I Heard The Lord Say, "Be Patient, Your Nation Is Having Major Heart Surgery. Stay In The Waiting Room and Pray."

I remember when my mother had major by-pass heart surgery in her seventies. The doctors came to us in the waiting area and told us these words, "Because of what she just went through, she's not going to look very good to you, but she looks great to us!"

I sense the Lord saying, "Be patient with your nation and remember I am not a Republican or Democrat, I AM that I AM. I AM working on a whole nation and everyone is a work in process. Don't judge, for I AM not finished working on anyone. I am working in the Fox News Room, CNN News Room and all the other News networks and radio, TV outlets, and media. I'm going for the heart of this nation or it will surely die, unless I complete surgery on it's heart."

"Stop grumbling and complaining. It can delay and even cancel this Kairos moment as your nation is on My operating table. Speak life and become love to every person. Embrace your opposition and enemies so they will experience My arms of love surrounding them. Protest the devil, not people."

"What appears to be chaos and gross darkness to you, are the instruments I pick up in My hands and use to give new hearts to nations. Nothing is being wasted in the hands of your Redeemer. Your heart is also included in this surgery. Trust Me and tell your heart to beat again!"

Is Your Family Tree Being Shaken?

2016 - Plan On God Using You Like Never Before

God is going to use you this coming year like never before. Make plans for it. If the Lord has called you to write, write. If it's painting, paint. If speaking, speak. If doors don't open for you to speak anywhere, go out in the woods and speak to the trees. You will soon see trees as men walking. Speak to the mountains and you will start seeing them move, even in your own life. Billy Graham started by preaching to cows. God plans on using you this coming year like no other generation.

The first reason is: The Lord needs you more than ever in a world that is falling apart. The second reason: The lost will be calling on you, asking you to give the reason for the hope that is in you. My Favorite Flower Is An Iris.

One morning during a three month sabbatical I was walking to my prayer room passing by our bay window that was filled with beautiful flowers called Irises. They were in full bloom, shouting a grand finale of colors and majesty. As I walked past them, I heard the Lord whisper. "Bill, I want you to sit down and behold the flowers." As I did, I found myself mesmerized by their beauty and I began to repeat their name out loud..."Iris, Iris, Iris and then out came, "I Rest!"

It's the first time a flower ever preached to me. I kept gazing upon their glory and studied them. I couldn't find one flower that looked like it was struggling. I couldn't find one flower that looked like it was worried. Have you ever seen a flower that looked worried? ( unless you don't water it ) These flowers were just being and growing into what God had called them to be with no struggle, no sweat and no worry. They looked like they were rejoicing.

The Lord spoke through those Irises saying. "Bill, I am calling you to rest in Me. As you rest in Me you will naturally grow into all that I've called you to be. There is a rest to them that believe. You not only must believe in Me but believe Me to bring to pass what I have spoken to you. I am the faithful one who has called you who will also do it. Only believe."

A Glimpse of Heaven

I spoke at my mother's church last Sunday. It was the first time she wasn't there when I ministered. She moved to another location. She's in her mansion just over the hill top, in that bright land where we'll never grow old.

Her new address is 'Glory Hallelujah' along the streets of gold. And she hasn't stopped dancing since she left here. And she doesn't want to come back. I can hear her saying, "Make sure you get up here. This place is something else. I can't describe it. You'll have to come see it for yourself."

I know now what my mother experienced a split second before she left this world. She got a glimpse of heaven and it took her breath away.

I Am Releasing My Glory Through Rough, Unpolished Diamonds In The Earth

Diamonds In The Rough Are Rising In Demand In The Jewelry Market and In God's Kingdom.

I read an article published by The Wall Street Journal with the title, "'Rough' diamonds -- some looking more like gravel than gems -- edge into the jewelry market." Here are some excerpts taken from that article, "A new look in diamond jewelry is on the rise...Known as rough diamonds, these are the stones in their natural state, before they've been cut with the facets that give diamonds the sparkle, brilliance and clarity they are known for...Luxury consumers are maturing "beyond the 'look at me' phase."

As I read this article I sensed the Father saying, "I'll buy that. Many of My people have hindered My glory from moving throughout the earth. They have become enamored with perfection, waiting to be cut just perfectly before they think the world will see Me in them. Many have become like diamonds waiting to be cut and polished until no earthly resemblance is left in them. Many then get stranded inside of My house thinking if they go into the world, something earthly could stain and cause My shine to fade."

"But now, I am releasing My glory into the earth as I release My diamonds in the rough. Many of these vessels who seem more 'earthy' than others will begin to shine even brighter as My glory pierces through these cracked and seemingly broken vessels. The defects in some earthen vessels will actually give way to more of My glory shining through them."

The most valuable fine cut diamonds in the world can only be seen in museums under lock and key and can never be touched by human hands. Diamonds in the "rough" can turn up anywhere and can be touched by anyone. Be careful who you think has a lot of earth left in them after they are redeemed...there may be a larger diamond under all that earth!

2 Corinthians 4:7, "If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with us. As it is, there's not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we're not much to look at..." ( Message Bible )

"America, Is That a Prayer On Your Lips That I Hear... and Is That a Tear In Your Eye?"

In the Spirit I saw hair-line cracks appearing on the marble floor of the White House.

As I saw these hair-line cracks begin to appear on that marble floor, I sensed the Lord speaking from Job 14:7, 8, 9. "For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will grow again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant."

I sensed the Lord saying, "As Samson's hair began to grow again, so are the spiritual roots of this nation." As I saw the cracking of the floor increase, it was like the very foundation of deception and greed was beginning to be dismantled...exposing the enemy! (The enemy is not flesh and blood but Satan.)

I said to the Lord, "What has caused these spiritual roots to begin to grow again at this time?" I sensed the Father saying, "I have collected in a bottle every tear that swelled up in every eye that has mourned for this nation. These tears in My bottle are now being poured out over America causing her roots of righteousness to begin to spring forth in the land.

'Paramedic Angels'

In the Spirit I saw what appeared to be 'paramedic angels' dispatched, dropping from the heavens as in parachutes, landing on the front lawn of the White House. It seemed that those grass roots of righteousness that began to crack the White House floor had set off an alarm in hell, summoning these angels with urgency to surround the White House.

I saw multitudes of other angels descending upon and filling up the mall of the nation's capitol. I saw that these were Second Chronicles 7:14, 15, 16 angels who had the scripture written all over them..."If My people who are called by My name shall humble themselves and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

Warring on Corporate Prayer

These 'Second Chronicles' angels seemed to have had assignments throughout the ages to descend upon nations that were in critical time frames where a nation seemed to be hanging in the balance. These angels warred solely and strictly on 'corporate prayer' only! I sensed they had come to Washington, D.C., but now were given orders to wait on the rising tide of 'corporate prayer' from the heart of America.

Some certain angels were released into war for a nation only through tears...nothing else moved these ones. Not even prayer, unless tears were mixed with them.

I asked the Lord, "Father, why 'paramedic angels'? I have never heard of them." I sensed He responded, "I plan to give mouth to mouth resuscitation to America and kiss her face again!"

"Oh America...is that a prayer on your lips that I hear... and is that a tear in your eye?"

God Is Calling Forth The 'Edge Pushers'

I sense the Father saying, “I am going to do fearless exploits with those who are ‘wired’ different. Some will seem to have ‘no wiring’ at all.” They will be famous for not being normal because they weren’t born normal. They were born to push the edge back off of their families, cities and nations. They will also push the edge back and break off every limitation that My present day church has put on itself.”

“I am sending these ‘unique‘ ones who will be the forerunners in routing every religious spirit out of My House. They will break the rules when it comes to reaching the lost. But don’t judge them. You may be shaking your head ‘no’ to the next move of My fearless exploits in reaching the harvest.”


If you’ve ever felt ‘not normal’, ‘wired different’, or have ‘no wiring’ at all. You may be in this sacred number.

God Is Renaming You. Your New Name Shall Be Called 'CONFIDENCE.'

Before getting up to minister recently, my wife sensed that I was battling intimidation. She leaned over to me and whispered, "Your new name is 'Confidence!' Immediately, a lion roared on the inside of me and an alarm went off in hell. I rose up to minister and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah took over the meeting.

I believe the Lord is renaming you today. Your new name is 'Confidence!' 'You shall no longer be called wounded, outcast, lonely or afraid. You shall be called 'Confidence, Joyfulness, Overcoming One, Faithfulness, Friend of God. One who seeks My face.' ( song by D.J. Butler )

I Am Going To Redeem The Times That You Said, "NO!" To Me

I believe we all have missed one of those golden opportunities that we said "no" to by being led by feelings instead of faith. Can our disobedience ever be redeemed?

Recently, I blew a silver trumpet to open up a meeting. The Lord showed me that "silver" represents "redemption." When I blew that silver trumpet, I sensed the Lord saying: "I am going to redeem the times that you said, 'No!' to Me! I am going to give you other opportunities! Other opportunities that are going to cause you to forget your regrets.

When I look at you, I see no regrets, for there are other opportunities I am bringing your way. And if you will say 'yes' to these opportunities and follow through, it will produce a hundred-fold first fruits now, more than they would have yesterday or years gone by.

The Lord says, "This is a turn-around day! This is your turn-around day! I am going to turn things around for you. I am going to turn many of you around who have said 'NO' to Me to say 'YES' with joy. For you are now going to delight to do My will. Forget the past. Your past is not your present. The winter is over and gone.

And what has been working against you in the past is now going to work for you! Rejoice, for I have greater opportunities coming for you now than ever before. Opportunities that will restore to you the years the cankerworm and palmerworm have eaten from you."

I'm Getting Souls

In a vision a young man saw the Lord pick up the earth and He began to shake it up and down in His hands. The young man asked the Lord, "What are you doing?" The Lord said, "I'm getting souls! I'm getting souls!"

I sense such a great shaking coming that it will fill most churches. People will line up outside waiting to get in. This shaking alone will cause multitudes of children and grandchildren, who have been prayed for many years, to run like prodigals to Jesus. This shaking alone will do it.

It will be the answer to many prayers for lost loved ones and a great harvest to take place in the earth. As the shaking increases, remember what God is doing: "I'm getting souls!"

When The Devil Says, "You Missed It," You Probably Hit The Bull's Eye!

The devil never wants you to know how much God is using you. He is using you more than you know. Hell trembles because you are still alive. The devil's greatest fear is: You are still here. He has heard how God has rescued you and changed your life.

He heard about the fiery furnace you were in and he saw the fourth man show up. He saw your Red Sea split open. He saw the Lion's Den you were in and saw the mouths of the Lions shut. He has heard about your God who is now causing you to take your family, city and nation. When the devil says, "You missed it," you probably hit the bull's eye!

I Saw 'Angelic' Midwives Interrupting The Spirit Of Abortion

Prayers seemed to have mounted up and taken wings ascending to the throne room, crying out on the behalf of the unborn. I heard many angels conversing, "We just got a breakthrough assignment to deliver the unborn! Tell them to keep crying out and pleading the Blood of Jesus...the spirit of abortion is beginning to be notified, 'Let My Babies Go!'"

"ANGELIC' MIDWIVES ARE BEING ASSIGNED TO HAND DELIVER THE DELIVERERS

It seemed like a season equivalent to when God had called Moses in his mother's womb to be a deliverer to the nation of Israel. In Moses' time Pharaoh sent a decree to destroy every male child being born. But the fear of God came upon the midwives and they saved these babies.

Moses was one of these babies who was delivered. These kind of 'hand delivered' babies deliver nations!

I sense once again a season of intervention is in where the fear of God is beginning to fall on abortion clinics as 'angelic' midwives are now being assigned to doctors and nurse practitioners.

A stronger cry from the throne became even louder for intercession as an angel began proclaiming, "I think we got another Moses here! Another David, another Deborah, and, yes, there is another Esther coming out of that womb! Keep prayer coming up. . . these babies have an anointing for the nations!"

'YOU ARE NOT CARRYING A MISTAKE, YOU ARE CARRYING A MIRACLE'

I saw the Holy Spirit overshadowing many mothers who, like Mary, were overwhelmed what to think and to do next as they were surprised by their pregnancy. But the Holy Spirit began to melt their hearts, as it was revealed by God Himself, "Fear not, that holy thing which shall be born of thee is of Me. You are not carrying a mistake, you are carrying a miracle!"

I saw in the Spirit many babies being offered up for adoption. God had already handpicked married couples and placed His desire in their hearts to extend their families. These children appeared as arrows in their quivers who would eventually speak with the enemies in the gates of their cities and nations!

"Babies unplanned are Heaven's surprises; unplanned by man for Satan's demises!"

Worship Till The Cows Come Home

My mother's life changed forever in a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting when she was eleven years old. Within ten seconds two miracles broke loose, one on each side of her. She got the mindset early in life: 'This is the way my life is going to be.' And it was for ninety years in spite of some hard times. Interestingly, these miracles happened during worship before Kathryn Kuhlman came to the platform.

Kathryn Kuhlman was known to have lengthy worship services to bring down God's power. She once said, "If you only have ten minutes to pray, worship for the first nine minutes." She knew how the power came into the meetings. Then she would say those famous words: "I believe in miracles!" Then healings instantly would break out all over the place. In the balcony. In the basement as people watched on TV monitors. Atheists who didn't believe in God got healed anyhow.

SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO 'HALLELUJAH' ANYHOW

How about you? Do you feel discouraged and unable to praise Him? Do you need a healing or miracle? Hallelujah anyhow! Worship til the cows come home! Worship til the children and grandchildren come home. Worship til your healing comes. Worship til your deliverance gets here. Most of all worship God for who He is and not just for what He can do. For He is God all by Himself.

I once said to the Lord, "I didn't get a thing out of that worship service." He said, "It's cause I got it all!" Hallelujah anyhow.

Angelic Assignments Given To Bring In The Seed Of Praying Mothers!

In the spirit I saw a heavenly rush of Angels gathering. Prayers of mothers crying out for their children seemed to have gathered momentum. These prayers, as though being amplified in the spirit--were pounding, relentlessly shaking the door hinges of Heaven. Heaven itself had been shaken by these violent prayers as though a bear had been robbed of its cubs.

"ANSWER THE FRONT DOOR!" A LOUD VOICE SHOUTED

I heard a loud voice from the Throne shout to the Angels, "Answer the front door! The 'bowl of prayers for children' prayed by their mothers is now full and tipping over! Angels receive your assignments!"

I then saw Angels stand at attention while the names of these children and their personal addresses were being written on them. Some were "on the Street addresses" unknown by man but known by God. There were "prison addresses." Even telephone numbers were being given out to some Angels that would make person to person telephone calls on the earth to some of these children.

Some assignments of angels unaware were just to make phone calls and speak to their heart things that nobody else knew. On the streets pay phones would ring and homeless children on the streets would be led to answer these phones ringing and receive a call from Heaven.

ANGELS ON SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS TO COMFORT MOTHERS

Special assignments were given to many Angels to come down and strengthen and comfort mothers. I heard the Lord say to the Angels: "Speak comfortably to the mothers and say your warfare is accomplished. I will speak to the north to give them up and to the south to hold them back no longer. I will bring them from the east and west. I will save your Children!"

Isaiah 59:21 "As for Me, this is My covenant with them, saith the Lord. My Spirit that is upon thee, and My words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and forever."

Did You Notice America Saw No July 4th Fireworks Until It Was Dark Enough?

While singing the song, 10,000 reasons, this verse gripped me, "Let me be singing when the evening comes." I don't know about you but I want to be singing when the evening comes. It's easy to sing in the morning but in the evening is when darkness sets in. Did you notice America saw no July 4th fireworks until it was dark enough? I can imagine 10,000 children asking their parents, "Daddy, Mommy, when will the fireworks start?" Parents in vain tried to explain to their children, "It's not dark enough!" I wonder if there's a blessing about darkness that we as God's children don't understand yet?

Did you notice when the fireworks began you no longer focused on the dark night but were mesmerized by the awesome bright lights exploding, sounding like giant boom boxes penetrating the dark sky and shaking the earth? The darkness only enhanced and seemed to energize the fireworks as they danced on heaven's ceiling. As I watched, I sensed the Lord saying, "Bill, that's you! That's My people. The world will begin to see My people like fireworks in their darkest night.

I'm setting the stage using the backdrop of gross darkness. So far the world has only heard the enemy play his out of tune instrument since he fell like lighting from heaven. He lost his place in the choir. But I have an orchestra about to be heard from in the nations. And this is the part where My grand finale comes in to be seen and heard from. My explosive fireworks will cause multitudes to look up and be in awe and draw them out of darkness. My salvation, healing, deliverance, and glory captivating those in darkness will begin to fall down upon them shaking the earth.

Keep singing and worshiping Me as the evening comes. You are My grand finale in the darkness.

I Heard The Lord Say, "I Weep For This World, Yet There's Excitement In My Tears."

I have been feeling overwhelmed at the exceedingly sinful course this world has taken. A collision course with something, somewhere. But during my worship time I heard the Lord say, "I'm excited!" I said, "Lord, what did you say?" He said, "I'm excited!" I said, "How could you be excited? All I see is chaos and gross darkness." He said, "I don't waste chaos. And I don't waste gross darkness. I use them."

"From your perspective the world looks like it's falling apart. From mine it's a grieving but wonderful sight. I see treasures in the darkness and greater treasures to come forth from the gross darkness. Weren't you praying for your light to shine brighter? Stay focused on Me and your light will increase to see the treasures I see."

He then said, "Son, you are right. This world is on a collision course. It's on a collision course with the greatest outpouring of My Spirit. The earth is coming into its fullness for harvest. And for that, there's excitement in My tears."

As Families Began Praying Together, I Heard The Heart Of America Begin To Beat Again!

The answer for our nation may not be far from home.

In the spirit, as I began to hear families praying together, I sensed the Father saying: "I can hear the heart of America beginning to beat again and I can feel its pulse!"

I sense the real warfare over our nation is against the very core of any nation: the family! I have heard of many types of prayer alerts for our nation at this time, but I sense an urgent call from the throne room for "families to pray together at this critical time in our nation."

The decree that turned the nation of Israel back to God: "AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD." Joshua 24:15.

As Joshua was declaring to the nation of Israel, to choose life or death, he was proclaiming the importance of not only his personal choice, but also his heart for his family.

I believe Joshua's heart for every father and mother was for them to decree that their families would serve the Lord also. Was he sensing the power that families hold in influencing the whole nation from being destroyed? He believed if God could save him, God could save his family. And if God could save his family, He could also save the whole nation!

Could it be since the garden of Eden that the enemy well knows that families hold the hidden power to destroy his kingdom and deliver whole nations? Is it any wonder why he unleashes hell upon families?

I know many of you have been praying for your family also. Yet I am sensing an urgent call, as parents, to not only pray for our children, but to build an altar and call the family members together - to pray 'with' them.

I sense our sons and daughters hold the keys to some of our own breakthroughs that we, as parents, desperately need at this time. And, as parents, we hold some keys to our sons and daughters healings and miracles that are needed as well.

Angels Were Conversing: "Earth Hasn't Seen Anything Yet!"

As angels were shooting fiery arrows onto the earth, sidewalks and gutters in the streets
caught on fire as these arrows of deliverance began hitting the homeless and red light
districts of the world. Heaven's aim was precise.

Prison bars were melting and grave clothes were being burned off those held captive in
spiritual cemeteries. These fiery arrows then ricocheted and began piercing every
denomination and even so-called Spirit-filled churches.

Angels were conversing, "Earth hasn't seen anything yet!"

I Am Awakening Your Children And Grandchildren

The enemy is about to hear from our children and grandchildren beginning this season. Watch and expect the passion for Christ to run wild like a raging fire inside of them.

The Lord has allowed them to be placed in strategic locations in the earth and even in some unusual places where we think they shouldn’t be. In prisons, homeless on the streets, or wherever they are being held in Satan’s grip.

They have now been divinely positioned to become a firebrand in God’s hand to ignite and explode like dynamite inside the camp of the enemy! This is why the enemy forever has fought against marriages. He feared concerning the Godly seed that was about to come upon the earth to do him in. And here they come!

I Have Found The Sweet Spot For Healing

After seeing no healings over a long period of time you are convinced that you must not have the gift of healing. So you decide to stop praying for people. What you don't know is: that is your sweet spot. That's the perfect time to pray for one more person. That's when you will start seeing results. Think about this. Who wants you to stop praying for people to be healed? Is it the devil or the Lord?

The Awesome Power In A Mother's Mantle

I'm not sure how this works. But I believe a mother's mantle casts a long shadow. I saw my mother's fall during the going away celebration at her church. It then unfurled like a tailor-made garment of love and continued to spread. I believe her mantle is imparting spiritual inheritance to many, even those who never knew her.

My mother, Gertrude Yount, went to be with Jesus on March 2nd. 2015. Multitudes have been touched and encouraged by her many healings and miracles that God gave her in this lifetime. But what I will remember the most about mom is her persevering faith in spite of her many hardships. She found God in the storms of life. She touched so many people with God's love. She was 90 yrs. old. She is now totally healed forever.

MOM'S SHOELESS ENTRY INTO HEAVEN

Mom had an unusual request when she left this world. She said, "When they lay me in the casket, I don't want them to put any shoes or socks on me. I want to dance on the streets of gold in my bare feet." I called the funeral director and told him mom's unusual request and why. He agreed. Someone came up to me right before mom's funeral and said, "It's going to be hard to fill your mother's shoes." I said, "She doesn't have any."

HER GIFT WAS LOVE

Just hours before mom met Jesus, my sister visited her and said her face was glowing and she couldn't find one wrinkle on it. She was even walking on her own. One of my brothers stopped by also to see her minutes later. I called her around 7:30pm that evening and she said, "I was going to call you" Her voice was strong and clear. She told me that she had called my other brother Jim and talked to him also. Then within three hours of talking to us children, she left. The last words my brother heard my mother say was: "Tell everyone I love them."

When it came to loving people mom broke the rules. I remember growing up when she took us five kids to church she always squeezed other people into the car like sardines. On Sundays she would pick up a woman and her three kids ( which made ten of us in the car ). Many times mom would holler at us kids in the back seat, "There's a policeman, get down!" She seemed to get away with some things when she was helping people.

At eleven yrs. of age my mother often attended Kathryn Kuhlman meetings in Pittsburgh, PA. She saw unusual happenings that forever changed her life. A huge goiter on her mother's neck instantly disappeared before her eyes. The next second a five year old boy began jumping up and down shouting, "Mommy, where are you? Where are you mommy?" The mother on the other side of the boy said, "Honey, I'm right here." Mom said. "I saw that little boy jump up into his mother's arms and began shouting, "Oh mommy, I can see you! I can see you mommy!" The mother cried, "He was born blind!" My mother got the mindset at an early age: This is the way my life is going to be. And it continued the rest of her life.

She was 4' 11" tall. She found the key to long life. Twice cancer couldn't kill her. The first cancer spreading through her body, the doctors gave her five years to live. That was forty-five years ago. At eighty-seven the second cancer died through surgery. They got it all with no chemo needed. Years ago doctors witnessed a tumor disappear on her thyroid before taking a biopsy. Ten years ago doctors wanted to amputate her one foot. She told them, "Whenever I go to heaven, I'm taking my foot with me!" Later they changed their mind. She kept her foot and walked fine. Most doctors who told her she wouldn't live long are gone. She kept outliving them. Her famous prayer when she got attacked was: "Lord, if I get weak and sick, how am I going to help anybody and reach the lost?" That's it! Then healing would start attacking her.

After receiving that five year death sentence with cancer mom felt led to visit a different church in town. She went with Aunt Sophie. Aunt Sophie has been healed so many times, people thought she was crazy. They arrived early and sat near the front of the church before others got there. As soon as Mom sat down, she felt a hand touch her shoulder, shooting a bolt of electricity down through her body that burnt the hairs off her arms and legs. "I just knew God healed me of that cancer!" she said. They found out later that church didn't believe in healing. I think that's why God healed her before the service started. Mom loved to tell people of her healings and miracles. Then she would stop and say, "But you gotta repent!" as conviction fell on them.

NEW BLOOD IS FLOWING INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST

Late in life my mother had an ulcer on her leg that wasn't healing because of sugar diabetes. Doctors discovered the main artery in her leg was one hundred percent blocked with plaque that prevented the healing. Two doctors wouldn't touch it because she was 90 years old. A third doctor said, "I'm going to try it." ( Sometimes we need to try some things that look impossible.) He told my sister, "I chiseled it. I kept chiseling it. Two days later he called my sister and said, "The blood is flowing!"

When I heard those words, I sensed the Lord saying to the Body of Christ. "The blood is flowing! The blood is flowing! I've been chiseling away at the blockages in your life. The blood is beginning to flow into the legs of my Body." The life is in the blood. Strength in our legs is coming from that blood. We are going to walk in newness of life. Walk in places we have never been. Do things we have never done. Try some things that look impossible.

AN UNSTOPPABLE PERSEVERING FAITH

"That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises." Hebrews 6:12

Mom was a fighter. 'A contender of the faith that was once delivered to the saints.' ( Jude 1:3 ) She fought for what she got. Her strong faith was like a runaway freight train that could not be stopped. In the Spirit mom could take out Muhammad Ali. She seemed to have the gift of faith. But there were times and seasons when God seemed distant, when the healings and miracles weren't arriving on time. But her faith kept going. Mom's answer to heaven's silence was: "I'll be ok. Let's see what God will do." It was these bumps in the road of mom's life that caused her to know the Lord like she did. Her life taught me: There's a whole lot of living between healings and miracles. And a whole lot of living after them. She knew how to run this race of life with patience. "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us." Hebrews 12:1 She ran with patience. Patience was her friend.

Near the end of mom's life she would always tell us. "When I get better, I'm getting my license back." She still blamed the state for taking her license. She told everyone, "They made a mistake about me." I have a gut feeling mom got her license back. I feel like she's driving something up there. Maybe a chariot. "Look out for those speed limit signs mom!"

A faith so strong, yet childlike. I remember when the doctor wanted to amputate mom's foot. She told me her childlike prayer: "Lord, you don't need my foot, and I do."

This story seems to sum up the fabric of my mother's prophetic mantle.

A mother had a little daughter playing down the neighborhood. A storm was brewing and the mother called the neighbor and said, "Send my little girl home quick." The little girl started walking home two blocks away as the storm broke loose. A torrential downpour of rain beat the earth as thunder and lightning came crashing down. As the mother watched anxiously out her kitchen window she noticed every time lightning flashed her little girl would stop and start to smile. Several times as lightning flashed her little girl again would stop and a smile would break out on her face. The mother terrified ran out of the house and down the sidewalk and picked up her little girl in her arms and ran inside the house. As they got into the house, the mother said to the daughter. "Honey, how come every time it lightninged, you just stopped and started to smile?" The little girl responded. "Mommy, all the way home God's been taking my picture!"

Oh, to have a childlike faith. To know in our worst storm, God is taking our picture.

Raise your hands and receive the power in my mother's mantle right now: The gift of faith that only believes and doesn't know how to doubt. The patience that outlasts every storm. And God's love that breaks the rules.

And don't forget to smile. Cause all the way home God is taking your picture.
