Two years ago, Bistri was the very first service to provide on a production platform an implementation of WebRTC.

Today we are really to proud to be the very first service that let you use your default browser to make WebRTC video calls & video conferences (up to 4 participants).

Yes, I mean IE on a PC, Safari on a Mac.

Bistri has had an eventful year.

In February, Bistri has been named finalist in Orange’s 4G contest

In May, Bistri has been nominated as “Cool Vendor 2013” by Gartner.
Bistri also launch WebRTCstats.com with other WebRTC vendors.

In June, Bistri received the “easiest to apply” Award at the WebRTC Conference & Expo in Atlanta. At this moment, Bistri is also the very first startup to make WebRTC video calls on Google Glass.

In September, Bistri is proud to be the first WebRTC company at TechCrunch Disrupt SF’s Startup Alley.

In October, Bistri CEO Nominated For The E&Y Entrepreneur Of The Year Award

In November, Bistri received the “Wow Factor” Award at the WebRTC Conference & Expo in Santa Clara.

When did you start to use Bistri?
We started to use Bistri a few month ago, in March 2013

How do you use Bistri?
We use Bistri almost everyday to contact our relatives all around the world and also to keep in touch with our friends connected to Facebook and “Вконтакт” (Russian Facebook) thanks to Bistri.

What do you like about bistri? Why are you using Bistri more than another service?
Obviously the simplicity, we are not computer experts. On top of that, it’s free and there is nothing to install. We really like the possibility to use Bistri on mobile phones and touchpads. The conference quality is also higher compared to the other services we tried.

What new feature would like Bistri to develop to make your life easier?
Conference with more than 4 persons could be a plus !

We are really excited to announce that Video effects and Screenshots are now available on the Bistri mobile web app.

How to experience these features? Just one click on your BistriLink or your Bistri Button with Mozilla Firefox for Android.

When you click on “save”, Bistri gives you a link that you can share anywhere. This link is also automatically sent trough the chat to the other person.

These features are available today on Android, using Mozilla Firefox for Android, and on Google Chrome for Android soon.

Congratulations! You’ve just created your Bistri account, and you are happily sharing your Bistri link around you. Your Bistri link can be included in your email signature or it can be a QR code on your business cards, or a link on your LinkedIn profile. Now you are wondering what kind of experience users clicking on your link will get on a mobile device.

You can try it on your Android tablet by entering your Bistri link in the Chrome browser. After entering your nickname, automagically your computer connected on Bistri.com is ringing.

If you are using an iPhone, an iPad, the video calls are not available yet, but you can already chat, send some pictures to the Bistri user.

If the Bistri user clicks on the Video Conferencing Button, the permanent link is sent through the chat to the Mobile user. One click and he lands on the video conference room. If someone share his screen over the video conference, the Mobile user will enjoy it too.
