it already December, it is raining here at Sarawak. my post for my July trip to Sandakan not yet finish, there still a little bit more picture i would like to share. even know the quality of the picture not much, as my lecture told me before. better late then never, that why even my post a little bit late but still i post it for my fellow bloggers out there..

even know there no quality with the picture because some of it taken using handphone & others by handycam, well much better then nothing.

if you came to Sandakan the special there is seafood you could choose from many restaurant, there also floating restaurant... nyum...nyummm...

lobster....i like.. but the lobster at Bekenu, Sarawak much cheaper then the others place..i think..

both of the picture of the landscaping were taken from the same place, if you have been or from Sandakan you might know this place.. i love how they decorate the garden with the palm tree..

Sandakan were developing and there were many new tall building rise every year, i was told by my cousin Sandakan much bigger then Kota Kinabalu. i'm not sure about that but if so that mean they need to start build many shopping complex.

my post always late, i am so busy doing this & that ( P.S don't even realise what i'm been doing ) . now i got more commitment, just last month i sign agreement to buy a house. i will show the picture next time... grin.... ok my post today still about the trip i had on July, just now i told you the trip was on July after how many post before. still got more then 200 km before we reach Sandakan, after Kundasang is Ranau but we did not stop at Ranau. After Ranau there others small district, we stop at Telipok for breakfast. sorry to says if some of my readers are Sabahan, ~~Telipok is a dirty place. the fly & the rubbish are all around, i never saw this kind of situation before. even they use the heavy machinery to lift all the rubbish from the roadside~~, i am so sad to see this kind of view at a beautiful land such as Sabah. Sabah is a beautiful place with a beautiful culture, because some of the local are origin from others country especially Indonesia & Philippine. i supposed to take the picture at Telipok but then again because of the unpleasant view i just kept one picture.....

i saw an old man selling medicine. to have people attraction he put a snake in a jar, i am not sure what the snake for but in my point of view the oil or what kind of the liquid from the jar will be use as medicine.

first thing i saw when we arrive at Sandakan, the sign for Orang Utan at Sepilok. but i don't have time to go there

another trademark for Sandakan is the Crocodile, big croc at the middle of the roundabout. that mean you almost there

SELAMAT DATANG KE SANDAKAN, in another words WELCOME TO SANDAKAN. the only place i saw many bandar or city... you will understand when you go there, anyway Sandakan is another interesting place at Sabah..

after my last post i'm thinking, why should i post the picture one at a time why don't i post it all. so here it is, some of the picture i just delete because i'm not satisfy with it. some of it blur, if i could get my hand on a better camera especially canon and learn how to snap a much better picture. i kind of fond with it, am i using my ~~' malaynglish '~~ again....LOL...~~still i want to type more words on this blog..~~

i can't remember this picture, i think it the same with the one i post last time. ok no matters maybe this one much better then the other.

WAAHHHHHHH..... big mosquito just come around, even know it's big but it does not suck blood as far as i know.

if i could get a much better picture of this type it should be more prettier then the first one..

even know i only stay for one night at Kundasang ~~( just because i cannot stand the cold temperature and the lousy food, sorry to say )~~ but i could take all of this picture, just because of all this attracted to light. that night i could see 15 type of different moth not including the mosquito.. LMAO.. a good experience and looking forward for another trip, this time i would bring more clothes..

this type easier for you to see sometimes it came into our house attract by the light..

Kundasang so cold at night, we drive from Kota Kinabalu around 1700 hrs the road was so narrow with many deathly corner. we arrive at Kundasang around 1900 hrs and it was raining, it dangerous to drive in the raining so we just spend the night at Kundasang. it was so cold make me so hard to sleep, what i like the most at Kundasang is the night creature. there many kind of moth you could see with different patent, lovely..even know the picture was not that nice hope you could enjoy, i snap a few picture so i just post it one at a time... be patient...

This post already bit to late but this is continued from the last i post before...
Kota Kinabalu still look the same, the last time i went here at the end of 2009. after went back to bintulu i'm happy to have another trip to Kota Kinabalu, i miss the food at ' Pasar Filipina ' or ' Phillipines wet market that what they call it here. from Sipitang to Kota Kinabalu it takes around 2 to 3 hours driving.. it much better you driving then using aeroplane, you could see all the great places..

the wet market, everyone who first time came to Sabah should come and eat here..trust me you would love it..

Le Meridien...among the well known hotel at Kota Kinabalu, but the hotel there much expensive then what we got at Sarawak..

The first place we stop when reaching Sabah is Sipitang, it just half an hour drive from Sarawak boarder, i ask my friend to stop by just to taste satay there. I was told by my friend about this place, there many places at open air near the sea selling satay. Most of the races at Sipitang as far as i know is Kedayan, at the time we came there they are having water festival. nice place with a nice view..

I just knew that 19 August is the World Photographer Day, it about celebrating photography and remembering how special the photograph can take. World Photography Day originates from the invention of the Daguerreotype, a photographic processes developed by Louis Daguerre. On January 9, 1839, The French Academy of Sciences announced the daguerreotype process. A few months later, on August 19, 1839, the French government announced the invention as a gift “Free to the World.”

Another photographic processes, the Calotype, was also invented in 1839 by William Fox Talbot (it was announced in 1841). Together, the invention of both the Daguerreotype and Calotype mark 1839 as the year that photography was invented.

The journey from Brunei start early, we went to boarder at 0530 and it open at 0600. There already many people standby there to go to Limbang or Brunei, i could see people from Limbang went to Brunei bringing along vegetable to sell a Brunei. My friend once told me she could get not less then RM5000.00 per month from this kind of business. We use the Limbang bypass to the boarder so there is no need for us to get stuck at the town area.

at this boarder we need to use ferry, joint venture between Malaysia and Brunei. what so funny about this boarder is you could see the Brunei from across the river, you just imagine if you stay there you could swim across the river but could not step your foot at other person soil. that is without passport of course. From immigration post at 'Pos Kawalan Labu' we need to drive at the highway around to hours before reaching boarder at Tambunan, it is a small district for Brunei. Finally we reach Lawas before went two Sabah boarder.

7 days 6 night trip from Bintulu,Sarawak to Sandakan, Sabah on road is a very interesting journey.. why i said it interesting because the trip start from the center of Sarawak that is Bintulu passing all the small town and village, 2 times pass Brunei to get to the tip of Borneo. Even know the ' Tip of Borneo ' is at a place call ' Simpang Mengayau ' just a few miles from Sandakan.

when the different of the Brunei Dollar 2 times more then the Malaysian Ringgit this make you think twice to stay at the hotel, even know the low cost hotel the are same prices as at Malaysia but it would be in Dollar. I still got a long way to go so me and my friend just stay at Masjid Kampung Limau Manis for the night, if not the boarders close at 10 pm we would be spending our night at Limbang, Sarawak but unfortunately we depart late from Miri..by the way the trip was earlier last month so i just post one at a time..

enjoying the cool sea brezee...

the view from the new coastal road , this was the alternative road from town to the Kidurong or the industrial area .

the man made beach ,most off the beach fill with stones but the view was fascinating

the place were suitable for recreation and relax .

what the most important thing about this place is the fish ,if you were lucky you might see the fish jump to the surface .

my family ask me what so great about bintulu that been keeping me here , well as far as i concern bintulu is a suitable place for me .less jammed easy for you to look for job especially in oil and gas company , we got the biggest liquid and natural gas in malaysia here and what i really love is it close to the sea .

she a little bit shy or just trying to save its life..

what i love about sarawak is the food we have here , we got all sort of food from delicious noodles to exotic food , last week i went to the fish market at kampung baru .if you looking for a fresh fish at bintulu i would like to suggest you to come to this market . they have all kind of food and vegetables , they even selling lobster around rm15 for 2kg .you just imagine the prices of the lobster when you went to the restaurant ,sometime 5 times more then they buy at market .

well as you could see there no lobster in the picture so maybe next times , at the market i saw them selling the snail . i remember the first times my mother cook for me.. nyum...nyum ... i prefer it to be cook with ketchup , it would be marvellous ..if you when to the town you could order for ' midnight kisses ' ( this should be order at night ) or sometimes they called it cup...cup...because you need to suck the flesh from the shell ,hope i'm using the correct word , ~~if you want to know how well is your kisses you should try this ....grin ...~~

did you notice anything in this picture ? yup .. .there was something beside the ordinary wood ... you could see the stripe of a fish , lol..you must think that fish only live in the water .~~well telling you the truth my friend not every things belong to a place where they should be ...~~

as a example what about penguin ? they said penguin is a bird but does it fly ? nope ... nope ... nope...so same things here .

but this fish also could swim . it could breath with or without water.the name....... ( i put blank there,could anyone give us the answer? ) ,

the local call it ' mukun ' . believe it or not but that what our ancestor called this fish , to know if it is fish or not this creature got gills .

so ... if any of you got info about it just share here ...

it's 2 am here at sarawak ,i fall asleep for 4 hours and not sleepy yet .all alone at this moment most of the people were sleeping waiting for a new day , even know you are staying at the town still you could find interesting small insect .well it has been a long time have i publish my post without picture ,even a small things has it own interesting colour ....

i have a visitor last month a group of bees came to visit my home,at first i thought they might staying for a long time at least until they collect many honey that i could harvest . my friend told me maybe they just transit because there is no flowers here , i never thought of that but after some times finally i realize . it was 3 days after that they already gone , i guess there would be no chances for me to become the honey dealers... just joking..

as we well known the bees would be in a group ,so many i guess it would be more then one thousand , i call the fireman to chase away the bees . but the point is if you could catch the queen then you could put it somewhere else , it just a idea but it not easy to catch the queen .

then i'm thinking , i'm just like a stupid guys out there .how about if i got a queen of my heart would it be just like the bees . and how many queen i could get ? my thought was how many loves do everyone of us have ?a love for our family , a love for our loves one , our carrier .if anyone could answer this i would like to know what is their reason for the answer .

what i want is to hold her in my arm . but if you could never fill it then it is useless , to know the answer it own by her .

Mukah Kaul Fest 2010

last week on 25 april i went back to mukah , i was thinking by that time i would be somewhere else but unfortunately ...well ..sigh.. anyway after more then 10 years finally i went back to celebrate the KAUL FEST at Tapak Kaul Kuala Lama , Mukah .Kaul festival were listed in the Malaysia tourism calendar , it is a traditional festival celebrate by melanau community living along the coast of central sarawak . the festival is the ritual of the purification and thanksgiving as well as one of the propitiation for the good fortune , it is celebrate at the end of the north east monsoon and it is mark as the beginning of the Melanau New Year . link for the melanau Kaul Festival and some more about melanau ..

this net were used by the melanau people to catch small prawn as the main ingredient to make belacan , if it is the first time you came to sarawak you should try our belacan ..nyum..nyum...

' tibou ' is the melanau traditional game ,it is a giant swing using rattan as the rope . the youth would dive down to catch the rope and hold on for as long as they could ,sometime there would be around 10 people holding at the rattan until it stop swinging .if you ask me it really hurt especially when you are among the first one to dive , i even got a bruise on my hip...haha...and this is the first time i try this game, it really exciting ... :p

every seconds , every minutes , every hours times is ticking . and by that time every things changes , environment changes , people around us changes , i used to told someone before what ever bad things in your past just let it be . start a new life , forget the hatred and live a happy life . but for someone that has been there it not a easy thing to do and that i need to understand , everyone has their own dark history but we need to keep on going with out life . for you out there please.. please.. please.. live a happy life and let go of the past..

sungai danum (danum river),belaga

as i post before sampan is the important transport for people living at the rural area,for a place that more using river as a transportation long boat is another alternative beside sampan.sometime you would need two people so the person at the front could warn the driver about the obstacle that may be appear..so the most important things is cooperation.

this picture were taken at sungai danum belaga,as post in my social network.i never could imagine to be in this guys shoes using this stream as a main connection to the outside world..
