Please girl’s–don’t send us hate mail because these were Robert Pattinson’s own words, not ours.  Busy promoting the latest installment of the popular vampire series Twilight: New Moon, Robert has been answering many personal questions about his life.

On top of the list are inquiries about his love life.  Everyone wants to know how he would treat a girl.  Rob actually considers himself wimpy.  He said, “I can’t think of a single romantic thing that I have done.  I would never serenade someone to be romantic – you have to have so much balls to do that.  I put a flower in someones locker when I was 15 years old, this girl named Maria.  She thought that it was someone else, and the guy claimed it as well, which is great.”

Rumored to be dating his Twilight costar Kristin Stewart, Robert is overly private and calls himself “obsessive and possessive”.  He acknowledges that he can take things to extremes and at times it can be ridiculous.

Pattinson will not allow anyone to call the shots in his life.  He said, “I don’t listen to anyone else.  That’s why I don’t have a publicist – I can’t stand it if someone is trying to tell me to do something which might be a mistake.”

Girls and women of all ages are “in love” with Robert and/or his character Edward Cullen.   Alixis Smith wrote in to tell us about her love for Robert and we gotta say, she is pretty much right on the mark with her observations, which seem to mirror the way Pattinson describes himself:

“Most people love him as Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga books.  I however love him for who he is.  He is the “typical” boy next door, who admits he is not perfect.  He is just a normal guy who probably doesn’t want to have so much attention drawn to him.  Besides being an excellent actor, he is a talented musician who writes his own music, sings and plays many musical instruments.  I like the normalness of how you see him in the media and how he doesn’t have to pretend to be somebody he’s not.  So I basically love him a lot, as a whole package.”

Josh Freeman was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round (17th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.  He started his first professional game at home on Sunday, November 8th, and pulled off a win against the Green Bay Packers.

It was the team’s first win this year, putting them at 1-7.  With losses in their last four games in 2008, the embarrassing string was actually 11 losses before the wunderkind turned the tide today in Florida.

Freeman became the youngest quarterback in NFL history to start and win his first game.  The 21-year-old played his 3-year collegiate career at Kansas State, where his stats were impressive with 680 passes completed for 8,078 yards and 44 touchdowns in 35 career games.

The rookie quarterback signed a five-year, $13.5 million contract, including $10.245 million in guarantees.  The deal could balloon to as much as $36 million.

The final score was Green Bay 28, Tampa Bay 38.

Awww!  It is always fun reading about a couple that knew right from their first encounter that they were destined to be together.  Actress Thandie Newton is a true romantic who knew right away that English writer and producer Ol Parker was “the one.”

In an interview for the December issue of UK InStyle magazine, Thandie said, “He wrote a screenplay called In Your Dreams that I filmed in 1997.  It’s very unusual to have writers around on set because directors don’t want them there.  But they love having Ol around.  He was on the set every day and I fell madly in love with him…”

Newton had never experienced such a love.  In fact the second she met Ol she broke up with her then boyfriend, who she described as a sweet and lovely man, even though she wasn’t yet dating Ol.

Obviously Thandie was right about her feelings.  The couple dated for two years before marrying 11 years ago and have two daughters, Ripley and Nico.

Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal declared a state of emergency in anticipation of Hurricane Ida on Sunday.  The declaration is a precaution that will enable state resources to be used for emergency and disaster situations.

The Louisiana National Guard, state Wildlife and Fisheries and LA State Troopers have all been placed on high alert, and have been ordered to maintain a state of readiness should they need to begin moving equipment and manpower.

Coastal stretches of southeast Louisiana are the main concern.  The area could see winds, rain and high tides that could lead to flooding.  On Sunday Hurricane Ida, moving across the Gulf of Mexico, was listed as a Category 2 storm.

Chicago Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris was ejected from the Sunday game against the Arizona Cardinals a mere 65 seconds into the November 8th contest.  It could well be an NFL record for the earliest ejection in history.

At the end of an Arizona running play, Harris and Cardinal lineman Deuce Lutui ended up on the ground.  Before getting up, Tommie unleashed a couple of staccato punches to his competitors face – see video below.

The Bears were assessed a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and Harris was summarily dismissed to the locker room for an early shower by no nonsense referee Ed Hochuli.

The Cardinals beat Chicago 41-21 final.

Actor George Clooney and his latest girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, have been an item since July.  The Italian model and actress from Sardinia is hotter than hot and Playboy has come calling.

Elisabetta is showing off her gorgeous body in an upcoming issue of Playboy magazine.  She is being dubbed, “The hottest beauty from the most exquisite of countries” in her section of the magazine.

In her photos, Canalis is seen pouting in a wet, see-through dress, leaving nothing to the imagination.  We wonder if the photo spread was done before or after she met George.

The Strikeforce M-1 Global heavyweight bout between Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers was held on Saturday, November 7, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

The action ended at 1:48 with a TKO in the second round when Emelianenko (31-1) landed a right hook that sent Rogers (10-1) down to the mat and then delivered a series of punches to his face before referee John McCarthy ended the fight.

During the post-fight interview – see below – Fedor said he was never in trouble, his cut nose wasn’t an issue and the seven minute bout went down exactly as planned.

Next up for Emelianenko is a championship match against Alistair Overeem in April 2010.

Sammy Sosa and his wife Sonia Sosa have been photographed at several red carpet events this year and to the surprise of most, the former MLB athlete appears to be undergoing a skin transformation from black to white.

We’ve included photos of the couple taken in New York City in May, and have contrast it with a photo taken on November 4 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.  Sammy’s skin pigmentation appears to have changed dramatically, leading most people to suppose that the home run hitter is using makeup to cover a skin discoloration known as vitiligo.

There are several underlying causes of the depigmentation, one of them is steroid use.  It was reported earlier this year that Sosa tested positive for steroids when he was playing for the Chicago Cubs in 2003.

Michael Jackson and news anchor Lee Thomas are two public figures said to have been afflicted by the medical condition.

Jennifer Lopez filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday against her ex-husband Ojani Noa. The Cuban chef, turned writer, was married to J-Lo for eleven months in 1997.    He is apparently attempting to release a movie entitled How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The JLo and Ojani Noa Story, in direct violation of a previous court sanctioned confidentiality agreement.

That isn’t the worst of it.  According to the court filing, Noa claims to have 11 hours of video footage of the couple, including intimate honeymoon footage taken in their hotel room.  The singer believes that the footage shows her in various states of undress and engaging in sexual situations.

Smack in the middle of the controversy is TMZ.  According to the documents, the celebrity news website has “entered into a contractual agreement” with Noa for the “exclusive right to the home movies.”    TMZ calls those claims “patently false.”

Lopez is charging breach of contract and invasion of privacy and is seeking at least $10 million and wants a judge to order Noa’s project dead in the water.
