Charlie got 3rd in the Cat 3 race, and we had two other top 10 finishes: Sean in [...]]]> Many of us had our first official race of the season at Quadcross – and some of us had our first race EVER! Everyone did a great job, hung out, and looked rad in our new kits. Charlie got 3rd in the Cat 3 race, and we had two other top 10 finishes: Sean in the Cat 4 men’s race, and Rebekah in the cat 3/4 women’s race!

Here’s what one of our first-time racers, Alan (a.k.a. Uncle Robot) had to say about his first race:

“Sunday was my first race. I’ve wanted to do this for years. Cross country running was my high school sport so as an urban biker of 40 years (do you punks have a clue what it was like biking in the 70’s?) I am totally in love with CX! I made a few mistakes Sunday so only completed 5 laps but I beat a couple of other guys. I’ll do better next race! I had to laugh at the start – the organizer told us 55+ plus guys to back up to the pond as though we were under water at the start. Nope, no holding us down!”
