Cops Say: Church of Scientology Cross Necklace That Missing Orlando Mom Michele Parker Wore May Be Key Evidence.

ORLANDO, Fla. WFTV-9— A picture of a 33-year-old missing mother of three wearing a cross necklace was released on Wednesday, and Orlando police said the necklace may be a key piece of evidence in the case.

Michelle Parker went missing on Thursday hours after an episode of "The People's Court" aired where she appeared with her ex-fiance, Dale Smith, to argue about an engagement ring.

Parker’s family confirmed to police that she was wearing the same cross necklace at the time of her disappearance. Police said the necklace may be a key piece of evidence, and if anyone has found the necklace or has information, they should contact CrimeLine at 1-800-423-TIPS.

TIMELINE THURSDAY NOV. 17TH, 2011[
3:15 p.m.: Video surveillance in an east Orange County neighborhood captured Michelle Parker driving to Dale Smith Jr.'s home to drop off their 3-year-old twins. Just minutes before she arrived, Parker and Smith, her ex-fiance, appeared in a previously taped episode of the "The People's Court" during which they argued about a lost $5,000 engagement ring.
She was wearing a silver-cross necklace, see above — a detail revealed Wednesday — jeans and a Florida Gator's zip-up hoodie.

•4:26 p.m.: Parker's brother, Dustin Erickson, received a text message from his sister's iPhone suggesting that she was in the Waterford Lakes area, also on the county's east side.

8 p.m.: Parker's iPhone 'pinged' in the area of Oak ridge Road near Belle Isle, more than seven miles from where she was last seen. Her phone was powered down in that area and has not been recovered.

The next day, police found Parker's H3 Hummer in the parking lot of Walden Palms Apartments, 4700 Walden Circle. Decals for her Glow mobile-tanning business had been removed from the windows. From there, the trail has gone cold.

KAREN SWIFT UPDATE..Sunday, November 20, 2011 Dyersburg State Gazette Newspaper; On Saturday, approximately 50 searchers from several different counties continued the search for evidence in the missing-person case of Karen Swift. Saturday's search did not produce any major evidence.

Dyer County Emergency Management Director James Medling, in conjunction with the Dyer County Sheriff's Department, coordinated the search, which included members of the Dyer County Rescue Squad, Dyer County volunteer firefighters, the Obion County Rescue Squad, the Lauderdale County Rescue Squad, the Lake County Rescue Squad, the Paris-Henry County Rescue Squad, Gibson County Fire and Rescue, as well as a few local volunteers.

Searchers used boats on both the river and the lake and some were equipped with sonar to detect shapes underwater. Nothing was found.

FBI Report on Serial Killers; The majority of serial killers are not reclusive, social misfits who live alone. They are not monsters and may not appear strange. Many serial killers hide in plain sight within their communities. Serial murderers often have families and homes, are gainfully employed, and appear to be normal members of the community. Because many serial murderers can blend in so effortlessly, they are oftentimes overlooked by law enforcement and the public.

Serial killers who do travel interstate and long distances to kill fall into the following categories:
• Itinerant individuals who move from place to place.
• Homeless individuals who are transients.
• Individuals whose employment lends itself to interstate or transnational travel, such as truck drivers or those in military service. The difference between these types of offenders and other serial murderers is the nature of their traveling lifestyle, which provides them with many zones of comfort in which to operate.

For the most part, serial murder involves strangers with no visible relationship between the offender and the victim. This distinguishes a serial murder investigation as a more nebulous undertaking than that of other crimes. Since the investigations generally lack an obvious connection between the offender and the victim, investigators instead attempt to discern the motivations behind the murders, as a way to narrow their investigative focus.

An offender selects a victim, regardless of the category, based upon availability, vulnerability, and desirability. Availability is explained as the lifestyle of the victim or circumstances in which the victim is involved, that allow the offender access to the victim. Vulnerability is defined as the degree to which the victim is susceptible to attack by the offender. Desirability is described as the appeal of the victim to the offender. Desirability involves numerous factors based upon the motivation of the offender and may include factors dealing with the race, gender, ethnic background, age of the victim, or other specific preferences the offender determines, such as "petite blonde females".

1). Aug 11, 2010 ...Authorities in Flint MI announced that a lone serial killer, white male, was responsible for 13 stabbings in the Michigan city. Among them, five men died. On Monday, the case in Michigan expanded, and authorities announced their belief that the serial killer is responsible for two additional stabbings in Michigan, as well as three recent attacks in Leesburg, Va., and one in Toledo, Ohio that targeted African-American males, his ID unknown.

2). Ted Bundy was a serial killer with victims in Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Theodore Robert "Ted" Bundy (born Theodore Robert Cowell; November 24, 1946 – January 24, 1989) was an American serial killer, rapist, kidnapper, and necrophile who assaulted and murdered numerous young women during the 1970s, and possibly earlier. After more than a decade of denials, he confessed shortly before his execution to 30 homicides committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978; the true total remains unknown, and could be much higher.

3). Angel Maturino Reséndiz, aka The Railroad Killer/The Railway Killer (August 1, 1960 – June 27, 2006), was an itinerant Mexican serial killer responsible for as many as thirty murders across the United States and Mexico during the 1990s. Some also involved sexual assault. He became known as "The Railroad (or Railway) Killer" as most of his crimes were committed near railroads where he had jumped off the trains he was using to travel about the country, with known murders in Florida, Kentucky and Texas.

4). Ricardo "Richard" Muñoz Ramírez (born February 29th 1960 in El Paso, Texas) is a convicted serial killer awaiting execution on California's death row at San Quentin State Prison. Prior to his capture, Ramírez was dubbed the "Night Stalker" by the news media as he terrorized California from LA to San Francisco (470 miles). On August 6 Ramírez shot both Christopher Petersen, 38, and his wife, Virginia, 27, in the head. Miraculously, they both survived. On August 8, 1985 Ramírez attacked a Diamond Bar couple, fatally shooting Ahmed Zia, 35, before raping, sodomizing, and forcing Zia's wife, Suu Kyi, 28, to perform fellatio on him. The description of their attacker fit the previous ones given for "The Walk-in Killer". Ramírez then left the Los Angeles area, and on August 17 1985, he shot to death a 66-year-old man in San Francisco, also shooting and beating his wife.

5). Zodiac Killer, In the late 1960′s the Zodiac Killer traveled from Napa, CA near San Francisco to Riverside, CA near Los Angeles and then back to the San Francisco area a distance of over 470 miles one way, to commit some of his crimes. She was living in the Daytona Beach area, but she hitchhiked along highways all over central and north Florida as a prostitute. Wuornos’s father, Leo Dale Pittman, was a child molester and a sociopath who was strangled in prison in 1969. Between December 1989 and September 1990, the bodies of several men were found murdered along the highways of northern and central Florida covering in excess of a 400 mile radius.

The Zodiac Killer was a serial killer who operated mostly in Northern California in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The killer’s identity remains unknown. The Zodiac murdered victims in Riverside (near LA) Benicia, Vallejo, Lake Berryessa and San Francisco between December 1968 and October 1969. Four men and three women between the ages of 16 and 29 were targeted.

The killer originated the name “Zodiac” in a series of taunting letters sent to the local Bay Area press. These letters included four cryptograms (or ciphers). Of the four cryptograms sent, only one has been confirmed to have been decoded.

Numerous suspects have been named by law enforcement and amateur investigators, but no conclusive evidence has surfaced. In April 2004, the San Francisco Police Department marked the case “inactive,” yet re-opened the case at some point prior to March 2007. The case also remains open in the city of Vallejo, as well as in Napa County and Solano County.

The California Department of Justice has maintained an open case file on the Zodiac murders since 1969.

Cheri Jo Bates, 18: stabbed to death and nearly decapitated on October 30, 1966, at Riverside City College in Riverside CA (Near LA). Bates’ possible connection to the Zodiac only appeared four years after her murder when San Francisco Chronicle reporter Paul Avery received a tip regarding similarities between the Zodiac killings and the circumstances surrounding Bates’ death.

At the time of the murder Lee Allen was a school teacher in Calaveras County, Cal. — about 400 miles away. But nearly every weekend he traveled to Riverside where he was a car club member. On the Monday following Bates’ murder, Allen did not go to work. If Allen did commit the murder, he might have needed to allow time for scratches on his face to heal.

The Zodiac Killer was a serial killer who operated mostly in Northern California in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The killer's identity remains unknown. The Zodiac murdered victims in Riverside (near LA) Benicia, Vallejo, Lake Berryessa and San Francisco between December 1968 and October 1969. Four men and three women between the ages of 16 and 29 were targeted. The killer originated the name "Zodiac" in a series of taunting letters sent to the local Bay Area press. These letters included four cryptograms (or ciphers). Of the four cryptograms sent, only one has been confirmed to have been decoded.

Numerous suspects have been named by law enforcement and amateur investigators, but no conclusive evidence has surfaced. In April 2004, the San Francisco Police Department marked the case "inactive," yet re-opened the case at some point prior to March 2007. The case also remains open in the city of Vallejo, as well as in Napa County and Solano County.The California Department of Justice has maintained an open case file on the Zodiac murders since 1969.

Cheri Jo Bates, 18: stabbed to death and nearly decapitated on October 30, 1966, at Riverside City College in Riverside CA (Near LA). Bates' possible connection to the Zodiac only appeared four years after her murder when San Francisco Chronicle reporter Paul Avery received a tip regarding similarities between the Zodiac killings and the circumstances surrounding Bates' death.

At the time of the murder Allen was a school teacher in Calaveras County, Cal. -- about 400 miles away. But nearly every weekend he traveled to Riverside where he was a car club member. On the Monday following Bates' murder, Allen did not go to work. If Allen did commit the murder, he might have needed to allow time for scratches on his face to heal.

On November 9th, I had a heart breaking conversation with one of the mothers of the five pretty blonde women who have been kidnapped, that’s right kidnapped, from Dyersburg TN, Fairfield OH, Bloomington IN, Darden TN, and Florence KY. It appears that the families of the missing women, Karen Swift, Holly Bobo, Lauren Spierer, Paige Johnson and Kate Markham are in the dark about any leads in thier cases from the cops.

From information in the conversation today with the mother of one of the kidnapped pretty blonde females it appears that there is only one FBI agent working her case, what the hell ? How do you tell the FBI to “connect the dots”.

(CBS/AP) PITTSBURGH - An Idaho man accused of firing two shots at the White House last week has been charged with attempting to assassinate President Barack Obama or his staff.

Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, made his first court appearance before a federal magistrate in Pittsburgh on Thursday, one day after he was arrested at a western Pennsylvania hotel. He will be taken back from a federal court in Pittsburgh to face the charges in Washington, D.C.

Ortega will remain in federal custody at least until a magistrate in Washington can determine if he should remain jailed until his trial on the charge, which carries up to life in prison. Ortega sat quietly as the hearing began, his hands free but his feet shackled. The 21-year-old said only, "Yes, ma'am" when he was asked if he understood that he would be going back to Washington to face the charge.

Authorities said a man clad in black who was obsessed with Obama pulled his car within view of the White House on Friday night and fired shots from an assault rifle (AK-47 type), cracking a window of the first family's living quarters while the president was away.

Soon after, U.S. Park Police found an abandoned vehicle, with an assault rifle inside it, a Romanian Cugir SA With Scope Max Range 2 Miles, near a bridge leading out of the nation's capital to Virginia. Law enforcement officials say they don't believe there's any connection between two missing women's cases - Tennessee nursing student Holly Bobo who was abducted in April 2011 and Indiana fashion student Lauren Spierer who vanished in June 2011.
In a Crime Scene USA blog post of June 29 the writer talks about the similarities of these two cases – of two beautiful, young, blonde, petite women in the prime of their lives.

The blog post states the similarities are chilling. A student at the university where Lauren attended classes before she vanished said they look so much alike he thought a photo he saw of Holly on a flyer was Lauren, see photo above.

NYPD Cops are seething at the CBS drama “Blue Bloods” for including a scene that reworked one of the NYPD’s darkest chapters, without acknowledging the violent death of an officer and the fact that his murderers were allowed to flee.

NYPD Officer Philip Cardillo was fatally wounded April 14, 1972, after answering a fake 911 call of a cop in trouble inside Nation of Islam Mosque No. 7 at 102 W. 116th St. New York NY.

Cardillo died on April 20, and there were never any convictions in the case. In the Nov. 4 episode of the cop drama “Blue Bloods”, a similar scene was filmed in the same mosque -- only instead of the officer dying, he was simply knocked out cold.

In August 2010, An NYPD detective invited to a community meeting about concerns of police brutality was refused entry into Harlem Nation of Islam Mosque No. 7 because he refused to relinquish his badge and his gun, police said.

Det. Martin Brown, of NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly's liaison unit, arrived at the Nation of Islam's No. 7 Mosque in time for Friday's community meeting, only to be greeted by organizers who informed him that his weapon and shield were not welcome inside. "Det. Brown was invited to the mosque but refused to comply with the request that he enter without his weapon or shield," NYPD spokeswoman Kim Royster said. ABC 24 NEWS, DYERSBURG, TN (abc24.com) - The TBI is stepping up efforts to find a missing Dyersburg woman Karen Swift who disappeared nearly two weeks ago. Now investigators are bringing in heavy duty equipment to help with the search. "As far as releasing that, we can't afford to do that. It'll jeopardize the investigation,” Sheriff Box tells abc24.com.

"I think every day we're closer, and we're not getting discouraged," says Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box. Dyer County investigators are holding out hope as they gather needed clues into the disappearance of Karen Swift. The only real clue so far, is Swift's car.

"There’s nothing to indicate a struggle. No blood," says the sheriff. The car was found about a mile from Swift's home. Detectives did find clothes inside. Those items were sent to the Tennessee State Crime Lab for review. Investigators are also looking over Swift's phone records.

Box did say one of the last people Karen Swift was in touch with before she disappeared was her teenage daughter. She sent a text message to her mom saying, “Mom come get me.” Authorities say Karen Swift picked up her daughter from a Halloween party. According to investigators, they arrived home between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Sunday, October 30th. Later that morning, Karen Swift was gone.

“It's really weird. We really worry," says neighbor Brad Fuller. Fuller has good reason to be worried. Theresa Gross, Holly Bobo, and now Karen Swift, are three West Tennessee women who vanished this year without a trace. “It's awfully weird," says Fuller. "Three women come up missing. No one's seen them, no one heard from them, and they vanished like they got picked up off the Earth." UPDATE...Disabled mom Theresa Gross found safe Feb 2nd 2011, Investigators say a Memphis police officer found Theresa Gross, a disabled, she wears a leg brace, mother of three who had been missing for nearly a week, Theresa Gross was listed as 5'11" and 180 lbs. The 42-year-old went missing on Jan. 29, after telling her family members she was on her way to Millington’s Haystack Bar on Hwy. 51.

Theresa Gross did not fit the profile of five petite blonde haired women who have gone missing in the last 13 months. Karen Swift is a very young looking white female with long blonde hair, she joins four other very young white females with long blonde hair, Holly Bobo, Lauren Spierer, Paige Johnson and Katelyn Markham who have vanished without a trace from the Quad-State area of Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. All of these “abducted” females look-alike with almost identical features. All of the five missing women listed above are very petite, 4' 11" to 5' 5" tall and from 95 lbs to 135 lbs in weight.
