah should be added in school curricula to educate the new generation on the historical basis and current status of the claim.
It is to be noted that the Sultanate of Sulu ceded to the Philippine government its title and sovereignty to former president Diosdado Macapagal in 1962.
Non-committal
But as of Sunday, Malacañang remained non-committal on the revival of the country’s Sabah claim.
Palace deputy spokesman Abigail Valte kept a discreet distance from the issue on whether the government planned to field an emissary to one of the heirs, Sultan Jamalul Kiram 3rd, to ask him to recall his followers from Sabah and on whether Manila will actively seek talks to revive its claim.
Valte added that no comments are forthcoming until the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has fully briefed the executive.
Meanwhile, Valte said that the safety of the Filipinos in Sabah was the government’s main concern.
“The primary concern now is their safety and to resolve the incident peacefully,” Valte said, noting that the Philippines had received assurance from Malaysia that the government would encourage the group, which Manila has yet to identify, to leave the area peacefully.
Sabah Police chief Hamza Taib was quoted by local dailies as saying that police were negotiating with the group and expected the standoff to be resolved “very soon with the group returning to their home country.”
Malaysian police have set up a series of roadblocks along the route leading from Lahad Datu through palm oil plantations to the remote village where the gunmen are. Marine police were also patrolling the sea.
Reports identified the leader of the armed group as Raja Muda Azzimudie Kiram, former assistant district officer of Kudat during the time of former chief minister Tun Datu Mustapha Harun from 1967 to 1976.
Azzimudie, who was dressed in white robes, has yet to respond to requests by emissaries to “go home.”
Sultan Jamalul was expected to come by boat from Mindanao, while another sultan was expected to come in from Kuala Lumpur.
Ancestral claim
Armed with pistols, M16 armalite and M14 rifles and documents of the ancestral claim to Sabah, Azzimudie initially led about 30 followers into Sabah. The number grew to 300 in just a few days, it was learned.
The sexagenarian Muslim leader took shelter in the house of a certain Pakcik Umrah.
Umrah and his wife were the only locals left in Kampung Tanduo, while the other families from 15 houses have moved in with relatives in Tanjung Labian, about 30 kilometers away to avoid being caught in the crossfire in case violence erupts.
The group is comprised of Tausugs and Badjaos from the provinces of Basilan, Jolo and Tawi-Tawi. They arrived there on board several boats since last week.
Most of the armed men are aged from 20 to 60. They donned black and gray military fatigues and armed high-powered firearms including grenade launchers.
They are staying in at least six camps that have been set up there.
Sabah Police Commissioner Hamza said that police have contingency plans in the event the talks broke down.
“We are optimistic that the situation will be resolved very soon with the group returning to their home country,” he said.
Malaysian authorities were also in contact with Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario.

The Indian delegation marched into the Opening Ceremony just like the other 203 countries at the Summer Olympics. A flagbearer led the procession and was accompanied by a female sign holder and a young child ambassador. Behind them, the nation's athletes marched; India's team wore yellow saris and turbans. Someone else was there too, an unexpected intruder in the procession. She wasn't part of the lead group and wasn't an athlete. She was dressed in a red sweater and teal pants and was waving and cheering like she was supposed to be there. She wasn't.

Who was she? And why was she there?

The identity of the Indian Intruder became a major mystery in the country. "Who's That Girl?" blared the headline on the front page of The Hindustan Times. Another newspaper ran an editorial blaming London security for allowing a security risk to march with the team.

London organizing chairman Sebastian Coe revealed her identity on Sunday. "She was a member of the [Opening Ceremony] cast who got slightly overexcited," he said. "We had suspected she was probably a member of the cast but she clearly started in that venue and we will be speaking to the Indian delegation about that."

The country's Deccan Chronicle newspaper said she was likely Madhura Nagendra, a graduate student from the southern city of Bangalore who had been living in London. If she thought her stunt would be greeted with a sense of humor, she severely overestimated India's Olympic chief, Muralidharan Raga.

"She had no business to walk in with the Indian contingent and we are taking up the issue with the organizers," he said. "We don't know who she is and why she was allowed to walk in. It is a shame that she was with the athletes in the march past."

All right, all right: Let's not get out of hand here. The woman was trespassing and shouldn't have been allowed on the track to march with athletes who earned their spots in London. "A shame," though? A shame is the fact that India has been competing in the Olympics for 112 years and have only earned four more medals than Michael Phelps. This was a mysterious nuisance. And the case is closed.

Shamsubahrin charge ‘diversion’ from NFC scandal?

The main plan was to bribe the police but with the NFC fiasco being in public domain . A "mess" was how the Auditor General had described it , and a trailed of misappropriation by the NFC management unearthed daily by the alternative media for public consumption , no police officer in his/her right frame of mind would dare take the risk of accepting any " kaotiam " money . Certainly not from a herdsman tending to exclusive " lembus " residing in plush condominiums downtown , Bangsar .

Alas , the initial plot was a total failure . The cops on the other hand were calculative and viewed all options . One was the opportunity to seek reconciliation from all the adversed publicity the department was receiving . A rarity at its most perfect of timing . To make worthy their " sworn " oath of duty , for a change.

The men in blue , as to the manner of how events were unfolding knew it made perfect sense to not simply undermine or hogwashed the whistle-blower(s) and exposures made that were consistently supported by documentary as well as physical evidence which has led to the opening of one can of worms after the other.

Owing to these circumstances and as things stood , it was the most opportune period to play to the gallery and side society instead .

Hence , neither hesitation nor fickleness were to be the order of the day and to not make it a subject of an "afterthought" maneuver by a highly skeptical public , resolved as the dawning of an impending new year , they highlighted the attempt of this alleged bribery.

But then again this Dato' Samshubahrin fella is a running dog for who? if not those who are Sayalazat lady minister's hubby , children and associates , all of whom are either powerful or backed by the powers that be , but with a major setback so hazardous , it was simply too unjustifiable to be swept under the carpet even for an entity specifically endowed with the crafty art of deceitfulness .
Hazardous as it is , salvaging has to be done , nonetheless . Notwithstanding that , the total disregard for accountability has dragged the entire government machinery into hot soup

Realizing Plan A had not only gone into tatters but almost got their protruding ugly asses paraded out in the open , the masterminds behind this silly idea had to come-up with something new and fast .

So , Plan B is hatched . However for the plan to run its course (convincing or not is another matter to be dealt with in due time ) ; seemingly , the top echelon of the PDRM hire-achy had to be persuaded to stretch their cooperation a little further and that is to charge Samshubahrin for the crime of cheating the NFC boss . A claimed , with all due respect is even sillier .

The latest twist and turn of events conjured-up by the authorities , has undoubtedly left the public with more questions than answers.

The most valid of em all would be , Why have the PDRM or MACC not charge the suspect for attempted bribery or better still , charge the owners of the Feedlot for embezzlement of public funds? - Danildaud

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 — The cheating charge against Datuk Shamsubahrin Ismail is an attempt to divert attention away from the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) scandal, Pakatan Rakyat leaders claimed today.The opposition pact leaders added that allegations of misappropriating public funds linked to the national cattle farming project remain unanswered.
The case has been linked to minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil’s family. Her husband, Datuk Dr Mohamad Salleh Ismail, is the NFC chairman and chief executive while their children help run the business.
Shamsubahrin, 45, was charged at the Sessions Court yesterday with cheating Mohamad Sallehout of RM1.76 million in consultation fees by offering the latter fraudulent advisory services.
“The charge brought against Shamsubahrin Ismail shocks the nation and will go down in Malaysian history as the most ridiculous diversion ever attempted.
“The NFC scandal has reached the temperature that the public demands immediate action to recover all the public money spent and bring those responsible for the misappropriation to be accountable,” PKR chief strategist Rafizi Ramli (picture) told The Malaysian Insider.
He pointed out that the evidence disclosed to the public so far had been “compelling” and and that it has not been denied “even once” by the NFC, Shahrizat, or any other Umno leader from the ruling coalition.
“That Umno leadership thinks they can make Malaysians believe that the NFC leadership is a victim of a fraud perpetrated by Shamsubaharin, just proves that Umno has lost the plot.
“By the strength of this evidence alone, in other countries with a functioning rule of law (this) would be sufficient to bring Datuk Seri Shahrizat and her family to justice,” added the PKR leader.
Rafizi said that PKR would pursue the issue and make sure that the people responsible for approving the project and soft loans are brought to justice.
“PKR will make new revelation next week on NFC - if Umno refuses the rule of law to judge those responsible, then let the court of public opinion judges Umno and its leadership for its failure to act on NFC.”
DAP central executive committee (CEC) member Liew Chin Tong said that the charge against Shamsubahrin did not provide any explanation to how federal funds for a cattle project were used to purchase luxury condominiums.
“By charging him it does not mean the original case has gone away.
“Morally, politically something has to be done. Allegations on abuse of funds have to be answered,” he told The Malaysian Insider.
The Bukit Bendera MP said that the government should make public the papers and documents relating to NFCorp’s cattle project, and that complete transparency was the way to solve the debacle.
Police are investigating NFCorp for alleged criminal breach of trust, following accusations by PKR that the company had misused millions in federal funds meant for a cattle feedlot scheme.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) announced last week it would investigate claims that NFCorp had misappropriated government funds, despite previously saying it would not probe the matter.
The MACC later seized a computer CPU and several documents during a raid on NFCorp’s headquarters in Solaris Mont Kiara.
PKR first latched onto the issue after the RM250 million publicly-funded cattle project — run by Mohamad Salleh, husband to federal minister Shahrizat - made it into the pages of this year’s Auditor-General’s Report for failing to meet production targets. The opposition party has since made several revelations relating to the scandal, including NFCorp’s purchase of two multi-million ringgit condominium units in Bangsar and alleged use of project funds to Shahrizat and her family’s personal expenses and trips abroad.
It also claimed there was a transfer of resources to unrelated companies in Singapore, as well as the purchase a Mercedes-Benz CLS350 for RM534,622 and two plots of land in Putrajaya’s Precinct 10 for RM3,363,507.
The latest disclosure by PKR, made last Tuesday, further alleged that some RM10 million had been diverted towards the purchase of a luxury condominium unit in Singapore for Shahrizat’s family.
Shahrizat tried deflecting attention by stating she’s “only the wife” of the national cattle farming project’s chairman and had nothing to do with the NFC.
The senator has faced calls to quit as minister from within Umno, including from influential former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
