Learn to focus and stop the mental confusion. You’ll get ahead way faster. Once the neural pathways are cleared, you have a really free flow of traffic. You can focus on anything and it goes smoothly. And here’s the crux. You must focus on one thing at a time in order for your ideas to travel with speed and volume. Just think about what downtown traffic is like in rush hour. That’s what most people’s minds are like most of the time. How can anyone focus and create anything?

Imagine, there are about a million people all walking in every direction. The roadways are jam packed with cars. Construction clogs up the lanes. The traffic lights can’t seem to turn on the right colours. Taxis stop where and when they please. Busses and trucks slow down the traffic and block your view of oncoming traffic. Bicycles weave in and out. People yell and curse. Even if you’re driving a Bughatti Veyron, you’re going nowhere fast. And this is what is happening in your mind if you do not learn to develop absolute focus.

Mental Confusion Defeats Success

By its very nature, mental confusion is already doing what it is described as. It distracts your mind from any focus. In fact, you’re likely thinking about a thousand different things an hour. That’s quite shocking. Like you, I’ve been wondering where and how I can do that! In fact, if that’s what my brain can do, that’s tremendous power within my body! But that’s the power I have been using automatically thinking of all sorts of things all around me almost identical to the downtown street activity downtown. I’m going nowhere fast.

This is not mental disease. And there’s no need to try to make excuses for it. The brain is prewired that way. It reacts immediately to stimuli. That means whenever an input that affects the senses and also the brain, your mind will tell your body to act in a certain way. Now, that’s amazing. Imagine trying to decipher the myriads of information slamming at you every second. Some say at least ten thousand pieces of information is what your brain needs to process every second. No wonder there is confusion. In fact, scientists claim that the brain filters most of these bits out and there goes most of your cognition missed! This mental confusion becomes automatic and it seems everything else is glossed over. You do not focus on most things.

Learn To Focus

Isn’t it rather a scary thing that you are missing out on so much of your life? Perhaps that’s your bliss as in ignorance. Can you imagine forgetting to go to work and then getting fired? No, but why would you want to go back to work after rushing to the corner Tim Horton’s thinking of nothing but your latte? But then, somehow you remember you have to go back to work on time. Lunch hour is almost over. Hey, congratulations! You’ve just focussed on something very intensely.

So, focus does have its use after all. It can give you what you want. At the very least focus directs you toward a goal or your dream. Focus is very simply reminding your brain and body to do a certain set of things or carry out tasks which have been laid out. Again, this is a result of another focus. Perhaps your wife will not put you into the dog house again. You learn through pain, failure and simply having had enough of things going wrong.

The prize in doing things right often enough is that you complete your goals which is a directed focus. Then do them some more, this focus becomes a habit and you do them automatically. In fact, dreams are manifested from this. You see, you are constantly thinking about the tasks which you have set yourself. It becomes fun and you repeat it all again. Thus the habit in your mind has come full circle. It now focuses on the habit of focusing on what you have set your desires on! Notice how the mental confusion has disappeared?

There are tools you can use to help you focus. Make a collection of reminders that you use every day. Write in your notebook or diary in blue ink on white paper (you remember better). Then put a note on your mirror so you see it every morning and night. Put a note on your car visor. Put it on your computer screen, on your tv or anywhere else that you happen to frequent. Make a voice recording when you begin your radio or MP3. Read a book that reminds you of that issue. Listen to audios that do the same. Oh, yes, make very sure you act on these messages all the time. Now, isn’t it much more fun driving that Bughatti Veyron you dream about through an empty road?

Wow, you’re hot! A friend exclaimed in surprise as she hugged me. “Maintain fantastic health for success. It boosts energy so that whatever you work on will receive a greater boost in effectiveness” a friend once told me so long ago. It took me more than a decade to realise it working so well. Think of it this way. Since your mind encompasses your whole body, all the cells being intelligent will work together to send and receive signals to the universal energy or ether. And if your energy is constantly being boosted by fantastic health, just imagine how much more effective your efforts will become in anything you focus upon. Oh, and becoming a heat generator is one sign that your body is doing just that.

1) Keep An Attitude Of Feeling Great
This is an attitude thing and not one done with drugs or booze. The positive mentality keeps your energy high. For example:

2) Meditate With Purpose
I’ve been mentored many years ago to never go into any meditation with the intention of leaving my mind blank. Remember, the universe provides. But worse, what if nefarious and toxic thoughts or vibrations wander into your mind when you’re so receptive? My preference is to be conscious of what I want. Practice my Will so to speak. Then go into meditation knowing that my mind and the universe will provide. Only then is it safe to leave my mind go ‘blank’! I arouse feeling really powerful this way to accomplish my tasks for the rest of the day.

3) Great Nutrition
Rule number one is to stop eating junk! Fast food is the obvious culprit. Then come the nefarious GMO or genetically modified organisms which you must avoid – imagine eating strange toxins, insecticide and goodness knows what other man created combos of protein, and cells. Ask your medical doctor first. He or she may still insist you remain on the plethora of medications which are prescribed to combat symptoms other medications cause. Just remember these are toxic and artificial chemicals also called drugs.

At the same time, eat good and reliable organic foods. It’s surprising but you will actually save money despite their higher unit costs. Also, boost your nutrient intake through proper supplementation. I personally consider government recommended guidelines to be inadequate. Follow the more truthful and appropriate websites like Dr. Mercola. I have personally found such advice absolutely on the mark and my health and strength has been improving drastically over the years. Get some sunshine and stop using those cancerous slathering called sun-block! Keep yourself at peak physical condition.

4) Exercise
There is no need to exercise like an Olympian every day. In fact, that is damaging. Find a shorter alternating regime that builds strength, builds muscle and builds your mental clarity. A simple exercise like alternating high stress and then followed by low impact activity repeated over eight cycles is extremely beneficial. You can use weights too. The whole process may only take about half an hour which includes the warm-ups. Even taking long walks help here. Fresh air and fresh energy is always good for you.

Boost Energy For Success

If you are still wondering if anyone else do this. Simply look around at the successful entrepreneurs in your neighbourhood. Notice how much energy they seem to have? Notice too how much they seem to impact anyone around them? Their energy is infectious. That is the power of the way they transmit their energy. That is why you want to boost your power for anything you do. And one of the easiest ways is to boost your health.

Actually, you might want to speak with the most dedicated athletes. They, like the entrepreneurs appear to have immense energy. No one seems to be able to dissuade them from their objectives. Talk with them and you’ll notice they do most if not all of what I have outlined. And some of them do even more! They are so driven.

Now, boosting your energy takes a dedicated purpose. Remember the famed and most quoted personal development phrases of Napolean Hill? If your mind can conceive what you want, you can achieve it. It also means that the more powerfully you can send out your desires and focus upon it, you can achieve it faster. There is momentum here. The speed with which your dreams unfold must be acted upon, the sooner the better. It is a continuous process. The more you boost your energy, the faster success comes to you.

Climb To Success

To climb to success we must do what the champ did. I watched a bunch of kids on this warm and wonderful winter day climbing up a very tall tree (sorry, no camera). To my surprise, I spied a young girl up at the very top end on the tree. The rest of her friends were all near the bottom boughs yelling at her for help to get way up there! She yelled back instructions on where to put their feet and hands with such expert climbing advice.

However, out of twenty kids, only one small boy gamely did everything and joined the girl right at the top. The rest gave all sorts of excuses why they can’t. It’s usually something about not wanting to put one foot and one hand hold over the next. Others didn’t even try. If you want to get to the top of the tree there are some things you must do to get there. If we’re like wizards, we can just blink and go magically from A to Z. But in this universe we go through each step like the letters of the alphabet before reaching the zenith.

The scenario reminded me of my youth. I was always the one to get to the top of the tree. I was so motivated mainly because I simply wanted to get away and have some peace. Anyway, it paid handsomely during fruiting season as I get paid to get the ripe fruits for the tree owners. Then friends wanted to join me to earn some money too. But try as I might, none of them would have the character to get to the top of any tree.

The lesson here is so clearly demonstrated by children but it applies equally to everyone, especially us adults. Actually we tend not to try more often because of that dreaded pride we tend to hide behind. It’s also sometimes known as excusitis. We create a million excuses before we even give it a try or try to do it regardless of what it takes to get us to the top of the success tree.

How To Climb To The Top

Before we can get anywhere, lest a precarious challenge to the summit, define your destination. When you have, we can begin. You do this so that your eye is only on the destination.

1) Get a hand up.
The easiest way by far is to get someone like an already successful person to get you up there by other means like using a rope and pulley or a cherry picking machine. However, this is also your future downfall. The next time a challenge comes about, how are you going to get to the top without help? Thus it’s best to learn to get there yourself so that you can repeat that feat over and over again.

2) Be willing to be taught.
Or better yet, be willing to learn the steps and do them one by one. We often don’t drop that wonderful wall we adults love to hide behind. It’s something awfully heavy because it crashes extremely hard and painfully. It’s called pride.

3) Form habits to reach the top.
Follow the steps diligently and exactly as taught or instructed. The steps will include what to think or not to think, where to look and what exercises you must adhere to hourly, daily, weekly or even monthly. It becomes a part of your lifestyle.

4) Practice, practice and more practice.
Watch those great champion athletes. Did they get that physique overnight? Did they become so proficient every because they decided to yesterday? Not on your life! They train, thought, slept and constantly developed their craft with trainers and mentors for most of every day for many years. Even the champions continue to train and develop to remain at the top of their game. Success does not come in a day. It takes work. Some people get there faster but only the ones who never give up climbing get to the top.

5) Gain pleasure from its accomplishment.
There’s always something extra to be gained from having your activity give you that extra boost with pleasure. Just like s*x. No pleasure, what’s the point? With pleasure of accomplishment, you think more about it and more about what you can do to become more proficient in your game.

6) Find Your Mentors
I say ‘your mentors’ because one huge question before you can trust your future development to anyone is to find a mentor who has done it and can teach you the way you know will get you faster and better to the top of the heap. So, who do you listen to? It may be that you have a bunch of friends who are helpful with advice but they have not the real ability you seek.

7) Test Yourself Against The Best
Get into the real world and test your abilities. Putting yourself to the test against the best will tell you where you stand. To get to the very top simply means your competitive spirit requires you to up your game time and time again. Learning and then hiding your skills simply means you don’t really know where you stand. Are you at the base or near the top?

8) Developing Character
Getting to the top means many obstacles or even emotional exhaustion and physical setbacks. Perhaps, you are defeated in competition or the tree you were climbing was the wrong one. It is the person with true character who will get up, dust yourself off and do it all over again to win. The initial elation is over and what is left is a lot of hard work. Often there seems to be no gratification at all in sight. Yet, you know the goal is always in your vision and what a pleasurable sight it is. In fact, you can taste it. You want it. You’ll do anything, no matter how difficult or ridiculous to get there. That is what success with character is about.

Everybody appears to love a winner. And then you’ll also notice deadbeats grumbling and despising that same person. Think about it for a moment you’ll realize the most successful people are adventurous and above all else exude an indomitable self confidence. Lifestyle Of Abundance Or Retirement Plan?

An old friend invited me to his lifestyle of abundance. He still runs several very healthy businesses, goes to the gym daily and runs cross country every weekend. And he still takes his wife all over the world every other month. But she declared they should retire and disappear into an island somewhere in the South Seas.

So many of my friends speak constantly of their wondrous retirement plan, they say simply have had enough and want to put up their feet on the beach and stay there forever. Children, grandchildren, relatives and friends can visit. “This is my retirement plan,” he roared! “They can all hide in their rat holes and stay there until buried but I’m having too much fun living it up!” By the way, he’ll be celebrating his 100th birthday in a couple of years.

Lifestyle Choice

Paradise Beach - Retirement Or New Lifestyle

We all choose but putting our desires into dedicated action makes it imperative we will get to our destination. I observed those friends having settled into their mode of behaviours as each year over the past two decades or so, they seem to do the same things over and over again. Day in and day out, they work, they have dinner, pay their taxes, grumble about the economy, complain about losing money on their retirement plan, go to church and then do them all over again. In fact, they have settled on their dreams.

Now ask them to change that lifestyle via a new business opportunity or some daring do that will take much effort and much change in their routine will always be responded with “I can’t do that! It’s too risky, excuse, excuse and more reasons why my retirement must not be at risk.” So, anyone selling these people who ‘have it made’ anything, even if it’s obviously the best low risk investment ever, will be met very negatively out of fear for their retirement.

Retirement Plan

A perfect retirement plan says you have enough money to last you another two or three decades and then they will be far too old to enjoy life. Alternatively, they are expecting their funeral arrangements will take care of them if the government won’t. They are predicting their demise.

To have any change to that idyllic lifestyle of dreaming for that heavenly retirement ‘when their time comes’ always means they are too old to do anything else. They have predicted their future. And that future is their retirement plan. Not my place in life I don’t think. I much prefer that old friend’s outlook on life.

Lifestyle Of Abundance

Who says, abundance must end? Only lifestyle planners like the governments, banks or any of those people who have financial assets as their business do. A lifestyle of abundance mean life changes to a different path. Retirement is not on the radar screen. In fact, because of the amassed wealth, the greater experience and much wisdom, this new lifestyle can take on a new and more gratifying experience.

Have you ever travelled to places where centenarians are in abundance like in some Himalayan villages? They can out dance me and they celebrate life every single day! Their lives are filled with visits from people from afar who seek their wiser counsel. Then watch as someone who appears to be in their sixties come up and ask for a dance on one of those tourist resorts may surprise you. The surprise is that this person has already celebrated about a hundred New Years. And yep, true enough this is his yacht we’re all celebrating on.

Choose your retirement planning carefully. Is it perpetual or a finite one? For me, it’s the lifestyle of abundance forever…

Why Personal Development Training Was Once A Success Secret

Personal development training was deliberately declared as the devilish works by the pastor I once knew. Even the government departments that dealt with education denied many students the right to attend these personal development seminars and courses that started to be offered. As I continued to seek out these masters to train me, I realised that the training was a success secret the elites didn’t want the larger population to learn. There was obviously a much deeper reason why personal development training and courses were so deliberately denied by the powers that be.

Try as I might, I was ordered to stop trying to get into “…all those useless personal development training”. But that was so long ago. However, these biases have done their damage in society’s understanding of self growth for wealth and success. Just ask around and you’ll be shocked that personal development training only appears to be the “status quo”. The larger population still does not believe nor even trust its effectiveness in people’s own achievement in anything. Wiser ones amongst us say that it takes at least two generations for the older ways to be changed. That appears to be the truth in action.

Persecution of the personal development teachers by governments and churches as I was growing up was common place. We would read and hear about this issue daily about how some ‘guru’ had been arrested and all his or her assets taken away. People’s fees were reclaimed. In fact, the media was widely used to decry any benefits that personal development could offer. As far as the government and church leaders were concerned, only the church leaders had the right to be the de-facto personal development gurus or teachers.

If any church leaders of the time; be they from any denomination of churches, other religious groups and any former government education heads or politicians, I do not apologise. In fact, I do encourage you to support personal development training for the masses as you know that to be the best way to success for everyone. It is still sad that we still witness the persecution of people who are so effectively training people the right way to become wealthy or successful. Are they becoming the thorn in the side of the elitist ones? Just remember that you are in the smallest minority of our time. Help or join everyone else or run the risk of getting dominated by the majority.

Despite the belittling of the effectiveness of all these self growth teachings, the word has gotten out and more people have been paying attention. Witness the vast growth of successful people over the past decades.

Personal development as the success secret of the elites is thus already well proven. All it requires is for more people to undertake a determined effort in learning the success secrets that are now very much out in the open.

Who Do You Learn From

Personal development or success secrets being thrown about on the internet and even in the mainstream media are now truly commonplace. But what is happening are the huge numbers of very much false information being sold. Many of the truly established personal development teachers caution that there is too much misinformation. Much are deliberate, some by well meaning but misled people.

So who do you want to learn from? Always strive to find one or more truly successful person to listen to. You may ask, but if there are people who are successful but not yet a teacher with a successful track record, do you still pay attention to them? Yes, you do. You pay attention to how they became successful because this is what will lead you to build your success. Doing what they did as they were building their success is more important than doing what they are doing now.

Now that you trust certain people, there are those who have already a very developed success record of apprentices or followers who have become successful. These people have obvious credibility. And once again, the better teachers will always tell you to learn to walk the trail of the successful master. Only after you have followed that trail to success can you be so. In effect, you are emulating that person.

How can anyone use their thoughts to find the right teachers to learn from? Actually, this is the very best way. Others will say use your vibes. As vibes match, the mentor you seek will appear. I simply tell you that the old cliché about being ready in thought as a student or apprentice, and the teacher or guru will appear. Your thoughts create a pattern that will lead you or someone will be led to you. Paths of teacher and student merge. The trick is to recognise the event and accept it.

They will tell you they find who they wish to listen to and follow in their steps to success.

Love Transcends Time And Space

Love is the most powerful force in the universe. If so, then love must overcome everything else that existed, in creation and in any future. How can the meaning of a simple four letter word exist? “Love transcends time and space” is not just wishful thinking but has been written and spoken of by the wisest of wise and from a mother to her new born. To say those words is to say that we all experience it.

As a child, I asked many questions as I was lost in the throes of life. I started to understand that experiences are just like the start which is innocence and wisdom after all else has occurred. From these experiences, love holds one and all together. Here’s a little story about how a love can transcend all time, space to manifest.

Energy Of Love Transcends Time And Space

Ghost Story

Hushed tones during the evenings are what we loved as children as the adults tell of strange things that happen. I still enjoy the story about a young man who was never well received by the village because of some things that happened before his birth. It was something about dire predictions that will befall anyone who helped this child born of uncertain circumstances. All but his grandmother loved and took him in like her very own. All dire consequences to anyone who dared to even speak ill of him. She’ll simply cut them off from her generous doling out of goodies.

And even many years later, he would tell of the times when he needed guidance as he grew up, he would smell grandma’s perfumed powder as he used to be hugged upon her bosom. The right actions would then be whispered into his ears. He went through life guided by grandma’s wondrous wisdom. That is a wonderful thing until we all realised his grandma had passed on for many years. Yep, goose pimples for all of us after that. But how did such love last so long? He still loves her and is still in connection with the singularly wise woman who raised him. Yes, he still lives.

Quantum Event

Then came along our modern sciences which explains with proof that one event occur many times because one event is composed of that many pieces of energy. No two events have the same energy therefore some events will occur more times or less than others. So, do we have a choice if one thing occurs and then we can literally choose what we want?

Scientific calculations tell us that there are huge amounts of energy that make up each event. Then the revelation that in each quantum event, time and space seems to disappear. Everything is connected to everything else. One event affects another. Identical events can occur anywhere else in this universe. How convenient!

Love Transcends

That explains my own experiences. How was it that I had survived many apparent ends to my life? Things and events occurred just as I had wished for when under duress and especially when the emotions and feelings for a particular situation ran so high I just knew it would come about. Then the wisdom of my teachers started to ring true and clear about love. Those feelings were about love. Love that I want my children to be safe. Love that I wanted to start a new life in a different land. It is love that I would survive and thrive despite of the worst that would visit me.

So, then what was being described was true. Burning desire is love. Being in the Vortex is love. Being in Buddha’s arms is love. Healing with the powers of heaven in Christianity or Moslem is all love. These vibrations are so extremely high and so powerful nothing else can overcome it. In fact this love overcomes everything else. Focus is one of the actions you must use but to love is the emotion and the feeling to be transmitted regarding what you want to achieve. It’s what you want to live by. That’s why it is ultimately what you become.

Love Manifests

A close friend called me and told me of an event…well actually several events just a little while ago. We had been working together and often felt as though our vibes resonate. There was seldom a need to say anything as our vibes carried us toward the next step. But that day, I was working on a project that required that person’s help. In fact, I found that as I worked harder, the more it felt like the vibes were of this friend. Our energies seemed to merge and expand. I kept going as the energy was tremendously productive. I could think better and there was clarity like we were in direct conference.

I made a call and as we chatted, this friend told me with laughter about the front door opening as footsteps went across the floor. It happened several times even when this door was locked from the inside! It was funny because my friend called out my name because the ‘ghost’ felt like it was me! Yes, we laughed and joked about meeting beyond time and space like ghosts. But let’s call this a quantum experience because it is the same experience we get when we meditate together. Such is our relationship. Just to set your minds at ease, we’re both still living in our respective bodies.

Is this what the wise ones are still teaching the world? Drop the hate, the control, the fighting for dominance. Now, we should be putting ourselves together and start to create and manifest a reality where there is always peace and prosperity. Being productive is the name of our game. Anything anyone wants can be created and manifested. Utopia? Heaven? Shangri-La? Hey, we all know of those super successful beings who have done so. If they have done so, we can most certainly do too.

Expert To Consult

Ask who is an expert to consult, and you’ll be duly overwhelmed. This is an extremely touchy subject to broach. It appears the whole world is screaming with “Look, I’m an expert! Consult me…buy my stuff…pay for my services!” Who the expert may be whom you consult with really is determined by the questions you ask. The best answers you receive are those which you do not know well about. That is why you seek the counsel of an expert in that field.

Who Is Not An Expert?

The Trained Professional
Nope. Absolutely not yet. Too many professional groups have formed very influential bodies in society and especially to the governments. The stated standards by which these groups have stated as the minimum that each person passing the tests and courses are just that…the minimum. Some groups have included an experience component like some doctors who have some specialist status. Other groups like accountants have created ‘fellowships’ which denote a senior professional. But in reality, there are other criteria which make one a true professional to consult with. None of these must be considered as such until you know they are someone to trust.

A Respected Person
Is this the field in which this person excels? If not, then it’s not necessarily so. You see, what are you really asking of this person? The questions you want answers to will determine if this person is right for that purpose. Really, why ask Uncle Fred because he is retired from being a medical doctor everyone seems to love and respect. He may know little or nothing about natural cures simply because, that is not his area of expertise. In fact he was never trained in it. However, he may know of some people who are natural medicine and nutritional experts. In fact, he may also be great as a respected recommendation so that you can have preferential treatment in some way. In this case, Uncle Fred is a resource, not an expert.

The Expert To Consult

How does one define such a person? There are a number of ways being used but they seem to converge on a few telling ideals. But it all boils down to using the services of the person best suited for the subject. And it is someone you can ultimately trust.

Trust
Trust is one ideal that must never be downplayed. Imagine a lawyer who is known to be successful and extremely aggressive but only cares to bill as many hours as possible. You the client will become wary of this and begin to lose trust in the whole process. That very definitely will compromise your case.

Great Track Record
Many people have come forward and made appreciative comments and recommendations about this expert as a consultant in this field. Now, the length of time this person has been doing this business may not have been very long. It need not take decades for such expertise to become apparent. Sometimes it seems to manifest overnight. But in reality, it can happen. The Beatles rose to stardom very quickly after their ‘miraculous’ discovery. It didn’t take very long before many song writers and performers seek their counsel.

A Special Talent
In very rare occurrences, someone with a truly outstanding talent in their field appears. He or she is proclaimed a genius and the world flocks to that person. Stephen Hawking or Steve Jobs comes to mind.

Love Of Their Craft
Let’s talk Beatles again. They appeared to have simply skyrocketed to fame overnight. But in an interview and in their real life stories, they were practising and playing in the most difficult of conditions and the sleaziest of music dens to perfect their craft. Their love and determination took them everywhere. They built their experience every single day for nearly three years before their fame came to light after the release of their first album which only took one week for them to be the musical sensation of our time.

Intimate Knowledge
Intimate knowledge comes from someone who lives by what they say. They seem to have developed a sense of what works and what doesn’t. It’s a wisdom they can live by. It is their way of life. Such an expert has developed heuristics that even many years of practise and many experts put together cannot match. That is why if there is any investment consultant that comes to light with such ability, he or she is usually offered many billions of dollars as compensation.

By and large, everyone can be considered an expert, but about what? Most importantly, to become an expert, that person must be sufficiently proficient in that field to be consulted with.

Personal Growth Beyond Pride

“Pride comes before a fall and personal growth raises your self esteem”. These two events become a dynamic that becomes our checks and balances of where we are in our personal mastery of life. Sounds like a great, poetic mouthful, but what does it all mean? I came from a philosophy class feeling quite tired out trying to decipher the good professor’s well meaning ways. It took me all of 2 hours of mental agony to create the above summary in parenthesis. I did it simply to compare notes between the ‘studied’ and the old fashioned experiential ways hence this story.

Always Learning

When Pride Comes Before A Fall

It was pride that led me to that great old dame of a university (I won’t say which one). You see, it was a challenge from a friend and utmost curiosity on my part which made me attend this class. But I’ll admit I have a bias against learning the latest and greatest especially in business from universities simply because they cannot teach experience that has a proven track record and works in the present. Rare are the professors who have proven what they do from a classroom. But in this case, since I was always learning anyway, why not attend this class and find out for myself if philosophy here works in my world?

Within the first hour, I realised that what is being taught here I had little to no reading experience about. Like a fish out of water, I could not even answer the so called simplest questions about the notable figures of the required reading authors. That’s mainly because I have never heard of them. My awkward try at answers was of course the object of mirth for the class. And yes, the professor was quite merciless too. His was to show I know nothing of philosophy his way. And that was so true.

And yes, he did practically destroy any pride I had about being well prepared in any philosophical classroom study. And as I observed this very strange phenomenon, I began to smile and share in the mirth of my inadequacy. Yes, it was becoming fun. I was actually learning a new way of presenting a course. Pick on the least prepared student and make a lesson of it. It worked. All the students were taking pot shots at me with their knowledge. Therefore, with all the information and highlights of the subject being thrown out, everyone had no choice but to learn. My pride fell and the professor’s pride rose…astronomically. Yes, the professor showed me up. Anyone can read that from his demeanour.

Personal Growth Is Beyond Pride

Should I blow up and make everything a disaster to my reputation and his? I can tell you, it was mighty tempting! But I decided to give it a beautiful wish and desire that this whole episode will become a great learning experience that turns out right.

My teachers, or shall I say my mentors used to say that when I decide to listen, I listen well. And so I did. After being lambasted for most of the morning, the good professor decided to take it all up a notch and made a class participation of returning a paper and the perfect summary of their experience of the day in class.

Now, one of the things and techniques anyone can use, and with practice look like a genius is this: When you want to learn, take notes using white paper and blue ink. Focus deeply in alpha as you write your notes. With practice, you can retain 99% or more of the details, regardless of your age. So, you already know I had all the details properly presented on paper.

The professor, my hat off to him, was duly impressed and he declared thus to the class. And for the final summary, “Pride comes before a fall and personal growth raises your self esteem” was really just my way of saying to him what I thought and felt without embarrassing him or me. So, we shook hands at the end of the day and we each have made a new respected friend. Have a nice day prof…

How To Still The Mind

Gurus speak in hushed tones of how they have learned from their masters how to still the mind. I tried to count myself among those disciples who tried and failed. To still the mind count among the stories of legends told about this incredible and special ability of the masterful gurus who have become great avatars. Then I actually met one of a well known masterful person and was shall I say, ‘advised’ to learn to still my mind. I know what I divulge will enrage some people who will say I belittle the ‘ultimate knowledge’. But there is the very few who will actually smile and nod that it is truth. The truth is always simple.

Why Still The Mind?

Learn How To Still The Mind Like The Holiest Monks

We’ve all been to the place of most resistance because paradoxically, it was the mind that told us it was the easiest to do so at the time. You end up under pressure …banging your head against the wall…trying to move forward in your business…in your relationships…in your desires…and hitting a different roadblock every day.

I’m telling you this because it is at this moment that you will recognise the problem. You’ll realise that’s because of this hidden constraint thing. It happens to everybody and once you know about it, your life becomes 1,000 times easier. Take my word for it. That number’s a good guide.

For me, that’s a good enough reason to keep my sanity, money, friends, loves, home, car and lifestyle. I intend to get even stronger and better myself like an Olympic athlete trains to do. Wait a minute didn’t I say something about stilling my mind and finding out the right way through some stroke of good luck? Yes I did. And here it is.

The Practice To Still The Mind

The guru said that since I understood the body is the mind then how else can you shut it all down to be perfectly still and still live?

“Huh? You mean death? And the soul then becomes the consciousness. The soul returns with as much memories as the body can remember or make use of at the time. Man, that’s deep.” You see, even asleep the whole body is still using energy like a freight train. Extremely deep meditation is practiced by many Tibetan Lamas almost reach the state of death where every bodily function almost stalls. Yet, this is still not enough to reach that ultimate stillness of mind.

The guru then said since you know it is the state when the body is so still it has reached a state of nirvana, then when can this natural state of awareness be likened to?

Simple answer. True joy, happiness, the mind living in heaven. Thus this is when our vibrations are at its zenith. This is as close as we can get to reach that stillness of mind because we are not thinking about anything that is negative like worry, fear or the meal on the table tonight.

The guru says thus you have already set your creativity without desiring. You already know. This is far beyond faith. Just sit, be still.

One phrase I’m sure you’ll begin to realise is true. To still your mind is not literal. It means to be free of all negative or lower life vibration stuff. Abraham Hicks’ Vortex comes to mind. This use in meditation is this. You have already set your creativity without desires because you already know. Therefore, when meditating, your stillness of mind is actually being totally free of worry, fear, et al. Check out the emotional guidance scale.

This meditation will actually raise your vibrational awareness to such a pitch and intensity that as you move through life you are still in that same vibration and meditation. You affect things much more effectively and powerfully. Everything you want you become it. Amazing huh?

I Got Lost To Find Myself

The theme for tonight’s mastermind is to define our calling. “I got lost to find myself” was my response when it was my story time. A bunch of us friends were going bananas and telling each other about our stories of how we came to find our calling. Our experiences were simply humorous as we told them but ironically painful to begin with. They were literally sagas of our existence and extreme challenges before we decided on our true passion. The greater the challenge, wise warriors used to say, the greater your accomplishment only if you live to tell the tale.

The Noble Quest Calling

I dare say all of us started out bright eyed and bushy tailed…so young and inexperienced but ready to take on the world come what may. But what came nearly defeated all of us at one time or another. Coming out on the other side of the experience, we all felt much wiser but shall I declare wondering if we’re actually quite stupid? With wisdom comes knowing when to push or to back off and finding the better way. Then I often realised what I had been doing to find many of the truths was absolutely wrong. Out of many ways to hurt myself, only one really worked. Hence not feeling very clever, and because I felt so accomplished, I can laugh about all those misadventures.

And that noble quest was like all of us in this mastermind, finding that illusive but heroic personality, the self. Otherwise, we say we seek our calling. But after many years of falling down mountains, going on pilgrimages, trying many forms of businesses and failing, winning or losing, loving or hating, we have found that the self and our calling is really one and the same. It is who you become that becomes your ultimate quest.

How I Got Lost

I got thoroughly lost as I began my long and often dangerous quest for my true calling. How that happened has more commonality with everyone else than is often realised. However, my journey was long, much longer than I really want to relate. But I have experienced a number of ways that are great as practical comparisons.

The Top Two Examples Are:

1) The Military:
Raw recruits, I have observed always go through an ‘orientation phase’. They are made to go through some extremely confusing and often meaningless exercises, punishment and simply made to run around without any purpose – watch a chicken without a head trying to do same. Within a very short time, fear is also instilled into mindless would be soldiers, who are now mentally more like zombies than people. And this is the main purpose – through disorientation, the recruits get so confused that they eventually become like marionettes at the whim of any commander. They have lost their sense of self.

Then several weeks later, these marionettes are now ready to be fitted with as deadly a weaponry as they will be meant to be used for. They are trained to use guns, knives, clubs, hands feet or anything else that can kill or injure. Let’s not forget explosives, long range guns and so forth. They are trained to be fit and generally in the tactics of outsmarting the enemy. But really, they are still taking orders to become expandable pawns of any war. Further training for more specific objectives is determined as the recruit progresses. Some even go all the way to become much higher ranking officers. Others become specialized technical workers, and we have the largest contingent becoming specialized killing machines.

But the most unfortunate thing that happens after all this training is that they are never detrained from their killing objectives and mentality before they are released back into the civilian life. I wonder why there are still so many overly stressed and very confused former soldiers living amongst us.

2) Religious Groups
No, I will not differentiate religious sects and religious what you might call it groups. Their modus operandi is all too familiar and similar. Rarely do I find any religious groups that are not fanatical about being helpful to humanity. By and large, they will be rebels for the sake of being rebellious. Their ideology is simple. Put together a set of religious rules, loosely aligned with the established churches or temples and simply recruit as many people as possible. There are so many people who are already confused and not knowing who they want to be, therefore, they are often very easy targets for these groups.

If you’ve actually observed their methods, you’d swear these unsuspecting people are recruits for the army. But in this case, they are being entrained to be some kind of mysterious “god’s” soldiers. Then as another batch goes out, they bring more would be dupes into their fold. And yes, they do get mighty wealthy these so called religious leaders.

Now, thankfully I was really on the ‘outside’ looking in. Also, I had some very helpful people who became great friends later on. They were helpful as we sometimes made milestones together. No, these two groups did not win me over. But that is what we all really did to ourselves as we searched for our calling. We literally lost ourselves.

To Find Myself Through Challenges

Challenges of all sorts came my way with relish. The more stressed I felt, the more the challenges that came my way were stressful, even terrifying. Death threats became common place at times. Yes, but being young and restless, these things gave one a huge lift to the ego to be able to face them down and win. But very soon, one realises that getting up the morning after becomes painful with all those bumps and bruises. I had burnt up all my resources too. But the advantage is that the next time, I win and I get to keep more resource and come away feeling like a million bucks, laughing. That was the turning point for me.

Challenges are what you call to yourself every time. But then wisdom eventually dictates challenges become the much easier to deal with issues. No problem is ever really that insurmountable because as issues, they can always be solved to my satisfaction. And as time went on, the groups of friends I joined became staunch experienced allies who help each other turn apparent disadvantage into advantage. Masterminds are so powerful that they can multiply the effect of advantages into sheer profitable fun.

It’s as you think, that what you desire to happen will come, but I have to remind myself to be mindful that things come in a way not recognisable as an advantage at first. With a mastermind, what one facet is not seen is noticed by another similarly minded and powerful individual. The mind is a calling machine. It is super intelligent with far more connective ability to the universe through your whole body, soul and your friends.

Now, if you can understand this, experience teaches us to do what is easy and wonderful and then rinse and repeat, but do it better. This is the fun. Wisdom teaches us that to get the best results in what you desire, you very simply become that which you desire to do. Describe what you want to do and the calling is what you call that person. It was that simple after all. But then, there is that illusive self of will called the soul. Understand that the soul loves to experience life as it unfolds, therefore the challenges to come so that you know what you never wish to occur. You often get lost before you find yourself. Therefore, being fully aligned with the universe, you will become that all powerful creator. No need to join any human concocted army or religious B.S. That transformation is your calling.

Turning Point In My Life

Everyone comes to a point in their life journey when an ultimate choice will be given. Such a turning point in my life happened which I can recall with absolute clarity. I still know it well because I am still living that choice right now. This is not about coming to a cross roads and making the wrong turn. It is coming to a certain location that I had envisioned and an ‘Aladin’s Lamp’ was offered by someone or some event. I am glad to tell you today that I took it, used it and followed through with it as best I could. And I knew from the times before this event, I was offered other lamps which I refused and lost that opportunity to turn my life for the best.

Today, if there is only one thing I can tell you to do when such a choice comes your way, I will always tell you to take it and run with it. Your treasure is down that road.

My Turning Point

Life's Turning Point This Very Second

I speak about my own experience about my turning point. But let’s relate it to you, the reader because this must be an issue to be much closer to home, meaning it is your turning point for it to make any sense. You must take ownership of the experience.

This was the moment when suddenly all I was asking for came about in one tiny moment in time. It came in the form of a book which started to direct me to the next step. In all, the steps became more and more frequent. In time, as I became more confident of myself, I developed steps that became milestones in my life. Mentors came into my life. I built my desired life direction one step at a time. It became a habit. But I can testify that all these activities that I can delve through drive me into ecstatic times that I mark so enthusiastically. Anyone can tell that I have done something truly worthwhile; I celebrate it.

You know of what I tell. If you are still unhappy with your life, you must have missed it completely or have not taken full advantage of the opportunity handed to you. Many of you are now living in abject regret of that moment or have simply not acknowledged it. Worse still, there will be some who simply are still wondering if such a thing even can happen!

Worthiness

Let’s come back to the moment I was offered my turning point like a gift from heaven. At first, it didn’t appear exactly as I had hoped it might have been. Many ancient cultures tell of never turning away a beggar because he or she may be a god in disguise, testing you. From your desires, a gift will be offered to you. But you must demonstrate your worthiness. Worthiness is from within. This is your mind and soul being as one to create the journey in your life you desired together.

In short, your vibes have brought you here. Can you now expand those vibes and carry it all through to your future? The journey is full of the unexpected and the expectant. Your rewards are there for you to grasp, but are you willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it all? You must develop the character to see all the obstacles through or become more than up to any challenge before you. That is worthiness.

Throughout history, mankind has called this by many different names: god, angels, higher self, heavenly power, universal energy or simply energy. It’s for you to use as you see fit. It is for you to know that you are worthy of your very own task.

Creating My Story

I am creating my story as I write this. I revel in it. When you say the very same thing, you are enjoying the unravelling what can come. You are in fact, writing your own book. Some say it’s like unravelling the onion. That’s not right. You are in fact building the layers as pages, but with all the strength of a solid foundation, as strong as you intend, and you display only what you want displayed above the ground.

You build your story as you see fit. Perhaps you build your magnificence like a Picasso style painting with all the facets there but in new ways of viewing it. Perhaps you’re the architect who designs buildings with the most beautifully flowing lines yet stronger than any structure that has ever come before.

Yet, given all those chances to choose, most people let it all go by. They let their lives slip into mediocrity and talk about all those missed opportunities that were so huge and gets huger still as they relate that story of eternal regret. Like the fishing stories where once a minnow that got away grew to become a whale through the decades. But these stories are never true. They have lived a sorrowful lie.

Why live like that? That’s sickening don’t you think? No, my friends. Go find more friends and help them survive and thrive. Show them their lives can turn on a dime. Demonstrate by the magnificent life you are leading that they too can have it. All it took me was the intense intent to change my life over the space of only a second. But many call it the ten second miracle…call it the 5 second miracle or even that golden minute of pure silence to make anyone realise what a lot of time they have been wasting over nothing they want!

Make the turning point in your life right this very second!
