Danny Cahill, the Season 8 winner of the popular weight loss reality show The Biggest Loser, is understandably thrilled that he was able to shed 239 pounds through “good old-fashioned exercise and calorie counting.”  His only problem continues to be the fact that he is still sporting a great deal of loose and hanging skin.

The former 430 pounder shed more than 55% of his body weight, winning the $250,000 price in early December.  Cahill has been on a promotional tour for the past few months, singing the praises of the television show that changed his life.

Danny appeared last week as a guest on The Doctors and lifted his shirt to reveal his excess skin to Dr. Drew Ordon, who went on to demonstrate how the problem can be surgically remedied – see video here.

Ordon offered to perform the skin reduction surgery compliments of The Doctors. Cahill accepted the offer and will return to the show at a future date to reveal his transformed body.

Season 5 winner Ali Vincent, who lost 112 pounds, has a different take on excess skin.  One can only speculate that she has better skin memory than her male counterpart.  We will go a step further to suggest that if her stomach looked anything like Danny Cahill’s, she would have already gone under the knife.

Sarah Palin is being ridiculed for using her own personal hand-o-prompter to provide talking points during the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, while knocking Barack Obama as the “charismatic guy with a teleprompter.”  The crib notes were: energy, budget tax cuts, and lift American spirits.

Palin’s use of her palm as a cheat sheet really irked political satirist Stephen Colbert. He took up the discussion on his show last night, pointedly mocking her speech.  The comedian went on to revisit the subject of Palin’s call for Rahm Emanuel’s firing because he used the word “retard” while excusing Rush Limbaugh’s use of the same word because it was merely satire.  At that point Colbert offered up this nugget: “Sarah Palin is a f***king retard.”

Another hot political jewel today is the Miss Me Yet? Bush billboard.  The signage depicts a smirking George W. Bush giving a little wave.

Clearly Barbra Streisand’s world isn’t driven by money.  The superstar was offered a 3-year $100 million deal to headline in Las Vegas but she isn’t interested.

The deal would have been one of the biggest Vegas contracts in history.  Celine Dion took Vegas by storm in 2003 and sold out her shows night after night until wrapping “A New Day” in December 2007.  Since her departure from Vegas, nobody has been able to fill her shoes — not even Bette Midler, Elton John or Cher.

Streisand is planning to go on tour this summer.   The hefty sum of $100 million is an insane amount of money but Barbra isn’t interested.  That decision is definitely a huge loss for Sin City.

The internet has been buzzing for the past few days with rumors of a billboard showing George W. Bush waving on one side, and the question Miss Me Yet? emblazoned beside his photo.  Many called the rumors nothing more than an urban myth until the billboard photo was produced by Minnesota Public Radio.

The signage appears along I-35 near Wyoming, Minnesota, a northern suburb of the Twin Cities.  The search is on to find out who paid for the large ad.  According to MPR, no one has come forward to claim ownership of the sentiment, which appears to be an obvious nod to all of those who are unhappy with the performance of President Barack Obama.

Political satirist Stephen Colbert verbally attacked the former Alaska governor last night, proclaiming that “Sarah Palin is a f**king retard.”

One shareholder of Playboy isn’t going to sit back and watch any longer as offers to purchase the enterprise come in and get turned down.  A class action lawsuit has been filed blaming founder Hugh Hefner for continuing his expensive lifestyle while his empire falls.

There is an investment company who has analyzed the business and found this: “We think the wild card here is Hugh Hefner.  If you were Hugh Hefner, 81, would you give up the parade of busty blondes, the fancy mansion and the reality TV show for a payout?”

In 1999 you could purchase a share of Playboy stock for $36.   Today you can get the same stock for a mere $3.14 – far less than the $5.99 it takes to purchase a monthly issue of the magazine.

The shareholders have had enough.  The suit goes on to say, “Hefner has continued to live the good life and make sure everyone knows it.  Hefner remains in the limelight, showing up at media events and at the Playboy mansion…with his girls by his side.”

I has not been revealed (yet) how much the shareholders are looking to gain from the lawsuit.  No matter what happens it is a safe bet that Hugh will never have to go without his bevy of babes.

Supermodel Brooklyn Decker graces the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2010.  The news was released by David Letterman on February 8, 2010.

Dave began the drama by panning to a huge Times Square billboard.  A white drape was pulled away to reveal a photo of U.S. Senator Scott Brown’s now famous Cosmo centerfold photo.  Dave quipped, “No, no…that’s not right.”

Then Letterman got down to the serious business at hand and revealed gorgeous Brooklyn Decker in a yellow bikini bottom.  Her string top is haphazardly thrown over her shoulder as she folds an arm strategically across her breasts.

Brooklyn is making the rounds to promote the most popular Sports Illustrated magazine issue of the year.  When asked by one of the hosts of the Today Show what it was like to be picked to appear on the cover, the blonde beauty replied,  “It is equivalent to being named the MVP of the Super Bowl.”

Decker is married to pro tennis player Andy Roddick.  He first spotted his future wife while flipping through the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.  His agent contacted her and the two began dating in 2007.  The couple exchanged wedding vows on April 17, 2009.

Gerard Butler is auctioning an evening of his company to raise money for a children’s cancer charity.

An extremely lucky fan is going to win a date with the 300 star, who offered a date night to benefit the non-profit organization Kids Kicking Cancer, which teaches martial arts to empower young cancer patients.

Fans who make a $20 donation will be entered into a drawing for the date with Butler. The actor has also donated invitations to an upcoming film premier and a visit to one of his films’ sets.

Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are taking the editors of a Bristish newspaper to court over reports that the couple plans to split.

The News of the World tabloid ran an article on January 24 claiming that Pitt and Jolie had met with Los Angeles divorce attorney Sorrell Trope to negotiate a division of assets and custody of the couple’s six children.

Trope denies being in contact with the couple and their lawyer Keith Schillings is taking action to put an end to the false reports.

Schillings issued a statement Monday stating that Pitt and Jolie have started legal proceedings against the tabloid after it’s editors failed to meet a demand for a retraction and apology. Shillings claims the report includes “false and intrusive allegations.”

Kate Gosselin has penned another book.  The two-time best selling author is set to launch “I Just Want You To Know: Letter to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family” on April 13, 2010.  The book is being released by international Christian media and publishing company Zondervan Publishers – advance order link here.

The book covers the three years her family lived in their Elizabethtown home, a period Kate considers one of the happiest of her life.  She discusses the transition from caring for infants to the challenge of chasing after preschoolers.

The message that Kate hopes to pass along with her latest book is this: “Moms, don’t ever stop doing your best.  Don’t ever stop trying to make today better than yesterday.  In addition to making sure my kids know how much I love them, I’m writing this book to encourage other mothers.”

Gosselin continued: “Being a mother is the most tiring job you will ever have, and it’s the most worthwhile job too.  I want to inspire moms to create the memories and traditions that will provide their kids with a good foundation.”

Kate’s first two books were “Multiple Blessings” and “Eight Little Faces”.    In addition to writing the new book, Kate is busy filming a new reality show for TLC.

Drew Barrymore was involved in a car accident with paparazzi as she was leaving Byron Hair Salon in Beverly Hills this afternoon.

Barrymore was hit from behind at a stop light on Beverly Blvd. and Doheny Dr. and got out of her car screaming at the photographer, according to X17 Online.  The two reportedly exchanged information and Drew then left the scene.
