Lyrics
Hey what's your name?
Do you feel the same way too?
Siphon fuel don't make a sound
And most of all don't let me down
It comes as no surprise
We're destabilized
Lock eyes shared plan
No C.I.A. could understand
Defile define critique and salve
No C.I.A. no N.S.A
No satellite could map our veins

&quot;Long Division&quot; is a song by the influential Washington, D.C. post-hardcore band Fugazi. It is the seventh track on their second full-length studio album, Steady Diet of Nothing, which was released in 1991 on their independent record label, Dischord Records.

Steady Diet of Nothing is the second studio album by American post-hardcore band Fugazi, released in July 1991 by Dischord Records. Although a persistent rumor alleges that the title is an allusion to a quote by the late American stand-up comedian Bill Hicks,[1] the album title predates the Hicks quote by several years and was actually thought up by bassist Joe Lally.

Lyrics
It's a long time coming
It's a long way down
It's long division
Crack and divide

This is a parting
Some separation
We lay in pieces
Cracked to survive

[Verse 2]
I'm not your villain
Not your adversary
I'm not your reason
To crack and divide

It's long division
It's long division
It's long division
Crack and divide

Lyrics
I'm not playing with you
I'm not playing with you
I'm not playing with you, yeah, you
I'm not playing with you
I'm not playing with you
I'm not playing with you, yeah, you
I'm not playing with you
I'm not playing with you
I'm not playing with you
I clean forgot how to play
But you can still come around
In fact I invite you down
Maybe together
We can wipe that smile off your face
'Cause what a difference
What a difference
What a difference
A little difference would make
We'll draw a blueprint
It must be easy
It's just a matter
Of knowing when to say no or yes
Frustrating, frustrating
Always waiting for the bigger axe to fall
A patient game I can't find my way to play
Find my way to play
Not knowing
Never mind what's been selling
It's what you're buying
And receiving undefiled
Never mind what's been selling
It's what you're buying
And receiving undefiled
Never mind what's been selling
It's what you're buying
And receiving undefiled
Never mind what's been selling
It's what you're buying
Receiving undefiled
Never mind
Never mind
Never mind
Not knowing to play
Never mind
Never mind
Never mind
Not knowing to play
Never mind
Never mind
Never mind
Not knowing to play
Never mind
Never mind
Never mind
Lost the way
Not knowing to play
Not knowing

Lyrics:
on the morning of the first eviction
they carried out the wishes of the landlord and his son
furniture's out on the sidewalk next to the family that little piggie went to market,
so they're kicking out everyone
talking about process and dismissal forced removal of the people
on the corner shelter and location
everybody wants somewhere
the elected are such willing partners
look who's buying all their tickets to the game
development wants, development gets
it's official
development wants this neighborhood
gone so the city just wants the same talking about process and dismissal
forced removal of the people on the corner shelter and location
everybody wants somewhere everybody watns somewhere

Due to the title, rumors began circulating at the time that it was to be their last release.

Lyrics:
lights out for the cynical sharps for their wide-eyed foils and all attendant props supporters of flash and pan-fried fucks who grease like cops throwing round their weight and i feel dangerous and vexed swinging two ton second guess and every motion just cuts too cruel too cruel and the implication is that you're implicated like a caustic acrostic spelling out your name lights out 'cause i can see in the dark sidewind m way to the mark of fuse lines gas-wet for a spark i crash i burn i've fully lost it anyway and you're nowhere lights out loser

LYRICS:
This is a birthday pony
This is a strange kind of rest
Because I feel like a guest
When I'm right here at home
I'm not right here at home
I opened up these accounts
All these separate accounts
Because I can't comprehend
The single ride to the end
I needed something to do
And so I split into two
But now the pattern takes hold
I find I'm losing control
Laugh boy
I don't want to be free
This is a birthday pony

&quot;Smallpox Champion&quot; is a song by the American post-hardcore band Fugazi. It was released in 1993 on their third studio album, In on the Kill Taker. The song is noted for its politically charged lyrics, which condemn the historical actions of the United States toward Native Americans.

In on the Kill Taker is the third full-length studio album by the American post-hardcore band Fugazi. It was released on June 30, 1993, through Dischord Records and was recorded at Inner Ear Studios and produced by Ted Niceley and Don Zientara. In on the Kill Taker captured the aggressiveness of the band's earlier releases while displaying a more diverse range of influences.

LYRICS:
Smallpox champion, US of A
Give natives some blankets, warm like the grave
This is the pattern cut from the cloth
This is the pattern designed to take you right out

[Chorus]
Right out, right out, right out
Right out, right out
Right out, right out, right out, right out
Right out, right out

[Verse 2]
This is the frontier, winter's so cold
Greed informs action where action makes bold
To take all the cotton that's cut from the stalk
Weave in the disease that's gonna wipe you right out

[Chorus]
Right out, right out, right out
Right out, right out
Right out, right out, right out, right out
Right out, right out

[Bridge]
What is good for the future? What was good for the past?
What is good for the future won't last
What is good for the future? What was good for the past?
What is good for the future won't last

THE KILL Lyrics:
Born into race and nation
Accept family and obligation
I'm not a citizen, I'm not a citizen

Embrace tradition and occupation
Cull memory for assimilation
Secure for future generations
Secure for future generations
I'm not a citizen, I'm not a citizen
I'm not a citizen, I'm not a citizen

Laying in this cold field
Waiting for the call
Feeling right here in this uniform
I think I got them all

Academic or street education
Obtain degree in annihilation
I'm not a citizen, I'm not a citizen
I'm not a citizen, I'm not a citizen

Laying down in chambers
Waiting for the call
Seen your kind so many times
You got no chance at all
See upcoming rock shows
Get tickets for your favorite artists

Laid out immobile
Hoping for that call
It's in my mouth, under my skin
Sodium pentathol
Sodium pentathol
Sodium pentathol
Sodium pentathol

Kristin Hersh's song &quot;Your Dirty Answer,&quot; from her 2001 solo album Sunny Border Blue, explores feelings of fatigue, emotional co-dependency, and frustration. The lyrics describe a narrator exhausted by a one-sided relationship, unable to get a clear or honest response from the other person.

Lyrics
You know how it feels when the real world encroaches
Rubbing elbows with the unemployed and you
You're so beautiful
You're so rude
Peeling mangos on a fold out couch
I'm scooped out
You're inscrutable
You're all mine
Swimming is a 'lude
Wine opens your mind
Your guitar's a race car
Sex is your best friend
What's your dirty answer?
My fantasies are unloved histories
You know what it's like when mistakes go unmade
It was beautiful
It was you
I'm giving up the ugly
I thought you'd make pretty
I'll be goddamned
This is beautiful
Hold my hand
Swimming is a 'lude
Wine opens your mind
Your guitar's a race car
Sex is your best friend
What's your dirty answer ?
I don't judge people
I just watch them 'til it's time to look away
I want to look away now
Somebody's coming
I don't want to look backwards,
I don't want to even look backwards
It's not my fault
It's not my fault you don't love me
It's not my fault you don't love me
When I'm drunk
I'm wiped
I'm so tired
Carry me for a little while

&quot;37 Hours&quot; is a song by Kristin Hersh that appears on her 2001 solo album, Sunny Border Blue. It was released by the record label 4AD.
The song is characterized by its melancholy tone, acoustic guitar, and Hersh's raw, emotional vocal delivery. The lyrics are open to interpretation but have been noted for their poetic and sometimes uncomfortable honesty, reflecting on complex relationships and Hersh's personal struggles.

Lyrics:

By now, I should know where you're going
By now I should but I don't
You're better off wherever you are off to
Agile or stoned

By now, I should wake you when I'm hungry
Right now I should but I'm not
We could be a silkworm tightrope
We could but we're not

I don't want this to be over
You're what I do
Every day the only thing
That makes any sense
Your liver twisting logic's
Far and away the smartest thing

I don't know where I am
Plus I don't know when I am
'Cause you insist on using fucked-up military time
'Cause you are better off alone

I've been right here for 37 hours

I dropped a cigarette in my shoe
And dove in the water
Then I swam until my hair dreaded
Like flying on fire
That day I quit smoking and swimming
I heard some advice from above
Ducking under, cramming it in
Isn't falling in love

I don't want this to be over
You're what I do
Everyday the only thing
That makes any sense
Your liver twisting logic
Far and away the smartest thing

I don't know where I am
Plus I don't know when I am
'Cause you insist on using fucked-up military time
'Cause you are better off alone

I've been right here for 37 hours

&quot;Caffeine&quot; is a song by American singer-songwriter Kristin Hersh, released on her 1999 solo album, Sky Motel. The track, produced by Hersh and Trina Shoemaker, is part of her catalog of indie and folk-influenced music.

&quot;Caffeine&quot;
(written by Kristin Hersh)

The best of us, puking
The rest of us, not doing so well
You can tell by the way
We look over your shoulder
Watching for the next big thing
Caffeine in the blood
Caffeine on the brain
Bad well water
Set off a chain reaction
A desperate set of principles
I wish we were lonely
I wish we were boring
It's so much easier
You're driving and I am your backseat shadow
The radio keeps playing
The radio keeps saying
&quot;Nothing lost and nothing gained&quot;
But if you don't like it then leave
What if you won't take it from me?
I can soothe you soon
I can soothe you soon
I feel your heart beating
I hear your soft breathing</media:description>

Kristin Hersh's song &quot;Heaven&quot; appears on her 1998 solo album, Strange Angels. The acoustic, indie-rock album was released by 4AD in the UK and Sire Records in the US.
The song's title can sometimes be confused with the Throwing Muses' album Red Heaven, released in 1992. &quot;Heaven&quot; was also released on a 2003 live album, Live at Noe Valley Ministry.

In the race but out of step
You struggle to hold up your head
Like a river, you fight your own bed

I'm needing backyard sanctuary
I'm on break time
Where the sissies hang

Looking for oil in the sand
Like a river you gouge out the land
Like a drummer who fights the wrong band

I'm needing backyard sanctuary
I'm on break time
Where the sissies hang

This is heaven
This is heaven
This is heaven
Where the sissies hang

A hot shower on a hot day
Water hangs in the air like you stayed
Like you never went down your own drain

I'm doing rain and hurricane
I am airborne
Where the kisses fly
