Singapore is going to raise their living costs, and you have to be financially ready to slim your expenses and liabilities. My point here is if you don't plan, you are in the hot soup. Moreover, it will be very detrimental for you not to plan your finances, and I mean really really plan and break down your finances in very reliable and accurate details.

As it is being discussed, the goods and service tax (GST) is inflated by 3% to 10% and it is definitely has a great impact to the country. A chicken rice set that costs $3.50 has now gone up to $4. Or even more than stated. Singaporeans and not forgetting everyone who lives here and travels here has to really seek professional financial advise. These do not only apply to individuals but to businesses too. The more liabilities and assets you have the more you should protect it!

But look on the bright side, with the government setting up the GST Offset package, it is definitely a relief for us. Government has also put on ways to help and guide us through in coping up with these changes. Employers are also helping their staffs with bonuses and salary increment. Thumbs up for them!

I hope that in time to come, our children and future generation will live peacefully with their financial securities in hand and in mind.
We should educate them with financial literacy and knowledge right from the start. Make them understand about their current finances and plan ahead.

Yes, im able to retire by 60. because why? I believe in insurance because they provide protection as well and give great returns(guaranteed/non-guaranteed). I have start savings with insurance,American International Assurance to be exact. I have made retirement planning and financial planning too. And guess what? I'm only 23.A Singaporean. And even till now, I am also buying more insurance plans and also working hard to earn and pay myself first, that is through savings, so that I can have enough money when i retire to sustain till the rest of my days.

I believe everyone wants to retire healthily and wealthily, if not for ourselves, then for our children of course. Some might say, my husband is my financier and some might say my kids will definitely support me. But let me ask you, is enough ever enough? Therefore,Singaporeans and including the PRs too, should start to have this mindset and beliefs that retirement in Singapore especially, goes all the way early; the earlier you plan, the faster you accumulate wealth for yourself & family and retire happily.

Apec/CEO Singapore Summit 2009

I received a call early in the morning . It was an unrecognized number. I answered with a coarse and sleepy voice, and then upon hearing that it was a call regarding the APEC/CEO Singapore Summit 2009. I applied as a volunteer for it.

Julie called and questioned me why I wanted to volunteer for this APEC SUMMIT.

The answers just came across my mind and yeah! I answered it spontaneously. Well, guess that I wasn't prepared for the question.

APEC Summit is a joint convention where The President from all over the world will meet as one.
