In December we provided birthday cakes and birthday treats (treats are for school) to a five-year-old little boy and a five-year-old little girl! This week we are making cakes and treats for two seven-year-old little girls. Thank you so much to my wonderful volunteers!!! You gals rock!!!

Flyers, Volunteer Selection Ideas, Etc.

Hello everyone! Just a few things to pass along:
1) As I mentioned in an earlier post, flyers went out Tuesday via snail mail to local organizations that have some sort of connection with children and senior citizens. My son and I delivered flyers to local businesses today!
2) Initially I was going to send out a mass email once I receive a referral and select the volunteer by first come first serve. I am starting to get several volunteers and I don't know if this theory is going to work. I also know that some people are on their computer all the time and some are not so.....What does everyone else think? Suggestions would be great!!
3) I have several people that have offered to volunteer but are worried that their cake decorating skills are lacking! You DO NOT have to be a professional cake decorator to be a volunteer! Baking and decorating with love is all that is required!

Hello everyone and welcome to Birthday Cakes 4 Free Beloit. I would like to thank my wonderful, beautiful friend, Anna, for creating such a beautiful blog! Please add this site to your favorites and check it often (at least weekly) for updates and news regarding Birthday Cakes 4 Free Beloit.

As you can see I have attached the volunteer and referral forms on this blog that can be downloaded on your own computer. If you are interested in volunteering or know someone that could benefit from our services please let me know!

I am really excited to get the ball rolling! I think this organization will be very beneficial to our community! Flyers are going out via snail mail today to local organizations that are affiliated with children and senior citizens.
I am overwhelmed by the number of people that have already signed up to volunteer! WOW!! We are so fortunate to have such wonderful people in our community! Thank you for offering your time to help us in changing lives, one cake at a time!
