Today is the first day of the longest vacation I've ever had. That's not to say I won't be working. I don't think that's possible. But it does mean that I'll be out of the office working on some other things. 

I have two projects I'm working on in 2011 that I'm really excited about.

Sleepless Syndicate is an idea my buddy Brad and I have been working on for a little while that focuses entirely on tour press. I don't see any independent publicists offering this exclusively, so there seems to be a void that could use some filling. 

Bitten Kitchen is a project I'll be working on with my better half, Courtney Tobey. I cannot stop her from baking, so I suggested we start a blog about her experiements and sell the successful ones online via Etsy. She agreed. 

With the time away from the office until early next year, I'll have some time to spend on this. Anyone else eager to start working on 2011 projects?

I make it a point to never rally behind anyone spouting this or that on television. I avoid meaningless political and religious debates on purpose because they rarely have a productive end. Being involved with both the radical punks and christian music scenes over the years, I can't even put into words the kinds of things I've heard people say or have tried to get me to subscribe to. 


That said, I'll go ahead and break my own rule. I don't know much about this guy, other than his monologues are awesome. Anyone with half a brain or a smidgen of knowledge of how television works will know that he has a team of spectacular writers behind the scene. Whatever, it's still spot on. This short rant on the plans to build an Islamic Center in downtown Manhattan is delivered fresh and clean. I couldn't put it better myself.
