ONE ticket to the show in Philadelphia is $331 and they are only sold in pairs !! Surely that is NOT face value, although the donation idea is a good thing except if you do not want to donate that much.

Downtown Freehold's (NJ) free Thursday concerts will be a tribute to Rock 'N'Roll legends.

Starting July 9, the first concert will feature the music of Billy Joel by The Stranger. On July 23, U2 tribute band U2 Nation will perform, followed by Yellow Brick Road's tribute to Elton John Aug. 6., and The Jersey Four playing the music of The Four Seasons Aug. 20. The cover bands Mission Dance and the Nerds will perform July 16 and 13, respectively.

All concerts are held at the Hall of Records parking lot 7:30-9:30 p.m.

The only mistake Liberty made from what I understand is using the term "royalties." Other than that, Liberty was very much in the right, again, based on my understanding. Sorry Billy but, if you're reading this, why did you give Doug the chance to smooth things out, but not Liberty.

I had the oppurtunity to correspond with Liberty for a few weeks. I couldn't separate him from Billy Joel and would ask questions about Billy Joel's songs. Well, I did that once too often and he ended up cussing me out. After reading about Liberty suing BJ, I can't blame Liberty for reacting as he did. Billy wrote a very nice song for Doug Stegmeyer when the bass player was let go (Money or Love). For whatever reason, all Billy did for Liberty was play The Great Wall of China on 12 Gardens Live. So Billy is or was bitter too.

There must be more to this story. We only have Liberty's version. And he sounds so bitter. But, if he doesn't have writer's credit, on any of the songs...he doesn't receive royalties. If Liberty wanted to get paid as a song writer, he should have made sure that he got credit, on the albums.

I wonder what Billy's version is.

If Billy shows up at the Macca shows, it will only be on Friday July 17th. He is on tour the other two nights with Elton.

If sources are to be believed, singer Billy Joel and his third wife Katie Lee parted ways after they couldn't agree on when to start a family.

"Billy wanted to get going now. Katie, who's 27, wanted to focus on her career," the New York Daily News quoted a friend of Joel as saying.

However, a friend of Lee said: "That's not true. If anything, it was the other way around."

Recently, it was being suggested that the major reason behind the couple's separation was their age difference.

According to sources, Joel, 60, was just too much of a codger for his 27-year-old wife.

BILLY Joel skipped the Father's Day performance by his daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, but her mom, Christie Brinkley -- escorted by Alexa's half-brother, Jack, 11, -- danced and sang along as Alexa did 11 numbers. Alexa called it her "hometown gig" as she grew up in the Hamptons, reports Plum TV's Jacquelynn Powers, and told the packed crowd: "Growing up, I didn't know my parents were famous. I just thought they knew everybody. Everyone was always saying, 'Hi, Billy,' 'Hi, Christie.' I thought they were just popular."
