bought an ovation glen campbell balladeer ( 1967-68 model) from ebay - right hand model. Asked bob to change it to left hand, sort out the neck, frets etc.Bob did a brilliant job at a very reasonable price, the guitar is so comfortable to play. I have never dealt with bob before but i was so pleased with his craftmanship i would certainly recommend him to anyone wanting repairs or a custom made guitar, many thanks bob.

Hi guys!
I'm a local songwriter and I'm looking for a producer to collaborate with to form a killer dance act.

In 2009 I was singer/songwriter for midlands club act "Bassland" and with my material we reached no.2 in the myspace club chart! I'm now looking to take this project to the next level and am looking for a producer to work directly with on this project.

If interested please check out samples at www.soundcloud.com/davehutchinson and drop me a message if interested!
Thanks

Yo dudes, we really love Birmingham and what it has to offer for music.

We're an independent band and have a great story (ASBOs, arrests, fines, gear confiscations etc), an interesting sound and an original style even if we do say so ourselves.

Our album 'City of Patience' is
available for streaming on Spotify etc, and can also be heard by
following this link:
http://www.weareshoshin.com/music.php

We'd love for you to check us out and let us know what you think, you can find out
more about us at www.weareshoshin.com

Thanks
Sophie.

Was Home of Metal actually good or was it's PR successful? I found it hard to stomach that a publicly funded initiative in a usually free public building had to charge money to get in. What were th audience numbers like? Who curated it? We're they in the music business?

Is this sudden interest by the Council in Music Heritage the result of the success of Capsule's 'Home of Metal' initiative which garnered national publicity for this city's metal music heritage? 'Home of metal' and the like is what 'Birmingham : The Creative City' should be about, not some amorphous initiative with the unknown Ed Vaizey MP as its mouthpiece. Let the City's 'Creatives' have the money rather than holding costly swanky events. The money spent on that event could have been used to better effect by Birmingham's creative community rather than 'crappy canapes for Conservative Councillors' IMO!!!!!
