One day trip to Pondicherry

Distance : 160 KM
The number one and the most striking thing about visiting Pondicherry is the journey along ECR road. The 2 lane roads covered with tress passing through backwaters, lakes, villages with the coast on one side and backwaters on the other. A lot of local vendors selling local delicacy on the road. Jack-fruit, coconut water, fresh fish, watermelon and different fruits at its own season.

Stop by in as many place as you can, it’s a short ride, what is the point to hurry. You miss out so many things when you go fast. Relax, slow down, enjoy the scenic beauty, the water, the smell.

Food :
A lot of French hotel. Pondicherry used to be French colony and still the city retain some taste of it. Great place to try out food. A lot of place near Auroville and when in the city try “Boston café”, This place was good, I had all my meals here. Yes, alcohol is cheap, Not sure how much though.

Places to see:
On ECR towards Pondicherry, you have Alampari fort. Go there , you could see broken fort, light house and a beautiful beach.

Auroville is another place to see, quit disappointing if you have not made advance booking for meditation at Matrimandir. Rent a cycle and roam around the Auroville.

Beach : There are plenty of beach in Pondicherry, two of the my favorite beach were the one back of our hotel named Veerampattinam Beach and the rock beach which is inside the city surrounded by eateries, craft shops, desi clothes and plenty to shop from.

Bike Rent : Get a bike on rental, your hotel will arrange that. I had my own bike.

Having been bombarded by various review about sundari akka fish shop in Chennai, I too decided to visit her place.

Located next to the public swimming pool near on the Marina Beach. Open-Air Restaurant with no Ceiling or Walls, Beach facing, Self-Service and Live Kitchen. The Model is simple, you get Rice and Gravy of the Day. Sambar and Rasam is available too. Boiled Egg, Fish Fry, Prawns etc totally depending on the availability. There was Crab Gravy, Fish Fry(Mackerel and Pomfret), prawn fry(the prawns were good and big size), Vaala Meen Karuvattu Kozhambu, Vanjiram Fry. Typical Home Style Curries, tastes as if it is straight out of your own Akka's Kitchen. Fish Fry perfectly Masalafied and Tawa Fried.

Approximate rate is ₹100 - ₹120/Plate for Fish Fry and Prawns depending on the size, Rice and Gravy of the day ₹50, Boiled Egg ₹10.

Next to Public swimming pool in Marina. There's a Parking Lot near the entrance of the Swimming Pool complex at Marina Beach. Sundari Akka's shop is on the right as soon you enter the parking lot. Landmark: Near Durai Cool Bar.

Cost :
Prawn fry (₹110).
Vanjiram (₹220).
It costs 50 for fish rice . I feel it's a bit OVERPRICED considering the shop and ambience and no seating arrangements.

Taste : 4/5

It has got few downside too:
The lady(Sudari akka) is quite arrogant and rude. Throws lot of attitude as though she's offering free food.

It's a typical road shop. No tables and few chairs.

I personally feel it is expensive for the service you get there.

Try going once for the experience. I think it is famous for the social media hype.

Ever since her husband Sekhar died of a heart attack in 2005, 50-year-old Sundari akka has been serving free food on his death anniversary every year as a tribute to him.

Laloo, our fallen hero.

Sushil Modi(BJP-Bihar) son got married last week and Tejaswi Yadav(Laloo’s son) had threaten to disrupt the wedding.

Year 1994 –

Congress has been decimated after Narasimha Rao rule and so was BJP post 1992 riot. A huge opportunity for other parties to make a mark on national level. In competition was Janta Dal and so was Laloo Yadav in the race to become the PM. Before the election Laloo has been convicted of the fodder case.

Bhabua –

Murali Manohar Joshi(BJP) and Laloo Yadav(JD) were schedule to come to Bhabua, my hometown in Bihar on the same day for election campaign. The whole town was cover by banners and poster of Murali ji, the only senior BJP leader to come and campaign in my town. Newspaper Ads, flags, microphones and everything else done to bring people for Murali ji’s meeting to be held at the Jagjivan stadium. 5000 people gathered around 11 am and the meeting was over.

Loved Politician.

In comes Laloo Yadav on his trademark yellow helicopter, flew over the town for 10 min and landed in the aerodrum. Our aerodrum was used as helipad only during election, all the other time we played cricket on it. 10,000 people even before the man have taken the stage. The crowd kept increasing. We Biharis loved this man. No campaigning was needed nor someone had to shut down electricity so the crowd move to the meeting. Laloo was loved and no matter what people flung to see him with no advertisement or prachar for his arrival.

Laloo and Mr Vajpayee often attacked at each other. Vajpayee was the one to put Laloo back to his place from national level. But when Vajpayee visited Bihar during rule as Prime Minister, Laloo personally made sure that his food and stay was well taken care of. They had lunch together on the second day of his visit and Laloo knowing Vajpayee fond for curd had homemade curd ready for Mr Vajpayee(It came in Newspaper).

Advani Episode :

Even before 1996, Laloo had ordered a must needed arrest of Advani in 1990 while on his Rath Yatra spewing hatred all around the country. Post his arrest, Laloo met him at prison and made sure he was comfortable and apart of his movement he was free to do anything. Laloo knew the arrest would cost him the government and it did.

Initial Days

Sankarshan Thakur’s book on Laloo describe him as a man who genuinely care about his people during his early days. Late nights he would come out to distribute blanket and food to the people left unaided on MG setu. Laloo was known a messiah for a reason.

Laloo made another arrest of a guy during a protest in Patna, I don’t remember his name(recroded in the book by Sankarshan Thakur). Post arrest, Laloo made a visit to prison with homemade food and advise him on why he got his arrested. Laloo said ‘no one knew till last evening, today Bihar knows you. This is good for you. Now eat and take rest.’

What point are you trying to make?

The point I am trying to make here is Laloo always kept his personal and political life separately. He never mixed his political anger with his personal affairs.

Coming back to Tejaswi Yadav threat to Sushil Modi, Laloo rebukes his son and he himself attended the wedding.

I have different political principles and different religious belief and still after argument I can sit with my friends and drink or ask for help without any hitches. You know why? Because we are grown up, because we are matured. Laloo is matured to keep his personal and political alignment in different tracks. Be like Laloo.Be Matured.

Quit India Movement - 75th Anniversary

Our nation is celebrating 75th anniversary of the “Quit India Movement”.

8 August, 1942, The father of our nation Gandhi, asked people to adopt non-violence for the Quit India movement. Ahimsa against the British was declared. The fight was not against the British but their imperialism.

The freedom struggle was real. Activist were getting beaten, tortured, imprisoned and killed. INC was the only organization who fought this struggle. CPI(Communist) did support the movement except during quit India movement when Russia(Communist) allied with British.

RSS, They neither fought nor supported any movement of struggle. In-fact they sided with the British. Zero RSS member were arrested from 1925-1947. RSS boycott Quit India movement and Savarkar(RSS) had sold his soul to the British in return for being released from Prison. His communal propaganda hurt the freedom movement even further.

For INC it was the country. For Communist, their ideology and for RSS it was politics. Fast forward 5 years from 1942 and Gandhi is shot dead by Godse-Savarkar(RSS).

Questioning Education

Meet Raja,

Met him at KRP Park on his school uniform bunking class and roaming around the park.
My first question was “What are you doing here without going to school”. He Smiled back.
I asked him to help me with my camera in return for 10 bucks. He smiled back again and replied ‘No need of money, get me lunch’. Deal.

This kid is no ordinary. Probably carrying camera for the first time and the way he handled the camera was par professionals. His eye and lens coordination, his feet movement.. Panning slowly. Resting his elbow on his belly to avoid camera shake and asking me many times to change direction understanding the light for better videos.

Talent and Passion is what I saw. Get him a camera and some editing training and he will be on his own earning money.

On top of all the passion/talent, his communication skill in negotiating lunch over 10 bucks. That is enough marketing skill to thrive.

Makes me wonder sometime what will be the purpose of his 12-15 years of education in school and college in the current system we have. I am not against education but the system of education he has to go through. What if we had a system that would translate this talent of his into something beautiful for his future.

Strolling on Avinashi road, Coimbatore looking for a studio to take my passport picture I happened to see sculptures arranged in a corner. Sculpture of different Gods/Goddesses, of flower vase, and of figurines. Under a tree on his old ‘thela gadi’ sat Prakash. Prakash is from Gujarat. His only talent is to make sculpture of any form.

Lost his mother when 6. Dad was working at Gujarati Samaj in Coimbatore and had pulled him in to work at the food mess there. Soon he learned the art of making stuff out of clay from his dad and started his own small business. Not just that he also supports his sister’s education.

Two days back I had to accompany a female friend of mine in a Chennai slum to meet a girl regarding her education which is to be supported by Seed100. The mother works in the local temple selling balloons, plastics toys and stuff to run the house and her eye gleaming with anticipation for our help. The house with just one room and asbestos roof and a plastic door. The mother and her 3 daughter treated us well with hot coffee and arranged cold water from neighbor's refrigerator.

Halfway through the cheerful conversation, enters the drunk dad. The kids runs out in fear, the mother tried to control him and keep nudging his shoulder, almost in tear asking him to calm down. The mother wanting her daughters to be educated more than the father cared and to stand in their own legs, not to end up in the same place as hers. Fast forward, the conversation is over we are out and then hearing the dreadful story of the family. I understood one thing, an alcoholic father is the worst curse to one family. This guy has been drinking enough to bring the family to poverty and forcing his 3 girls who aspires to become Lawyer, nurse and tailor to sit at home.

Two of my closest friends have similar story to share. Drunk, causing problem to the wife, fight with almost everyone in the family, embarrassment when in family meetings, and above all being the biggest threat to the kids life and the future.

It was MGR who established the TASMAC in 1983 and later Jaya who overnight established the chains across the state. She campaign to ban alcohol even when she was already in power in 2016. Government(AIADMK) has promised to shut down the TASMAC(the state run liquor business) in the last election, little to nothing has been done to shut it down. Recently the new prison-controlled-CM ordered for closure of 500 store which is still on papers.

Alcohol has been banned in many other states. Nitish Kumar banned alcohol in Bihar. Why are people allowing Nitish Kumar to ban alcohol in Bihar even though it generates huge revenue for them? Because sometimes people's lives are more important than money.

Yesterday a 7 year old boy stood in the crouching sun for 3 hours demanding closure of TASMAC near his school. They shut it down for 2 hours and opened it again. someone needs to hold the kid's hand like the one we did in Jallikattu protest. The story is covered by my good friend Pheba. The TASMAC has to shut down and it has to shut down now.

who killed Gandhi and why?

Year 1948, January 30, Gandhi was shot by Godse during a prayer ceremony in Delhi. Prime Minister Nehru announced to the world “Light has gone out of our lives. Gandhi, who we fondly call Bapu was gone.

Historians and scholars have written extensively on “who killed Gandhi and why?” and the answer, obviously, doesn’t end with Godse. Godse speech in court why he pumped three bullet in Mahatma’s chest provides a glimpse into the politics of the assassination.

Godse told in the court “I do say that my shots were fired at the person whose policy and action had brought rack and ruin and destruction to millions of Hindus, I bear no ill will towards anyone individually, but I do say that I had no respect for the present government owing to their policy, which was unfairly favorable towards the Muslims. But at the same time I could clearly see that the policy was entirely due to the presence of Gandhi.” This radical thinking of Godse confirm that there is much bigger hands behind the killing of Gandhi, maybe a political more than an ideology. Godse love for country fell in the hand of wrong political party that made him take the life of very person who guided India towards Independence.

Aakar Patel, writing in Outlook magazine few days back had said “Little of what Nathuram says makes sense by way of logic. It was his (Godse’s) hatred of the secular ideology of Gandhi, the true Hindu spirit that he is finally opposed to, having been brainwashed thoroughly by the RSS.”. Godse was not alone, there was a bigger conspiracy.

Extensive research by scholars and historians has shown the involvement of Sarvarkar, the then chief of Hindu Mahasabha(now BJP) in the planning and killing of Gandhi.

There are 2 ways people understand the nationalism in India.
1. People who consider Hinduism to be its central feature of it.
2. People who consider everyone who identifies with and adopts India to be Indian.

Savarkar identified India as a Hindu nation while Gandhi and Nehru opposed him. The Savarkar understanding of Hinduism was not different from hindu but against Hindu. The principle of Hinduism of ONE god for divine human to exist in unity and harmony was either not understood by the RSS and Savarkar or their intention have always been political.

The RSS extremist ideology which killed Gandhi is the same that threatens India Today. The same communal forces and their ideology prevails in our country in the form of Ghar Wapsi and Love Jihad campaigns.

May the teaching of Gandhi embed in our heart and heal the country.

Cab Driver

One of the good thing about the company I work for is free transport from and to my home. It’s a one hour travel one way and a lot depends upon the driver who helping me drop or pickup.

There are driver of different kind. Some talk a lot, some don’t. Some honk a lot and others don’t. Some rash drive, some are always late. Some dress well, others just show up.

There was one guy who always talked in English because he wanted to learn. Another guy from Assam would always reroute so we could have a tea at his favorite restaurant. Another guy would always play Bob Marley on his music system.

Most of the time I would stay quite immerse into my kindle cos that is the only time I get to read and some time I have people like Babu na.

Babu na is the guy who drops me back home every evening and he talks a lot. He has his own unproven theory and hypothesis. Today I thought to write about him.

Here is one of our conversation.

Babu na – You know who is our biggest competitor.

Me – Who?

Babu na – China

Me – Why?

Babu na – I will tell you something which most of the people do not know. China knows that Indian are smart and hard working. Especially Tamil, Andhra and Kannada people.

Me – what about Kerela.

Babu na- They have all left to Saudi so China do not care about them.

Me – What about North Indian.

Babu na – They are dumb.

Me – I am north Indian.

Babu na – Except few. Some north-Indian are very smart like you.

Me – True.

Babu na – So China knows very well that to counter Indian they need to handle south Indian, so what Chinese do is they import chana dal(Tamil - Pottu Kadalai) from India via airplane. A lot of them. And in china they roast the channa and mix a powder in the dal that makes one sleep and feel lazy. Then using ship the roasted channa dal is expoted back to India. We Indian use that for breakfast to make chuntney and feel sleepy and lazy so our brain stops working.We need to be very careful about chinese.

Me – Do you eat idly with chuntney.

Babu na- Yeah I do. But I never use Pottu Kadalai for it. Do me a favour, don’t spread this around.

Me – oh yeah… I will never.

Few days back when our ex CM(Karunanithi) was admitted in hospital, Babu na said me another secret.

Babu na- Karunaithi is so smart and intelligent that if he dies, the UK guys would take his brain to investigate. They might make a clone of that brain to make UK smart again.

Dear A ,

What does it mean when you say “Love of my life”. What if one does not end up with the ‘Love of your life’ person.

I believe in big love. I talk and act like I do. I have had that massive love. That all-consuming love. That ‘Is this real’ kind of love. The kind of love that flare up into an uncontrollable fire and burns quietly, comfortably, for years. The kind of love that teaches more than you thought you could ever learn, and gives back much more than it takes. Was this the ‘Love of the life’.

If you’re lucky, you get to meet the love of your life. You get to be with them, to learn from them, to give the whole of yourself over to them and allow their influence to change you in immeasurable measures. It’s an experience like nothing else we have on this earth. But the truth is sometimes we meet the loves of our lives, but we do not get to keep them. We do not get to marry them, to pass our years together with them, to hold their hands till the end and after a life lived well and together. Because in the real world, love doesn’t conquer all.

Sometimes the biggest, most loving move you can possibly make is to let each other go and other times you don’t get a choice.

Some people can love you more in a year than others could love you in lifetime. These people come into our lives only for a particular period of time, but make an impact that no one else can ever quite match or replace. And who are we to call those people anything but the loves of our lives? Meeting and letting go of the love of your life doesn’t have to be your life's single greatest tragedy because some people never get to meet them at all.

The Greatest Act Of Love Is Letting Go. A person trapped in a stagnant relationship is like a wild bird put in a cage. Its natural response will be to take flight at the first opportunity, to find its freedom again. To let go because you know that both you and people in your life need the space to grow, is indeed the greatest proof of love you can give to yourself and others. How beautiful and brave a person, that can act with such grace, in the name of freedom.

My problem is timing. I had this thought to write when the issue was ON but then for some reason I delayed. Anyways let me put my thought here regarding NDTV ban by the ministry of broadcasting for one day which was later put on hold due to protest from editor federation and why i support the government ban.

Coming back to NDTV ban.

One wrong should not be covered by another wrong. For instance, When we say Modi is corrupt, immediately Modi supporter would say, so is congress. What does that justify, nothing. So when I say NDTV was wrong and they deserve punishment, don’t justify by saying so is TIMES NOW and ZEE TV.

NDTV is one of my favorite news brand in India and I love hearing Ravish Kumar. Ravish is from Bihar and his style of Hindi is very pleasant and also he is very brave and direct. The Government served a show cause notice to NDTV’s Hindi channel for its coverage of the militant attack on the Pathankot airbase in Punjab. The notice accused NDTV India of broadcasting “strategically sensitive information”. If you see the video which is available on YouTube(link below) you can see the reporter saying the terrorist are still alive and the position of army and the militant. You simple don’t do that. A war is going on, let the army finish the job and then you telecast whatever crap you want to.

This is not the first time NDTV is doing this. During attack on Hotel Taj in Mumbai on Nov 27, 2008. NDTV was showing live of what was happening and the terrorist were able to know the positioning of the army in the hotel and carry out more attack. NDTV did not serve the national interest then. The shots and visuals could have been shown after all the terrorists were neutralized and the security operations were over. But to shot up the TRP they did it.

Don’t cry about Right to freedom of speech and Expression. Yes, Right to Freedom of Speech and Expression should not be misused putting the country's social security factors in vain. But then the Government did nothing and it is very sad that finally supreme court had to direct the broadcasting ministry for action and that UPA government did not do anything on their own.

Heard about “Nira radia tape”, If not google it and see how some on the top journalist from NDTV were involved.

During Pathankot attack, information about the location and assets of the Pathankot airbase were given in bits and pieces and exact location of the remaining terrorists and the asset were also broadcasted. Unlike print, TV is an audio-visual medium, which have a far wider and instantaneous impact. Hence, the disclosure of vital information on national security-related issues on the audio-visual medium, while anti-terrorist operations are on, has several ramifications.

My personal issue here is why only NDTV. Other channels too carried similar live telecast during Pathankot in 2016 and even during the Mumbai attack in 2008. But as I said in beginning, one’s mistake should not be justified by others mistake.

One last point, If NDTV is banned for one day then our PM should be jailed for a day for allowing the Pakistan team to investigate and giving then full access of a military air base to our enemy. And then if it was so sensitive then why allow media there in the first place.

SURGICAL STRIKE

Recently I went to Punjab for a church dedication program and some friends I made there took me to the Wagah border. Bad luck struck when the BSF said it’s been locked due to some stone-throwing incident in the Wagah.

Badly wanting to see the border the guys took to Shaheed Baba Gurudwara which is 20-30 meters from the LOC at Dera Baba Nanak. These were the time post-surgical strike. I will be putting the pictures in my next blog when I post from home.

Met few of the soldiers and had conversation ranging from what they eat, when do they go home, how is the condition at the border and many other question that’s been struck in head for these years.

We have had 4 wars with Pakistan, winning all 4. It’s not easy when China support Pakistan.

Liberation of Bangladesh, and the style of it - Winning a war in just 13 days and establishing a new nation... No other country could have done it better than India. None!

Kargil War - It may just have been a border conflict but the odds were all against Indian Army and yet they managed to regain all the lost grounds

Surgical strike. Is Indian Army capable of surgical strike?

Recently there has been news in almost all non-Indian media that we faked the surgical strike. Some of our own politician sitting in opposition has asked for proof so the outside media is quit.

Yes we are. Since we have done it in the past and so I believe that the Army has indeed done the surgical strike and destroyed the terror launch pad.

I write blog only when I have a problem. My problem is not that to do anything with the Army.

During our previous PM surgical strike has taken place and been confirm by the Army. They never took this to street, addressing the media and thumping of chest. This attacks are considered to be secret keeping the country in mind. But in current scenario our shameless PM along with Amit shah, The president of the ruling party and our defense minister who is an another jerked has talking about surgical attack like no other. The defense minister even gave credit to RSS for the tactics used. The PM has been talking about it in almost everywhere he talks.

We need a PM for whom the nation is the priority and not the political party he represents. If winning elections is the ultimate goal of the PM and he could do anything to achieve it then our country is in grave danger.

It’s high time both politicians and media shut their mouths on surgical strikes. Leave army alone and don’t put pressure on them to justify on what they have done. US has crossed continents and killed their enemies and never debated so much like we do for single adventure from our Army. BJP should stop its marketing campaign. First the communal sword and now the surgical strike. 2 years of inefficiency should not be covered using surgical strike.

I seriously don’t know how to start, but here is the student pledge.

India is my country. I love my country and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage. I shall always strive to be worthy of it.

To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion. In their well-being and prosperity alone, lies my happiness.

Who doesn't love India being Indian? Everyone does. Patriotism is love for own country nothing else. Patriotism is not hate for Pakistan or any other country. The word Patriotism has taken a whole new meaning. You been called Anti-National if you voice against the government. This never happen before.

Today I am sharing just another opinion and I love my country.

First thing we need to understand is Pakistan is a failed state.

The Power of India and Pakistan are both made up of three strong units but are called differently. In India we call them legislative, Executive and Judiciary. And in Pakistan they call it as Army, Politician and the Banned Organization (Labelled as terrorist).

In India legislative, Executive and Judiciary are three independent body and we call them as “Separation of powers”. This three don’t overlap. They report to the president and the country runs smoothly. Not the same in Pakistan. I said earlier that Pakistan is a failed state. The Army listen to ISI, the ISI listen to this banned organization, this banned organization have collaboration with other banned organization in other country. Their Army chief was their president once, and then he had to leave the country. The current PM was sentence to death and had to leave the country and came back to become PM again. It is totally messed up. India’s politic is understandable. You can follow and understand the politics of any other country but not of Pakistan. Every day they come up with some new and different thing.

The ISI(Pakistan intelligence agency) is a total failure, there has been plenty of proof of Pakistan’s Army aligned to the ISI. ISI and these banned organization are like two branch of the Pakistan extended Army.

You don’t even know who rules Pakistan. The power lies with the Army. Internationally banned organization makes decision and the politician is just statement to make speech in UN and other international bodies.

Now in the case of War, even if we defeat Pakistan what will we achieve. The terrorist will still be alive hiding the whole time. Our Sensex would fall, investor would hesitate and our Economy would crash. Our country was not build in one day. It would all fall crashing in matters of month in case of war. We have everything to lose.

Sometimes I sympathize with Pakistan. I feel they themselves are target of local terrorism. India has actually blamed Pakistan to allow terrorist activity in their territory. The Pakistan government cannot do anything about it since they do not have any control. Will a war make Pakistan government to act on the terrorist? Will the war destroy all the terrorist organization in Pakistan? I don’t think so.

The people care less. The freedom is suppressed unlike India. The government has no power. The Army is a puppet. They still live in the past. They are helpless. They economy is a mess.

I can't think of any solution, War with Pakistan is not the answer. The PM knows this too and so do the entire lots of elected politicians.

I read a lot of stuff. I read jungle book, magazine, politics, history, gossip stuff, property, comic, health and what not. I love reading more than seeing (Movie). Seeing is just translation of what your eye sees, but reading is where you get your imagination playing.

2 things in the blog. 1. A little about kindle and about a site to maintain what you read and what you want to read in future.

That is one reason I prefer Quora over YouTube. And so today I bought a Kindly Paper White. It cost around 10K but comes with 50k free books. And if you pay 1300 you would get around 1.5 Million books and they are not some random crappy books but they are actually good stuff. Even many of the books which are recently released.

I have used this kindle for just 8 hours and this is what I feel

1. Small and have plenty of books inside.
2. Can carry your bible with you.
3. Has in-build dictionary so you get to improve your vocabulary.
4. Books are 80% cheaper in kindle so you save a lot.
5. Easy and cheap to get foreign authored book. Most of the books published by a foreigner are expensive. Not so in case of Kindle. Spiritual warfare by Joseph price cost 1299 but the kindle version is just 250.
6. Easy to carry anywhere.(I wish it was waterproof ..would
Be reading while i am bathing today ;)

Yes, I have stopped writing. There is no excuse, just that I vent out everything in Facebook nowadays and was happy with the blog I maintained in the organisation I used to work for. I get plenty of time and a brand new laptop and no excuse whatsoever. So let me start writing again after a 2 years gap.
I would try to write at-least 2 post a month. Mostly on Food, Travel and Politics. My last post was a disaster. I wrote on why Modi would not win the election and see what has happened. We are under the rule of one of the weakest PM we ever had in our History. I would soon write one on this to explain it better.

So Today is dad's 65th birthday and I decided to give him a surprise on this special day. Recently he had a bypass procedure done on his heart and seeing him was must. Planned, booked ticket, done with shopping, almost everything done when the UBER guys made a delay and I missed my train to Delhi. Went around the Madras station looking for someone who could help. Fortunately there was one ticket left in the next train and I got it. Seat number 63, S4 just next to the pantry car.

I love travelling by train second to bike. In bike you can have 360 degree. you can see people, street, country side. A little less is train where you get to see one side of the country. The worst is flight, you get to see just few clouds(never been in one).

My train starts from Chennai, AP, MP, UP then to Delhi. Once the train crosses Nagpur the train ride along Satpura national park which is very rich in bio diversity makes you gab you camera. The train does not cross through the park, but along it. The place is filled by mountain, valleys, river, bridges, tunnels. You cross this place around by 4-6 PM in evening if you have taken the Tamilnadu express which starts by 10 pm from Chennai. It is much like a jungle ride. so many sweeping curves.

How long its been since you have made a train travel?? Time to make one. Go solo and enjoy the ride.

I reach Delhi at about 6:30 in the morning and and the trains stops at faridabad for about 2 hours. Took metro, then bus and a Rickshaw and to Home.

* Why Modi cannot become the next PM.

This is my prediction from what I hear and read from different Sources. I love my country and have no inclination toward as any political party. I like BJP in Gujarat, JD(U) in Bihar, AIADMK in TN, congress in Rajasthan and I hate BJP in Karnataka, Congress in Delhi, SP in UP and so on. Support to a party should be based on their work and ability to maintain peace and rapid development in the country.

But with the recent hype of BJP coming back to power and Modi being projected as messiah doesn't make any sense to me. The work/claims in Gujarat are appreciable but let’s do math and spoil your hope.

Let’s discuss number, will keep it very simple.
Total seat: 543
Seat needed to come to power: 272
Current situation BJP: 137
Congress: 228

Apart from the regular vote, BJP will have to try and win 150 more seats. Now in Tamilnadu, Kerala, AP BJP will never get a vote nor allied. In Karnataka, due to corruption and issues with Yeddyurappa. 30+ seats in Bihar is lost due to personal issues with Nitish. AIADMK will extend only friendship not a single seat. Mamata Banerjee will never ally itself with BJP, so does Mulayam Singh from UP fearing Muslims vote. From where will Modi bring 150+ seats? I don't see any possibilities on how modi is going to collect that extra 150.

The loss of Congress due to various allegations of corruption is not going to benefit BJP in any way. Other smaller parties like YSR of Jagan, AAP of kerijwal will benefit. There are other issues too like Godhra riots, issues with Advani, and issues with the game changer Nitish kumar.

Now, even if BJP win 200 seat single handedly (which is not possible), still the chances are dime, very few party(Shiv sena, SAD(Punjab), JMM) will support BJP. All the allied of BJP can gain only 20 odd seat together. If modi comes to power, it will be a miracle.

Who will come to power? My prediction in this election is that BJP with allied will get 150, congress will get another 150. The rest 250 seat will be with the CPI, JDU, AIADMK and other smaller parties, so someone from third front (Nitish or Praveen) might become our next PM.

Even Congress can’t be ruled out; they have very good grass hood level workers to bring enough seat to the party. Earlier there was a saying congress loss is BJP gain and BJP gain is congress loss. Both the party is equally corrupt and has equal intellect. Both are equally non-secular. But this time Congress loss will not be BJP’s gain. Modi can change nothing with his speech until he make peace with his past (Nitish, Godhra, other smaller party).

If modi has to win then along with Congress Nitish has to loss, Naveen Patnaik has to loss, AIADMK/DMK has to loss, YSR has to loss, SP/BSP has to loss. Only then their loss will be converted to BJP's profit. Which is not going to happen.

Six river flows from Pakistan to India(Indus River, Chenab River, Ravi River, Jhelum River, Sutlej River, Panjnad River) and few from China(Brahmaputra River). Pak and china is our biggest enemy but still they have enough common sense to share the natural resource and the dam is properly maintained by both the country under few water treaties. We do have few problems with China but nothing like what we have here in South India.

The problem with India is we Indian ourselves. The mullaperiyar dam issue and the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant is one of the best examples of it. It is politics. Why can’t we Indian not see the politics behind it?

Kerala and Tamil Nadu are inter-dependant aren’t we??. Both this state depend on each other for lot of things. If problem comes both will be effected badly. Being curios about this news I happen to see the map of the river and what surprises me is that the River starts in Kerala, flows in Kerala and ends in Kerala. Both the rivers, Mulla and Periyar originate and runs totally inside Kerala and still we have problem.

It all depends upon the common sense of a human being. A Dam of predicted life 50 to 60 years, and having 116 years how long the Dam will survive. It is the ideal time to construct a new Dam to save the Kerala as well as Tamil Nadu. Experts say Kundamkulam Nuclear Station is safe. TN Govt say Otherwise. Experts say Mullaperiyar is Unsafe, TN Govt Say Otherwise. Today’s news was even shocking, saw people throwing stones at shops run by malayalies and same case on the other side. Taking advantage of the prevailing misgivings between the two states over the dam issue, five persons, all office-bearers of the Tamil Thesiya some Katchi, suddenly appeared from nowhere and started smashing a tea stall, a fruit juice outlet, one near a bus stand, and another near a Tamil newspaper office(They were arrested later). People from TN heading to Sabaraimala who have been attacked with buses from TN being stoned in Kerala.

Something looks fishy with the intention of both the state, If safety is then only reason then why Kerala govt. is not giving proposed new dams ownership to TN, something fishy and cleverly articulated to spread unwanted panic among Kerala people, I have seen Mallus and Tamils were living like brothers than any other state peoples, now this trivial POLITICAL POWER STRUGGLE will create a big gap among these peoples, wake up my fellow Indian.

And Someone please Slap Vaiko, a clone of Digvijay Singh. Please tell stupid Vaiko to stop to give inflammatory messages against Kerala. Ultimately it will affect Tamil Nadu.

One thing is clear the ultimate aim of all the selfish politicians of both the states are getting achieved !. The reason why Hyderabad stopped developing is telungana. I just pray that Coimbatore is not affected in the same way.

Indian Telecom minister Kapil Sibal have asked Site like Facebook and Google to monitor the content in the site posted by the user. Both the company had decline and even challenged the supreme court of India saying that India is not a totalitarian regime like China. Working in the related domain I do understand that monitoring each and every content posted by the user is difficult and impossible. But one thing we User of Facebook should realize that many of our close ones account or picture is been misused and hence intervene from the government is needed. When High Court warn Google India that they might consider blocking Google and other sites like China. Google India Reply was "We are not totalitarian regime like China"

Yes, India is not a totalitarian regime like China. India is a democracy. Indians have democratic rights unlike Chinese. Chinese are forced to live in clean, modern cities. Indians have the freedom to live in slums, poverty and dirty cities. Chinese are forced into a literacy rate of 95%. Indians are free to have the highest number of illiterate people in the world. Chinese are forced into respecting women. Indians have democratically made their nation into the 4th most dangerous for women. Corrupt Chinese politicians/bureaucrats are hanged by their authoritarian regime. Corrupt Indian politicians are free to get away with it thanks to a democratic respect for the rule of law (namely those who can pay have the protection of the law, the poor do not). Chinese are forced into having a unified national identity that makes them a strong and united people. Indians are free to claim areas of India for their own, separate the people there by religion, caste and language, decide who can have human rights and who can't, and spread hate, distrust, and jealousy towards their fellow Indians. In China, you commit a crime and the authoritarian regime will punish you. In democratic India, you commit a crime, you get elected as a politician, enriched as a businessperson, or just plain get away with it. Yes, we Indians have every reason to look down on Chinese, how they must be so envious of their Indian neighbours and their great democracy. We are all so lucky and must be grateful for our freedom to be Indians. The world is so jealous of us.

DEMOCRACY DOES NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO OFFEND OTHERS OR DEVIATE YOURSELF FROM YOUR CULTURAL VALUES. NOBODY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO WORK IN AUTOCRATIC MANNER BY TAKING SUPPORT OF THE WORD DEMOCRACY.

Seeing your close people in a compromising situation will be also objectionable take a note of that. This is freedom of speech and you are asking not to ban it. You will abuse me I will abuse you in the name of freedom of speech, This is what being told to check by the govt, but as usual BJP and others are twisting the tale.

Also I too feel personally that Software offences should be investigated only by NASSCOM and not by our typical judges who qualifies only by caste based reservation and doesn't have basic knowledge of computers. And the way Kapil Sibal has been talking about these case makes him look like viako. Anyways Kapil hasn't made a fool of himself, He was born that way.

In fourth year of my college I had this sudden feeling that I need to put on some weight. And I wasn't eating well cos I was not feeling hungry enough. So I decided to meet a doctor. There are two Hospital in our campus, one claims to be doing charitable work and spreading the Gospel, they have all this God's picture and various words stuck on the wall(let me call it as "Our hospital"). And other one which has no sign of God or charity mentioned anywhere on their wall or on their Welcome board (named chinmaya). So I had presumed that our hospital was better. But on this day I wanted to go to Chinmaya(Reason: class was going on, the nurse or doctor might report my register number to the college authority for roaming out when the class was on).

The way in which the chinmaya hospital doctor treated me was something that I have never experienced before with any doctor. He spoke with me for 30 min for that small problem(no hunger). He gave me some medicine and took from me a very nominal fee(From my previous experience I can say that it was a lot cheaper and better than our hospital). He asked me where I come from?, What I was doing?, what I want to become? and other question to make me feel better.

Soon after this I went to our hospital to buy a medicine that wasn't available in chinmaya hospital. The staff there started asking question after question(Rudely). There behavior towards me made me question there values. I had to escape, I bluffed her that I was an outsider and gave them back some advice which was necessary for that moment.

I am not judging the staff of our hospital. If you want to be rude, be rude, But please do take out God's word and his picture that you have stuck on the wall. Don't take His name in Vain. I see christian having word like "JESUS LOVES YOU", "JESUS IS COMING SOON", "JESUS ROCKS", ...and other God's word stuck on their car and breaking the traffic rules. If you want to break the rule, break it , but first remove out the sticker. Don't take His name in Vain. If you are labeling yourself as a follower of God then better be one.
